Chapter 8 A pad for Nina @ the White�s are punished.

At dinner that evening there were quite a few students casually glancing up to the head table to see if Jane would appear. She had been missing from lunch along with the headmaster and their Potions Master. By now everyone knew about Snape dragging her back to the school in a sorry state this afternoon, and him being dressed in muggle attire. They did not know why. Curiosity was at it�s peak. Four student in particular were very interested as to the whereabouts of Jane. One was Malfoy and the other three were Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Up in the infirmary, Kali refused to leave Nina when Poppy returned. The nurse had returned to find her bathed and in a clean nightgown and in bed. She was awake. When Poppy spoke to her she did not reply. �Miss just lays there and not speaks.� Kali told her. �She is not saying one word to Kali. Sometimes she is nodding or shaking her head but that is all Madam Healer.�

Thank you Kali.� Poppy told him You may go back to your duties now. I shall not be leaving the ward this evening.�

Kali knew the nurse was sad, but she didn�t know if she was aware of what had happened to the Miss. Kali did. Elves have their own, powerful magic. When she was bathing the girl, Kali had learned everything about her through the elves special kind of �mind magic.� She knew that Nina was not a virgin when she had come to Hogwarts. She also knew that, since the episode with the Unicorns, that she was once again a virgin. She had also bound herself to Nina.

�Thank you madam but Kali is staying with Nina now. I is bound to her forever. I keep her secrets now and hold the �dark power� for her too. She is needing it when she is getting well.�

Poppy was taken aback. Especially at Kali�s last remark. �Kali, what do you mean you carry dark power?�

�Is not my power Madam. Is Nina�s.�

�Oh my goodness.� Poppy was worried now. She would have to let the headmaster know about this.

�Brandy Severus?�

�Yes please. A large one.�

Severus told Albus everything that he had seen when he had put his hand on Nina�s head. He also spoke of how he found her. �It is like she is under Imperious Albus. I think she would have done anything that man had wanted. In fact I believe that she was going to, and probably anyone else who approached her.�

Albus told Severus what had happened when he was left alone with the Whites. It seemed that the Whites were too afraid to try anything after seeing Nina and then Severus just vanish into thin air. Then when Albus had waved his hand and a cup of tea appeared in front of him, seemingly from nowhere, it had re-enforced their instinct to behave. The head master had used Legillimency on both of them to learn what he could about Nina�s life with them. Then, after finding out the address of Alfred Anderson, Aggie�s brother who had brought the girl to them in the first place, he had Obliviated them both.

�Neither of them even know that Nina, or Jane, even existed.�

That�s it. After all they did to her. You just Obliviated them.� The Potions Master was stunned into disbelief.

�No Severus. Though as much as I would have liked to have cursed them to the ends of the earth, you know that I could not. Severus harrumphed. �Do not get upset Severus. I have not left them unpunished. Neither of them shall ever think of children ever again. Nor shall Mr or Mrs White want to have any carnal thoughts whatsoever. Any feelings of desire that either of them may have, no matter how fleeting, no matter how innocent, the pain that they shall experience as a result of those feeling shall be excruciatingly intense and long lasting. Even if they are dreaming, it will have the same effect. The curse that I have placed on them is untraceable and non-reversible. Mr and Mrs White will not be able to even hear the sound of a child�s voice without invoking the curse. It will last for the duration of their lifetimes.�

It seemed the kindly old man was a lot darker than anyone could imagine.

�Anyway, as I was saying. It was not difficult to find Mr Anderson. He did not know that the child had been treated badly by his sister and her husband, and was most upset when he found out. From him I found out the address of where he had taken Nina during the attack on her parents. Alfred was also Obliviated. And no Severus, I did not punish him Although he did wrong by not handing the child over to the proper authorities, he did mean well and thought that he was helping his sister and the child. They never did keep in contact with each other. Hence he did not even know that she had run away.�

�Also Severus, I believe that Miss Manohel has a bond with you.�

Severus choked on his brandy.

�WHAT! Don�t be bloody daft.�

�Severus, her powers started to come into being as she reached the exact hour, minute and second of her seventeenth birthday. The minute she became of age was the moment she saw the castle. You were the first to have physical contact with her Severus. You were the first to give her magical knowledge. As a result, you are both connected somehow. Although I do not know to what extent. That is why you were able to find her today.�

Before Severus had a chance to respond, Poppy came bustling through the Floo.

