CH 69 Drucilla
“Father please, do something.” Draco pleaded, his/her eyes constantly flickering from Lou to his/her father to the Headmaster to the Professor and back to Lou again.
Lucius stared at Lou, insulted at first that she dared to speak to him in such a manner. That feeling soon turned to astonishment at the show of magical power she was displaying, and it was all directed at him. Even his precious Dark Lord had not shown this level of magical ability, and she appeared to have full control of what she was doing. It more than unnerved the normally powerful wizard as well as instilling a certain amount of fear in him as he realised she could most likely do exactly what she threatened to do.
“Very well, I shall endeavour to meet your wishes.” He told her in the most dignified way he could muster. He held his haughty appearance, but the fear and trepidation showed clearly in his eyes.
“Take an oath Mr Malfoy. An oath that you will stop bullying, threatening and buying your way through life, an oath that you’ll teach you’re so …daughter respect for others, an oath that you’ll teach her good, by example.”
Lucius looked at her horrified. “You really do not expect me to …”
“An oath.” Lou said quietly, raising one arm and laying a hand on his shoulder.
Lucius’ face contorted with the pain that shot through his entire body, he felt like he was on fire inside, his organs sizzling, his bones blistering with the intensity of the inferno she was causing in him.
“Very well, I will take the oath.” He choked out, agony all but overriding his ability to speak.
Lou removed her hand from him and pulled the magic back inside of her, then she sat calmly back down in her seat and gave Lucius Malfoy a sickly sweet smile. “I’m not quite the meek, pathetic little creature you thought I was Mr Malfoy. The oath.” She reminded him, removing the binding spell Severus placed on him.
Lucius Malfoy stood holding his wand and took the oath before his son, Severus, Albus and Lou, all the time staring at her malevolently until the oath took effect.
As it did, Fawkes swooped from his perch and landed for the briefest moment on Lucius’ shoulder, gave a short trill and flew back to his perch.
Draco stared mesmerised as her father stood and bowed courteously towards Lou, a brief smile on his lips that actually seemed to meet his eyes.
“Father, what are you doing? Surely, you are not giving in to her after what she did to me. You have to do something father, make her change me back. I refuse to stay in this school another minute until I have my …am back to normal.”
“Draco, Madam Black has already stated that your situation is irreversible. I am certain that given time, we shall learn to accept that this is who you are now. I see no reason to miss your exams merely because you are now my daughter. I shall explain everything to your mother, I am sure she will be delighted to help you adjust to your feminine side, once she gets over the shock. Meanwhile I shall have a whole new wardrobe made for you, how does that sound?” Lucius asked his daughter.
Draco stared at him open mouthed, unable to speak with amazement.
“Do close your mouth darling, it is hardly becoming for a young lady. We shall have to change your name also, it would not do to have my only daughter with a name like Draco now would it. Any suggestions?” He asked.
Lou turned towards Severus, one hand over her mouth to stifle the giggles as her eyes watered at the expression on Draco’s face.
Fawkes trilled happily, knowing he’d helped in the transformation of Malfoy Snr when he gave his seal of approval to the oath Lou made him take. From now on, Lucius would be not only bound by his oath, he would abide by it willingly.
Draco hissed and spluttered, unable to believe his fathers reaction.
“You’ve put him under the Imperius, I know you have. Take it off, I won’t be a female, I can’t.”
“It would seem that you are one whether you like it or not Draco. As your father has suggested, a new name would be in order, I think a change of dormitory also. I am sure Miss Parkinson and Miss Bullestrode will be only too happy to share with you from now on.” Albus said, his eyes twinkling madly.
Severus too was forced to turn his head. The spectacle before him was difficult to accept as it was, when Lou turned to him obviously struggling to hide her own mirth it was almost too much for him. His mouth twitched madly at the corners as he tried to contain himself.
“Deirdre. That really is a pretty name, what do you think Draco?” Lucius asked. “Or Drucilla for your great grandmother? You choose dear.”
