“You’re kidding, right?”
Hermione cradled Corvus Ursinus Malfoy in her arms, jiggling the heavy infant to settle him until she could feed him in private. Healer Armstrong devoted more than the required attention to the equipment on the counter of the examination room and away from his irate patient.
“No, Ms. Granger. Happy anniversary, by the way. Draco mentioned you’d be celebrating when he came in for his annual checkup about six weeks ago.”
Hermione fumed silently for many more minutes before a decisive expression replaced her deer-in-the-headlights expression.
“Can you come to the Manor at 7:00 this evening?” the determined Gryffindor asked.“Are you anticipating more discomfort?”
“Not for me…”
