Chapter 7-HEADMASTERS OFFICE-
“I have called you two here today to discuss my concern for Mr. Potter” Albus Dumbledore explained to the two young adults sitting before him in his office. Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger looked on confused: what was wrong with Harry?
“Harry has been taken from his relatives home and it’s imperative that we find him as soon as possible” Albus said in a grave tone all the while studying the reaction of both teens.
Ron and Hermione both gasped.
“Bloody hell” Ron murmured quietly at the same time Hermione spoke.
“But sir weren’t there protective wards around the Dursley residence?”
“Indeed Ms. Granger but it seems that Voldemort has found a way around them and has subsequently kidnapped Mr. Potter and killed his relatives” Albus paused before he spoke again.
“That is why I have called you two down here today I have reason to believe that someone close to Harry betrayed the whereabouts of the Dursley home”
Hermione paled and Ron remained staring seemingly at nothing though he was listening intently to the conversation.
“Surely Headmaster you don’t think Ron or I betrayed Harry” Hermione said indignant at the thought that either of them would betray their friend.
“Now Ms. Granger I am positive that neither of you would do such a thing but I have it on good authority that Harry was corresponding with someone secretly throughout the last school year at Hogwarts”“Well headmaster the only person that we know for sure that Harry was sending mail to was Charlie Weasly”
Ron paled at the mention of his brother’s name.
“And do either of you know why he would be sending mail so frequently to Mr. Weasly” Albus questioned peering over his half-moon shaped glasses.
“Well Harry became interested in become a dragon tamer like Charlie was”
Ron cut in.
“He said that he didn’t want to be an Auror anymore as fighting on Dark Wizard was enough for him for one lifetime”
“That’s all? He didn’t mention anyone else?” The headmaster pressed.
Both teens shook their heads looking guilty that they couldn’t help the headmaster more.
“Very well then you both may return to your home Mr. Weasly” Albus said calmly although he was fuming on the inside at not getting the answers he wanted from two.
Ron and Hermione nodded before walking out the door silently to use the floo that was in the Gryfindor Common Room
Once in the common room Hermione turned to Ron.
“Do you think he suspects something?” Hermione questioned quietly, looking around trying to detect a presence that wasn’t there.
“If he did I don’t think he would have let us leave so easily Mione” Ron said while gathering floo powder in his had in preparation of the trip home
“I cant believe that old bastard was monitoring Harry’s mail” Hermione said in disbelief, replaying the conversation with Dumbledore in her head.
“He’ll get what’s coming to him Mione” Ron said in a confident voice.
“Lets just hope that Harry knows what he’s doing in the process”
Ron said kissing his girlfriends forehead before stepping into the green flames. Hermione sighed before doing the same.