“Draco sat down and buried his face in his hands crying. It’s not fair, how could you do this to me father, and I don’t want to share with Pansy and Millie, they’ll force me to wear make up, I just know it.” He sobbed.
“Tell you what, I’ll make you an appointment at Madam Beautus’ salon in Diagon Alley, your mother simply swears by her. Now stop crying, it is so unattractive when a female has red puffy yes. I shall send on your things as soon as your mother has had chance to see Madam Malkin. Bye dear.”
“Madam Snape, I offer you my sincere apologies for all my past infractions and sincerely hope you can one day find it in your heart to forgive me. Good day to you all.” Lucius bowed once more and left the office.
Lou by that time was practically choking and finally gave in to her laughter, which only served to make Draco/Drucilla cry louder.
“Severus, perhaps it would be better if you were to escort your wife to her room while I take Drac …Drucilla to the infirmary.”
“Nooo. I will not be called Drucilla. My names Draco. Draco.” Drucilla wailed helplessly.
Severus half walked, half carried his hysterical wife back to his office and cast the Reles humor (Release humour.) on her.
“Are you quite calm now?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry. Are you gonna send me away? Please don’t, I don’t want to be on my own. I know I shouldn’t have done that spell but it was the only one I could think of at the time.”
“Where did you learn the spell Lou, I certainly did not teach it to you and it was not included with the Dark Arts education spell you undertook?”
“In the same book as the ritual to call sielulintu. There’s lots of different spells in it, when I read them I didn’t intend to use any of them, I was just curious. Don’t send me away.” She repeated quietly.
“It was never my intention to send you away Lou, as far as I am concerned you have avenged yourself against the Malfoy’s in a most appropriate manner. I was also impressed by your restraint when you unleashed your power up there. What happened when you placed your hand on Lucius’ shoulder that caused him such agony?”
Lou lowered her eyes shamefacedly. “You’ll tell me off.” She said.
“”I will not tell you off Lou, what was it?”
“Kind of a mild Cruciatus. Just enough to really hurt him, not like the proper one.” She told him, hoping he wouldn’t go off the deep end.
“You can control the severity of the Cruciatus curse?” He asked, astonished.
“Yes.” She answered, sotto-voice.
“Once again, I am impressed, though I do hope you will not make a habit of using that spell Lou, you know as well as I it is still an unforgivable. I am surprised the Ministry aurors are not already here.”
“I didn’t use a wand, you told me they detect unforgivables through our wands and mine was still in my pocket.”
“Merlin, I did not realise. Do not tell anyone of this ability whatever you do, if word got out that you can cast unforgivables wandlessly the Ministry would never leave you alone. I am serious Lou, no one.”
“I won’t, I promise. Se …Professor, can I ask you something?”
“You may.”
“Why do I have to carry on with my schooling? You’ve already given me a full education with that spell, it seems silly.”
“Because from now on we have to put on a show, no one must know the truth of what happened, you know that. The Ministry must think we undertook the Binding to gain Voldemort’s favour, so enabling us to vanquish him. Hence it is necessary for you to continue your education the same as any other student your age, while I continue to teach. We have been through all of this already Lou, you know what the consequences would be should we deter from our story just as you know how I feel about any relationship between us while you are still underage. It is not up for debate. Now, I suggest you go to your room and ready yourself for lunch. The same rules still apply. Good day.”
Lou was about to go out the door when he spoke again.
“Oh Madam Snape, do not forget you have detention this evening, and be sure to arrive, if I am forced to come and find you, your punishment will be much harsher.”
She stared at him open mouthed. “After what’s happened you’re still gonna …why?”
“You already know why you are to be punished, just as you know I never allow any chastisement to be written off. Six thirty, my office. Do not be late.”
Lou closed the door, stunned. ’Of all the blo …no, don’t even think it.’ She told herself. ’If you’re listening Severus, I didn’t say it, I didn’t. Okay?’