�Albus, Severus. I think you had better come to the infirmary. I have just had the strangest conversation with the house elf Kali. It would seem that she has bound herself to Nina.�

�And that is a problem because?� Severus had raised an eyebrow at the Mede-witch.

�That is not the problem Severus. According to the elf, not only is she keeping Nina�s secrets for her, She is also holding Dark Magic for her. That is the problem.�

It was not long before Albus and Severus were sitting beside Nina�s bed along with Kali. Albus called another house elf and gave him some instructions. �I think that before we speak any further, Miss Manohel needs to have her own room. As we speak the elves are preparing a suite of rooms for her.�

�Is she not to be sorted Albus?

�I do not think it would be prudent for her, or us at the moment, to be housed completely with the other students. Nina is not actually a witch. At least not a witch such as we know them. She will hopefully be staying with us for quite a while and I do not think that the infirmary is suitable for a long tem stay. I shall explain more downstairs Severus. Come.�

When Severus realised that they were heading towards the dungeon area he was far from pleased.

�Albus. I do hope this is not what I think it is.�

Albus gave him a little smile.

�And what do you think it is Severus?�

�She would be much better housed with one of the female staff. You cannot expect me to baby-sit her. I do not have the time. I have my Slytherins� to look after. That along with teaching bunch after bunch of empty headed dimwits, lesson plans, marking. And what of my �Other Duties?� Or have you forgot about them?�

�I have not forgot about them Severus. Let us go inside.�

They were standing outside of a wooden door just a little way down the corridor from Severus� own private living quarters. The panelled door was made from pale grey Ash wood. Into the centre panel was inlayed the figure of a unicorn Carved from mother-of-pearl and with a golden horn. Albus ran his finger along the horn and the door opened for them.

Inside the lower walls, coffee table, desk, dresser, bookshelves and a small dining table with four chairs were all in the same light grey wood as the door. The upper walls were in a rich deep red. The many rugs on the floor, curtains and even the cushions on the pale grey sofa and chairs were in the same rich red. The curtains were open and gave a wonderful view of the forest and lake of Hogwarts. High up on the walls the torches were set in shiny brass sconces which added to the warmth of the room. Three further doors were set at intervals around the elegant living room. Severus assumed them to be bedroom, bathroom and possibly a cupboard.

The sofa and two armchairs were set around the coffee table in front of a blazing fire. The fireplace was once again made of a light grey wood with gold filigree patterns.

In one of the armchairs sat Nina.

�Miss is needing to drink her milk now. You is needing to get strong again.� Kali stood watching her mistress anxiously.

Nina took the glass from her and drank the milk. When she had finished she let her hand drop.

Just before the glass struck her knee, Kali�s hand shot and gently took hold of her hand, removing the glass and placing it on the table.

Albus and Severus were just about to sit down opposite Nina when four house elves came through one of the doors in the wall.

�We is done the bedroom and bathroom. It you is wishing, it is ready for your inspecting now.�

Albus turned and was just opening his mouth to say thank you and yes he would like to see what they had done when Kali spoke.

�I is ready to inspect it now. Miss Nina is with the Headmaster and the Snape.

It was then that both men realised that the elves were actually cow towing to Kali, and not addressing the headmaster. Kali went off to inspect the bedroom leaving Albus looking very put out.

Severus could not help but smile at his indignant expression.

�It would seem that you have been usurped a house elf Albus.�

The headmaster scowled at him but that only made the Potion Master smile even more. It was clear that the old man, for once was at a loss as how to react.

When Kali came back into the room and went straight to Nina, checking to see that she was okay, Albus spoke.

�I take it that the room is to your satisfaction Kali.�

�Oh yes headmaster. It is perfect for the young Mistress. We shall be most comfortable here. Is you and the Snape wanting to see it before the miss retires?�

�No thank you Kali. If you think it is suitable then I am satisfied.�

The elf must have noticed that Albus was put out because she told him. �Please do not be offended Headmaster. To serve The Assimilator is an honour beyond measure. Because I is bound to Miss Nina, elves is putting me above the status of even our great elf queen, �Frinda.� Queen Frinda has sent word that all elves are to serve Kali if called and help The Assimilator when the Big Time comes.�

�The big time?� Severus asked.

