Lidia apperated to Malfoy manor the next morning, she was dressed nicely because she knew that Mr. Malfoy was a very regal man and she wanted to impress him. Squaring her shoulders she raised her gloved fist and knocked loudly on the large black door that had a golden ‘M’ on the front of it. She heard someone moving on the other side of the door and yet it took an entirely too long time to answer it, the whole time she ran through what she was going to say. She knew that she should have sent word with an owl before coming over because that would ensure they were here however she worried they would assume they knew what she was going to say and would leave. Then she would have spent her entire vacation chasing after Scorpius’s family as opposed to spending time with her own.
“Yes?” A nasally voice asked as the door opened and revealed a snotty looking man “Can I help you?”
“I am here to see Mr. and or Mrs. Malfoy” Lidia answered.
“Too bad” The man sneered “They do not want visitors” He slammed the door in her face. She knocked again even louder and harder than the first time and he opened it again glaring at her.
“I am sorry for the intrusion” Lidia said moving in to the door so he couldn’t close it “But I am not leaving until I see either Mr. or Mrs. Malfoy”
“Miss” He said “Just because that is what you’d like to do does not mean that is what is going to happen”
“Do you know who I am?” She asked and he swallowed nervously making her smile “I thought so. Now I’m not going to threaten to bring my father here to set you straight because that’s a waste of my time, just let me in”
“N-no” He stuttered, less sure of himself this time and she sighed raising her eyes to the sky for patience...but she got something else. Instead of the divine patience she had been hoping for there was a loud rumble of thunder followed by a zap of lightening and the man let out a whimper before moving aside.
Lidia stepped in to the large hall with cathedral ceilings and waited for the man to pass to show her the way to her destination. The manor was all long, lonely hallways, hardwood floors and old paintings so it made it almost impossible to see, even in her minds-eye, a child running through these halls having fun. The man led her to a sitting room and told her to stay there that he would get the Master or Mistress to come talk to her. Lidia looked around the overly clean sitting room, she thought that they had more children but you’d never know because there were no pictures around. She raised her eyes to the chandelier it was newer than the other lights in the house and it was beautiful. She placed her hand on the fireplace and gasped in fear as her eyes were assaulted by a vision of a different time.
She was standing to the side of the room watching as many people were crowded around a young man they had restrained tightly. She called out, asking what was happening but they couldn’t hear her or see her, she walked slowly through the crowd and looked at the people. The man’s face was badly swollen from what looked like a stinging hex. The other people in the room, she recognized them, it was Ron Weasley and...her mother ! She looked at the woman that was talking without making a sound, she was obviously insane you could tell from her movements. Lidia screamed when her mother was dragged forward and the boys were pulled away. She watched her mother be tortured right down to the scar that had always been on her arm “‘Mudblood” it read. The woman carved it in to her arm while she screamed and no one helped her, the blond man...the one that looked like Scorpius just stood there and watched looking sick.
“Miss?” She heard and suddenly her vision cleared and she was looking at the blond man again only he was older. Where her mother still looked in her twenties (thanks to being a goddess) this man was older, he was definitely handsome and more distinguished but he was older looking.
“Yes?” She asked.
“I am Draco Malfoy” He greeted “My wife is out for the day” He gestured her out of the room “Since you wanted to talk to me so badly you have to come to the sunroom, that is where I am right now”
“Okay” She answered. She followed the tall, elegant man through the house and in to the sun room where there was another less healthy looking man sitting in front of a window. Draco stopped in the doorway and reached in to a crystal bowl that held the strangest thing, a bowl of hair-ties.
“Miss...” He led off “Granger, right?”
“Yes” She answered.
“I’m going to need you to put your hair up please” He handed her a hair-tie “Make sure it’s all pulled back”
“Okay” She answered confused by his request as she followed through with it.
“My father” He motioned to the man in the chair that was watching something outside the window “He is...afraid of women with long, black, curly hair because of my aunt, she tortured him something horrible in the war and she was responsible for my mothers death”
“I’m so sorry” Lidia said “That’s terrible”
“Come” He motioned for her to follow him in to the room to sit down near the man that was still staring off in to space without acknowledging their presence.
“Mr. Malfoy” Lidia said “I needed to talk to you about Scorpius”
“What about him?” Draco sighed, he didn’t sound angry merely annoyed.
“Sir” She got his attention “What happened at Graduation...that was my fault, he was picking at me and being a git and I...I burned his clothes off without his knowledge”
“You know” Draco smirked “A part of me want’s to call your bluff...but the part that knew your mother knows that you are not lying” He held some food to his father’s mouth and waited “Please father, you haven’t eaten in three days”
“Is he catatonic?” Lidia asked.
“No” Draco said “Just stubborn, when he gets sick of sitting here he’ll stand and walk around the house or outside but he’s trying to starve himself again”
“Move aside” Lidia said taking Draco’s spot. She reached down and picked up a piece of the muffin that was on the tray next to them. She looked at the man who was now staring at her because she had moved in to his line of sight, and she started in to his eyes with her own blue-green stare “Come on Mr. Malfoy” She held the food to his mouth and he raised an eyebrow which surprised Draco because normally Lucius didn’t respond to anyone anymore. She leaned forward and whispered in to Lucius’s ear and when she leaned back he grudgingly started to allow her to feed him.
