Hermione refused to answer their questions as they ate. When they were done, she watched them sit back and look at her. “Ok, if you must know, I floo called Pansy. I told her to get any names of reporters from anyone she can get. I will be taking care of them” She grinned wickedly. “After my interview, they won't dare try anything.”

Poppy shook her head. “Sometimes you scare me Hermione.”

Harry grinned at Hermione and they cracked up laughing. Severus, Remus, and Draco soon followed. When the others stared at them in wonder, she shook her head. “Ron says that about me a lot.” Hermione smiled when they all laughed. “Why don't we get some rest. We will see you all in the morning.” They nodded and quickly headed to their rooms. Once in their rooms, she turned to Severus. “I am going to go swim for a bit. Care to join me?”

He nodded and smiled. “For a bit.” They changed and entered the pool room. Severus dove straight in and laughed when she slowly slid into the water. “I told you it's better if you just get in.”

She swam over to him and shrugged. “Force of habit.” She then turned back to the end of the pool. “I'm going to do some laps.”

“Go ahead.” He nodded and swam lazily along the pool while she did laps. He was surprised how well she swam. After a while, he got tired of the lazy swimming and headed for the hot tub.

When she was done swimming, Hermione checked the time and smiled. She headed over to Severus and saw he had fallen asleep. She stepped into the hot tub and gently shook his shoulder. “Severus.”

He opened his eyes and looked at her. “Done already?” He looked out the window and saw how dark it was. “How long was I asleep.”

“I got in 20 leisure laps after you came over here.” Hermione smiled at and held her hand out to him. “Come on, let's get to bed.” He nodded and let her pull him up. “It's been a long week.”

“Yes it has.” He waved his wand over them and quickly cleaned and dried them. “But it was worth it.” Severus slid his arm around her waist. “I am glad I have you to share it with.”

Hermione smiled and let him lead her out and back to their rooms. “I like being with you. Once back in their rooms, she laughed as he pulled back the blankets and flopped onto the bed. He was asleep as soon as he pulled the blankets up. She quickly used her wand to change them into their sleepwear and joined him in bed.

A few days later, they walked their friends to the entrance hall.”We will see you next weekend. Ava will bring our things to Hogwarts as well as my schedule.” Severus smirked when Albus nodded. “Hermione's interview is on Saturday morning so we will be arriving on Friday night before supper.”

“We will have a room ready for the interview.” Minerva smiled at them. “I am looking forward to seeing what happens.”

“I think everyone is.” Severus laughed and grinned at them. “We taught her well didn't we?”

“That you did. I refuse to treat any of them.” Poppy sniffed as they all laughed.

Hermione shook her head and turned to her friends.”You will be there right?”

“Of course! We wouldn't miss it!” Draco grinned at her. “Maybe you will get to use that right hook again.” He smirked when all the adults looked at them in confusion. “Third year I made a comment when they were headed to see the Hyppogriff. She turned and clocked me.”

Hermione smirked as Harry and Severus nodded. “I used to go to the gym with dad. He taught me how to defend myself.”

“Good thing he did! I'm sure it has come in handy a few times.” Filius smiled at her as she nodded. “But, we must go.” He held out the portkey.

Severus pulled her back next to him as they all grabbed hold of the portkey. “We will see you all next weekend.” They nodded and were whisked away. Once they were gone, he smiled down at Hermione. “I have to go to the business district to meet the merchants. You are coming with me. That means you get to wear your tiara.” He grinned at her. “And you get to dress up.”

She grinned. “Our first official outing.”

Severus nodded and sighed. “The first of many.” He led her back to their rooms to change. They quickly changed and headed down to meet Mayla. They were taking a simple carriage down to the district. Once there, they were greeted warmly and the merchants all smiled when they approached their stores.

“Lady Hermione!” A little walked up to her and curtsied. “These are for you!” She held out a small bouquet of orchids, daisies, and poppies. Her blonde curls bounced as she walked.

Hermione smiled as she knelt down to her. “Thank you! They are very pretty. Did you pick these yourself?”

“My momma helped me.” She grinned up at her mom while her dad talked to Severus.

“Well, you picked a very good bouquet. I will put these in a vase when we get home.” Hermione saw Severus smirk at her. “What's your name?”

“Sasha.” The girl smiled at her. “Momma lets me help out in the flower shop sometimes.”