�Yes Professor. The Big Time will be coming and all elves is being ready to serve Miss Nina against the Evil One should she wish it.�

Severus looked over to Albus, who in turn looked to the elf.

�Kali. I have been informed that you have told Miss Manohel that you are holding dark magic for her.�

�Oh no Headmaster. I is not holding dark magic. I is holding The Dark Power fir the Miss. She be needing it back before she meets with The Dark One.�

�Perhaps you wouldn�t mind explaining further Kali.�

�Yes Sirs. I will try. Miss Nina is Going to rid us of the Dark Lord.�

Severus thought the elf was off her rocker. �And just how is she going to do that?� He drawled.

�Miss Nina is not as you are Sir. She is of much higher power than any being on earth or the Heavens. She has ability to hold life and soul in her hands. Giving life and taking it away is within her power. Or it will be. It is taking one year, from her seventeenth birthday to be ready. In this time she will meet with many creatures, both light and dark. The Snape must be with her for much of these meetings as they are two become one.�

�Two�.We�What?�

�Two become one Master. You is chosen. You is to be the Missis other. Yous both must unite as the one year is up. Then the evil can be ended. The Miss will protect you as you protect her.�

Now it was Severus� turn to be put out. He was truly speechless.

�Was the bloody elf mad?�

The elf continued.

�She will hold all Elemental magic, earth, fire, water, air and spirit. But she must take the dark as well as the light. All must balance. But you two must be one. Is most important Sir else all will be lost. You know she is virgin again? Only for the Snape though. She is being safe with you. Safer even then with Kali. And you is not needing the Harry Potter any more to kill the Evil One.�

With that the elf turned back to Nina with a look of adoration on her face. �Come Miss Nina. It is time you is been in bed.�

They watched as Kali led her charge through the door to her new bedroom and closed it behind her.

After sitting looking into the fire for five minutes, neither man saying a word, Severus suddenly said. �My rooms? Brandy?

And they left to open Severus� bottle of finest brandy.
Albus was sitting in the armchair near the fire wishing that his Potions Master would calm down and stop pacing.

�Severus. You will wear a groove in the floor. Please, sit down. I am getting a crick in my neck watching you go back and forth.

�Then don�t bloody watch me.� He was angry, Very angry. �What did she mean two become one? We must unite? I don�t fucking want to be her chosen one Albus. I don�t want to unite with anyone. Even if she is a v�.again. And I don�t want to �.OH FUCK! What a bloody mess.� He ran his hands through his hair. �Surely he didn�t have to¾
No. It would mean¾
SHIT. This was NOT meant to happen. He was meant to keep Potter alive long enough to hopefully kill the Dark Lord and that was it for him. That was his role in all this. Whoever won, he knew that he would die when it was over. But not this.

�Severus. We both know that Harry is not strong enough to fight Voldemort yet. Not fight him, and win. And I believe it will be several more years before he is. If ever. He has become more and more withdrawn and is finding it difficult to hold on to his sanity at times.�

�Oh and we mustn�t let poor little Harry get upset must we.� Severus was bitter.

�Severus. We have no choice in this matter. With what Kali has told us tonight and the little that is known of ancient lore and the legend of The Assimilator? There Is no other option. We, well you, are bound by a magic so ancient that it must go ahead in the way ordained. We cannot change it. To do so could prove disastrous.�

�Albus. I don�t like this If I am right, it means that I have to�.you know�.with Miss Manohel. We have to�.Albus you know as well as I what she has been through. And you expect her to�with me?� Severus was beside himself now. He was expected to fuck her. �She had been raped by her Uncle over and over and he was meant to gain her trust, help her get whatever it is that she is meant to get and then fuck her. He could not do it. Even if she had not been abused he doubted that she would want to do that with him. He was thirty seven years old. He was old enough to be her father. And it wasn�t as if he was even attractive. And she was beautiful. Why would she chose him. Why would any woman choose him.�

�Sit down Severus. Please.� As he sat Albus said to him. �I know this is hard for you my boy. But it does not have to be. Miss Manohel is a very beautiful young woman.�

�Exactly. She is too young. I am twenty years her senior.�

�You are still a very young man by wizarding standards. Many of our older female students are very enamoured of you. As are some of the female staff members.� The headmaster was smiling now. �It will be something beautiful between you Severus. You will not be hurting her as her Uncle did. She will learn, in time that she wants to be with you and that love is very different to rape.�

