Chapter 7

I ran back to my room pulling on my two piece and grabbing a towel. They were waiting for me and we all walked the short distance to the waterfall and pool. The water was relatively high today and the waterfall was like a slide. Right at the base to the falls was as a rope swing over that water. A tree hung over the water with a strong branch you could jump off of as well. There were a series of rocking that were needed to climb to get down to the pool. It was a very beautiful scene but the water was freezing even on a hot day like today. I put my foot into one of the smaller pull and yelped pulling it out.

“IT’S FREEZING!” I yelled.

“The best way to get into water like this is to jump right in.” Remus said.

“You’re crazy, Remus. Humm maybe being a werewolf makes you more tolerant to cold water.”

“Nope he’s just crazy but right if you don’t just jump in you won’t really get in. Come on we can slide down the waterfall. You know how to swim right?” Severus asked.

“Yep oh I have to be nuts to do this but lead the way. You have a fire to go back to right and lots of blankets because I will be numb by the time I get out.”

“Nope but we can quickly make one when we get back as well as hot tea. You’ll be fine we won’t let you freeze to death.” Lucius wrapped his arms around me sharing his body warmth from his half naked body. I wanted to snuggle closer into it. He had tight abs and strong arms that I felt very safe in. I had it urge to turn and kiss him. It scared me, I shouldn’t want this man. How I don’t know I only just met these men I could not have feeling for them but I could not control what I was feeling even if it was unexplainable. He was too old for me and already married. Yet as I looked over the other two I felt the same feeling of attraction and a bit more towards them. I wanted them but knew I could never have them and pushed that idea away to become another dream.

“I’m not cold yet.” I pulled away “Right now I’m hot let’s go Severus. You have to get in as well Lucius.” Grabbing his hand I took him with us to the top of the falls. “Ok Severus you go first since it was your wonderful idea.” I smirked. He sat down shivering the stood right back up.

“You are right it is freezing.”

“Oh come on I’ve already been in while you were chickening out up there.” Remus yelled from the pool below. I groaned and sat down where Severus was and pushed off. I screamed as the water pushed me down the slide into ice cold water. Sputtering as I fought my way up to the top gasping for air.

“It’s so cold Remy I have a brain freeze how can you stand it.” I quickly swam to the side and pulled myself up onto a rock as Severus came down having the same reacting as me. It took a bit longer to convince Lucius to join us. We began a game a tag which was very unfair since Severus was a great swimmer and was almost impossible to catch and even harder to get away from him. It ended up with a bunch of laughter and slashing as the three of us ganged up on him. A few jumps off the rope swing and I was ready to head in. I couldn’t feel any part of my body and couldn’t stop shaking.

We got back to the cabin and I grabbed a change of clothes that I brought with me and changed in their loft and got changed while the lit a fire. I peeked over the edge watching them do magic. I know I probable wasn’t supposed to watch but I was fascinated by it. After we all got some tea and pulled the sofa and chairs close to the fire I began Harry’s fifth year. Severus was sitting on one side of me and Lucius was squeezed on the other side. Remus was sitting in the chair in front of me using my lap as a foot rest. I didn’t mind I just turned my body to lean against Severus and put my feet flat on the other side of Lucius resting my legs over his and started the story.

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix start off with Harry at the Dursleys he was out at the park when Dudley came up followed shortly by dementors. Harry had to cast the Patronus charm. He gets a letter from the ministry saying that he is expelled. Soon after a bunch of people come to save Harry from the Dursleys bring him to. I’m assuming you all know the location of the order don’t you?”

“Yes Mandy I know its # 12 Gimmauld Place and we already promised you that nothing you tell us will cause anyone hurt.”

“Ok good anyway he learns about the Order of the Phoenix and also sees his friends again who were not forthcoming with information throughout the summer. He meets up with more of the order after the meeting and sees Sirius. He learns a bit about Voldemort and what he is doing and that he is after something. We then learn that Gimmauld Place is the house of black and Sirius shows Harry around some we meet Kreacher the house elf which comes in handy later in the stories. The hearing is the next day for weather Harry is expelled or not. Mr. Weasley takes Harry to the Ministry of Magic and the hearing. We learn a bit about the ministry and Harry is found not guilty. The strange thing is that the hearing was run as thought he was a murder not underage magic.

