After lunch, Severus and Sera headed back to their dorms to grab their class notes. The entire time he had to fight the urge to hold her hand or kiss her, he was not use to feeling this strongly about a girl before. He stayed a little longer then he needed while looking through his trunk, half hoping Sera would leave without him. Yet somehow the thought of not walking there with her, was hard to think about as well. What was happening to him, he laid on his belly on his bed, face in his pillow and screamed.
"Severus?" Turnus asked walking in with Evan. Evan was trying to stop a bloody nose.
"What happened to Evan?" Severus asked getting up.
"Selwyn hit him in the nose," Turnus said.
"Arr I did ras call her Serawina," Evan said through his arm.
   Severus could not help himself and started laughing at the situation, he grabbed his notes and laughed his way out of the dorms. He was surprised to find Sera waiting for him by the entrance. In fact, he was so surprised by this that is he actually smiled at her, and she, in turn, raised an eyebrow at him.
"Ready to go Severus?" Sera asked.
"Yes," Severus said and they head out the door.
"Are you excited about hanging out with Lily?" Sera asked.
"I heard you hit Evan," Severus said not sure how to answer her question.
"I was getting annoyed by him," Sera said. "He was using my first name without permission, then he tried to touch me." This made Severus kind of mad, he was finding himself to be possessive over Sera, this was odd for him, they only just became friends.
"Would you like for me to talk to him?" Severus asked.
"Thanks for the offer," Sera said. "But I am sure I can handle it myself."
"Come on Evans!" They heard Potter plead. "One date!" The Marauders were all there as James Potter followed Lily out of the Great Hall. For the first time, this did not bother Severus.
"Selwyn!" Sirius had spotted her. "Why are you with Snivillus again?" This angered Severus though, he was not sure what was wrong with him.
"Why do call you Severus that?" Sera said speaking to Sirius for the first ever. Even Sirius was taken off guard at first.
"Did you just say his name?!" Sirius choked out.
"Yes," Sera looked at Severus. "Well, there is the proof that Gryffindor is the house with the least amount of brains." This caused Severus to laugh a little.
"Hey!" All the Gryffindors said, including Lily.
"But his name is so annoying!" Sirius said.
"Says the dog boy," Sera said. "Besides I happen to like the name, Severus. Lily are you ready to study?"
"Yes," Lily said.
"Study?" James said. "Doesn't that sound like a good idea boys?"
"Yes, yes it does!" Sirius said.
"What? But you two just said," Remus started.
"That studying is a fine way to spend and an afternoon especially with very lovely ladies," Sirius said and try to put an arm around Sera. But before he could her wand was at his throat. Serafina's wand looked very old, perhaps even centuries old.
"Do not touch me," Sera said to Sirius, he, in turn, started to back away. "Severus, Lily, library?" She put her wand away and the three of them headed upstairs.
   They got up to the library and found a table, Sera sat on one side and Lily sat on the other side. Severus shocked both of them by sitting next to Sera, though Lily smirked a little at this.
"My next two test are Divination and Astronomy," Lily said.
"We have Arithmancy and Astronomy," Sera said.
"How old is your wand?" Severus asked out of nowhere.
"I'm not sure," Sera said. "It's been in the family for a long time. It was my fathers, and before that, his grandfathers, and his grandfathers and I think even his grandfathers."
"Woah," Lily said. Severus's eyes were wide open. "What's it made out of then?"
"Hornbeam and Vampire Fang," Sera said. Severus and Lily's eyes widened.
"Vampire Fang?!" Lily was shocked. "I did not know they could use that."
"I thought those were only passed down to the males of the bloodline," Severus said.
"Normally yes," Sera said "But I am the last one left."
"No brothers?" Lily asked.
"He died when I was almost 4 years old," Sera said, then she opened a book and could not look at either of them.
"Your parents did not want to have anymore children?" Lily asked.
"Umm," Sera started but her voice was quiet and Severus thought he heard it shaking.
"I think we should just study," Severus said.
   The three of them studied for a bit, Astronomy took about an hour. Lily said that Arthimancy and Divination were so simular that they should study that together a well, and see all the things they have in common. There were no problems, the three seemed to get along very well. That is until they started studying History.
"So many strange names in wizarding history," Lily said. "Hedwig? Rowena... Godric, Salazar."
"They are good names," Sera said.
"You would say that," Lily said. "You even think Sev has a good name, no offence Sev."
"Severus is a good name," Sera said.
"Why would you say that, you have a normal name, Sara," Lily said.
