Chapter Seven
Sparks flew in every direction and I was lit up like a Christmas tree. Not really, but it did feel that way as we snogged each other silly. It wasn’t at all like it was with Ron, where our bodies never moved from the dip in the mattress. We started there and we finished there, well he did at least, I never did finish if you get my drift. It was a worry I had too, and it had crept its way into my thoughts as I kissed my husband for what felt like the first time.
“What’s wrong?” he asked and he rolled off of me and propped himself up on his elbow.
“Nothing, absolutely nothing,” I lied. He dropped kisses down my neck as he rolled my pebbled nipple in his expert fingers.
“Something is, I can tell,” he said and he stopped again and looked at me.
“It’s nothing, really.”
“Oh it’s something, Sweetness. Tell me,” he said and I bit my lip.
“Something else happened to me, you know, from my accident,” I said with great reluctance.
“Oh? Am I hurting you?” he said and I could see the worry lines on his face.
“No, not at all! Nothing like that. It’s just, I haven’t been able to reach certain heights, you know, since the accident,” I said hoping to hell that was enough of an answer for my inquisitive husband and Healer.
“You’re afraid of heights? Hmm, well there is a reason for that but we can work on that later,” he said and I scrunched my nose. “That’s not what you meant, is it?” the blond replied, picking up on my signals.
“No, it’s not. I’ve always been fearful of heights though, but it’s not that. That’s why I never liked to fly.”
“You got over that fear of flying love, years ago,” Draco smiled.
“I did? I fly on a broom?”
“With me you do. Tell me what you meant though?”
“Wow I really am missing tons of my memory still. I sort of hoped I was nearly up to speed with all that was lost.”
“Babe, the hardest part is over and you did it. You should be ecstatic. Everything is going to be good. Now please tell me what’s going on with you? I can feel it you know.”
“I can’t climax. Not anymore. Not since the accident,” I blurted and Draco looked at me with concern and a great deal of compassion.
“That’s not true, but it worries me that you think that way.”
“Ron told me that I can’t, so it’s not just me cooking up some crazy idea in my brain damaged head I’ll have you know,” I defended.
“Babe, I thought no such thing. Ron is an idiot, why won’t you believe me? Last time I checked Weasley wasn’t a Healer. I am though and I say nothing whatsoever is wrong with you, not in that capacity love.”
“But it is, I promise. I can’t get off no matter how hard I try, and I did try and Ron tried and I don’t want to hurt you. I love you and I want to please you but I need you to know this going in, so you don’t feel like less of a man,” I said a mouthful and I felt like a basket case again as tears threatened to spill out.
“Baby everything is fine, please stop worrying. Look, I want you to trust me. Nothing is wrong with you and I’m going to prove it to you. Look in my eyes, and don’t look away,” he ordered and I reluctantly turned my head to face him.
“Your memory leaves off just after I proposed, yeah?” he asked and I nodded. I felt ashamed and I tried to look away but he turned my chin to face him again. “Don’t look away Hermione. Keep looking into my eyes.”
It was December twenty-third, two days before Christmas when we were married. Snively thought it funny to schedule our last lab before the winter break on Christmas Eve, so we had one night to consummate our marriage before we had to be back at school.
“Are you with me still?” he asked and I shivered when I felt his hand slide down my tummy where it rested between my legs. I parted my legs for him, if only a little. “Look at me if you want me to go on,” he said and I stared into swirling pools of molten silver.
He wasn’t all bad, Snively that is, which we would come to know when he handed us a key along with the map to his summer cabin. The way he made it sound, it was a rustic cabin at best. With nowhere else to go but our tiny dorm room, we opted to hike to this cabin where we would spend our wedding night.
“Merlin, he lied to us!” Hermione said as they trudged down the narrow path that was covered with pine needles and white powder from the falling snow. “There were no rules about conduct, lewd or otherwise. I read that application with a fine tooth comb! He lied. Why do you suppose he did that?” she asked.
“Yeah, I know,” Draco replied.
“You knew? Then how come you still proposed? Why didn’t you call him out?”
“Because,” the blond smirked.
“Well you’ll have to do better than that,” she said and she reached down and with her gloved hands she packed a snowball.
“Because I saw his ring,” he said and I was confused.
“What about his ring?”
“He’s a MatchMaker. He was wearing the ring, so when he recommended we marry I knew he was making a match. Everyone knows that Matchmakers are rare and that they’re never wrong. I already loved you, so I decided to take the plunge and ask you to marry me. It’s all logical Hermione,” he chuckled.
“All of that went through your head, when was this, whilst I was being totally humiliated and told that I needed a man to do my thinking for me?”
“Mhmm, exactly. But you do need me for that,” he kidded.
“Don’t do it Granger, you’ll regret it. Hmm, I might have to start calling you Malfoy,” he said and then a snowball hit him square in the cheek. “Right, I warned you,” he said as a chase ensued.
“No, stop it Malfoy,” she laughed as she pushed snow covered tree branches out of her way. The cold air filled her lungs as she ran through the woods.
“I got you now,” the blond said and he tackled her, their bodies falling into the freshly fallen snow that blanketed their fall.
