Kindred Passion
CHAPTER 8:
Harry exploded, "Well then, who the hell is "Mala'? Muirinn's saying something about running into her, and seeing pictures of your wedding day, and all kinds of other junk." Sirius looked up, "Where did she see the bitch and the photos?" "Harry growled, "Apparently the bitch sent the photos while you were still in school, way back when. As for Mala, she saw her in the hall tonight. The bitch accused Muirinn of chasing "her' man."
As they sat there thinking, a sultry voice spoke behind them, "Excuse me, I'm looking for"" the three men turned, to see Mala Daniels standing there. Her eyes lighting up, she made her way toward Sirius, "Darling. Why haven't you come home yet?" Remus bade Sirius to shush as Harry faced the black haired woman. "Who are you?" She smiled craftily, "I'm Mala Black, Sirius' wife." Harry sneered, "Oh, really. And just when did my "Dad' marry you?" The bitch paled, "Your Dad?" He snarled, "Yeah, and you certainly aren't my mom." Remus spoke, "Mala, you're playing a dangerous game. Do you really want to take on Airmed's Children, the Vampyres and the Werewolves? Because to get to Sirius, that's exactly what you're going to have to do." Harry spoke again, "Excuse me Remus, but she STILL hasn't answered my question. When did you marry my Dad?" She stammered, "Thirteen years ago." Harry shot her an evil grin, "You lying bitch. Next time Lucius Malfoy sends you, he'd better give you the right information. Oh, and just to let you know, Muirinn Shaheen isn't a silly little girl any more. Remus, should we let Sibeal at her with a sword." Remus grinned, "There wouldn't be anything left of her. Sibeal damn near took Malfoy's head the last time."
Mala looked at Sirius, who had said nothing. "I'll be here for a while. If you want to continue our marriage." Sirius turned his back on her, and she left.
"Harry," Sirius said quietly, "I promise you on the memory of James and Lily's love, that I never married that woman." Remus looked thoughtful, "You know, there's something strange about all of this. I wonder if she's the reasoin sin stopped writing to you in the first place. But to find out, we're going to need some serious help. Let's go." As they headed down the hall, Sirius asked, "And just who are you going to ask, Remus?" The Werewolf chuckled, "Someone that black haired bitch has never met, and can give her a run for her money"Seanna! Let's see if we can talk to her."
A short time later, Remus tapped on the door to the flat. Tariq, looking rather sleepy, answered. "Sorry to disturb you my friend, but we need Seanna's help with something for Sibeal," Remus told him. Tariq nodded, "Ok, come on in and I'll get her." Going to the bedroom he nudged his Lady, "Seanna, Remus, Sirius and Harry are here. Theyd tod to see you. Something about Sibeal needing something." Yawning Seanna replied, "Ok, Habib. Tell them I'll be right out." Returning to the sitting room, he said, "She'll be right here."
Seanna came out, dressed in a deep blue robe, and running her fingers through her hair. "Man, what a way to wake up," She grinned. "Four gorgeous guys at my fingertips," She chuckled warmly. "Ok, what's going on now. And getting me out of bed, I'd better get a chance to stick long, sharp needles in somebody." Sirius finally began to laugh. There was just something so outrageous about Seanna's point of view.
"Seanna, we have a big problem, and its hurting Sibeal," Remus said. "It started during the summer before our 7th year here. James, Lily, Sirius and I went on a hiking trip to Ireland. While we were there we met Muirinn and Mairead Shaheen. Sirius fell hard for Muirinn. When we came back to school, they were writing each other daily. Toward the end of the year, her letters stopped coming, but no one knew why." Sirius continued, "It now seems that somehow she got the idea that I had married. Apparently this woman did some things that made Erin believe her, such as some pictures of this woman and I at a wedding, with her in a wedding dress."
Harry spoke next, "We've just had a run-in with the woman, she seems delusional. Tried to convince me that she had married Sirius 13 years ago. I know damn well that he was in Azkaban at the time. I also picked a little information out of her mind. It seems thuciuucius Malfoy sent her here to chase Muirinn away from the school. Telling her is not going to work, after the bitch accused her of chasing "her' man." Sirius looked into Seanna's deep green eyes, thinking how much like Muirinn's they were, "I swear on all that I hold dear Seanna, that I never married that damned Mala Daniels." Remus then asked, "Can you help us prove that this is a set-up designed to lure Sibeal away from Hogwarts." "Please Seanna," Harry pleaded. "You know how much I want Muirinn and Sirius together. Please help me unite my family."
