Chapter 8: Video Day 1

Riley paced in the make up trailer going over the lyrics in her head. Today they were just going to do the storyline shoot between her and Hermione. She didn't know why she was nervous. She's been in a lot of videos with other girls before, but this time was different. She looked in the mirror and checked herself to make sure she looked okay.
The eyeliner they gave her really made her eyes pop, as well as the some foundation they put on her face. That's all she ever did was some eyeliner and foundation to make her face pop more during the music videos. The guys didn't like the fact that they had to do the foundation but after some convincing, they gave in, thanks to Riley.
There was a knock on the door and Riley took a deep breath and took on last looking in the mirror. She was in her "beach wear," a slim grey tank top, and black and red swim trunks. She worked out a lot to get fit for this video. Her shoulders, arms, and legs were really defined she noticed. The guys really helped her out for this. They all try to stay in shape, with the touring, and some videos where they did some choreography.
Her hair was slicked back and shiny because of the stuff the hair stylist put in it. She told herself that she needed a hair cut soon. Maybe go back to her old haircut that she used to love. She was so lost in her thoughts that she lost track of time. Someone knocked twice on the door and she was brought out of her daze. With more look in the mirror she walked out of the trailer and into the warm sun.

Hermione was sitting in a chair with her name on it, on the beach, with a ton of people around her making sure her make up and hair were looking good. She could feel the butterflies in her stomach and she was trying not to shake. She looked down the beach and saw Riley talking with the director. They were pointing a lot and nodding a lot as well.
"You nervous?" She heard and looked up and saw Draco. She gave him a small smile and he just wrapped his arm around her, "You'll be great. Just remember go with it, and you'll do great," he reassured her. She nodded and leaned into his hug. Just as Harry walked up to her and did the same thing. She smiled at the both of them and she told both how grateful they were there with her.
Kelsey walked up to them, "You ready?" he asked and Hermione nodded. She got up from the chair and hugged Draco, then Harry. Both smiled as she walked off with Kelsey.
The wardrobe people put her in a red bikini top,matching bottoms, and a floral ocean blue wrap around skirt. Hermione was worried at first when they showed her the top she had her concerns. She told Riley and after a few hours they came back to Hermione with a better top that was better suited for Hermione's liking.
This top would cover more than the average top that she would see super models wear. She smiled at the fact that Riley would take her into consideration when it came to things like this.
"You okay?" Kelsey asked.
"I'm a little nervous, I've never done anything like this before."
"You'll be great. Just go with the flow. Today we're just doing a lot of storyline stuff. So you and Riley on the beach and in the water. After that we'll do a wardrobe change and you'll be running down the hotel hallways. Then, a shot of you both in the suite just goofing around, pillow fight, tickle fight I think. Get a shot of you two looking at the sunset, and then dancing in the bar. End with the two of you on the balcony and with Riley going down on one knee. You being surprised and nodding your head. Very last shot is you nodding and the two of you kissing." As Kelsey was explaining to her how the day was going to go she noticed Riley looking out into the water.
All she wanted to do was hold her and never let her go. But she couldn't believe she was here. Doing this video with her, she never dreamed she would be here. Never in her wildest dreams would she be reunited with her.
"So do you have any questions?" Kelsey asked as people were coming over to Hermione to check her make up and hair again.
"Uh yeah, what's the song called?" She asked as the camera crew was setting up.
Kelsey smiled, "You'll find out soon enough," he said with a smirk and walked away.
Riley met Kelsey half way, "Hey, how are you feeling?"
"Nervous as fuck! I want a cigarette but I know I don't want her to kiss an ashtray." Kelsey nodded, "Good thinking. Well if it makes you fell any better, she's nervous too. Just go with the flow. Today is an easy day. Tomorrow we're shooting the band stuff. So just get through the day and tomorrow will be better and go by fast. Beside we all need to get that tattoo tomorrow."
Riley chuckled, "Yeah you're right, I also need to get my haircut once this is over."
"Going back to your old one?" Kelsey asked hoping she would say yes.
She nodded, "Yeah this long slick back look isn't working anymore. Too much stuff goes in it to keep it like this." She said as she pointed at the top of her head in an annoying manner. Kelsey laughed. "I'll see you after the shoot. We have a small acoustic thing tonight at after we finish up. Label wants us to do more of that kind of stuff."
Riley just nodded, "Okay works for me," she was about to say something else but then the director yelled over to them that they were ready. "You got this," Kelsey said and put his hand on her shoulder. She looked up at her best friend and nodded, "Thanks man." He nodded and jogged off to join the others.
He joined the rest of the guys, "So when am I telling her all this?" Mike asked. "After the video premieres. I wanna make sure what Riley feeling is truly there. I don't want her to loose her temper just yet. We're in Fiji so let's enjoy it." Mike nodded and smiled, "You're right. I'm just glad I remember everything now. We need to break away from the label soon. If my sister did this I don't want to be part of her life anymore."
"We got your back no matter what," Eric said coming up to stand next to Mike.
"We've been friends for too long to let this tear us apart. Plus it happened to all of us." Ryan said putting his hand on Mike's shoulder.
"We have a great support system. When we get back, Remus wants to meet with us and we have to tell him everything." Kelsey said, "It's just Riley I'm worried about. I'm scared that what they did to her might kill her." They all looked out and saw Riley and Hermione playing around in the water as the camera was following them around. They knew that they had to do. They just wish they didn't have to hurt their best friend.

