Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
A/N: Snape is sweet in this chapter but I tried hard
not to make him sappy sweet.
Disclaimer: I only own Jordan and Alexander... oh and the bathtub in
Snape's chamber (Hee), the rest belongs to JK Rowling, Warner Brothers and
anyone else that's making money off Harry Potter because if I was making money
off of it, I'd be in Hawaii right now, on the beach.
AJRoald: I really appreciate all the feedback you've been
giving me and for understanding my addiction to HP. And you've inspired me to put more Lupin in this story ^_^
Sparrow's Chick: Thanks for the continued
support.
Snape's Secret: Thanks for all the reviews and
for sticking with the story.
Chapter Eight
Dreams and Favors
His chamber was finally quiet as the last of the candles
slowly burnt down. He had spent the
last hour, conversing with Draco Malfoy about something Harry had done
earlier. Normally he didn't mind it
when Draco came to speak to him but he was distracted that evening. By what, he didn't know.
After grading a stack of essays, Snape went to his bed and
mused at its emptiness. Most nights
Jordan would be there teasing him, enlightening him and loving him. She hadn't made any sort of mention at the
meeting that she'd be joining him tonight so he decided to retire.
The moment his head hit the pillow he was asleep. His dreams were filled with her image and
her soft touch. She was laughing about
something that he didn't find amusing.
But with one look from her, his heart melted and he let a smile creep
across face.
"You need to lighten up a bit Severus," she
whispered.
"I am light," he whispered back.
"Are you sure?" she asked as she laughed again.
"You make me light."
Snape rolled over in his bed and groaned lightly as he
continue to dream of the woman who had captured his heart. They were outside somewhere and he watched
as she started to walk away from him.
"Promise you won't ever leave," he said as she
continued to walk away from him.
"Promise you'll always be here for me," she
replied as turned around to face him, "I need you more than you
know..."
And in a flash, she was gone. He tried to call out for her but it was no use. He felt empty as he stood and looked at the
spot where she'd been. Snape's eyes
fluttered open just as there was a loud bang at his chamber's door.
"That better not be you Draco," he growled as he
climbed out of his bed. He went over to
the door and pulled it open to find her standing there.
Snape narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. She was wet and her robes, hands and face
were splattered with mud. He could hear
her teeth chattering as he looked up and saw the blue tint on her lips. And he felt his jaw clench when he saw the
bruise on the side of her face.
Jordan looked up at him and stepped inside. She let her free arm wrap around his waist
as she pulled herself to him. Snape
wrapped his arms around her and he could feel how cold she was. He pulled her further into his chamber, not
daring to let her go, and wrapped a blanket around her shivering body.
"What happened?" asked Snape as she practically
collapsed on the end of his bed.
"C-c-cold," she choked out.
Snape nodded his head and stood. He went over to the large tub that adorned the corner of his
chamber. With a flick of his wand, it
slowly filled with warm, steaming water.
He went back to Jordan and gently pulled her up.

