“Come with me, Miss Potter.”
Harry looks up at her Professor and nods shakily.
Professor Snape leads the scared Slytherin through the throng of people, back into the castle, and up to the second floor. He stands in front of a stone gargoyle and glares at it.
“I need to see the Headmaster.” The gargoyle doesn’t do anything. Not that Harry was expecting the stone gargoyle to do anything. “I refuse to sit here and guess candies because the Headmaster wants to make us look like buffoons.” The gargoyle stays put. Harry shrugs, thinking that the Professor has lost his mind. “I have some stone-cutting acid down in my lab right now, that I will not hesitate to pour on you if you do not move!” The gargoyle steps to the side with a glare at Professor Snape.
Snape leads Harry onto a set of stairs, all the while mumbling about “stupid gargoyles,” the “headmaster’s obsession with sweets,” and “stupid sugary concoctions with no use other than to rot one’s teeth out of one’s head.”
Harry stands patiently next to the Professor, waiting for him to ascend the stairs before her. She’s so prepared to get moving again that she has to grab his robes for support when the stairs start to move themselves. Snape doesn’t say anything, but Harry lets go of him quickly.
When they reach the top landing, Harry moves to hide behind her Head of House. Harry can’t help but worry about what’s going to happen behind the door at the top and she just wants to leave; to go anywhere else; anywhere but here.

The rest of the student body is ushered back into the school by teachers, the giant Hagrid, and the older students. And once they are gone, all of the Slytherins, and a few of the Gryffindors, turn to Ron.
"You are so dead, Weasley."
Ron turns and looks at Draco. "She's just another Slytherin. The world is glad to be rid of her."
Draco glares at Ron, and then smirks. Ron stares intently at the Slytherin, un-trusting. From behind, he hears a growl and then he's lifted off the ground and turned. He comes face to face with a very annoyed Slytherin girl he thinks is a Bulstrode, but he can't, for the life of him, remember her name.
"You had better hope that she isn't expelled, Weasley."
Ronald Weasley pales to the point of passing out. He swallows loudly and starts wiggling to get out of her grasp, and away from her. He falls to the ground and scrambles away from her.
Just to hit two sets of legs. He looks up, into two sets of brown eyes. The two pairs of, completely different, brown eyes looks down at him with the same disdain shining through.
"You better hope,"
"That Harry isn't expelled."
"If she is,"
"You will wish,"
"That you had,"
"Never been born."
Ron doesn't even know which one is talking anymore. His head is spinning and he secretly hopes that these two never meet his brothers.
Ron crawls away from the two of them; away from Malfoy; away from Bulstrode. He tries to get away from the Slytherins, and their glaring eyes, back to the safety of the Gryffindors.
The first Gryffindors that he finds, however, are two Gryffindors that he does not want to deal with right now.
"Hello,"
"Little,"
"Brother."
"Having,"
"Fun?"
Ron looks into the twin brown eyes of his twin older brothers. Ron, once again, finds himself scrambling on the ground to get away.
"We,"
"Need,"
"To,"
"Speak,"
"Little,"
"Brother."
They reach forward as one and grab Ron by the underarms and drag him away from the rest of his class. They drag him off in the direction of the Forbidden Forest. As they get closer, Ron starts yelling and screaming. They stop within feet of the forest and start speaking in hushed tones.

"Are you sure, Severus?"
"I am positive, Headmaster."
"The other houses will be upset. Demand that they be allowed to find new players as well."
"You, Headmaster, must have seen what the girl can do. She is the best."
Harry tunes the two adults out. She's not quite sure what's going on, but she's pretty sure that she's not being expelled. At least they keep talking about the future and her classes, and such. But Harry doesn't know what this Quidditch is that they keep discussing.
Instead of listening to them, Harry looks around the room. There are several shelves that are lined with books and little whirring objects. Along one whole wall hang portraits of people. They are many, and each is different. And though they each are unique, with different clothes, hair, eye color, and smiles, they all share one trait. They all have an all-knowing shine in their eyes.
