Sorry it took so long to get the 7th Chapter up.
Hopefully none of you are too angry at me if you’re return readers!
Lol… I sorta lost my ‘inspiration’ for a few days, but I got it back tonight.
Feel free to review as well, I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Note: This was going up earlier then it was posted, but I sadly got caught in their downtime. Lucky, me – eh? Their downtime for me is 3:00AM since I’m USA Central Standard time. I just realized that it was so late after I finished, how funny. Either way, I still hope you guys will enjoy this chapter!
-----------------------
She was running – yet she could never move faster than barely a walk. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t run. Behind her was a large black snake, eyes blood red and fangs probably a foot or two long – body length too long to tell. She was in a forest, dead trees all around a full moon over head – eventually the scenery transitioned to a cemetery. Her head turned back as she looked towards the snake, her legs still moving forward – she was breathing heavily, obviously panicked.
“Oh god, oh god! What the hell is going on!” Stephanie whimpered to herself.
Moments later she collided with a large tombstone in the shape of an angel, a weak ‘oompf’ coming from her as she promptly landed on her bottom. Her head had snapped back towards the direction of the snake, but all that was left was an eerie black mist. She shivered as figures began to appear, all cloaked in black.
“W..who are you!?” She snapped, trying to stand up – her body just wouldn’t respond, why – why wasn’t it responding!?
Stephanie tightly closed her eyes, counting to five in her head before opening them again. Yet they just simply widened – they weren’t ghosts, they were real! Goodness, how did she get in this situation? One of the figures began to walk closer, a familiar hiss emitting from beneath the cloak as his hand lightly brushed against her left arm.
“Do..Don’t touch m…me,” she stammered, unable to move her arm away – her eyes snapping down towards it to see what the issue was.
She went pale, as the hand roamed downward towards her wrist – a black form was left behind and as the hand lifted up – she saw clearly… it was the dark mark. Her eyes looked up towards the cloaked creature – it had to be Voldemort, who else could give that to her?
“You… you will be the key in the downfall of the wizarding world,” the voice cackled, hands grabbing her shoulders, “it will only be a matter of time till I find you… you can’t hide who you are forever.”
Stephanie cried out, his touch burning her skin as he just… disappeared – a loud ‘poof’ was heard as her body crumpled down to the ground, curling up in a fetal position. She… she was able to move somewhat again – her head barely lifting as merely inches from her face lay the broken body of Adriann, lifting it further she noticed other mangled bodies that were easily identified as her family and friends – her vision blurred as tears began to roll down her cheeks.
“N… NO!” Stephanie bolted up in bed, tears pouring down her cheeks as a light coat of sweat settled on her body. Her cat mewled, startled by her sudden outburst.
“I…it was.. a …” She looked around, her breathing uneven as she tried to quiet herself. Dream… it was a dream, that’s all it was. Voldemort can’t have the same connection he has with Potter – he can’t! That’d ruin everything. Please let this be some stupid… dream. Even though it’s a nightmare, but still!
“Miss Kirchner?” A familiar voice broke her from her thoughts as she looked over towards the door – which she thought she had locked, but then again – teachers needed some way to get to students if they were in peril and the door was locked, right?
“Y…yes… Professor?” She barely was able to get her voice above a whisper, embarrassed that she’d apparently been loud enough to get someone out of bed to check on her. Her vision was downcast, towards her blankets as her hands clenched and unclenched the material.
“I was sent by Dumbledore – I heard you scream and…” He cleared his throat as he walked over to her, “Dumbledore feels the need to have you learn Occlumency – obviously he might be correct. Do tell me what this… dream was about – I need to know, hopefully it’ll determine things.”
“Occlumency… but…. but… there’s no way Voldemort’s mind and my own are connected! That’s preposterous! I’m… My whole family… has… is… ugh! I don’t even know who my family is, but how could I be linked to that slimy snake?” She spat with disgust, glaring towards the wall now – she still couldn’t face Snape.
“I believe you have a dream to tell me about Miss Kirchner. We both are in need of sleep and it’s merely 3AM, tell me – now.” Snape had an irritated tone to his voice as he walked closer, standing merely a foot away from the bed she sat in.