“The Hogwarts letter comes and Ron and Hermione are prefects. On the train ride they meet up with Luna Lovegood I must say Luna is one of my favorite characters in the books. There is something mysterious about her that interreges me. Like she knows more then she lets on she seems like she would be a good and loyal friend. Anyways Luna is a bit quirky but Harry seems to like her enough. The sorting hat sang a strange song that year about uniting and working together. We were also introduced to the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Umbrage. Don’t get me started on her. She wore the ugliest pink knit outfit and had the look of a toad. She had an annoying way of clearing her throat and said a speech about the Ministry invading Hogwarts which is exactly what she did in the long run but I’m getting ahead of myself. She didn’t teach the students real magic but only the theory of magic. She also liked to torture her students with a blood quill.”

“We all didn’t’ like her, but none of the teachers until after the year was done knew that she was using blood quills. They are illegal didn’t know if you knew that. She was a vial person even I hated her. She would talk about all of our teaching habits in the teachers’ room and make correction on lesson plans. We had to bring every lesson plan to her for approval. I was glad when they got rid of her.” Severus said. I twisted around and gave Severus a hug.

“Don’t worries the mean old witch can’t hurt you anymore. Mandy is here to protect you.” I said earning a swap on the head and a glare “Oh scary now I know why your students run in fear. Lucius save me!” I curled up into his side hiding my face. He began to run his fingers through my hair laughing flipping me to his other side putting himself in between me and Severus. I snuggled closer to him and muttered. “Your warm and smell good.” I blushed and quickly continued the story after getting back in my only spot complaining that it was cold on the end. This time Severus and Lucius seemed to move closer to me holding me in a rather loving and protective way. I began to run my fingers over Remus’ leg massaging the muscle I found there.

“Back to Umbrage, she wouldn’t listen to Harry when he said that they needed to actually do defective spells because Voldemort was back. It seemed like the ministry was in denial that he returned and was taking anything the Dumbledore and Harry said as a lie. This ended up landing him in many detentions of him writing I must not tell lies. He also gets band from Quidditch. Ron getting a letter from Percy saying that he shouldn’t hang out with Harry and that Dumbledore was wrong yadi yada. Cho Chang begins to show an interest in Harry and they start to date.”

“Umbrage begins to take over the school. Have become rules and other nonsense things that everyone was expected to follow. She interrogates every teacher and sits in on classes. She is there when you talk about your job ideas and makes rude comments constantly. She sucks the fun out of life is the best way to put it. Well they realize that they have to learn defense some way and Hermione comes up with the idea of creating a club called Dumbledore’s Army DA for short to teach students how to defend themselves and fight against Voldemort in the end. They have their meeting at Hog’s Head in Hogsmeade. Umbrage getting words of this and makes a rule that no club may be held without her permission. They ignore what she says and does the DA anyways.

“I’m going to skip the Quidditch match and jump to Hagrid coming back. Of I forgot to tell you he was gone. Well he wasn’t there when school started yeah he was asked to go and see if the Giants would join Dumbledore. Harry is getting visions from Voldemort and sees Voldemort’s snake trying to kill Mr. Weasley. He tells Dumbledore just in time to save him. He had Christmas at Gimmauld place. When he gets back to school Dumbledore orders you Severus to each him Occlumency. Why were you so cruel to Harry I can’t imagine that that is how you are really suppose to teach it.

“It isn’t. Dumbledore wanted him to make his brain easier to pry into no block it. He wanted the information that Voldemort was sending Harry. I was to make him weak. I didn’t want to but I knew that I had to keep up appearances. I also taught him in regular detention how to do it properly.”

“You make Dumbledore sound bad I don’t’ really understand.”

“He is bad we will explain everything then you are don’t there is a lot that happened so far that isn’t quite right. We will explain it in the end, please continue.” Severus said.

“Ok, still don’t know why you want to hear this story. Harry takes Cho out on a disastrous date. Trelawney is fired and Firenze the centaur is hired. Umbrage finds out where they are holding the club and breaks in. She uses your son to do it. Some groups that she forms to spy on the students. Some of them escape but most of them are captured and given detention. One of the girls told her where they were at this time they didn’t know that she was using Veritaserum on the students to get information out of them. Dumbledore is fired for organizing the club. Umbrage becomes Headmistress. During one of the Occlumency lessons Harry looks into you Pensive and you refuse to help him any more. He sees some things that the Marauders did. Hagrid has found his half brother Grawp and he introduces Harry, Ron and Hermione to him. They end up later on taking care of him.