"Harry?"
Harry turns to them with a start. She had forgotten that they were there. She blushes lightly as she looks at them. "Yes?"
Dumbledore smiles. "We were asking whether that sounded good to you?"
"What?"
Severus sighs in exasperation. "If you wanted to join the Slytherin Quidditch team. As seeker."
Harry doesn't say anything, but she doesn't have to. Her eyes convey her confusion without the use of words.
"Quidditch. It's a wizarding game." Harry still looks confused and Severus grunts with annoyance. "I'm sure that your Slytherin friends will explain it to you."
Harry nods, dumbfounded. "So, I'm not being expelled?" The question is spoken slowly and softly. Almost to the point that they cannot hear her.
When Dumbledore manages to make out what she said, he laughs. "No, no, my dear girl. You are not being expelled. Certainly, you will be punished for disobeying your flying instructor, but I think that expulsion is a little harsh. Maybe a detention or two."
Severus nods. "That will appease the other heads."
"I am sure. Minerva will be displeased, but that will be about the worst of it."
Harry just looks at them. She thinks about the fact that Ron Weasley, though he was the one who took off on broom first, will get no punishment. She almost says something, her anger nearly reaching its boiling point, but she restrains herself. Detentions will not suffice for him. No. Harry will dish out her own set of punishments for the boy.
"Well then, that's settled." Harry nods to the old man, who turns and looks at a clock. "Oh dear. It seems that your previous class is about to end." Dumbledore smiles at Harry and motions with his hands.
"I, too, should be heading back to my classroom."
Dumbledore shakes his head. "You and I need to talk, Severus."
Severus sighs and sits back down across from the Headmaster. Harry leaves through the door, down the stairs, and out into the hall.
Where she finds twin red-heads waiting for her. Or she thinks they're waiting for her. They straighten up from where they were leaning against the wall upon seeing her.
"Hello Harry."
Harry looks at the two boys as they walk across the small hallway in unison. She inches away from them, closing in on herself, as they get closer; impeding on her personal space.
Harry's back touches the wall, and she stiffens quickly. Just as she starts bringing her arms up to protect herself from the imaginary blows, the twins step back.
"We want to talk to you."
Harry stops her hands in their upward movement and, instead, moves them to brace herself against the wall as she moves back to lean against it. "About what?"
"Our brother."
Harry looks at them more closely. She knows that they must be talking about Ron and she can't help but sneer at the thought.
The twins laugh. "Yeah. He kind of makes everyone,"
"Feel like that. But don't,"
"Worry. We've already,"
"Written the letter,"
"That we're,"
"Sending home."
Harry looks between the two of them. She has no idea which one is speaking anymore. She doesn't even know their names, and she's not sure that she would know which one was talking even if she did.
"What?"
The two of them share a look and then smile at her identical smiles. Harry just looks at them and her head spins. She closes her eyes because her brain is beginning to tell her that she's having double vision and she's getting a headache.
"So. Are you on my side? Or are you just telling me that... I don't know what?"
The two boys laugh at her. "No."
"No to what?"
The two boys laugh again. They look at her and then walk away. They turn in unison and walk away with the exact same stride and gait.
Harry just looks after them, confused. "So are they on my side?"
"You know. Speaking to yourself is the first sign of insanity."
Harry doesn't miss a beat. "And the second sign is responding." Harry covers her mouth and looks around. She doesn't see anyone. She starts thinking that she really did just respond to herself when she hears a low chuckle. She looks around again and sees a translucent man in the attire of old nobility, though she couldn't, for the life of her, guess which era it was from.
"I always wondered why Peeves found it so entertaining to mess with people. I must say that it is quite fulfilling."
Harry stares at the ghost as he flits around. The head flops around on the transparent neck until it falls off and sits, resting on his shoulder. Harry just stares at it, waiting for it to fall off completely.
It doesn't.
