07 An Offer not to be refused
Harry and Billy arrived at the Apparating Area to see a full-blown witch waiting to be ushered in. Billy looked a bit askance at her, wondering what would come next.
“Headmistress, how good of you to come so quickly.” Harry extended his hands and Minerva clasped them.
“Harry, I see you’ve made your house safer than Hogwarts.” McGonagall squeezed Harry’s hands. “And who is this presentable young man, may I ask?”
“Um … It’s Billy … Um …”
“How-do-you-do Ms McGonagall, Harry and I are extremely close friends and I’m a Muggle.”
“Oh! … Extremely close? … Bed-sharing close, perhaps?”
“Yes; and all that goes with it.”
“I see you’ve grown up rather quickly Harry. By the way, now the fuss is over, you’ve been accepted into the Order, it was a formality really … Oh well it’s not that there aren’t any other couples like yourselves around and in the Order; perhaps it’s for the best. You just make sure you make our Harry happy, young man.”
“Yes Ma’am, I’ll try my best.” Billy was as overawed with the Headmistress as Harry was.
By this time the trio had reached the Cottage and Minerva followed Harry up the stairs into the living area.
“I see you have made this into a very pleasant domicile. Ah, Ronald and Hermione, as I was telling Harry, you’re all members of the Order now you have re-appeared out of hiding. When we are on Order business or in private, as we are now, you are to call me by my first name, Minerva.”
“Yes, H … Minerva.” Ron looked nervous.
“Right! Tell me in detail what is happening and any plans you have made so far.”
Harry, with interjections from his friends, re-told the happenings up to date.
“Well done; you seem to have things in hand. There is a problem though. The Master is planning at least another raid that we know of, so we’re going to be stretched rather thinly. We hadn’t counted on this fracas too and the few people we have left, have their assignments already. So what we need are some extra helpers, any ideas?”
“H … Minerva, do you know about our little defence society of a year or so back?”
“Yes Ronald, it was a good show then, and a great help when that dratted boy let the Death Eaters into Hogwarts.”
“Well maybe we could draft them into helping here. Hermione’s wards are repellent ones, so once the party goers are all assembled there shouldn’t be an awful lot to do. Later on we can go out and pick up the stunned Death Eaters, giving the living ones back to you under restraints. Of course it won’t be quite as simple as that”
“I think we could find an Order member or two to help.”
“Could one be George, please? He can conjure up firework displays, that’ll keep the sheltering Muggles unaware of any serious fireworks outside.”
“I like your thinking Ronald. Yes I’m sure George would be only too pleased to help, he was grumbling about being in the reserve platoon anyway.”
There were two pops: “Masters and Mistresses dinner is served.” Kreacher stood proudly in a dark black cloak, and Winky was next door to him in a mauve one.
“Well Harry. I see you have already put your establishment in order. May we go in?”
Harry\'s table gleamed with glass and silverware, most of which he did not recognise.
“I got it on approval from Gortnum and Fasons, Masters. I hope you approve?” whispered Kreacher, standing between Harry and Billy.”
“How much altogether?”
“A Hundred-and-twenty-five galleons, Masters.”
“Okay, I’ll stand you for that. I think I’d better go to Diagon Alley tomorrow to get some more money. Oh, and I’ll get your first instalment at the same time, Billy.”
“Can I come with you, please?”
“I’m not sure. Um … Minerva; can Muggles go into Diagon Alley?”
“You’d have to charm him first Harry, in the same way that you would to Side-along Apparate him.”
“Thanks, I’ve got to get some money tomorrow, so I can talk to George at the same time, can’t I?”
After dinner Ron and Hermione went to floo the various DA members and Billy went to sort out planning his painting with Mrs Amis. Harry and Minerva sat in the lounge area.
“Harry; I have a special favour to ask you, it’s about school and its teachers.”
“Yes?” Harry saw Minerva looking very diffident.
“You know how difficult it was for Albus to retain DADA Professors. Well. I’m not even getting any applicants, at least none of the right calibre. I was wondering if you would become Tutor-in-Charge of DADA until I find someone. You did a very good job with Dumbledore’s Army, and you’ve learnt a lot since, especially in defeating Voldemort. It was Ms Longbottom who suggested the idea and she promised to help you with the teaching plans and extra skills you might need. She says she’s too old to deal with hordes of young people, so the Governors thought that she could be your advisor and you to be the teacher.”