“In a nutshell? Fine. I was running, but couldn’t – there was a huge black snake chasing me in a forest. The forest changed to a cemetery – figures popped out, one seemingly Voldemort. All and all I ended up having a dark mark after he touched my left arm and he basically said I was the ‘key’ to the downfall of the wizarding world and that he’d find me,” she frowned at the last few words.
“Miss Kirchner – I do not know if you possess a link or not, but I will need to teach you Occlumency, we cannot risk anything.” He grabbed her up out of her bed and began to storm off towards his personal quarters.
“P…Professor – I’m hardly dece…en…enoug…enou…” She was trying to get the words out as he drug her along like a stuffed animal – he never stopped, obviously not listening to her at the moment as he opened the door and walked out with her.
At the entrance to the girls dormitory stairs stood Malfoy, a blank stare replacing his normal high-and-mighty attitude look as he took in her wardrobe, but it quickly faded as he commented – “My, my… who’da known you wear that?”
Snape glanced back at her and visibly flushed before looking away, letting her hand go she snapped back and brought her arms to her chest, her legs bending somewhat – as though she was trying to shrink away. Her face burned with humiliation. All that covered her was a silky green, spaghetti strapped babydoll v-neck nightie – a silver snake fastened right at the end of the ‘v’ seemingly looking as though it was slithering upward between her breasts – giving them a slight reason to stare there. It was like having ‘Juicy’ written across your ass on your shorts or something of the sort – she huffed.
At least it wasn’t see through, but it still barely covered her arse. What was worse, she was with two of the three Slytherins she wouldn’t mind – bedi – Stephanie outwardly coughed at the thought, causing them to look at her as she shook her head and sighed, beginning to walk forward past them.
“Well I’m here, you two have seen, come on – lets do this retarded Occlumency… thing.” She had to seem unaffected, including after what she’d said to Malfoy a few hours ago. Standing her ground would be a whole lot better then breaking down into a fit of hysteria from them seeing her in an indecent manner.
“You heard the girl,” Malfoy placed a hand on her back as he began walking her towards Snape’s room, “lets get going Professor!”
Snape merely raised a brow at Malfoy’s attitude – not moments earlier he was going on a little tirade about how she was a tasteless bitch whom he’d have nothing to do with unless it meant shagging her senseless – which Snape had reprimanded him on. Then again she does look quite delecta – Snape growled softly, reminding himself that she was a student and his thoughts should be elsewhere – like how they were going to set up the schedule of Occlumency.
“Do you mind removing your hand,” Stephanie flinched back from Malfoy after awhile causing him to only move closer. “Seriously, Malfoy – I meant what I said. Quit touching me – ” She pulled away once more – her wand now in hand as she pointed it slightly towards Draco, “or I’ll hex your balls off,” she promptly finished.
Snape looked slightly confused as he noticed her wand, but sure enough she was wearing a silky green garter with an elastic green slot large enough to fit a wand. Smart girl, he thought to himself as his lips curled up – Draco obviously was just as confused as he was before noticing as well.
“Psh, you wear your wand to bed Kirchner?” Draco’s tone seemed almost impressed as he backed off – not wanting to be hexed at the moment, he’d clearly forgotten his wand.
“Better to threaten people with when I’m unexpectedly hauled off to learn Occlumency,” she simply stated finishing the last thoughts in her mind – of course I wear my stupid wand to bed, who wouldn’t? Anyone would be nutters not to; this night just fricken proves it!
“Sarcasm… cute. I like them fiery,” Draco grinned as Snape muttered the password to his quarters and ushered them in.
“Disgusting dragon,” they both heard her mutter as she looked around.
“Miss Kirchner, eyes on me. We will be thinking up a schedule for you to learn Occlumency, you will be staying here tonight with Mr. Malfoy and myself,” Snape went on to conjure up a scroll and held it out to her, “Mr. Malfoy and I have already stated what times we’re available, we will expect you to work around our schedu— ”
“Your…. YOUR schedules!? What… the… fuck? Oh, no – no, no. I did not ask for this, it’s being forced upon me,” she snapped glaring at the two – her eyes a deep crimson, a snarl ripped from her seconds later. “I just want to go home! HOME! Do you not get it?” She broke down into a fit of sobs, her body crumpling down to the floor.
Draco didn’t know what to say as he merely glanced away a few seconds before deciding her sobbing was a tad too painful to hear. Snape watched as Malfoy walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder only to have her shrug it off, her cries only getting louder.