Severus chuckled to himself as he heard her thoughts. Then stopped as he wondered how he would cope physically once he’d spanked her tonight. ‘It’s not as though I can even go to Hogsmead to find some relief, not now that I am married. Damn.’
When Lou entered his office after supper that evening the chair was waiting in the centre of the room.
The wards and silencing spell were put up the instant she nervously closed the door, and she reluctantly made her way towards her husband who now sat waiting for her.
Six times he brought his hand down on her rump, two strikes for each curse she’d thought before entering the Great Hall. He than added two more for the curse on the spiral staircase and two for allowing Harry Potter to hug her in the Great Hall.
Severus never said a word as he punished her and sent her from the room immediately after so he could retire to his bedroom and relieve the erection he’d sported the second she’d entered the office.
The fact that Lou was now alone in her own rooms thinking very dirty thoughts as she studied her bottom in the mirror only heightened his arousal as he worked at himself, his ejaculation strong as her thoughts of him spanking her then fucking her filtered into his mind.
Hogsmead weekend was cancelled because of the large group of reporters that refused to leave the main gates of the castle grounds. The Ministry was set to come and speak with Lou and Severus on Monday morning with a press conference scheduled for that afternoon.
Severus, Lou and the Headmaster spent the weekend cloistered in the Headmasters office going over and over the story they would tell the Ministry and the press. They tried to keep it as near the truth as possible without revealing details of the Sampo or the rituals that took place.
Lou was totally fed up when they went over it for what must have been the hundredth time on Sunday afternoon. She actually fell asleep on Albus’ sofa as the two wizards droned on and on about the importance of getting their stories right.
“I think Severus that we will achieve nothing by continuing this any longer. Clearly Lou cannot process any more than she already has.” Albus said, indicating the sleeping form on the settee.
Severus shook her shoulder gently to rouse her and told her she could go down and join her friends until it was time for supper. “If it is not ingrained into your brain by now, it never will be.” He told her wearily. He too was tired of going over the same details, as was Albus and they decided to call it a day.
The new Minister for Magic, Alexandro Gamp, arrived at Hogwarts at eight am and was seated at the high table with the headmaster and the rest of the staff when Lou arrived with her friends.
She snuck a look at Severus and saw he did not look pleased at all. His scowl was deeper than usual as the minister constantly tried to engage him in conversation.
Lou knew he’d be in a foul mood by the time breakfast was over and they had to meet in the Headmasters office.
“So, who is going to speak first? Miss Nilsen-Black, would you care to …”
“Minister, please address my wife by her correct title.” Severus said coldly. “Lady Snape or Madam Snape if you would not mind.”
“Oh, yes, of course. I do apologise, it quite slipped my mind. The Binding was genuine then?”
“Of course it was genuine.” Severus growled. “One cannot fake such a thing Minister, surely you realise that.”
“Of course. Now Madam Snape, perhaps you would care to give me your version of events leading to the demise of You-Know-Who.”
Lou studied the tall gangly man in front of her. She didn’t like him at all. She’d been nervous about meeting him, he was the Minister after all. To her though he seemed like a blubbering idiot.
“Voldemort said …”
“Please dear, do not speak his name. It is most unnerving.” Gamp told her.
“What? If you want my story I’ll have to say his name, he’s not gonna jump out of the woodwork and shout boo you know. Anyway, Voldemort said that Professor Snape had to Bind me so that he could make me give my money to Voldemort. The Professor and me decided we’d go through with it so we could kill him together when the ceremony was over. We told him, well Professor Snape told him that we wanted to remove my Binding collar in his, Voldemort’s presence because it’s considered an honour. Voldemort was so flattered he agreed and cleared the place. As soon as Professor Snape took the collar off we cast the killing curse together and that was it. Voldemort was dead.”
As agreed, Lou had told her story simply, in as childlike a way as possible to the Minister. Though she was shouting Voldemort’s name merely to aggravate the Minister. She’d also told him that both she and Severus cast the final curse together when Severus had been adamant that she was to say she was solely responsible for his death. Now he would be forced to back her up.