“Such a pretty name. We have to go visit the other shops now. You will be good for your momma won't you?” When the girl nodded, she patted her shoulder. “Good girl. We will be back here over Christmas. Maybe we will come visit town for a bit. You keep being good.”

The girl nodded and waved as the royals headed to the next shop. Hermione carried her bouquet with her. “I like her momma.” Sasha's mom nodded and smiled.

Severus smiled as he looked around town during a stop for lunch. “Everyone seems so nice.”

Mayla laughed. “The merchants here are the biggest supporters of the royal family. They helped finance our search. She smiled as they walked to the next store. “This is my mother Nadine. She runs the bookstore.”

“Bookstore?” Hermione grinned at Severus. “Let's go inside.”

Severus laughed and nodded. “She loves books.” He shrugged when she raised a brow at him. “So do I.”

Hermione smiled as she looked around. “It almost looks like a library!” She ran a hand over the nearest books.

“I tried to organize it like a library. Mayla has learned to speak a few languages by reading the language books.” Nadine smiled at them. “If there is anything you may want, just let me know. I have contacts just about everywhere.”

Severus looked through the muggle literature section. “We were discussing learning Greek. Do you have any beginner's books for that?”

“Not at the moment but I can easily get a good one for you and send it to you.” Nadine smiled when he nodded. “I always research every request to make sure I get the best book for the person. Many of the masters have ordered from here.”

“Mayla was telling me that.” Severus smiled at the woman. “I have spread the word to my fellow contacts about you. I know I have ordered a few myself. Hermione here is working on 3 right now. She is an over achiever.”

Hermione huffed at him and smiled at the woman. “I hate being bored so I will let you know if there are any books I need.”

Nadine nodded and turned back to Severus. “May I ask you something?” when he nodded, she looked around and stepped closer. “Are you really a gifted Occlumens and Legillimens?” When he nodded again, she sighed. “Thank Merlin. The merchants here are very close and we try to protect each other. Especially when they are a muggle. If you ever step foot in the shop and the employees are not at friendly or forthcoming, then something is wrong.”

Severus frowned at her. “What do you mean?” He saw Mayla look around before nodding to her mother to continue.

“There are times that a merchant will be imperioused, polyjuiced, or other such things. She motioned to the shop next door. “He was imperioused because he had something that someone wanted and he refused to sell it to them.”

Severus nodded. “I understand what you are saying.” He smiled. “Spread the word to them about me. I also will ask that you get a few titles to keep and share with them. I will send the list to you. Also, if anything like that does happen, have Mayla get a hold of me. I will come if I can, or send someone who can help.”

“Thank you your highness.” Nadine smiled and bowed her head. “I know you are very knowledgeable in the dark arts as well so it will be very beneficial.” She smiled as he nodded and headed out with Mayla and Hermione.

As they neared the next store, Severus smiled at the man. “I heard you had trouble recently.” When the man nodded slowly, he shook his head. “Don't worry about offending me. I don't trust easily. If I trust someone, know that you can trust them too.”

The man nodded and bowed. “Thank you your highness.” He smiled at Hermione. “My lady.”

Hermione smiled and walked up to him, laying a hand on his arm. “Talk to Nadine. We just gave her some information to share with all of you here. Don't be afraid to contact us if you need help. Even if we are teaching, Mayla knows how to get a hold of us. We will come as soon as we can or send someone we trust to help.” The man nodded and smiled as they headed off to the next shop.

Hermione and Severus visited the rest of the shops with Mayla. She was the perfect guide because of her work with her grandfather. Once back at the castle, Severus smiled at her. “Now, I want you to find a trustworthy photographer and artist. If it can be arranged, I will meet them at the Ministry in 3 days since I will already be there. We will be interviewing people for our counsel.”

Mayla nodded and wrote everything down. “Along with an artist and photographer, should I also look for a healer?” She smiled at them.

“That would be an excellent idea.” Severus smirked as Hermione grinned. “One that is trained in all aspects of medi-wizardry and muggle healing. Also, knowledgeable with children since we will someday have some children.”

Hermione nodded. “Preferably someone who can travel when needed. “We also asked Poppy for names so you can work with her on that.”

Mayla nodded. “I will have my list to you the night before.” She smiled at them. When will you be going back?”

“We will be going back on Saturday night. I want to get everything settled and decided by then.” Severus smiled as they reached the entrance hall. “Do you think you will be able to get everything by then?”