“What about my NEWT’s?”
“You already have enough knowledge in DADA and your Transfiguration is already up to pass standards. As Tutor-in-Charge you would be expected to continue your studies in the other subjects, but we felt that another extra year would help before you took the examinations. The Governors are prepared to give you two Emeritus NEWT’s in DADA and Transfiguration immediately, thus giving you the necessary qualifications to become a Tutor-in-Charge. You’d be paid; of course, we thought about five-hundred galleons a term.”
“I imagine, that with the clearing up after the war, you’ll need everyone you can lay your hands on; and they’ll have to be skilled up to be able to fight Dark Magic. I should think that the students in each year will need at least one double period a week and maybe extra single periods for the top two or three years. I’ll need an extra period for prep and advice for each class level. That would leave me twelve periods for formal study ... Mmm … One evening a week ought to be available for a revived duelling club if that were possible. I’m going to be hard pressed to reach my other NEWT’s in two years. To keep sane I need some recreation and time off. I’ll accept; if the other NEWT’s studies can be spread over three years.”
“We thought you might push for an extra year, and that would be quite acceptable to the Governors, as will be the duelling club. It will give the students a practical demonstration of the arts that they are learning and how they can be carried out. It will encourage the younger ones to excel and give the older ones hands on experience. I’ll have the contracts owled to you during the next week, if we all survive the weekend. Thank you Harry, I personally am most grateful, and I know our students will now have at least three years of continuous joined up teaching. Welcome to Hogwarts teaching staff, Tutor Potter.”
They shook hands.
“Now all I have to do is find a potions professor.”
“Draco Malfoy was good at that, wasn’t he? I don’t think his heart is with the Master anymore – maybe him as Tutor-in-Charge, but then, who would you get to advise him?”
“It is a good idea, Harry and I would act upon it. However we don’t know his whereabouts or even whether he intends to return to Hogwarts. Ah well.”
Just then Harry sensed John approaching his door. “Our friendly vicar is just arriving, would you keep him talking whilst I retrieve the picture from Ron, please?”
“Yes, of course I will.”
Harry went to the door. John was almost there.
“Hello Dear Boy, I’ve just come for that photo. Peace be on your house.”
“I welcome you in peace. Please come in, we need to have a serious discussion … This is Minerva McGonagall my headmistress … This is Father John Green my vicar.”
Harry saw recognition on their faces as the two shook hands and John sat down, Harry shot off downstairs to see how Ron and Hermione were doing.
“Have you got the picture from your dad, Ron?”
“Yes; here it is.”
“Thanks.”
“Seamus and Dean are Apparating over in half an hour; we said you’d put them up until after the weekend. Is that all right, Harry?”
“Yes thanks Hermione. That’s something else we’ve got to do, find accommodation for the DA to stay. I’d better get upstairs, John’s arrived and he’s talking to Minerva.”
Harry arrived back in the lounge area to find John and Minerva chatting amicably.
“Harry. Minerva was our local mage when I was growing up in Scotland. I must say she hasn’t changed a bit.”
“Yes well; us magic folk don’t age as quickly as you Muggles do.”
“Thanks for the picture … Ugh … That’ll make them think … poor young man, I shall pray for his soul. Well? What’s this serious discussion?”
“The parish dance is in great danger this weekend.”
“I take it this is more serious than the motorcycle yobs who hurl abuse sometimes.”
“Yes, much more dangerous. We are almost sure that Araxes and his mob intend to wreak mayhem of the most deadly kind on Saturday night; it is part of a national campaign of terror. What we need to do is get all the inhabitants under a safety umbrella and I think we have a solution. Please Father John, will you bless this humble mage’s cottage on Saturday evening.”
“I see where you’re going and take it that you are defensible. Mage Harry, I would be most pleased to perform a blessing ceremony on your cottage that day. I’ll spread the word to all that should know; what a pity Woodyates Farm is incommunicado at the present. I think I can guarantee ninety-nine percent attendance; can you accommodate at least three hundred people?”