Tariq placed his arm about the young man, "Remember the promises we made to you, Harry? Well, I think this falls under at least one of them. Why don't you three sit back and let's plan this out." Seanna asked Remus, "What made you think of me?" The werewolf grinned, "You're the one human at Hogwarts, that the bitch doesn't know. I figured it would give you the advantage."
She thought for a moment, "How far do you and Sirius trust me?" In unison the pair replied, "Completely." Sirius asked, "Why, Seanna?" She answered, "I would like you to allow me into your memories of when you met Muirinn, and were in school. I promise that anything I learn will go no further than me. I need to know exactly how to get to this creature." Sirius nodded, "I can understand that. I agree." Tariq stood, "Remember our talks while we were traveling, you know as much about me. Let go my friend and let me help you into trance." He touched Sirius' hand, "Take a deep breath and let it out slowly, counting back from ten as you do. When you reach one you will be in a light trance, remembering the facts but not the pain."
"Sirius, It's Seanna. I will not harm you, please let me in.' After several long moments, he heard, "Thank you, my friend. That will help.' Seanna looked to Tariq, "Ok, you can bring him back out." As Sirius returned to himself, she asked, "Are you all right?" He blinked, "Is that all there is to it?" She smiled, "According to Achak, memory reading should never cause pain. Remus, are you ready?" He grinned, "For you, Lovely Lady, anything." Tariq growled at him, "Oh, cut that out Tariq, Seanna would skin me before you'd have the chance, wouldn't you?" She grinned back at Remus, "Yep. I'd use your hide for a pair of werewolf slippers!" Remus winced, "Ouch! Cut to the bone, why don't you?" Seanna just smiled. Tariq told him, "Ok Remus, quit flirting with my woman, or she won't have any problem skinning you." He bared his fangs. "Get the picture?" Nodding, he said, "Oh yeah. I get the picture. Just put me under would you?"
After Seanna had seen what Remus remembered, she said, "Here's an idea. What if I play a bored, snooty woman, whose love has been stolen by another woman? I'll invite her up for tea, just being sociable. While we're chatting I can let slip about the tramp that stole my man. Perhaps Albus will help us. Harry would you go ask him to join us?" Harry jumped up, "Right away, Seanna." He pelted out the door. Sirius chuckled, "I doubt if even Voldemort could catch him right now." She laughed, "Probably not. Now if I could ask you a favor. Would you create another bedroom and bath, please?" Tariq stared at her, "Seanna, there's only two of us. Why do we need more room?" She patted his cheek, "Dear Tariq, I can hardly have Sirius AND Muirinn waiting in the same room while I confront this twit. Now can I?" Remus nudged Sirius, "Let's do it before Albus gets here and takes over all the fun." For a few minutes, the two whispered and laughed beside the far wall. Then Seanna saw a door appear. Returning to her, Sirius asked, "Would My Lady like to inspect the chamber?" Seanna rolled her eyes, "Oh, Brother. With you two around, Sibeal's in deep shit." She went to look at what the men had created. Coming back, she said, "Nice job, Gentlemen. I don't think Albus is going to change much."
"Very funny! Now what are you up to?" Albus went to the door and peered inside, "She's right, you do improve with practice." Taking a seat, he glanced at Seanna, "What did you need me for, my dear?" She spoke without hesitation, "You have a visitor at Hogwarts, who is determined to make Muirinn leave. May I ask your help in this?" He looked at Sirius, "Mala Daniels. Of course you can have my help. What do you want me to do?" Seanna smiled, "Can you let it be known that I'm your hostess for dinners and such? You know, formal things." He nodded, "That can be done. But why?" She grinned, "I'd like you to extend an invitation to her for tea with me. You see, Harry is aware that Lucius Malfoy sent her specifically to get Muirinn out of Hogwarts. She already has her believing that Sirius is married to her. We've got to get the truth out of the bitch in Muirinn's hearing."
Albus agreed, "You do realize that she's going to be dangerous." Seanna nodded, "yes, but I intend to have Tariq, Sirius, Remus and Harry standing in my room. And I'm going to get Mairead to have Muirinn in the other room. Want to join them?" Eyebrows raised, Albus sputtered, "Of course I'll be here. When?" Seanna thought carefully, "How about inviting her for 4:00, the rest of you can get here earlier." He nodded, "Good enough. Harry, I take it, you're going to talk to Dobby about the food and drink?" Harry grinned, "Who else?" Albus sighed, "Alright we meet here at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon. See you then." He left to set up his part of the plan. Remus bent over Seanna's hand, "And I, Lovely Lady, shall depart also, lest I become dinner for thy companion." Tariq grinned, showing his fangs. On his way out the door, Harry turned, "I'll have Mairead come see you, Seanna. Ok?" She nodded, "Thank you Harry."
