Now, the ending to Time Changes All Things...
Chapter 78-Epilogue: Peace at Last (Very AU so don't read if that bothers you!)
The Wizengamot meeting had lasted hours deep into the night. So many motions had needed to pass, and luckily with the help of the pureblood members, they had.
The knock at the door startled her as she was drifting asleep. "Madam Minister your guests have arrived."
Hermione looked up with blurry vision to see her guests bounding through the door.
"Mum! We're here to eat breakfast with you," six-year-old Sophia ran to Hermione leaping into her arms. "We missed you last night at supper. Father let us eat in The Great Hall with the students."
"Sophie quit mauling mum, can't you see she's tired?" eleven- year- old Thomas went and hugged his sister pulling her from Hermione's arms.
"I heard the little ones were able to eat with you and your father last night." Hermione said with a smile as she looked at her eldest child.
Thomas glared at his sibling, "Yes, and it was bloody embarrassing too."
"Language young man. Your siblings look up to you and love you very much."
"That doesn't mean I like to have them sitting by me and my friends." Thomas whined.
"Mum!" another child came running in to hug Hermione. "Thanks for letting us have breakfast with you. Father said you'd be exhausted, but we missed you terribly." Ten-year-old Edward who was the spitting image of his father smiled up at her.
"How could I not want to be with my beautiful children? But we are still missing some, where are they?"
Just as she finished asking, a tiny little person with long, brown curls, came skipping in and made a beeline for her mum. "Mum! Mum!" Three- year- old Emmaline had her arms around Hermione's neck.
"Oh, that's where she ran off to. One minute I was waiting outside of the loo for her and turned to speak to Lucius, and the next she was running down the hall without me."
Tom walked in heading over to Hermione to give her a long kiss that made all of the children groan seeing their parents showing such outward affection to each other. "I've missed you the past few nights my love. Were you successful in what you wanted to pass?"
"Yes and more. Things are still going as smoothly as we had always planned Tom." Hermione smiled up at her husband who was still extremely handsome, with his dark wavy hair now glittered with strands of silver.
"How are things up at Hogwarts Headmaster? I hear that you had guests attend supper with the students last night. Please tell me they behaved?"
Hermione saw Thomas fold his arms, groan and drop on the nearby sofa.
Tom looked over at his eldest child, giving him a stern look, "Yes, they did and they were perfectly behaved. Someone…" he looked back over to Thomas, "…was not happy that his siblings were so excited to eat supper with their big brother. The seventh years especially doted on our daughters."
"Well, I think that's lovely you let them, especially because I was tied up here with wizarding politics. You'll be glad to know that I even had Lord Potter on my side this time."
Tom cocked his eyebrow and smirked at the news, "Really? You really are quite magical aren't you if you were able to accomplish that."
Hermione's assistant knocked on the door again, "Your breakfast is ready." Several elves came in with two carts full of breakfast foods, setting it on the large table in Hermione's huge office. With her large family, she had expanded the office through the years to fit all of them when they came to visit.
Edward reached out to grab a croissant, when Tom cleared his throat, sending a stern look his way. "You will wait until we are all seated and then we will pass the food around in a manner befitting someone of your station."
Everyone held his or her breath as Tom confronted his second child, who not only looked like his father, but had his temperament too. Out of all of the children, Edward was the one who had challenged everything from the day he was born it seemed.
By the time he came along things were still in upheaval from the end of the war. Tom had still not recovered all of his memory and Hermione, along with Lucius, were leading the Death Eaters in taking charge of the ministry and the wizarding world. It hadn't been easy at first, but with the publication of, "Fool Me No More: The Life and Lies of Master Manipulator Albus Dumbledore," written of course by Hermione, it had been much easier to show the rest of their people how Dumbledore had been using all of them throughout the long war. Especially with Hermione's story in the book about how Dumbledore had tried to kill a pregnant woman and her unborn child. Then later, the wizard had put out a hit on said child. With Lord James Potter quoting in the book how Dumbledore had forced several of The Order members under an Unbreakable Vow to kill Thomas, people started seeing what had been hidden from them. More Order members had then come forward with stories of how they also had been lied to and manipulated into doing things for Dumbledore. It had been easy for Hermione and The Dark Lord's people to step forward and put themselves in a good light as the victims in the war.
The Sacred 28, the pureblooded families, were still very much in charge of the wizarding world, with the inclusion now of the Potter family, making it 29. It still made Hermione smile when she thought of the fact that she, a Muggleborn was the Minister for Magic, and her half-blooded husband was Hogwarts Headmaster. No one knew of Hermione's true blood status, and no one dare mentioned Tom's heritage. He was still considered a Lord, but no one called him a "Dark Lord" any more. It had all turned out nicely for them, different than originally planned by Tom if he hadn't lost his memory.
Lucius Malfoy had been on board with the placement of Tom and Hermione in their respective positions. He now was Advisor to the Minister for Magic, which he loved doing as he could still run many of his outside businesses.
In a surprise move that Tom approved of, Sirius Black was named as Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic. Once Hermione had told Tom of how he'd saved not only her but also Thomas, Sirius was given new status in their world. He'd also been the one to report at the end of the war of Bellatrix Lestrange's death. Sirius had happened to come along at just the right moment to witness her death, but alas he couldn't save his dear cousin. Hermione knew better about what had probably truly happened, but she'd never tell. If Sirius had been the one to kill her, no one cared, but they were all happy she was gone. Even her widowed husband had remarried a half- blood witch from Belgium, and now was happily married with three children of his own. He had been teaching "Learning About and Not Abusing the Dark Arts" for several years now at Hogwarts. The whole community felt it was better that all magical children knew about the Dark Arts so it would be "common place" and not something that some rebellious child would want to sneak away and learn about on their own.