“It’ll be a push, but yes, if we use the lawn.”
“The parish has a marquee almost as big as your lawn; would you like to borrow that?”
“Yes please. We’ve had the idea of a fireworks display to disguise any fighting that might take place outside. Some more of my special friends will be coming over to help us. The most vulnerable time will be as people are gathering.”
“So they’ll be riding shotgun, so to speak.”
“You have the right idea.”
“I’ll get Samantha and the ladies organised doing refreshments here instead of at the church hall. Old Mr Foley will be round to pitch the marquee tomorrow evening; he was going to do that next door to the church hall anyway. So expect a bevy of ladies on Saturday morning putting flowers everywhere and tablecloths on everything. Oh yes, I can lend you some collapsible tables and chairs if you like, though I’m not sure who will bring them.”
“I think we might cover the transport arrangements, probably very late at night.”
“Understood! I think I’d better be going now; I think I know just where to find those boys before they sneak back into their bedrooms. Goodnight Minerva, nice to meet you again. Peace be on your house, Harry.”
“May you travel in peace, John.”
“I think I had better be going too, Harry. Floo me at Hogwarts on Friday morning to let me know how things are going.”
Harry walked with Minerva to the Apparating Area, finding Dean and Seamus waiting to be handed in. Quick greetings over, Minerva Apparated away.
“Hi Harry! We hear you have a spot of bother imminent, anything we can do to help?”
“Hi Harry! I like your new wards. Are these the ones Hermione was developing?”
“Hi Guys! Yes to both questions. Bring your trunks along we have a room ready for you.”
Pop: “Harry Potter, Master. I’ll deal with the trunks you take your guests in, there are some sandwiches on the sideboard plus some Butterbeer; some of Winky’s home brew special.”
Ron and Hermione joined them at the sideboard.
“We’ve got twelve more DA members coming to help out. They’d all prefer to come over for Friday morning and want you to lead them for practice in the afternoon and then get a good night’s sleep.”
Billy had wandered in during the time they were gathering and he was introduced to Seamus and Dean whilst everyone munched.
“Where are they going to all sleep Harry?”
“I suppose in sleeping bags on the floor in here.”
“I reckon we could build a couple of bunks in that other guest room, that’d add two more. Pity we didn’t get permission for the barn conversion we could have fitted them all in there easily.”
“You’re going to need that for your base Billy.”
“Just under half for the flat and just over half for the business, at least that’s what I thought of”
“Is that this building next door, Harry?”
“Yes Seamus, why?”
“Well me Old Man has had me making walls and things in part of Finnegan’s Fortress. I think he does it out of cussedness, `cos he’ll want ter alter them next week or the week afterwards. Me Mam gets right fed up with him when he’s in that mood and goes off ter stay with me granny. That’s why I was so glad to come here and get out of his way.”
“What are you getting at Seamus?”
“If your friend Billy could draw up a plan, I’m sure Dean and I could waggle our sticks and make things happen, like. He’d have the basics for a flat, you’d have decent bunk accommodation for the hordes and I’d have the satisfaction of knowing me structure will be useful for a change. What d’you think?”
“Well, Billy?”
“Err … Won’t it fall down when the magic wears off, or something.”
“It’ll take five hundred years before that happens.”
“Oh! Reasonably permanent then?” Billy said with a smile.
“You could say that, unless me old man comes round, that is.” Seamus returned the smile
“Harry? Would you mind if we made a doorway here. It could lead into a passageway with … let me see.” Billy pored over a bit of paper scribbling with a pencil. “… A smallish twin bunk room, two bunk rooms for four and a shared bathroom. I could easily convert that lot into a nice flat for myself, and I’d have access to look after your cottage as well. Look!”
Harry and Billy studied his sketch for a minute or two.
“That seems okay, what about the timber?”
“The boss phoned me and told me he was delivering it all tomorrow afternoon.”
“So we’ll go shopping in the morning and be back for lunch. Construction work in the afternoon, and the marquee in the evening. How does that sound?”
The company nodded acquiescence.
“Billy, if you mark up the doorway, Seamus and I will make an arch there in the morning, okay?”