Home… what does she mean home? Like with her parents? It can’t be… or she’d say that she’d want to get out of Hogwarts and go home or something… something to that effect. Draco tried to decipher her words like they were some cryptic message as Snape trailed off rummaging around in his cabinets, trying to find a Calming Draught.
“Here,” the deep voice broke Draco out of thought as he looked over towards her, watching as she downed the potion, her sobs only coming as soft sniffles and hiccups here and there. Finally, that girl is an odd one, Draco sighed moments later causing her to place attention on him.
“I’ll… try to work my schedule out with all of you – can’t stay … I’ll send Sesshomaru with what will work… later on today. He’s my black and white cat… has a black collar with a big bell on it – if… you happen to come across him,” she described so they wouldn’t brush the animal off, “I think I’ve taken up… enough of your guys’ time,” she muttered as she began to stand, wiping her face off – tear trails marked her cheeks as she began to walk towards the exit.
Draco began to walk towards her as he looked back at Snape, “I will look out for him,” was the only reply she got from the Professor – his voice somewhat drained of energy – what was the point in forcing her to stay when she was in the state she was?
As the two exited she couldn’t bring herself to look at Malfoy. She’d gone from being a level-headed bitch to nothing but broken glass, he must think she was bipolar or something. She jumped moments later as she felt a hand lightly rubbing her back and a voice, “don’t tell anyone I did this,” he mumbled as his hand directed her towards the common room.
“Pure-blood,” the door swung open at the password as he let her settle down on the couch. “You’re hiding something, something huge aren’t you?” Draco stated calmly – it was more a rhetorical question – he didn’t seem to expect an answer.
“I just hope it’s not discovered before I can make a difference,” she whispered, barely audible – the hand rubbing her back lulling her to sleep as she fought to keep her eyes opened.
“Kirchner – ” he was cut off as she looked up at him sleepily.
“Call me Stephanie… please… hearing my last name… from you annoys me for some odd reason Malfoy.
He momentarily showed a shocked emotion as he glanced away, correcting himself – “Stephanie, I think we should get to bed. I don’t think you’d enjoy waking up to the entire male population of the Slytherin house gawking at your goodies.”
She almost seemed to ponder the thought of staying and …having that event occur – he lightly whapped her on the back to wake her up somewhat. “You better not be thinking about that, Stephanie – and you can call me Draco. Anyway, lets get to bed – I’m pretty sure we’ll be exhausted tomorrow if we don’t and we were supposed to stay in Snape’s room, but he saw that you were stressed out and you told us you’d get back to the schedule – so he didn’t press you further,” he went on to inform her as he began to stand up – walking towards the boy’s dormitory.
“D…Draco..” her voice was laced with uncertainty. “Ple…please don’t go. I forgot to ask for…. a potion to prevent the nightmares I’m having and I don’t wanna wake up alone again,” she knew it sounded pathetic, but she didn’t know how she’d take it if the nightmare reoccurred.
“Ugh… Dammit Stephanie,” Draco grabbed her arm lightly before trailing off towards the boy’s dormitory yet again. “Fine – but don’t come crying to me when there are rumors spreading about, including with the outfit you’re in. Unlike you, I have a dorm buddy – Blaise to be exact,” they were at his room as he opened it walking over to his bed he put up a silencing spell and glamour.
“They can’t hear us and it looks like I’m the only one in the room sleeping in my bed, okay?” he watched her get comfortable in his bed as he took the time to undo the large green curtains surrounding his bed so they covered it up. “You better fall asleep fast, the only reason I’m letting you do thi – ”
Draco took a moment to study her as he noticed she’d already fallen asleep. Why do I feel like I’m going to either regret this or never want it to end? He allowed a small smile to grace his features as he moved into the only vacant spot on his bed, his back to hers – didn’t need her to accuse him of things – as he then drifted off into his own slumber.
Little did either know –
Blaise had been up the entire time,
and he seemed to have a pug-faced guest who was fuming mad.

Thank you for reading! I hoped people liked this chapter.
It’s a bit longer than normal – mainly due to the nightmare, but there was lotsa content too. Over all I just hope people liked it, I liked it – can’t wait to see how I write out Pansy’s reaction towards Stephanie!
Lets hope I get Chapter 8 out faster then 7.
