Lidia opened her eyes to see an unfamiliar bedroom. It was white and pink, the bed she was in was very large, there was a plush light pink carpet on the floor and a huge fireplace. There were bookcases all filled to the brim and littering the walls, glass doors that led to a porch that overlooked all of Asguard and found all around the room were overstuffed chairs, a few couches and two chaises. There were two window-seats on either side of the room and a large closet that she could see through the open door and on the opposite side was another open door that she could just see a bathroom through. Talk about living in the lap of luxury. She rolled on to her back and listened to the sounds that were outside her door and smiled to herself, there was someone pacing out there and she was sure that she knew who it was.
“You can come in now, daddy” She called out and grinned when the footsteps stopped and then the door handle dropped and he entered.
“Good morning” He greeted, there was a tray in his hands which he settled on her lap and sat down on the bed with her just watching her when she did nothing he nodded to the tray “I...don’t know what you like...so I grabbed a little of everything I saw”
“Thank you” She answered “I like it all” She took a bite of her food and looked around the room “This isn’t my usual bedroom here”
“Thor thought that you’d like a room fit for a teenager rather than one fit for a little girl” He answered.
“I love it” She told. Then they lapsed in to silence again and she wondered when or if they would ever feel comfortable with one another, because at that moment there could never be anything more uncomfortable than not being able to come up with something to say to your own father “Daddy...” He looked at her “What happened last night?”
“I have decided that some time apart from your mother would do all of us some good” Loki told her.
“But why take me?” Lidia pressed “Why not take Levi or Gabby?”
“I think you’re old enough to know that your mother tends to treat you differently from your brother and sister” Loki told her honestly “I was worried that she would treat you terribly if I left you there, do you want to go back?”
“No!” She said quickly “No, I want to be here with you and with Uncle Thor and aunt Sif but...” She blushed.
“Kale” He finished for her “You want to see Kale on your vacation”
“Well...yes” She answered him “I would like to see him but if you don’t want me to...”
“No” He said with a forced smile “I will send a message to Luna and see if he can’t come up before Christmas and then we will go there for New Year’s so you can see the fireworks”
“Thank you” Lidia smiled and threw her arms around his neck giving him a big hug “You’re the best”

Hermione woke up and looked around her empty bedroom then burst in to tears. Loki left her last night and took one of her kids, she laid back down and thought about everything that had happened. He took Lidia. She loved Lidia, she really did but for some reason she was finding it hard to be in the same room with her. Lidia was so smart, she was popular, everyone loved her...Loki even loved her more...she knew what it was just then. She was jealous of her daughter but it was more than that, she wanted...no needed Lidia to do well, she never had the chance to but she sure as all hell wouldn’t let her daughter make the same mistakes she did. It was all Loki’s fault that she never got to go back to college that she was now some stupid house-wife, the house-wife that she never wanted to be.
“Mommy” Levi called from the doorway “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, baby” She answered “Mommy’s getting up”
She wanted nothing more than to lie in bed all day and cry and think about how her life had gone terribly wrong. However, that was not how she should do because she had two children to take care of and their needs came before her own selfish ones. She chased his son down the stairs and made both of them breakfast and herself a cup of extremely strong tea. Once they were fed and Levi was off playing with some of the neighborhood kids Hermione and Luna sat down to talk.
“How’d you know I needed you?” Hermione asked.
“Because Loki told me what happened” She answered “When did you talk to him?” Hermione asked “How is he?”
“He’s okay” Luna said “Still upset but he got in touch with me this morning to see if Kale could come visit them in a day or so”
“Why?” Hermione asked, confused.
“Lidia didn’t tell you?” Luna asked “Kale asked her to be his girlfriend”
“And Loki is okay with this?” Hermione asked “I’d be worried, he may try to get him up there so he kill him in an extremely inventive way”
“I hope not” Luna said “Loki said that he promised Lidia that she would be able to spend time with Kale”
“Okay” Hermione said thinking about the fact that her daughter was now dating, which was something she had begged for her not to do.
“I know you are not particularly happy about this” Luna said “But their growing up and dating is a part of that growing up, you should remember that”
“I do” Hermione said “That’s what I am worried about”
“You have done nothing wrong, Hermione” Luna said “You are an amazing mother and you may have been pretty young when you have Lidia but you weren’t in school or college. You had a job and someone that you were in love with, I know that you think the pregnancy messed everything up but it didn’t”
“What do you mean?” Hermione asked, picking Gabby up off the couch and carrying her to her bedroom and putting her in her crib.
“You are never going to age” Luna reminded her “Never going to die...and you’re worried about not going to college the first time ‘round?”
“What are you getting at?” Hermione asked looking curious.
“You have all the time in the world” Luna told her “Study...study and study some more!”
“Your right” Hermione said “I...I can still go to college and study...just a little later in life. Luna, you’re a genius!”
“I am rather brilliant, aren’t I?” Luna asked with a grin.