“Yes thanks, Dean. I’ll get my spray can out in a bit. I need to measure accurately first. I think we’d better line the present barn doors with another layer of wood, I’m not sure an instant external stone wall would be a good idea, it might frighten the neighbours. Besides the authorities might start asking awkward questions. They can’t see what happens inside; the skylights are already there. We put them in when we did the roof on the barn. That means we’ll be able to work and see what we’re doing, even if it’s raining.”
“Guys; I have some personal news to tell you … You know McGonagall was here … She’s asked me to become Tutor-in-Charge of DADA, and I’ve accepted.”
“Well done Mate!” Ron clapped Harry on the back.
“Congratulations Harry. What about your NEWT’s?”
“I’m being given Emeritus NEWT’s in DADA and Transfiguration, as Minerva says I’m up to scratch already. Then various subjects over three years, spending the rest of the time teaching DADA.”
“I’m looking forward to your classes already, Harry. We learnt such a lot when you ran Dumbledore’s Army. What practicals will we be having?”
“Neville’s Gran’s going to advise me and help me make a connected schedule. The Headmistress has agreed, on my insistence, that we can start the duelling club up again. That’ll add substance to our learning and teach us how to improvise, like in a real situation.”
“Can I have your signed photograph now, please; Professor Potter; before Professor Snape floors you.”
“Shut up Finnegan, or I’ll have you in detention helping me sign pictures.”
Billy couldn’t understand their helpless laughter, so Harry promised to explain later.
As they were going up to bed Dean came over. “Harry? Are you and Billy sharing a bed?”
“Yes, and everything else that goes with that statement. Why do you ask?”
“Well … Err … I’ve been at Seamus’s most of the holiday and … Well … We’ve got rather close … Err … Very close actually.”
“Good for you. What does Seamus feel about your relationship?”
“His Mum’s the problem. I think I’m in love with him, but we don’t get much chance to broach the subject. Don’t get me wrong, the sex bit is great when we can, but when it’s over we have retire to our separate beds. Do you and Billy do that?”
“I don’t think it entered our heads. We sleep spooned up to each other after some glorious sex, it was a bit awkward at first but we seem to settling into a rhythm. I enjoy waking up next to him; it gives me a zing for the day. At least, that is if we don’t overindulge ourselves, then we’re little zombies for a couple of hours first.”
“Thanks for that, maybe ours is all animal attraction. Just thinking of him gets me really hard and randy.”
“I get hard and randy thinking about Billy. Just look at our bulges. I think we’d better go and do something about them now. Don’t you?”
Harry and Dean went off to find their respective mates. When Harry arrived at his room, Billy was on their joint bed striking a seductive pose; showing just enough of himself to excite Harry’s desire. Harry’s clothes formed a trail from door to bed as he hastily shucked off his garments. Only his boxers remained when Harry arrived at Billy’s side. The two young men had a problem with the undergarment because it became entwined about Harry’s eager prong.
Billy told Harry to relax, which he did; only to find Billy had tied the undergarment tightly under Harry’s balls, thus making his crown jewels all shiny, purple and tender. Billy started to stroke and tickle, Harry shuddered and arched each time he was touched. Slowly Billy edged beneath his partner until his hard, sheathed instrument was beneath its target. Harry had not realised what was happening until he felt Billy’s knob pushing against his pucker. Next time Harry arched, gasping, Billy went up with him so that on the relaxed rebound Harry was impaled. Harry now had two sensations to contend with, each one very exciting in its own way. Billy had a built in wank machine as Harry alternately flexed and relaxed; bringing them both to the boil in one exultant climax.
Billy remained inside Harry as they relaxed. Occasional gentle movements lulled Harry into a luxuriously relaxed state. In that mood Harry gave Billy an insight into the foibles and failures of the previous DADA professors. Lockhart’s story was last and Billy’s resultant laughter jiggled his rooter in Harry’s bum, setting them off on another sexy round before drifting off to sleep in each other’s arms.
“Headmistress, how good of you to come so quickly.” Harry extended his hands and Minerva clasped them.
“Harry, I see you’ve made your house safer than Hogwarts.” McGonagall squeezed Harry’s hands. “And who is this presentable young man, may I ask?”