Severus then gave his version of events, like Lou, he also used Voldemort’s name frequently, taking a sadistic pleasure in watching Gamp squirm in his seat each time he did.
“That still leaves the matter of your marriage. Even I know a Binding cannot be broken, but I shudder at the thought of a Professor at this school taking someone who is in essence still his student to his chambers each night.”
“Minister do not concern yourself on that score.” Albus told him. “Professor Snape and his wife have no intention of having a relationship while under this roof. Madam Snape has her own rooms quite separate from the professors. Their association will be no more than that of Professor and student, until such time as Madam Snape has completed her education and is free to be with her husband. This is quite voluntary on both their behalves you understand. Legally, Professor Snape has every right to have his wife fulfil her conjugal rights, and there would be nothing you, I or the ministry could do about it. I believe it shows strong moral fibre on his part for demanding this temporary separation, don’t you agree?” Albus said.
Gamps jaw worked several times before he was able to utter any sound. “Y …yes, it most ce …certainly does. Well, I suppose that concludes our meeting. You will both of course be hearing from us about your Order of Merlin medals, first class of course. The Ministry would be delighted to host the celebration personally and I look forward to seeing you both there. Show the world a united front and all that.”
“No.” Lou told him.
“I beg you pardon young lady?”
“I said no. We don’t want to come to your celebration, we want to have our own here. This is where our real friends are, the people who’ve supported us, who care about us. No one at your ministry helped us, none of you wanted to know when Harry told you Voldemort had come back nearly three years ago. You all denied he existed for the longest time, is that unity? Harry told me what you did and said, how you dragged his name through the mud, where was this unity you speak of? My husband had to suffer terrible things for years just to get information because you lot wouldn’t help, where was your unity then? So no, we wont be coming to your celebration, have it on your own.”
“Really Headmaster, this is most unorthodox.”
“And you Professor Snape, are you going to allow your wife to get away with speaking to me in such a manner? I sincerely hope that you will chastise her most severely, she really needs to learn how to behave before attending any functions the Ministry will be holding.”
“No Minister I will not chastise my wife. Everything she said is true, as for celebrating, we shall indeed be doing so at Hogwarts, not at the ministry. Now, you have stated that this meeting is over, I believe my wife wishes to meet with her classmates and I have homework to correct. Good day to you Minister.”
Severus stood and Lou jumped up to stand next to him so she could follow him out.
“Well if that’s your idea of a Prime Minister I think he sucks.” Lou said halfway down the spiral staircase. I don’t understand how someone like that gets to rule everyone.”
Severus gave her a curt nod of agreement but said nothing.
Not that Lou noticed, she was excited that Severus was getting a medal, relieved that the interview was over and annoyed that the Minister told Severus to chastise her. ‘Of all the nerve.’ She thought.
Severus opened the door to his office and Lou carried on to her rooms still deep in thought. She was brought out of her reverie when a hand clenched her arm and pulled her backwards. “In here.” Severus told her as he led her into his office.
“Oh, why?”
She watched as he warded the door and put up a silencing spell.
“Why did you do that?” She asked warily. “I didn’t swear, I know I didn’t. Not even once.”
“I am aware of that, what I would like to know is why you changed our story at the last minute?” He demanded, his face a mask of annoyance.
“I didn’t I …well not really, I just …it’s not fair that you don’t get recognised for what you did. I don’t want to be a stupid hero, especially on my own. You’ve spent years working for this, so have the rest of the Order. I only played a small part and I didn’t suffer any of what the rest of you did. All I did was what you told me to do.”
“You did a lot more then that Lou and you know it. No one else could have brought the Sampo into play, no one else would have called sielulintu. You are the one who had the Sami, whistle and Kasa hidden in your satchel. Yes, we knew of the Horcrux’s, but we knew nothing of the itse and all the other …whatever they were. Only your wand could cast the final killing curse with enough power to finally destroy Voldemort and his damned henki. You were the one with the power Lou, not I, not Potter or anyone else.”