“Oh yes!” Mayla smiled at him. “We have people for just about every professions. I myself have contacts for the merchants, father has contacts for press and government, and grandfather is good with the history and other stuff. Just leave it to us.” She held up a hand as she turned to leave. “Oh! I almost forgot! I have worked things out with Karina so that when she comes to you I will come with her with progress reports. I also have requested a permanent port key to use in case I need to get you in an emergency.”

“Excellent.” Severus smiled at her. “I think that is all for now then.” He turned to see Hermione nod. “I guess we shall see you in a few days then.” The woman nodded and headed off. He led Hermione to their sitting room. “So, what shall we do until supper?”

Hermione smiled and sat down next to him on the couch. “I think we should just stay right here. I want to just be with you.” She laughed when he pushed her down and rolled them so they were facing each other on their sides. “This will work too.”

“That's what I thought.” He shifted to lay on his back and pulled her to lay half on top of him. “Just rest love.” He smiled when she nodded and lay her head on his shoulder.

“Severus, are you ready to go back to work?” She slid her hand down to hold his at his waist. “I am but I'm not.”

He chuckled. “I would miss teaching if I were to stay here but right now, I want to get the stuff done here. I have been thinking about what you said during our dance.”

“Oh?” Hermione pulled back to look at him. “What did you decide?”

He smiled and pushed her head back down. “I will wear colors instead of a white shirt under my robes. On days where no brewing will be going on, I will wear regular robes. I am going to slowly change things though. Also, I think that if I am needed, you can take over the Potions classes or we can ask Karina to come and take over if both of us would be useful.” He smirked when she looked back up at him. “I already discussed it with her and she has agreed to it. So has Albus.”

She smiled and lay her head back down. “My fiance the genius.” She laughed when he shook his head. “You may be busy like during the war but this time you will have help.”

“That is true.” He smiled and looked down at her. “I love you Hermione, have I said that lately?” When she looked up and shook her head, he grinned. “Liar.”

She sat up and moved to lean over him. “I never get tired of hearing you say it, even though you say it almost every day. I love you too Severus.” She leaned down to kiss him, gasping in surprise when he pulled her completely on top of him. “And you say I'm the imp.”

“I'm the king. I can do what I want.” Severus smirked and slid his hands up under her shirt to her shoulders. “And right now, I want to kiss your breath away.” He pulled her down and proceeded to do just that.

After supper, they settled into their rooms and enjoyed a few games of chess and some more wedding planning. They headed to bed with light thoughts. By the time arrived for them to return to Britain, Severus had everything settled. “Len, Analisa, you know where to find us. You can also floo and have Ava get me.”

Hermione nodded. “And if an absolute emergency, you you can get the headmaster and he will get us.”

Analisa nodded. “I have the floo addresses listed. Len's is on a cord around his neck.”

Len nodded. “We will do as you wish Master Severus.”

Hermione gave the woman a hug. “Let us know when your daughter gives birth. We will send her a gift.” The woman nodded and she stepped back to take Severus's hand. “Take it easy.” they nodded and the portkey took them away.

Severus sighed when they reappeared at the gates to Hogwarts. “Back to the daily grind.”

Hermione laughed as he opened the gates and led her in. “Did Karina teach you that one?” When he nodded, she shook her head. “Hi Hagrid!” the man was just coming out of the forest.

The man nodded to them as he joined them on the way to the school. “Perfessor, Ermione. Glad you made it back. Have a good summer?”

“We did.” Severus grinned at him. “If you can swing it, I am in need of your services tomorrow after lunch. Could you come to my office then?”

Hagrid was shocked. “Of course Perfessor! I will be there.” He turned toward his hut as they continued on to the school. “Odd.” He saw Albus walking away from his hut. “Ello Perfessor. Just saw Perfessor Snape and Ermione. Something seems a bit off with him.”

Albus nodded. “I had just come to warn you about him. He has been making changes in his life and will seem a little different each time he comes back. But we don't want to make a big deal about it. Just treat him like normal.”

Hagrid nodded. “Ok Perfessor. He did look happier to me. Even smiled at me.”

Albus smiled and nodded. “That's good Hagrid. I must be off now.” He headed back to the school.

Once the new school year started off, the students didn't know what to expect. Hermione was with him the first time he took points from Slytherin. The students all stared at him in shock. They had been on their way to lunch when they came across 2 students fighting. “Severus, that was perfect.”

He nodded as they headed to their seats. “It actually felt pretty good.” He laughed as he sat down.

“What did you do, make a first year cry?” Remus looked over at him with a grin.