"So they all remember?" Sirius asked Harry and Draco. Harry finally reached out to Sirius and they were sitting at a table at one of the bars in the resort. Harry nodded, "Kelsey came up with an antidote and gave to the guys," he explained.
"Well Riley didn't get it yet," Draco piped in. Sirius looked at the two in confusion. "Why hasn't Riley gotten the antidote yet?" Harry and Draco looked at each other. Harry sighed, "Well, when we gave it to the guys they were fine. They popped right up and remembered." He paused for a moment, "The first time Kelsey tried to give it to Riley she stopped screaming but didn't wake up for about ten hours. She didn't remember anything. What ever is blocking her, is hard to crack. So who ever is blocking her memories is trying to make damn sure she doesn't remember."
Draco looked out into the water and sighed, "I'm not sure how much Snape will know, but I can reach out to him."
"Have you reached out to Dumbledore yet?" Sirius asked and both of them looked down in their laps. That was his answer. He shook his head and sighed, "Why haven't you?"
"We wanted to make sure it was them. We couldn't take the media's word for it. So we waited." Harry started to explain.
"Then, Kelsey reached out to Hermione and that's how we found out some of the story. They were taken that night of the New Year's Eve Ball five years ago. Memories wiped and we never existed. Until Kelsey found a way to get his memories back." Draco finished up.
"The night we got here we were talking to Kelsey and the rest of the guys came in and caught us talking about it. That's when we gave them the antidote and they all remembered." Harry explained.
"I see. I would keep Riley in the dark. Contact Remus tell him you met with me. Katie must be beside herself," he said softly.
"I know she misses her and we think Riley's dad has something to do with this. Jessie is involved some how too. She and Danielle are having an affair," both Draco and Sirius looked at Harry.
"Harry what do you mean Jessie and Danielle are having an affair?" Sirius asked.

After a long day of shooting the video and the director being happy with the chemistry she had with Hermione, Riley was happy to take a long hot shower. Everything went smoothly, they only had to reshoot the proposal scene because Riley dropped the ring box. Her hands were shaking so bad that she dropped it off the balcony. Everyone had a good laugh about it and now call her "Butterfingers."
Other than that mishap everything went perfect. Hermione was great in front of the camera. Riley had this great idea for a movie and if Hermione was up for it she would like her to play the lead. But that's a giant step. She could tell Hermione was nervous at first, but after a while it became natural for them to act like they were in love.
Not that the storyline part was over, Riley was looking forward to the acoustic set tonight. She knew two songs she wanted to do tonight. The guys were coming over in a bit go over the set list. They were just gonna do about six songs. Then get some sleep for an early shoot tomorrow.
She got out of the shower and turned on some music and started to get ready for the night.
She heard knock on her door just as she finished getting dressed. "Come in," she said as she started to comb her hair. The guys walked in and took a seat where ever they wanted. "Have any ideas for tonight?" Mike asked. Riley smiled and nodded, "I have a few."

Harry, Draco, and Hermione were sitting at one of the tables close to the stage where the band would be performing. "Hermione you were amazing!" Harry spoke over the loud music that the DJ was playing while they were waiting for Outsiders to come to the stage.
Draco nodded, "Yeah, you were a natural!" Hermione blushed a little bit, "Every one said I did amazing for my first time being in front of a camera!"
"If I didn't know you, I would think you were a super model!" The three of them laughed at Draco's statement. "Here's to Hermione, the next big thing!" Harry said and the three held up their drinks and clinked their glasses. Hermione was about to say thank you when a loud cheer came from the entrance.
From where they were they couldn't see why everyone was cheering until the DJ stopped the music and spoke into the microphone, "Ladies and gentlemen OUTSIDERS IN THE BUILDING!" The three friends watched as the group walked through the crowd and made their way to the stage.
They were setting everything up and Riley took the microphone and gave the DJ a small hug. "How's every one doing tonight?!" The crowd cheered loudly, and Riley smiled and looked at the guys and they laughed. "Well as most of know we are here shooting our new music video." Again every one cheered.
"It's off of our new album, 'Let Me Love'" again she was met with a cheering crowd. "Okay so tonight we are going to a small acoustic set. We each picked a song a to do and we also picked a song we all agree is our favorite. So to start it off we are going to do 'Hooligans' and-" she was cut off by everyone cheering and clapping so loud.
"Calm down, calm down," she smiled. "We wanted to do this song because this is how we felt when we were kids. We never really fit in with the popular crowd and, we dressed like well hooligans. So this song is pretty much our memories of us when we were kids. If you know it sing along."
She turned around and looked at Mike and he nodded and smiled, she gave a thumbs up and they started to play the melody.