“You got him to eat” Draco said “You must be a miracle worker” He walked around the room “Tell Scorpius to come home for dinner tonight and we’ll see where it goes from there”
“Thank you, Mr. Malfoy” Lidia said, she looked back at Lucius and gently touched his cheek “Have a good day, continue to eat please, remember what I said”
“What did you say?” Draco asked when they got to the door “What calmed my father enough for him to eat?”
“Your son has done two things in the one term at college” Lidia said “He was going to announce it over dinner on Christmas Eve but I knew before everyone”
“How’d you know?” Draco asked.
“You’ll find that it is very difficult to keep secrets from me” Lidia warned him.
“What are these secrets?” Draco asked, worried.
“Scorpius has gotten married” Lidia told him “It was too soon really, they’ve only known each other since September but they are perfect for one another and she’s pregnant”
“And that made my father happy?!” Draco wasn’t even sure if he was happy about this.
“He is alive to see his great-grandchild” Lidia told him “Of course he is”
“What’s her name...nationality...blood status?” Draco asked, he had been at the ministry when the Russian girl came through and he knew that would never work out.
“A Muggle-born American named Lanni Farren...Malfoy now” Lidia answered with a grin “Goodbye, Mr. Malfoy”

“Your father wants you to come to dinner” Lidia told Scorpius as she met him and the others outside “I told him about you and Lanni”
“Are you joking?!” He snapped taking some deep breaths.
“Calm your nerves” She said “And get ready for dinner tonight, I suggest telling Lanni”
“Do you think they made a mistake getting married because she got pregnant?” Remus asked as he came up behind her.
“Yes” Lidia answered “But they really are in love and she calms him down, I think that they will be good for one another”
“I don’t think he wants to be married” Remus said.
“Then he should have kept it in his pants” Lidia answered “Or at least used some form of protection” She thought for a second “I honestly would have thought that Natasha would have been the first to get pregnant”
“Me too” Remus agreed picking her up and tossing her in to a snowbank.
“Where is Natasha?” Lidia asked laughing and pulling Remus down with her “I haven’t seen her yet”
“She is ice skating” Remus answered pulling himself and then her out of the snow “With your friend Severus. He came over to see you this morning and she introduced herself told him that he looked edible and he told her that she was absolutely beautiful and she blushed and stuttered tripping over her own feet and then they went outside to skate, holding hands”
“That’s sweet” Lidia grinned “Let’s go embarrass them!”
“Sounds good” He said taking her hand as they started to cross the yard.
“Lidia” Loki called from the kitchen “Remus, we need to talk”
“Famous last words” Remus muttered as they changed their course back to the house.
“Come” Hermione said “Sit” They did as she said and waited for what they were sure would be an interesting conversation.
“I know” Loki started “That you all think I sent Remus to America for selfish reasons and you are partly right, Hermione, Lidia you have always elevated Remus to impossible heights” He looked at them “Heights that no normal man could ever possibly get to and the thought that I could get rid of him even momentarily and become the only man in both your worlds was too good to pass by” He looked at Lidia “You know that you are his true mate by now, right?”
“Yes” She answered and Remus looked at her in shock “I read about it and I know what it means along with what it all requires and entails”
“Then you know that you were his true mate even when you were a child” He assumed and she nodded “I wanted you to have a normal childhood, I didn’t want him hovering over you and deterring you from having a normal school experience” She opened her mouth but he shook his head “I did it for him as well. Remus didn’t know at the time that you were his mate and over the years he would have been feelings things that would be uncomfortable”
“Not knowing if she was okay was uncomfortable” Remus growled at him and Loki frowned at the interruption.
“What would you have done the first time you got aroused by her?” Loki asked.
“I’d deal with it like I do now” Remus answered.
“What if she was fifteen?” Loki asked “I didn’t make this decision lightly. I studied your world, the magic and Lycanthropy and how it reacts with a Mate, the wolf does not see ‘oh she’s eighteen, it’s okay to get aroused’ no, that’s not how it works...it senses that she has started her period and that she is now a woman, one that could carry a baby” He took a deep breath “You would become aroused by just about anything she did and I lied, Lidia became a woman when she was twelve...now what do you think, Lupin?” He glared “I bet you would have felt like a pervert because you wouldn’t know until the right moment that she was your Mate. Which to those who don’t know, doesn’t happen until she is willing and ready to see her possible future with you”
“I...” Remus looked like he wanted to thank him but couldn’t make the words come out.
“I don’t want you to hate me” Loki said “And I don’t expect you to thank me but...understand me, please” He looked at them each, Hermione, Lidia and then Remus before he stood and walked out of the kitchen.

A/N: So I know that the whole Scorpius/Lanni thing is a surprise but that was why I wrote her in to the story, I’ve wanted those two together since I thought her up. She will be the Luna Lovegood to his Ronald Weasley, he’s cocky and whiny and expects everyone to do everything for him and she is the exact opposite which makes them work. The baby is why they got married so they are going to be a little iffy about each other for a while but they DO love each other. The baby is also a result of a one night stand. Next chapter will show Natasha/Severus, Scorpius/Lanni and some more!! PLEASE REVIEW!!!!