In fact, the ghost reaches up and pushes his head back onto his neck. He continues his constant movements while still chuckling at Harry's expense.
Harry stares at him, waiting for him to stop laughing. When he doesn't, Harry tries to walk past him to head back to class. Instead, she finds herself shivering as she walks through the transparent man.
"I saw you talking with the Weasley twins. I was wondering if they told you what they did to their brother."
Harry stops about halfway down the hall and turns around. "What?"
The ghost smiles in an almost malicious sort of way. But, almost as soon as Harry recognizes the expression, its gone. Harry almost thinks that she imagined it. Almost.
"As a ghost, I hear things." Harry raises a brow. "It seems that our dear youngest male Weasley is very much petrified of the species Arachnid."
Harry looks at the ghost. "Why are you telling me this?"
The ghost shrugs. "The Weasleys have always been welcome in my house. This Weasley, however... Is not."
Harry looks at him and motions for him to elaborate.
Just as he is about to elaborate more, the gargoyle behind Harry moves again, and the ghost disappears into a wall. Harry makes herself scarce by ducking behind the gargoyle.
"I see your point Severus, but we..."
"I know Headmaster. If the parents were to know, it would be disastrous. But I feel that things may get out of hand..."
"I know, Severus, but we cannot simply remove it from the school now, can we?"
There is silence for a few moments before Professor Snape starts speaking again. "No. I suppose we can't. But I still don't trust it being here."
"You have made your arguments, Severus. You need not make them again."
There is a sigh and then two sets of footsteps that recede into the distance. Harry waits a few more moments and steps out from behind the gargoyle. She almost expects to see the two of them standing there and is pleasantly surprised that they aren't.
"Aren't you a naughty little firstie?"
Harry looks around again. She doesn't recognize the voice. And she doesn't see anyone.
"Who are you?"
"I is Hogwarts."
Harry raises a brow. "If you are Hogwarts than you can tell me what picture I put up in my room last night."
There is a pause and then the voice speaks again. "Is boy. Picture is cute boy."
Harry shakes her head. "Uhh. No." She starts walking down the hall. She needs to get to her next class, and then lunch. She's not sure if she can stomach a lot of the rich foods, but she'll try to eat something to appease her friends.
"Where are you going, ickle firstie?"
Harry keeps walking, but she listens for the voice.
"Doesn't the firstie wants to play with Peeves?"
Harry recognizes the name. ^^The poltergeist? I have read, and heard, many a tale of him attacking students with water balloons and other things.^^ Harry grimaces. ^^I wonder why he hasn't attacked me yet.^^
Harry continues down the hall towards the first level so she can meet her friends as they head to the next class. She completely ignores the voice as it follows her.
"But Peeves wants to play! No one wants to play with Peeves!"
Harry listens to the whining poltergeist for several halls and stairways. She finally gets fed up with the whining being and stops. She's about to yell at the poltergeist, get him to leave her alone, when her mind finds a very appealing alternative.
"Peeves."
Her voice is singsong sweet as she calls out to the incorporeal being. She looks around, trying to find the poltergeist. She figures that he's hiding, but may come out into the open at the prospect of playing.
"Does ickle firstie want to play?"
Harry continues looking around. "Yes, Peeves. I want to play."
There's a high-pitched giggle and then a thin, transparent, malicious-looking man appears. Harry looks him over and smirks.
"You can get into anywhere, correct? Anywhere in the castle?"
Peeves stops giggling and looks at her. "Yes. Peeves can gets anywheres in the castle."
Harry smirks an evil smirk and looks at him again. "I have a game for you Peeves." Peeves raises a transparent eyebrow in a curiosity he is unwilling to vocalize. "It's called Ron's Arachnophobia." Peeves' eyebrow raises up farther in his confusion. "Let me explain the premise of the game, and you'll understand."
Peeves nods. "This Ron. Is he an ickle firstie? Will he be funs to play with?"
