The Grindelwald Legacy
Chapter 67
For all she was uncomfortable with the hold he had on her, Lucy was so turned on by now she was desperately hoping he would return the favour. And soon. When he straightened, his organ slipping from between her lips, she eased her fingers carefully from his back passage and willed them clean as she licked her lips.
Through his pain and panting, Severus still noticed the heat of desire in her eyes and was concerned that leaving her now might prove unwise, but the mark was persistent and he could not ignore it.
“Lucy, I am sorry, truly I am, but I must… I have to leave you.”
“What? Why? No. You can’t Severus, please. Have I done something wrong? I… “
“No no. You did nothing wrong. On the contrary… Argh!”
Lucy saw him grab his arm and guessed what was happening, but she also knew she could not let him go, her own need was too great. “Severus please, let me see if I can make it stop, show me where it hurts, let me try.”
He looked at her incredulously. “Don’t be a fool. No one can stop the mark when the Dark Lord summons. Even if they could it would be folly to do so. It would be tantamount to signing ones own death warrant. Floo the Headmaster, you have been taught how, tell him where I have gone. I mean it Lucy, you must return to Hogwarts.” He told her, all the while adjusting his clothing, delving into his bag to retrieve the mask and cape that signified his role as a Death Eater. Severus would have preferred to take her to Hogwarts himself, but already he had delayed too long, most likely Voldemort would demand an explanation of his activities before applying the crucio as punishment for his tardiness. “I promise I will attend to your needs at the earliest opportunity.” He told her as he strode to the back door and out to the garden to apparate.
Panicked, afraid of what might happen to him, scared he might not return, anxious for some relief of her own that she could not control, she screamed at him not to go, bolting through the door and grabbing the surprised wizard as he started to disappear.
“You bloody fool.” Severus whispered angrily, his fingers biting into her arms as he shook her once he realised what she’d done.
“I-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I didn’t want you to go.” She cried, staring round fearfully at the dark, barren wasteland surrounding them.
“Damn, someone’s seen us. Now what am I meant to do? How the hell do I explain you? Gods what a mess.” he hissed, beside himself now with how to account for bringing the Grindelwald girl with him. He needed to find a reason why the Dark Lord should let her live, as well as allowing her to return with him to Hogwarts. All that on top of the punishment he was already guaranteed to undergo. “Oh Gods what a mess.” He said again, hauling her to her feet and keeping her close to his side. “Whatever happens, do not react in any way to what you see and hear, just do as you are told and follow my lead as best you can. I will try and protect you to the best of my ability, but I have no idea how the Dark Lord will react to your presence. Keep your eyes down, and do not, under any circumstances, speak unless spoken to. And for Circes sake, hold that temper of yours or you’ll get us both killed.”
“Avery, Hensall, a welcoming party?”
Two sets of eyes scrutinised Severus from behind masks, then moved to take in the young female.
“We were send out to find you, you‘re late. She for tonight’s entertainment?” Hensall asked, observing the plump breasts even in the dim light.
“She is not. Keep your hands to yourself Hensall.” Severus replied smoothly. Though he gave no outward sign of alarm, his voice calm and composed, inside he was in turmoil.
‘Ohshitohshitohshit.’ Raced through Lucy’s mind, horrified at being here with these men, wizards, Death Eaters. Whatever they were, they looked absolutely terrifying in those hideous half skull masks and blood red capes. And Severus, pushing her slightly in front of him, was donning the exact same items, drawing up the hood to cover his hair and brow.
Once suitably attired, Severus reclaimed his hold on Lucy, feeling her startled response to his touch and hating the appalled expression on her face when she turned to look at him. “Calm down you silly chit.” He whispered quietly enough that the two accompanying wizards would not hear.
“Calm.” She said, her voice shaking. “C-calm. I can’t calm. Oh shit I can’t calm.”
He tightened his fingers round her upper arm hard enough to bruise, needing to distract her from the rising panic before it took hold and she went off the rails.
“Ow, that hurts.” She whined, trying to dislodge the unrelenting fingers and eliciting a guffaw from the other two at her complaint.
Severus ignored her, right now having her bellyache about his rough treatment was preferable to all out blubbering. He maintained his bruising grip, half steering, half dragging the reluctant witch as they neared a large building.
It loomed over them, casting a large shadow even in the dim moonlight, no signs of habitation perceptible through the murky windows. A doorway gaped open just off centre, looking more like a yawning mouth ready to swallow any unsuspecting prey that happened to tread too close to it’s gaping jaws.