“What are you going to do, husband,” she beamed. His nose was only inches from hers as he lay atop his new bride.
“This,” he said, and he slid his hand inside her parka where he pinched her nipple. Her surprised howl was cut off though when he captured her mouth. “And this,” he said as their tongues met in a duel of fiery kisses. He moved a stray curl from her face and just stared into her eyes. “I’m going to defile you in so many naughty ways when we get to the cabin,” he promised. Hermione blushed and then she was being heaved to her feet.
The cabin was not a rustic hole in the wall, dive. It instead looked like something you’d find at a posh ski resort, which was exactly where it was. “This is not what I was expecting,” Hermione said as she removed her hat and gloves and hung up her parka.
“Bloody hell, me either,” Draco said as he climbed the flight of stairs and then stood, shell-shocked, when he saw the magnificent view.
“Right here, this is the place,” Hermione said.
“Oh yeah, this is definitely the place,” he said and he took his bride in his arms and kissed her. You could see for hundreds of breathtakingly beautiful kilometers. The mountains sprawled before them in awe inspiring splendor. “Are you nervous?” he asked as he paced across the room and picked up the bearskin rug, moving it to the place where they would consummate their marriage.
“A little,” she said as she reached forward and with her petite hands began to unbutton his shirt. His eyes never left hers as he removed each piece of her clothing.
I was mesmerized by his voice and I held him in my eyes as he told the story of our wedding night. I was only vaguely aware of my own rapid breathing as he brought me closer to orgasm. I parted my legs and moaned when I felt him insert a second digit into my cave. “I remember thinking that I’d married a Goddess. The way your breasts spilled out and the way they felt against me,” he said in a voice that was warmer than a glass of butterbeer. His fingers penetrated me over and over again and then I felt his thumb over my bud and that’s when the first climax took me. “You were so wet for me and when I took you for the first time I swear I saw heaven. It was really something babydoll,” Draco said and my eyes fluttered open and then closed. I tried in earnest to hold his gaze but my head was in the clouds as wave after wave of blissful sensations rocketed me into the stratosphere. “Yes, come for me. Your body is singing to me,” he whispered as my primal moans filled the bedroom.
“Oh God, Draco…” I moaned out, “Make love to me. Please!” He parted my legs with his knees and I cried out when I felt the impaling force of his cock.
“Oh yeah,” he groaned as he pushed inside me deeper and deeper still. “You’re so hot and wet for me,” he purred as he began to rotate his hips in a circular motion. In and out, round and round until I was climbing the walls with desire. The second wave of bliss hit me hard and fast and I clutched onto my husband for dear life as I rode it out. “One more baby and then I’m going to come,” he said in a deep, husky voice that was oozing sex. He was pounding me into the sheets, fucking me oh so hard and then his tongue was making love to my mouth. Our sweaty bodies writhed together in ecstasy, my breasts pancaked to his chest as we moved together as one. The last climax came by surprise and I gripped him hard, so hard I worried that I may have scratched him. “You’re so bloody hot,” he said and then his rock hard cock pushed into me with the force of a hammer as he nailed me good and hard. I exploded and my moans were loud enough to wake the dead. He collapsed on the bed next to me.
“That was amazing,” I said through ragged breaths. “That was nothing like sex with Ron was,” I said stupidly. I wished I could take it back the moment I said it, but I couldn’t and I saw the pain on Draco’s face when I said it. He tried to tell me that it was alright, that it was in the past, but I knew better. If only I’d never cheated on him.
“Did I lose you already? I thought that would sate you at least until tomorrow,” he said and I turned to him and smiled.
“Oh you sated me just fine. Probably for a year that was so perfect.”
“Hmm, right, so you don’t want to make love again until next year? Reckon I better go back to my hand,” he chuckled.
“Oh no, sex with you is like candy, and one can never have enough,” I said and I caressed his cheek. He was tired and I laid there for what felt like hours just watching my husband sleep. It was something I’d missed out on for far too long. I truly loved him and yet I didn’t feel at all like I deserved him. That brought on a certain sadness that I wished wasn’t there. Why did I cheat on him? Shouldn’t my body have known that I was sleeping with the wrong guy, even if my head was messed up? It bugged me and I couldn’t shake the feeling.

“I need to tell you something about Edmond,” Draco said in the morning after I’d made both he and Edmond a breakfast fit for kings. My kings! Edmond was busy playing in a makeshift tent on the living room floor, made out of old afghans, as Draco and I sat around the kitchen table reading the paper and having our tea.
“I see,” I said deep in thought when he relayed the details about the pot roast dinner and how he came to find out that our son was turning into either a bat or a vampire. The latter seemed more likely. I was glad that it was Draco and not me who found him sleeping upside down in the tree. That would have assuredly set off a panic attack. “And you found nothing in my books I take it?” I asked.
“Not really, no. Basic vampire anatomy, killing techniques, but not much on the change. My father is the one to ask, I’m just loathe to do it. He and I do not see eye to eye on virtually everything these days,” Draco confided and I frowned.