Harry nods. "I think that you will enjoy playing with Ron Weasley." Peeves smiles at the name and looks at her anxiously. Harry motions for him to follow her. "Ronald Weasley is a Gryffindor. He is, apparently, afraid of spiders. Therefore, I propose a challenge."
"A challenge, ickle firstie? What kinds of challenge?"
Harry smiles at the poltergeist. "Yes. A challenge. It will be a challenge with only one target: Ron Weasley. The challenge is to scare him to the point that he doesn't want to leave the common room."
"And how will wes do that?"
"With spiders."
"Spiders?"
"Ron Weasley is afraid of spiders."
"Oh reallys?"
Just before the poltergeist takes off into a wall to start planning, Harry stops him with a hand. "Wait. There are boundaries." Peeves stops and turns around, disappointed. "We cannot attack him in the Gryffindor common room. Nor can we attack any others unless we both agree to extend the parameters of the challenge. Classes cannot be openly disrupted, but potions is fair game. And mealtimes are always open."
Peeves laughs maniacally and then disappears into a wall just as Harry turns the last corner and comes face to face with the one person she doesn't want to see right now.
"Ron Weasley."
Ron Weasley: red-head extraordinaire, glory-hound in all his annoyance, harasser, attacker, and the current bane of Harry's existence.
Ron almost walks into Harry. Upon seeing her, he sneers, but side-steps and stalks away from her. As he walks away, Harry looks after him and smirks. ^^You will curse the day you ever crossed me, Ronald Weasley.^^
"Ri!"
Two girls sprint at their friend and throw themselves on her. It is only Harry's impeccable force of will that keeps her standing with her two friends hanging off of her.
After a few moments, Harry feels as though she's going to collapse and looks at the others in the hallway for assistance. After a few moments that seem to last forever, Millie comes to her rescue.
"'Scuse me lassies, but she can't breathe. In fact, she seems to be turning blue."
Her two friends immediately let go of her. She falls to the ground and sits there while they check her over for wounds. From what, Harry isn't quite sure. In fact, she's not entirely sure that they're checking her over for wounds. But they are looking her over for something. When they start to lift up her clothes, Harry smacks their hands away and covers her stomach with her hands.
"Ri? What's wrong?"
Harry shakes her head. She doesn't want to talk about it. She doesn't want to explain it. Doesn't want to even think about. Wants to talk about something else. Anything else.
Millicent sees the young girl's discomfort and decides that she needs to do something. So, she does the only thing she can think of.
"So what happened, Harry? Where did Snape take you, and why?"
Her friends seem to suddenly remember that Harry was threatened with expulsion. "You weren't expelled, were you?" "Because if you were, Ron Weasley is going to die." "Slowly."
Harry holds up her hands, to stop the questions. "No. I was not expelled." She stops there. Does she really want to tell them? She knows that Hermes and Daff won't care, but what about Draco? She doesn't know him well enough to know whether he will hate her for this.
"Well?!" Harry snaps back to attention. She looks at the person who talked. Its a dark-skinned Italian that Harry recalls being named Blaise. "What happened?" Harry snaps to attention again and decides that she might as well tell them. They'll know soon enough, anyway. And, if Draco hates her....
"I was made seeker."
There's a resounding "WHAT?!" as everyone yells and Harry covers her ears to keep from going deaf. When she uncovers them and looks around, she knows that lunch is going to be full of explanations.
"We have to get to our next class." Harry looks down at her schedule. "Charms. Come on."
Harry starts tugging on her friends' arms. She wants to go. She doesn't want to explain. She doesn't want to be special. She doesn't want to have been expelled either, but she didn't want them to make her part of the Quidditch team.

AN: First things first: I know that Blaise isn't Italian, but Harry isn't a girl either. So I'm taking a few creative liberties.
Second: I know that I just stopped, but I didn't want to just keep going and that seemed to be as good a place as any.
Finally. I have some questions. Should Draco get mad at Harry and abandon her, just to come crawling back later? Should they have all their classes with the Gryffindors? And, finally, should Peeves go first, or should it be Harry, and when