This was defiantly their favorite song it was also a crowd pleaser when they would do this on tour.

Eric smiled when he heard the crowd get loud singing along. When he would hear the crowd sing along to a song, it made his heart fill up with so much love for their fans.

Riley held out her microphone as the crow started to sing the chorus, "Y'all sound amazing!" The crowd cheered and Riley caught Hermione's eye and she winked at her. Hermione of course blushed and looked down with a small smile then back up a Riley.
"I'm so close to the edge of the life that I sacrificed and strived for.
But you've buried everything we used to fight for.

At this point Kelsey stepped up to the microphone.

The crowd went wild when they heard Kelsey sing for the first time.

Old Dena raised me.

Ryan smiled when he heard the crowd cheer after he sang his verse.

Eric tried to hid his blush after he went. It was Riley's idea for this song that the each had a small verse. Since the song was mostly about them. She wanted them to have equal share of the spot light.

But they don't see what I do."
Mike let go of that small breath he didn't he was holding after hearing the crowd get loud after he sang his verse. He couldn't believe it. He tried to hide his smile but it wasn't working out to well.
"Okay now I want y'all to help us finish!" Riley yelled and held out her microphone and sang along with the crowd.

The song ended and the crowd roared with cheers and applause. Riley smiled and thanked the crowd and went straight into their next song.

Hermione always loved watching Riley perform ever since the first night they met. Even though Riley doesn't remember it Hermione does. The way Riley came into the Great Hall full of life and energy and just walked in like she owned the place. She can tell that's where Riley belongs; in front of a crowd entertaining people. That's where Riley was Riley. Nothing could touch her while she was up there.
Hermione clapped along to the music and even joined in sometimes while the crowd would sing. She knew she heard these songs before and she didn't know it was them. She closed her eyes as she heard a melody she heard before. She knew this song and she would listen to it over and over again. Not thinking it was Outsiders. She would never catch who song this was because she would change the station or just shut off the radio.
She opened her eyes and saw Riley sitting on a stool this time. "Did y'all have a good time?!" The crowd cheered. "This is our last song of the night." There were a lot of boos and aww's. She held up her hands, "I know, but we are gonna be here for a while. So just check in we might come back tomorrow night," the crowd again went wild.
"Okay so this song is from one of our old albums. This song is about how you wait for some one no matter how long it takes. Right now the guys are actually playing the melody behind me. So if you stuck with us since the beginning sing along and enjoy." She stood up and took off her button down and was now in a almost skin tight small black shirt that showed off her muscles.
Hermione tried not to get all hot and bothered like she did before, but she couldn't help it. It was a natural reaction. This always happened when she would see Riley in something like that. She wished Riley would remember what they had. But she didn't want to push it too hard. She found herself falling in love all over again.

Hermione's eyes went wide and she met Harry's gaze. Both looked surprised, because they would sometimes play this song on repeat in their flat and dance to it. It also reminded Hermione of Riley, not because of the voice, but because of the lyrics.

Hermione escaped Harry's gaze and looked up at Riley who's eyes were closed as she was singing the words. She couldn't believe it. This song is what got her through the last five years. She always thought it was some one else that sounded just like Riley. She never thought in a million years that this song was Outsiders.

Hermione started to sing along to the song and tried to fight back the tears. She couldn't believe that Riley has been there all along. It didn't take long for Riley to meet her gaze and not tear away from it.

Riley wanted nothing more than to take Hermione right then and there. For some reason every time she sang this song she felt this void. She didn't know why until now. She was looking at Hermione and watching her sing along, she started to feel something. She didn't know what it was but she was feeling this connection, or something else.

The guys could tell what was going on between Riley and Hermione. They all exchanged knowing looks and smiled. Something was there, the spark was starting to come alive again.

The crowd cheered at the top of their lungs and clapped. The group all stood up like they always did, wrapped their arms around each other and took their bows. Kelsey took the microphone, "Thank you for coming out! Like Riley said we are going to be in Fiji for a while and we might do this again in the next coming week or so! Thank you again!" They got off the stage and Riley made a beeline for Hermione. She whispered something in her ear and Hermione just stood up and took Riley's hand.

The guys looked after them, "Where are they going?" Draco asked and Kelsey looked at him and raised an eyebrow. Draco stared for a moment, then the light bulb went off,, "Ohhhhhhh," he said. "There it is," Kelsey said as he took a shot of whiskey.

Once through the door Riley couldn't wait. She wrapped Hermione up in her arms and their lips met. "What are you doing to me?" she whispered against Hermione's lips.
