Remus quickly picked her up and carried her into the drawing room, he kissed her cheek lightly before sitting her on the couch. Snape and Sirius had followed, they were both curious about what had happened to cause this reaction. Remus placed his arm around her shoulders after he sat beside her.
“Tell me, love, who’s Car-”
“Don’t say his name. Please.” Kris begged Remus not looking at him. Upon hearing her pleading request Remus fell silent but he still wanted to know who the man was. Kris took a shaky breath as she closed her eyes, “I-I was th-thirteen when I first met him…” She began but trailed off as she opened her eyes.
She looked up at Remus with eyes that begged him not to make her talk about it. Remus sighed then spoke quietly, “Severus, is there a way for you to get Dumbledore’s pensive? I can tell this is one memory she doesn’t want to share.”
“If she would have stood up to Albus then surly she can tell you her past?” Snape said not really wanting to visit the empty office.
Kris glared at the man then snapped, “Fine!” She then took a deep breath and stood up and began pacing. Sirius had to jump out of her way as she would have trampled him had he not. “When I was thirteen there was this man, he told me he was a friend of my father’s. I, not knowing the truth, believed him and agreed to meet him at this farm. He had told me it belonged to my father and again I believed him. It was night time and on a full moon, he-”
“Kris, love, you don’t have to continue if you don’t want to tell us.” Remus said quietly as he had noticed the tears she was holding back. He could sense that the telling of the tale was upsetting to her, hell if anyone asked him to tell his story he would he upset.
Kris stopped and looked at Remus she shook her head then sat on the floor. “If I want you to trust me then you should know this, especially before tonight…” She trailed off avoiding his eyes.
Remus and Sirius’ eyes widened before they exchanged a look. Sirius got on the floor and sat beside her, “Go on, sweetie.”
She smiled sadly at him before she continued, “He wasn’t there. But after I looked around I found that the place had been abandoned years before then. When I went inside the house I found him… he was in his human form as the moon was behind the clouds. He lunged at me then he… ripped my clothes off before he…” She paused before she added in a whisper, “forced himself inside me.” She jumped when Remus growled as Sirius swore.
They remained silent for a few moments before Snape spoke, “You said ‘human form’ what’s the rest of the story?” He narrowed his eyes on her which made her recoil.
She sighed then said, “After he finished the moon showed itself and the beams shone through the windows. He was still leaning over me… the last words he said was ‘you’re mine now, bitch’ before he changed. Before I could even think about what was happening he… his…he swung his claws at me…”
She placed her hand on her chest and Remus watched her a moment before asking softly, “That’s where he marked you, isn’t it?”
“Yes.” Kris whispered before she turned toward Sirius and started crying into his chest as he placed shocked arms around her.