“It’s time for the O.W.L.S during their tests Umbrage went crazy on Hagrid and there was she tried to hurt him. He gets a vision from Voldemort in the middle of History test about Sirius being captured by Voldemort. He run to try and save him he tried to fire call him but Kreature told him that Sirius wasn’t there. He gets caught by Umbrage using the fire. She calls up Severus to get some more Veritaserum and Harry tries to warn him about Sirius. You didn’t listen.” I gave him a glare before continuing not waiting for a response from him. “Umbrage debates using the Crusiatus Curse on him. Hermione tells him to tell her about Dumbledore secret and brings her to see Grawp. The centaurs are mad and take her prisoner. They get back and use thestrals and flew to the Ministry of Magic. They sneaked down to the Department of Mysteries. Harry picks up the prophecy and death eaters show up. They fight when Harry wouldn’t give Lucius the prophecy. They break the prophecy so that Voldemort can’t learn what it says. The order showed up and Sirius died falling through the veil of some kind. Harry runs after Bellatrix to kill her. He runs into Voldemort but Dumbledore shows up and they fight. Voldemort invades his mind and body. He fights him off. The Ministry comes and sees Voldemort is alive before he disappears. Harry goes crazy in Dumbledore’s office but he hears the prophecy from him after breaking almost everything in it. That is about it besides trying to find a ways to keep talking to Sirius.”

“I think I should start and explain myself.” Severus said “You are obviously mad at me for what I did in Umbrages office. The whole Department of Mysteries was planed out between Voldemort and Harry. There is a lot that happened that year that wasn’t explained and some things that are wrong here us out. Umbrage for one wasn’t supposed to catch Harry and it was fast thinking on both Harry and Hermione’s part.”

“Severus you are getting ahead of yourself we need to start from the beginning in the summer. Voldemort contacted Harry again over the summer and they began to talk about each of their lives. Harry begins to realize how similar they both are and begins to see Dumbledore for who he really is. He was building a weapon to make him seem great. I don’t know if you know that story of Gindinwald and Dumbledore.”

“Yeah I know it or at least part of it.”

“Dumbledore manipulated Grindinwald into what he was then deserted him. He used Voldemort to do the same thing again but it back fired on him when he became more powerful then Dumbledore expected. That or Dumbledore is weaker then he thinks. Harry was just another one of his experiments so to say. The prophecy is true but not to the extent that it is mentioned in the book. He knew that Harry would have to die in the end and he would get the glory. Voldemort opened Harry’s eyes to what was going on. He was living in an abusive house and Dumbledore must have known but didn’t do anything about it. Hogwarts is suppose to be the safest place but Voldemort got in every year. That couldn’t have been a quinsidsence.” Lucius said.

“In return Harry explain some of the faults in Voldemort’s ways and they began to communicate about what could make the world better through the scar. By the end of the summer they had an understanding between them and Harry was seriously thinking about switching sides so the speak. It wasn’t until he was locked in Gimmauld Place with no information and not being allowed to attend the meetings that he really switched. This was when he approached me about it hesitantly yes. I think he was talking with Lucius and he said he could talk to me. By that time we were seeing each other and Lucius know I would be supportive.” Remus picked up.

“Once Harry got to school he began to see who might be able to join him. Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and the twins joined Harry. It took a bit longer to get Ron in on it but by the Department of Mysteries he understood. You see the Weasley’s are very attached to Dumbledore. Bill and Charlie already broke away from the family when they left home. They weren’t as obvious about it as Percy was though. They started up the DA to try and attract students to join the cause, a few of the group did not know the truth. That was why I had to act like I did in Umbrage office to keep up appearance.” Severus said.

“Like I said the Department of Mysteries was planned, we needed to know what the prophecy said and Voldemort couldn’t come out of hiding and get it so Harry was our best match. During the correspondence between Sirius and Harry, Harry pulled Sirius to the dark. Yes he was part of the set up. Sirius wanted to get away from Dumbledore so he faked his own death. Bellatrix sent a very strong invisibility spell on him and he quickly took a potion to block his magic signature. He then followed the other Death Eaters to the floo and left the Riddle Manor. Now the prophecy Harry didn’t break it when Luna knocked the other prophecy’s down be acted like it and slipped it into his pocket. When we captured everyone he slipped it out of his pocket and into one of the Death Eaters hand who pocketed it and dissaperated.”