Loki stood at the window in Frigga’s bedroom watching Kale and Lidia walk along the beach holding hands. She was pointing things out to him and he was making her laugh, Loki should be happy to be able to still see them but he was unable to see all four hands and that bothered him a little. He looked and looked but there was one hand that was missing and dear god if that hand was anywhere other than in a respectable place then it would be missing completely. Thor walked over to his brother at the window and watched the scene outside for a minute of two before looking at Loki with a grin. His brothers blue-green eyes were searching for something and Thor knew exactly what it was he grinned at the overprotectiveness Loki was displaying.
“Oh look” Thor said jabbing his finger against the glass “His hand is slipping up the front of her shirt, can you believe that?!”
“Where?!” Loki growled “I’ll kill that little bastard!”
“Your protective streak is almost as intense as your anger” Thor laughed “Don’t worry the hand you can’t see is on the middle of her back guiding her along and making sure that she doesn’t fall”
“Better be” Loki growled “I really don’t like this whole dating thing”
“Not all guys are horny at the age of thirteen” Thor pointed out “I was more interested in beating people up...and hey, we all thought you were gay until you met Hermione!”
“What does that have to do with anything?” Loki asked.
“Well one thing” Thor pointed out “You were far too interested in books and learning to be chasing after young girls when you were thirteen” Loki nodded “And two, I just wanted you to know that we all thought you were gay”
“Really?” Loki snapped at him.
“Oh yeah” Thor nodded “Mum was alright with it, she said as long as you were happy and all that but dad...”
“Not that you dick!” Loki hissed making his brother laugh “Really you don’t think he wants to...have sex with Lidia?”
“At thirteen?” Thor asked in surprise “Nah. I mean you can’t expect them to never want to have sex but now I think the worse that may happen is they may kiss”
“I don’t want them to kiss” Loki sighed.
“She can’t remain your little girl forever” Thor said confidently “You’ll have to let her go at some point, maybe not now but sooner or later she is going to have to go to college then she’ll meet the man of her dreams and get married have children” He looked sad himself for second but grinned “Never mind, great idea. Let’s lock her in the dungeons”
“For once we are in total agreement” Loki told him.
Thor left him to his thoughts and Loki watched as the two talked, walked and laughed some more. He felt that his brother was probably right in his assessment about the situation. At thirteen they were still just learning about themselves and their bodies, all the books he had been reading told him this much. But still he didn’t want to think about the likelihood that at some point in her life she was going to have sex. In his mind it was never going to happen, he would prefer her to be a muggle nun and live in a convent than let a man touch her and know her so intimately. Kale and Lidia had stopped walking and were just looking out over the water, it was cold outside even in Asguard and they would have to come in soon. He watched as Kale reached out and pushed a lock of hair behind her ear then he leaned in and kissed her cheek. Loki felt his heart begin to ache and his stomach clenched as he watched this stolen moment of sweetness.
“Oh, please” Loki whispered to the glass and the children that couldn’t hear him “Not her, not my little girl”

A/N: I hope you like this and review I’m gonna begin the next chapter, they are just flowing out of me now and I can’t get it to stop. Thank god I’m on vacation from work! Next chapter is going to be the summer before sixth year for Lidia. Don’t worry I WILL catch up on other things.