"My name is Serafina," Sera said.
"Wow," Lily said.
"You really like my name?" Severus asked.
"Yes, its fun to say to," Sera said. "And very wizard like."
"What kind of name is Serafina," Lily asked.
"I was named after my father," Sera said. Lily and Severus looked confused. "His name was Dragos Serafim Sewlyn."
"Dragos?!" Lily said. "Why are there no normal names."
"My name is normal," James Potter showed up with the other Marauders. "So is Peters'." James and Peter sat down next to Lily.
"And we have very wizard like names!" Sirius said sitting by Sera and pulled Remus down next to him. Severus glared at Sirius.
"Go away dog boy," Sera said.
"Hey we came to help you study," Sirius said.
"Then atleast switch seats with Lupin," Sera said. "I don't want dog fleas."
"That may not help," Severus said. "Both have fleas."
"True," Sera said. "But Lupin only gets his monthly."
   Everyone at the table stared at Sera wide eyed, well everyone but Lily. Lily sat there confused, by the comment and by the reaction. The strangest part was everyone acted like Sera had said something huge, but she was calm and pulled out her History notes.
"Selwyn?" Remus asked hesitantly. "What do you mean by that?"
"You know what I mean," Sera said. "Now If you guys actually want to study, then switch seats. or leave."
"She's being nice?" Peter squeaked out.
"I do not believe in fighting in front of books," Sera said.
"What's going?" Lily asked as Sirius stood up and glared at Severus. Remus and Sirius switched seats.
"Snivillus," James asked. "You told Selwyn but not Evans?"
"Does that mean the entire Slytherin dorms know?" Sirius asked.
"I did not tell anyone," Severus said. "Professor Dumbledore made it clear if I told your dirty secret I'd be expelled."
"Then how?" Remus asked.
"It's quite obvious for anyone who pays attention," Sera said. "It's just most teenagers are more preoccupied with friends and dating."
"And you're not preoccupied?" Sirius asked.
"Until last night, I had no friends," Sera said.
"What?" Lily said. "That's so sad."
"Hot chicks like you should never be lonely," Sirius said. "I'm always available to keep you company."
"I'm not into beastiality," Sera said. Severus started laughing.
"How can you go five years without any friends?" James asked.
"I've never had any friends," Sera said. "I find most people pointless. I'd rather read."
   Now they were all looking Sera oddly, it was hard enough for them to think about five years with out any friends, but her whole life. Even Severus had Lily has a friend before Hogwarts. Sera tried to talk them into studying, which they finally did; though a table of five Gryffindors and two Slytherins together did cause some turned heads.
   The boys did not have their books with them, since they were just trying to snoop. So Lily shared with James and Peter, and after sigh Sera gave her book to Remus to share with Sirius, and she shared with Severus. Severus was not use to having a pretty girl this close to him, not even Lily had ever sat this closet to him. And somehow it was going pretty well, even with Severus this close to the Marauders.
   That all changed when Serafina made a comment about the History book lying about safety levels. Lily tried to argue, claiming that the school would not lie to them that much. James tried to calm things down saying that the farther back in history you go, it the higher the danger level.
"Muggles can be dangerous," Sera said matter-o-factly.
"That's just your Slytherin parents talking," Sirius said.
"My parents were not Slytherins," Sera said. "My mother was a Hufflepuff. And my father went to Durmstrang."
"Oh of course," Sirius said. "Durmstrang is like Slytherin on overload. So you dad is another fanatical pureblood slug."
"Don't insult my father!" Sera snapped at Sirius.
"I'm just stating the obvious," Sirius said. Sera stood up like she was going to leave. Sirius stood up too. "Ohh come on cutie you have to realize you dad has slim for brains."
"Shut up!" Sera said.
"And what kind of Hufflepuff would marry that," Sirius wondered. "They are probably off hanging out with with annoying cousin Bellatix. Talking about how to kill muggles."
"There's a good way to end up in prison," James said.
"Both of you shut up! You don't know anything," Sera said angrily and yet on the verge of tears. Then she ran out of the library, in a split second Severus had some how decided to follow her instead of staying with Lily, and gather both his and Sera stuff and stood up.
"Where are you going Snivillus?" Sirius said. "You'd never stand a chance with her. I will win her over and change her mind from what her family told h-"
   Sirius couldnt not finish the last word, Severus had punch him, a left jab right to the face. Sirius fell over, Lily and Marauders sat there in stunned silence, Severus just left after that to find Serafina. Though he was also trying to avoid the fact that his left hand was hurting.