Speaking of Hogwarts teachers, Lily Potter had been teaching Charms at Hogwarts since the end of the war. She, James and their children also lived at the castle, so their children had become fast friends. In fact, Thomas, Harry and Draco were all sorted into Slytherin and had become a trio of friends who were almost never apart. James had gone into a lucrative broom making business with Remus Lupin and Regulus Black. They now were the makers of the premiere brooms that all of the professional Quidditch players used.
Minerva McGonagall, at seeing how Albus had used her for his own nefarious purposes, stayed on as the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts. She seemed to be much happier these days too.
The most amusing part of this whole story was what Dumbledore did to Tom. By obliviating Tom at the end of the battle thinking he would still win in the end even if he were killed, the plan had backfired. It had taken over a year for many of Tom's missing memories to be restored, but his mind was still very blank about much of his life. Hermione and Lucius decided together what they would selectively tell Tom about what had been happening the past several years. Many hours Hermione and Lucius had twisted and turned what they both had wanted from this mysterious outcome of Tom losing his memories and what they wanted to have happen now in their world. The new creators of this world Hermione and Lucius, along with Minerva McGonagall, Arthur Weasley, Lily and James Potter, Regulus Black and Rodolphus Lestrange had made a truce between both sides, dark and light, and so far their world had found peace. Thank you Albus Dumbledore for doing one thing right.
"Mum, here have a bite," Emmaline leaned over to put a piece of her Belgium Waffle in Hermione's mouth.
"Oh that's yummy sweet Em, just like you." Hermione said.
"Mum, you're silly. I'm not a waffle." The little girl giggled as everyone else at the table laughed, even her older brother had a grin on his face.
"Well, guess what I decided I want to be when I graduate from Hogwarts," Edward said looking at his parents who were amused, considering he hadn't even started at the school yet. "I want to be a professional Quidditch player, then Lord Potter can name a broom after me."
"If you practice hard enough that's what you'll be." Tom said as he ran his hand over his youngest son's head.
"I've decided I want to be a curse breaker for Gringott's like Ron Weasley's oldest brother. I'll grow my hair out long and wear an earring and dragonhide boots." Hermione and Tom both looked at one another and she nodded her head no in warning not to say anything.
"I'm sure that Gringott's would be lucky to have you work there Thomas." Hermione said.
"What do you want to be my little Sophia?" Tom asked his eldest daughter.
Sophia shrugged her shoulders and was quiet for a minute, then she looked up, "I think I just want to be a mum and stay home and have lots of babies." Tom grinned at his daughter, while his wife tried holding her tongue. Inside she hoped more for her daughter, but realized not every witch was like her that had to be accomplishing many things in order to feel satisfied. Molly Weasley was one example of a woman who lived a rich life raising her brood of seven children.
"You will be a wonderful mum and have babies as beautiful as you are Sophia." Tom's eyes shined as he looked at his daughter with her curly black hair much like his.
"Guess what?" Emmaline got up with her arms thrown open wide and stood on her chair to get everyone's attention. "When I grow up I want to be Minister for Magic just like mum."
With Emmaline being Hermione's "mini-me" this brought a smile to Hermione's face. Her vivacious youngest child was smart, and so charming at a very young age. "Sweet Em, if that's what you want to be, there is no doubt in my mind that you shall be the minister."
Emmaline bowed to her family and they all laughed as Tom got up to hoist his daughter high in the air as she shrieked with happiness. "It's time for us to head back to Hogwarts. Even though it's a Saturday there is still work I must get done."
Tom started gathering his children around him. Stopping at his wife's side, he leaned down to give Hermione a kiss.
"Don't you ever get tired of doing that?" Thomas asked with disgust.
"No, never." Tom answered and kissed Hermione one more time.
Hermione's Eternal Flame tattoo warmed up on her hand, as she was infused with happiness, and feeling grateful for the amazing life she was living. Who knew that all of those years ago when she had slipped the Time-Turner around her neck, that she would be able to change time and Tom Riddle Jr.
Time truly did change all things, and for the better.

Wow! I CAN"T believe that this story is really at the end! It has been the longest story I've ever written and the one that I have grown with and stretched my wings as a writer. Thanks so much for all of you that have stayed with me through all of these years as life has handed me so many difficulties. I promised you I would finish this story and I did. I never doubted I would.
I hope that you are as satisfied with this ending as I am. Originally I was going to have Hermione be the one to Obliviate Tom, take him away and then live out their lives as Muggles without magic, but it just didn't feel right to me. I also didn't want a sad ending with one of them dying or Hermione ending up with someone else. She had decided to have babies with this man, and had faith in him, giving him her loyalty and love. If you didn't like it, so sorry, since it was my story to end and I quite liked it. In fact, I liked it better than the ending of Deathly Hallows. To this day I still hate that ending for some reason, but that was Jo's story to tell the way she saw fit.
If you've never left a review before, please leave me one now so I know how you liked the story. There is nothing more satisfying as a fanfic writer than to get reviews from their readers.
If you haven't checked out my other stories, please do.
Here are just a few…

If you have a story you really like that you think I should read, tell me about it when you leave your review. I not only love writing, but I love reading others fics too. Thanks again for coming on this ride with me!~~ssdawning