“He took points from Slytherin.” Hermione grinned at their faces. “He did!” The students all stared as the staff around the couple laughed. He was smiling and nodding. She whispered to him. “Don't stop now. The students are in shock.”

He smirked and raised her hand to kiss it. “Of course they are.” He turned to Remus and smiled. “You are going to be the best man aren't you?”

Remus stared at him in shock. “Me?” When the man nodded, he grinned. “Heck yeah! I'll be glad to! Who else will be in it?”

“Draco and Pansy for me.” Severus looked at Hermione and saw her nod. “Ginny, Harry, and Luna for her. You will be opposite Ginny.”

“Wow, what a group.” Albus shook his head and looked around. “It seems that you have the students confused Severus.”

“Good, it keeps them on their toes.” He smirked at the man. “I am surprised that I haven't had to take more points off yet.”

Remus laughed. “that's because Ronald, Neville, and some others aren't here anymore.” He nudged Hermione's arm. “I actually heard some 6^th years talking about it. They are waiting for Severus to snap and completely lose it or go all Bellatrix on them”

Severus barked out a laugh. Well then, I guess it's working.” He shook his head and returned to his tea, pausing when an owl flew in. “Owl post this late?” He watched it land in front of him. “”Shit.” He took the letter as Hermione fed it and quickly read it. His face turned white. “Albus? My plans are on my desk.”

“What is it? One or both of you?” He took the letter and nodded. “We will take care of it. Once Karina gets here, I will show her to your office.” He handed the letter back to the man.

Hermione frowned. “What happened?” She quickly finished her food and stood up with him. They raced out of the room and down to his rooms.

“Sasha's dad was taken. They requested both of us or they kill him.” Severus frowned as they quickly packed. He grabbed his crown and they headed for the entrance hall. Once outside the gates, they took out the portkey and disappeared. They quickly changed to royal clothes and put their crown and Tiara on before apperating to the flower shop. Mayla was waiting for them.

While Severus headed over to where Mayla was with the Mayor, Hermione turned to the woman and child. “We will find him.” She gave the woman a hug and looked down at the girl. “What's the matter little one?”

Sasha had a hold of her teddy bear and was crying. “Will my daddy be ok?”

“Come here.” Hermione sat her on her lap and smiled. “We will do our best to find him and bring him back. He may be sick or he may be fine. We won't know until we find him. Will you be a strong girl for your mommy if he is hurt or sick?”

“I can be strong. I can help mommy take care of him if he needs it.” She gave Hermione a hug and jumped down to go to her mom.

Severus came over to them. “I talked to the mayor and the witness. I am going with the aurors since I saw the face in the witness's memory. I want you to stay here in case there are accomplices.”

Hermione sighed and nodded before kissing him quickly. “Be careful.” He nodded and followed the aurors out.

Mayla sighed. “I hate feeling so useless. What can we do while we wait?” She sat down behind the counter and slowly ran her hands through the girls hair. Sasha was laying on the counter. “How did they get him while he was closing up?”

Hermione turned to the woman. “Why don't we go over the wards and see if there is something we can do to prevent this.” The woman nodded and the ladies got to work.

It was late when Severus and the aurors returned.. They were tired, dirty, and had scratches and cuts all over. Severus smiled as Hermione pulled him into a hug. “I'm fine. We got an accomplice and know where he is.” He turned to Sasha's mom. “He is alive. They want to ransom but we will get them before they try anything.”

The woman nodded and clasped his hand. “Thank you!”

He nodded and smiled. “I want to take care of my people. Will you two be ok overnight?”

“Yes your highness. We will be staying with my sister for the night.” She smiled and helped her daughter up. “Thank you so much!”

Severus nodded and motioned everyone out so she could lock up. He turned to the aurors. “I want 2 of you to stay with the family. Take shifts.” They quickly decided who to stay with the family and the others headed off.

Hermione smiled at Sasha. “Remember, be strong so you can help your parents. We will bring him home soon.” She was rewarded with a smile before the ladies headed off.

Mayla shook her head. “Sorry about the owl. It was the only thing near me at the time so I sent it through the floo.”

“It's fine. You did what you had to do.” Severus looked at her. “You can go home. It may take a day or 2 but we know where he is. W will get them and bring him home.”

Mayla nodded. “Thanks.” She headed off.

Hermione sighed and took his hand. “Let's get you to the castle.” She apperated them to their home.