After their visitors left, Seanna and Tariq returned to bed, snuggling until they fell asleep. The next morning, Mairead arrived, ostensibly to check on Seanna. When told what they wanted her to do and why, Mairead agreed, infuriated that someone would hurt her kin. Seanna spent the rest of the morning cuddling with Tariq. After which she bathed and did her hair. Looking through her closet, she asked, "Habib, should I look sexy, or impressive?" He grinned, "I like the way you look right now." She smiled at him, "I know, but I don't think bare skin would be appropriate."
A short time later, Seanna was ready. She had arranged to be reclining on the sofa, as if ailing. At 3:30, Remus, Sirius and Harry arrived. They spoke for a few moments of what they were about to try, then took their places in Seanna's bedroom. A few minutes later, Mairead and Muirinn arrived. Taking one look at Sibeal, Seanna went to her, "Sibeal, are you ok?" Mairead said, "She hasn't spoken a word or even acknowledged that anyone is around her." As she hugged Sibeal, Seanna asked Mairead to take her into the new bedroom, "Albus will be joining you in moments." When Albus arrived, Seanna led him to Muirinn, "Take care of here, please Albus." "You know I will, Seanna," He replied. "I've also done a little magic so that every word spoken will be heard clearly in the two bedrooms." Seanna smiled at him. "Thanks, Albus."
Returning to the sofa, Seanna took her place as a languid invalid. Soon there was a knock on the door, and Seanna called out, "Come in please." In walked a tall woman with black hair and a haughty appearance. Seanna spoke softly, "Good afternoon, I presume that you are Miss Daniels?" The woman eyed her disdainfully, "Yes, I am Mala Daniels. And you are"" Seanna raised one bored eyebrow, "I am Seanna Snape, Albus Dumbledore's hostess. Won't you please have a seat? I'm sorry that I couldn't rise to greet you, but I have been ill." Waving her hand toward the tea tray, Seanna continued, "Would you mind pouring. This illness has left me very weak, but I do try to attend to some of my duties, such as entertaining visitors."
"Mrs. Snape," Mala began. "Not Mrs,, it's Miss Snape. My brother is a professor here, but as I have nowhere else to go, I make my home here." Mala began again, "Miss Snape, do you entertain ALL of Professor Dumbledore's visitors?" Seanna replied, "Yes, it's the least I can do, as my brother will not allow me to live on my own." "But surely you could have a husband and family, Miss Snape." Seanna became angry, "Yes, I could, except that a stupid French teacher took of with the man I loved. I would dearly love to see her float away to sea so he'd come back to me." Seanna sighed, "Alas, that won't happen, so I am stuck here playing hostess to an old man."
Mala inquired quietly, "How did he meet her?" Seanna sputtered, "Some exchange program from a French School. The little tramp took off with my man. I wish I could get him back. I HATE having to rely on my brother." "Did you ever try to get him back," Mala asked. Seanna was in a fury, "How? I have no clue where to begin, and I only have minimal magic talent."
The woman said thoughtfully, "I might be able to help. Someone tried to do that to me once. The little tramp was after my man, so I made a love potion. It didn't work very well, but just long enough for me to get a few incriminating pictures of him and me together. There's even one of me in a wedding dress. I sure had fun doing that to her." Seanna appeared interested, "So you got him back and married him?" Mala snorted, "Not quite. Just as we were making plans, he disappeared. I just found him, and now we're going to get married, at last."
"OVER MY DEAD BODY, YOU LYING TRAMP!" Sirius stormed out of Seanna's bedroom. "You'd make my life more hell than Azkaban ever was. I will NEVER marry you. I love Muirinn Shaheen, and that's who I intend to marry." Seanna spoke over the noise, "Remus, bind her, but I want her to be able to speak. Albus," "Right here Seanna." "Did you bring what I asked?" He smiled, "Yes, my dear. Here is the Veritaserum." Seanna looked around. Mairead was having all she could do to hold onto Muirinn. "Albus, do what you must. Sirius, go to Sibeal."