At least that was the impression Lucy got of the old, dilapidated manor as they got closer and closer.
She stumbled as they mounted the uneven grey steps, wailing as the jagged stonework scuffed at her bare toes, only to be hauled to her feet roughly as their pace quickened until she was scampered to keep up.
“Remember, keep your eyes down, speak only when spoken to, and kneel when we approach the Dark Lord. Address him only as ‘My Lord’, unless he tells you otherwise. And whatever I say, go along with it.”
Lucy blinked back tears, shaking hard enough to come apart as one of the two wizards with them opened a hefty door near the end of a huge entrance hall. Inadequate light cast a spooky glow over the four figures, thick flurries of dust disturbed by their feet coating them, making her already watery eyes itch and tickling her nose.
Now she was glad of the painful grip Severus had on her, she honestly thought she would try and scarper if he released her now. She definitely would not be able to stay upright, her legs were weak and her knees would have knocked were she allowed to stand still long enough.
Keeping her eyes glued to the filthy floor as instructed, Lucy saw only a blur of booted feet, table legs, and the grimy bases of armchairs, sofas, and what looked like the edge of an old mattress pushed to one side. Voices intruded into her brain, lewd comments and discordant laughs. A pair of dull black boots and brown trousers with ragged hems approaching from the side. She caught a whiff of the terrible stench coming from the nearing figure and gipped. The disgusting odour of rotting meat and something else she couldn’t identify assaulting her nostrils.
Again Severus ignored the individual, undeterred in his quest to reach the far end of the long room. Then Lucy saw the hem of a set of dark green robes, shiny black boots and the ornate feet and legs of a chair before she was forced down to her knees and let go of.
She tried to keep still, not to look up as she trembled visibly on the floor. She was aware of Severus on one knee beside her and wanted to take his hand, have him reassure her that everything was going to be alright. But he was talking and had told her to do and say nothing unless told to. So she stayed as she was, too afraid to even look sideways, trying to listen to what they two wizards were saying.
“The Grindelwald girl you say. And by who’s authority do you dare to bring her here Snape?”
“No one’s My Lord, her presence is unintentional. The girl manhandled me as I dissaparated, I had no alternative but to bring her to your presence.”
“You mean you allowed a mere slip of a girl to pursue you across the grounds of Hogwarts without you noticing?”
“No My Lord, we were not at Hogwarts. We were at the girls home.”
Voldemort leaned forward in his chair, his slit like eyes narrowing even more. “Explain Snape, and this had better be good, for both your sakes.”
“The cottage was empty My Lord, the girls grandmother absent for the weekend. We were availing ourselves of the seclusion to… engage, as it were.”
“Shut up you buffoons.” Voldemort hissed at the chuckles and catcalls from those gathered around the room. “You mean you were fucking her?”
“Yes My Lord. I hope my behaviour is not offensive to you, since it was not my wish to inspire your wrath. The girl was already sexually active, It seems she got it into her head that I would make a more… acceptable partner. That I would be able to satisfy her, where less mature, younger wizards could not My Lord. The witch can be very persuasive when it suites her, and I am a male like any other.”
Lucy nearly fell over in shock. She couldn’t believe Severus was telling a complete stranger, in a room full of more strangers, what they were doing at her house, or that she went after him to screw her. Well she did, kind of, but that wasn’t the point. Now she wanted to die of shame, her fear equalled by mortification at the way this conversation was going.
A hitched sob escaped her, drawing the attention of Voldemort. He rested his gaze on the huddled form on the floor, one hand pressed over her mouth in an attempt to quiet the shuddering breaths and uncontrolled sobs.
“You girl, look at me. Severus, you may rise.”
Lucy’s eyes looked round wildly before she lifted her face to the voice that spoke. The room spun madly for a minute when she saw the horrendous phizog of humanity.
His face was white like bleached bones, and he had no nose that Lucy could discern. Instead he had slits that pulsated as he breathed. His eyes were like horizontal gashes above none existent cheekbones, the pupils vertical slits like a cats. But it was their colour that most disturb Lucy. They were red, red and glowing in the dim light, they looked into hers with an intensity that made her feel as if he was looking into her head, reading her thoughts. As soon as the notion hit her, Lucy was sure she could almost feel him in there, sifting through her memories as past images sprung to the forefront of her brain. Instinctively she willed him out, unwilling to share her thoughts, memories, or ideas with anyone. Her secrets were her own, not open to inspection.

Aaahh. She’s met Voldemort, and he’s trying to get a look in her head.
How’s he gonna react to being shoved out again?