"I'm going to undress you," he softly said. He wasn't sure what had happened to her and
he didn't want to scare her.
Jordan nodded her head and did her best to help him. When hobe obe and clothes was discard, Snape
noticed another large bruise on her side.
He held out his fingers and softly brushed them across it. "Come on," he said as he picked
her up and placed her into the tub.
She gasped at the warmness at first but soon sunk down
into the water. Snape picked up a small
cloth from the side of the tub and lathered it with soap. He started with her hands and worked around
her body, washing away the dirt. He
then stood and pulled out a steel pitcher and filled it with water.
"Close your eyes," he said as he raised the
pitcher above her head. Jordan placed
her hands over her eyes as Snape poured the warm water over her head. He stepped back and picked up a small bottle
that held a shampoo that smelled like lilacs.
After squirting a bit in his hand, Snape slowly worked it through her
hair and he felt her relax under his touch.
"It was Alex," she murmured as he continued to
massage her scalp.
Jordan turned her head slightly and looked at him, her
eyes filling with tears. "He was
at my father's house with some Death Eaters.
They got the Death Eaters but Alex ran out so I followed him," she
whispered, "He said... he killed my father and he said he'd kill me too if
I didn't become a Death Eater again and gave me a week to decide."
"Did he do this to you?" asked Snape as he ran
his hand over the bruise on her face.
She simply nodded.
"I know I look weak but I don't want to because a
Death Eater again," she cried.
"You aren't weak," he said as he filled up
another pitcher of water, "Close your eyes." Jordan squeezed eyes shut as he slowly
worked the shampoo out of her hair.
"What am I going to do?" she asked as she opened
her eyes and looked at him.
"We'll figure it out," said Snape as he helped
her stand. He picked up his wand and
said a charm that took the pain out of her bruises before she stepped out of
the tub. She watched as he picked up
one of his robes and wrapped it around her before leading her to his bed.
"Do you need anything?" he asked as she sat in
the middle of the bed.
"No," said Jordan as he climbed onto the
bed. He took her into his arms as she
laid her head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat.
"You scared me," said Snape as he pulled her
closer. She looked up at him and
furrowed her brow.
"I scared you?" she asked.
"Yes. When I
opened the door and saw you there I felt my heart drop because I knew something
terrible had happened and I wasn't there to protect you," he admitted,
"I don't want to lose you."
Jordan looked up at him as a tear slipped down her cheek.
"No crying," he said as he smiled and wiped the
tear off her cheek, "Alex nor anyone else will ever take you from
me."
Jordan kept her eyes trained on him. She felt her stomach flutter at his words as
she buried her face in his robes. Her
action made him laugh and he shook his head.
"Jordan, look at me," he said as she pulled her head back,
"Maybe I should have said this sooner but... I've never said this to a woman
before... I love you."
Jordan gasped at his words. She wanted to jump up and do a dance because Severus Snape loved
her. But she didn't. Instead she whispered, "I love you
too."
He smiled down at her and kissed her on the forehead. "Tomorrow we are going to fix this Alex
problem, together," he promised.
"Alright," she mumbled as her eyes started to
shut.
"Go to sleep.
I'll be here when you wake," whispered Snape.
"Promise?"
"I promise," he said as she quietly slipped into
a dreamless sleep.

The bright morning sun was filtering through the house as
Remus slowly made his way down the stairs.
He was always the first one up every morning and he enjoyed the few
moments of silence before everyone else got up.
He walked through the hallway and pushed the kitchen door
open. Jordan was sitting at the table,
holding a mug of something between her hands.
"Good morning Remus," she quietly said.
Remus looked at her for a moment and sighed. "Good morning," he said as he
smiled at her, "I'm glad to see you came back. We were all worried about you."
"Sorry about that," she said as a blush rose to
her cheeks, "There's some coffee if you want some."
"So, where were you last night?" he casually
asked as he poured the coffee in a mug.
"I really don't think that's any of your business
Lupin," sneered Snape as he walked through the kitchen door. Remus looked at him and furrowed his brow as
Snape stood behind Jordan, almost like a guard dog.
"I was just wondering," he simply said before
sitting down across from them.
"Now that we've gotten the pleasantries out of
the way," said Snape as he looked at Remus, "I have a favor to ask of
you."
"A favor?" asked Remus as he raised his
eyebrows.
"Yes, a favor," said Snape, "And I really
think you owe me since I make the potion for your little problem."
"What's the favor Snape?" asked Remus.

and I believe you're the best man for the job," explained Snape.
"If you haven't forgotten," said Remus as he sat
back in his chair, "She's an auror.
There's not much I can teach her."
"I really don't want to resort to blackmail but if
you don't help her..." began Snape.
Jordan turned around and gave him a nasty look before
looking at Remus. "Look
Remus. I need help. Alexander wants me dead and I have to
protect myself. I know I'm an auror but
I really haven't fought anyone in a long time.
I heard how you helped Harry with the demeantors and I think you could
help me," she explained as Snape snorted.
"I'd be happy to help you," said Remus as he
gave her a small smile. Jordan smiled
back and stood from her chair.
"Thank you and I promise to be a good student,"
she said as she looked at Snape.
"Yes, thank you," he muttered, "Now that
we've gotten that figured out, I have to get back to school." And with that he was gone.
Jordan turned and looked at Remus, who was giving her a look. "Long story," she simply said,
t;I t;I might tell you someday but right now, I'm going to bed."
"Right," said Remus as he nodded his head,
"We'll start training tomorrow morning."
"Good," said Jordan as she nodded her head,
"Thanks again."
"No problem," said Remus as he smiled, "And
I'll try not to be too hard on you."
Jordan gave him one last smile before leaving the
kitchen. She quietly sighed to herself,
as a sense of safety surrounded her.
She was now determined to stop Alexa, no, no matter what the cost.
