The weekend approached and (G)Harry started to panic. Why did he agree to a duel to the death? He was not nearly as good as (E)Harry at dueling! He hadn't completely mastered wandless magic yet! The rest of the week was spent feverishly preparing for the duel.

(E)Harry had forbidden them to tell anyone of the oncoming duel, for fear of interference. Hermione had freaked out and buried herself in the library amidst a mountain of books. To her surprise, (EH)Pansy had joined her. Hermione had gladly accepted her help after she'd shown her some books with references Hermione had never seen.

(E)Harry strutted around the school as though Christmas had come early. He wasn't scared in the least of the upcoming duel. In fact, he was eager to finally have something to do. The whole 'good' world bored him immensly.

"I can't believe you accepted, you idiot!" Draco told him, the night before the duel.

"Hey! You're my boyfriend, you're supposed to support me!"

"I don't think that applies to killing yourself!"

"I'm not going to kill myself, well, okay, I guess I technically am, but that's not the point!" Draco shook his head in dispair and cupped Harry's chin.

"Harry, this is not a good idea." Harry nodded.

"I know, but it's too late."

"Tell someone, a teacher, or something!"

"I can't."

"Bloody honest Gryffindors."

"You know you love me for it." Harry grinned. Draco smirked and allowed Harry to kiss him.

"I might not be able to if you get yourself killed." Harry shrugged good-naturedly and kissed Draco again.

The night of the duel came, and Harry sat nervously on his bed trying to calm himself down. Draco sat with him, rubbing his back. Ron was so nervous he forgot to be mean to Draco. At 8:30 that night they all left together for the Astronomy Tower. Hermione had squeaked nervously and sprinted off to the library for a bit of last minute research.

They reached the tower and waited for (E)Harry and his gang. They showed up several minutes later, (E)Harry smirking wildly. Everyone spread out into a circle, enclosing the Harry's. (GH)Hermione and (EH)Pansy were the only one's missing. (EH)Ron stood sneering at them all, and (EH)Hermione wore a very ugly look indeed.

"So, Potter, ready to die?" (E)Harry asked condescendingly.

"Yup," said (G)Harry. (GH)Draco made a growling noise in his throat, it was a very threatening sound, and (G)Harry was glad it wasn't Draco whom he had to duel, although (E)Harry was just like him.

They moved around each other and the circle. (E)Harry threw a curse at (G)Harry, who ducked and it missed him by inches. Harry whipped out his wand, but (E)Harry had the upper hand. He threw curse after curse, (G)Harry only barely avoiding them each time.

"Aren't you going to fight back, Potter?" (E)Harry asked meanly. (G)Harry scowled and tossed aside his wand. (GH)Draco's eyes widened in horror. (G)Harry dodged a curse that cracked past him and threw one of his own back. It flew over (E)Harry's head and singed his hair. This enraged him and his next hex hit Harry directly. Harry stumbled and almost fell, but caught himself before he hit the ground.

He stumbled to his feet, his eyes narrowed dangerously. Then he directed a curse at (E)Harry's legs and a jet of red light flew out of his hand and struck (E)Harry in his ankles. (E)Harry fell over, (G)Harry had hit him with the leglocker curse. (E)Harry muttered mutinously and preformed the counter-curse. He jumped to the side just as another curse flew at him.

"Stop! Stop!" Yelled a voice. (GH)Hermione and (EH)Pansy came running up the stairs. (G)Harry paused to watch them coming, but paid dearly for his lapse of concentration. The spell hit him in the stomach and he double up coughing. Another spell hit him in the back and he twisted around in pain. He caught a glimpse of (E)Harry laughing.

(G)Harry straightened up, despite the pain and threw a jinx at (E)Harry. The jinx flew past him and ricocheted off the wall, but bounced back and hit (E)Harry in the back. He was knocked off his feet by the force of it.

Suddenly there was a voice overhead, booming over the crowd of people. They all looked up and (E)Harry took advantage of their stolen attentions. His last curse hit (G)Harry directly in his face. The last thing he saw was a blinding blue light, and then everything was darkness.

"Do you think he's okay?" Someone whispered.

"He should be, it wasn't that bad..." Another voice trailed away.

Harry opened his eyed groggily and tried to sit up, but found his body was too heavy for such a feat. He glanced around him and saw a familiar white room.

"Oh no," he groaned. There was a sudden movement around him.

"Harry!" Someone shouted. He winced at the loudness of the voice. Someone else said, "Shhhh!"

"Harry," said the same voice, quieter this time, "are you okay, mate?" It was Ron.

Harry opened his eyes wider and recognized Ron's hair and Hermione's bushy mane.

"What happened?" He asked urgently.

"Oh, well, everyone is gone. Pansy and I found something in the library at the last minute and we had to tell Dumbledore and Snape, and long story short, they're gone."

Harry sat up suddenly.

"Really? And no one died?" Hermione nodded happily.

"Where's Draco?" Harry asked looking around.

"Over here," said a drawling voice. Harry looked to his left and saw Draco coming in through a side door. Harry grinned at him. Draco crawled onto the bed and straddled Harry's lap. He kissed him roughly, demandingly, possesively. He finally pulled back and Harry pulled him into a hug. Ron looked away akwardly. Hermione just smiled at the pair of them.

They all stood in Dumbledore's office. Harry looked around confused.

"Dumbledore," he started, "What happened?"

"You're back, that's all you need to know. We have a few things to start working on. Since you were gone Voldemort tried to gain hold. We have to start fixing this right away." Harry smirked.

"No problem, I'll kill him in a second, just give me a target." Dumbledore smiled wryly.

"It's good to have you back, one more good thing and I was going to come get you myself." Harry smirked again. He turned to leave with the rest of the group.

"Your welcome," he added just before vanishing down the staircase.

Harry and Draco burst through the door to Harry's bed room, kissing furiously. Harry pushed Draco onto the bed and pounced on him.

"I'm so glad to be back." Draco smiled at him and kissed him again.

"I'm glad we made it back."