“I could do some research. Luna babysits for me sometimes and I think spending time with Edmond helps her, you know, since she and Harry aren’t having much luck at having a family of their own. I think I’ll owl her and see if she can watch him today. I can swing by the Ministry library.”
“Sounds good. How do you feel about having your wand back?” Draco asked and my face lit up like a roman candle.
“I think I’m ready. Thank you for believing in me,” I said and he nodded.
“Stop by my office today and I’ll give it to you babe. I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t have your wand. I may have some work for you too, if that is alright?”
“Gosh, yes! Anything, I’d even scrub toilets I’m so bored sitting here,” I laughed.
“I won’t have my wife scrubbing toilets,” the blond said and I was reminded of his posh upbringing. “I’ve been spending so much time here that I’m a little behind in filling my patients’ prescriptions. I could use some help, oh say from a certain Potion Mistress,” he said and he smirked.
“Me? You want me to make potions?” I was flabbergasted.
“You’re certified.”
“Yeah, but, I don’t have a lab.”
“Let me take care of that.”
“Draco, I don’t even know if I retained all that I learned.”
“Let’s find out, shall we?” he offered and I felt a minor sense of doom.
“Uhh, sure.”
“Good, meet me at my office today and we will head to the lab together. Now I need to get to work. Janet came back from France and she owled me this morning about something pressing at work.” He waved the parchment in his hand and I nodded. With a heavy sigh and more than a bit of nerves, I began to scrawl a letter to Luna, requesting her babysitting services.

My research turned out to be a dead end. With the war going on between Wizard and Vampire, all of the pertinent reference material was already checked out of the Ministry library. I needed to get into the restricted section, but I didn’t have clearance for that. I reminded myself to ask Harry about gaining entrance into that particular section of the library. With that crossed off my to do list I set off from the Ministry to the Wizard Hospital.
The swanky Wizard’s hospital was in a new wing that was situated next door to St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. That’s when it suddenly occurred to me that my former Healer and Draco’s colleague, Janet Mungo bore a striking similarity to the name of the hospital. I bet she’s related somehow to the Mungo’s. The Mungo’s were a well to do family, with a long lineage. They were purebloods, but ones who managed somehow to stay out of the war without taking sides. I decided that I would ask Janet what her connection to the Mungo family was the next time I saw her. The Mungo’s not taking sides in the war was in direct contrast to Draco’s family who were caught up in the thick of it. I cringed when I thought of poor Draco, stuck with an awful father like Lucius. I just wanted to hug him the more I thought about how he must have felt spending so much time alone, while I was playing wife to Ron. I hated myself for that, but I tried to push the feeling away. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the sign that read, Sr. Healer Draco Malfoy this way, followed by an arrow pointing down the corridor. I would hug him and perhaps steal a kiss when I saw him. I had a pep in my step when I rounded the corner, but then I stopped dead in my tracks and hid myself from view, standing tight against the wall when I heard my husband’s voice.
“No, absolutely not, Janet,” he said and he sounded irritated. I leaned my ear forward to listen. It was wrong to spy such as I was but I couldn’t help it. Old habits die hard.
“So what then, I’m supposed to be happy about this?” Janet said and she sounded annoyed too.
“She was your patient, and her memory is coming back, so yes you bloody well should be happy,” Draco said and my eyes bulged when I heard them talking about someone who could only be me.
“Well, I’m not. I mean I am, for her sake, but what about us?” Janet said and I covered my mouth with my hand.
“There is no us Janet, unless you mean as Healers. That is the only us I will ever talk about with you.”
“You know that’s not true,” Janet said and I could have sworn I heard the faint sound of sniffles. Was she crying?
“I have to go. My wife will be here any time. Please drop this, alright?” he asked kindly.
“I can’t. I love you!” she proclaimed in a raised voice, and I felt a cold chill sweep through me.
“Shhh, someone will hear you. Look, I never made you any promises. I was upfront about my situation. I don’t owe you anything,” Draco said.
“Please, Draco. Let me come to your place tonight. We can talk about it.”
“There’s nothing to talk about Janet!”
“If you don’t meet me tonight I’ll tell her,” she threatened.
“You would do that? You’d be risking her life in doing so. She’s better but she is by no means one hundred percent healed. I won’t let you do that to my wife. You should be ashamed of yourself. This is bloody blackmail!” Draco whispered and I’d never heard him so angry.
“Tonight Draco.”
I stood there, stunned. I could not move or blink so I just stood there, trying to make sense of it all.
Review?
Little twist there, hope you aren’t mad at me for throwing a wrench into the mix. There’s a reason for it though. I didn’t just do it to be evil. Lol. Let me know! (The title of this chapter is the name of my next story! I only briefly mentioned it in this story, but that is because the plot bunny showed up and gave me an idea for my next fic..yay for bunnies bringing plots! lol) * To answer a reviewer question--I came up with the idea for a Potions Graduate school because I needed to get them away together and I wanted it to be in a school setting ;) In the past I've written about University, I think I was actually the first to do that, but that was in a story I wrote years ago called Broomsticks and Bondage. It turned into a five story series. Most of my stories were deleted off the net but that one and the others in the series do exist, and on this site somewhere under name JennyPenny (this is my second JP account).