�But I don�t love her. And she certainly doesn�t like me.�

�You are wrong Severus. She liked you very much. And I believe that you care for her more then perhaps you realise. I will bid you good night.� Albus left him to brood over the evenings revelations.
Severus was about to turn in for the night when he felt the sudden agonising pain in his arm. �Fuck! Shit! Bugger! Damn! And Bastard! Not now.� As he went into his bedroom to don his mask and robe ready to meet the Dark Lord, Severus began to place everything from the last few days into a corner of his mind. It would do to let Voldemort know about the girl. He had not been called since early summer when he had been given to those sadistic bastards the Lestrange�s. And he had never been summonsed on a school night. He made his way to the main gate so that he could Apperate.

What Severus did not know was that Nina was finally showing a reaction to something. She had been woken by the most excruciating pain in her left arm. Kali was by her side in an instant. �Miss. Miss. What is wrong. Tell Kali Miss so Kali can help you.� But Kali did not get a chance to do anything as Nina once more disappeared. She had apperated from inside Hogwarts. Kali went straight to the Headmaster to tell him what had happened.

Albus flooed into Severus� rooms to see if he was there. It would appear that Severus has been summonsed. Nina, through their link, has been forced to follow. �I am afraid Kali that there is nothing we can do now until they return.�

�But Kali can go to Miss.�

�No Kali. You would be killed Even you I am afraid, are no match for Voldemort.�

�Oh, but the Miss is not ready to face Evil one yet. It is too soon.�

�She is with Severus Kali. We just have to hope that things will go well for them.�

So Kali retuned to Nina�s rooms, promising to let the Headmaster know when she returned so that he could make sure that Severus was also back safely.

An hour later Harry Potter was in the Headmasters office telling him that his scar was hurting.

When Severus arrived at the meeting place he realised that Voldemort was still at Malfoy Mansion.

Lucius Malfoy met him at the main entrance to the mansion. He looked unwell. He was drawn and had dark circles under his eyes. Severus was not surprised. Having the Dark Lord under your roof for weeks on end, constantly at his beck and call.

�Welcome Severus. Our Lord is eager to see you.� Lucius had a look of gloating on his face.

�Clearly, Since I am here.� Severus had years of practice schooling his face to an expression of looking as if he was not in the least bit concerned. He was also used to dealing with Lucius Malfoy.

Lucius pointed to a door. �He is in the Study.�

Severus went to the study door and walked in. As soon as the door closed behind him he prostrated himself on the floor and waited for the Dark Lord to call him. When the Dark Lord was holding one of his revels one only took up this position when called. This time however there were no other Death Eaters present. Well, apart from Wormtail.

�Come forward Snape.�

Severus got to his knees and crawled to wards the Dark Lord until he could see the familiar scaly feet. He could also see Nagini. The Dark Lords giant pet snake. She was coiled around his throne, watching his every move. He lay back down on his belly.

It pleased Voldemort to see his servants humble themselves to him this way.

�Rise Snape.�

Severus stood and kissed the offered hand, wishing he could wipe his mouth on his sleeve.

�You wish to see me My Lord.�

�Yes Snape. Why did you not tell me that you have a guest at Hogwarts?�

�Shit!� I did not think you would be interested My Lord. She is just some nobody that The old fool Dumbledor has taken in. He felt that she needed rescuing and decided to take her under his wing. I am sure that as soon as he discovers that she is of no use to him that he will�.�

Severus did not get chance to finish his sentence as Nina suddenly appeared next to the Dark Lord, clutching her left arm. She was slightly off balance and grabbed the first thing she could to stop herself from falling.

What she grabbed happened to be Voldemort�s scaly arm.

She stood there for a moment and saw Severus. She went straight to him, not even noticing for the moment, the hideous creature she had been holding onto.

She was still in her pink cotton nightgown that only reached her knees. It was slightly transparent and it was easy to see the shapely figure beneath the gown. Her hair was slightly messed up at the back where she had lain on it and her eyes were wide as she tried to understand what had just happened. She took in the Potions Master standing beside her with a stunned, horrified expression on his face. Then she saw the horrible little fat bald man looking at her just like Uncle Pete used to look at her. She shivered. Next she met a pair of red eyes staring down at her from the most grotesque face imaginable. �Uggh� Was her only sound as she took a step back.

�OH SHIT! OH SHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT!� Was all that Severus could think.