Two days later, Sasha's dad was rescued. He was bruised, beaten, and hungry but he was ok. Hermione had gone with Severus and the aurors to retrieve him. It was a good thing she had gone because she was able to sneak past the fighting to get him out of the cell they had him in. Once out of there, she was able to fight off any attacks until they could regroup and get him home. She and Severus were being praised by the aurors for their teamwork and skills. When they returned to Hogwarts the following day, she thought about what they would tell anyone of asked. “Severus, what do we tell people when stuff like this happens?”

He shrugged. “Say it was potions related. Since I am the top Potions expert in Europe, many people ask me for help when there is a problem. Occasionally I will have to leave town for it.” He led her to his office and fire called Albus to let him know they were back. At supper, they learned what all they had missed.

Hermione laughed when Remus told them about a Ravenclaw that ended up with antlers and had to go to Poppy. “I wish I had seen that.”

“Me too.” He sighed as he looked out over the students. “I'm going to do something different. I want to see what happens when I pair the students up with one from another house.”

“Good luck with that!” Remus laughed as the others shook their heads.

A month later, Severus was grinning at the head table. The students were sitting with other houses. “It worked!”

Pomona shook her head. “I didn't think it would work as well as it has. Even some of the Slytherins are getting along with some Gryffindors. It helped with house unity.” She smiled at him. “It should make for an interesting Halloween dance.”

Minerva nodded. And since there is a theme this year, it will be interesting to see what happens.” She turned to Severus and Hermione. “I take it that you two will not reveal your animal costumes?”

“You will see them when we get here.” Severus smirked at her. When Remus smirked at him, he glared. And no we are not going as bats.”

Remus laughed. “That's good to know.” He shook his head and returned to his dinner.

That weekend, Karina visited to go over the styles wanted for the wedding party. She stayed in Hermione's rooms since Hermione pretty much stayed in Severus's rooms. Severus shook his head when he exited the floo. They were looking through the pictures of mens robes. “Trying to decide what I will be wearing?”

Hermione grinned at him. “We were trying to guess what we thought you will pick.” She stood up so he could sit down. “Did you decide?”

He nodded. I have made a decisions.” He pulled out a piece of parchment and handed it to Karina. “I don't like any of them but I like aspects of some.”

Hermione grinned and kissed him lightly before straightening. “I will leave you to it then. Karina, make sure his pants are well fitted to him. I like him looking regal and when I can see his backside.” She laughed when he choked on his tea. “Just as long as the jacket covers it. I'm the only one to see that view.”

Severus shook his head as she sat down at the desk and read her book. He turned to Karina and watched her look through the pictures. “Do you think those are doable?”

“Of course!” She tapped the first list of ideas he liked. “Is this for you or them?”

“That is for mine. The second list is for them.” He looked over at Hermione. “Who is wearing what color?”

She shrugged. “What colors were we going to use?” She came over and sat in the chair near them so she couldn't see what Karina was drawing. I say stick with the royal colors of green, blue, and burgundy.”

“I will have some green on so no green for them.” He frowned as he thought about it. “Draco will look terrible in burgundy.”

“Ok, so maybe a deep burgundy for Ginny and Remus.” Hermione nodded as she though tit out. “The others in Navy.?”

Severus nodded. “That will work.” He turned to Karina and looked over the sketches so far. “Don't forget my sword.”

Hermione laughed. “He loves that sword.”

“I'm not surprised.” Karina added some colors to the sketches and showed Severus. “How is that?” When he nodded, she put the sketchbook away. “Now, I need measurements and can do that tomorrow. Show me around.” they laughed and got up. The next day, they took her to get the measurements of the others. Then she headed home.

The day of the Halloween dance, Hermione was in her bedroom getting ready when she heard her floo activate. “I will be right out!” She finished putting her hair up and joined Severus in the sitting room. “Well?” She spun in a circle.

Severus grinned at her. “You look amazing.” He turned in a slow circle. “Is this pretty good?”

She nodded and smoothed a hand over his black wing. “You make a perfect raven.”

He smiled and ran a hand through her flaming hair. “And you make an excellent phoenix.” As they headed through the halls, they joked about an entrance. “I will go first. Then you come in.” She nodded and he opened the doors and entered. She heard all sound stop when he stepped into the room. She smiled and swept into the room, taking his hand and headed for the Headmaster.

Albus chuckled as he walked around her. 'We may have to call you Fawkes the 2^nd.” He turned to Severus. “We were expecting a snake or something worse from you.”

“Never.” Severus smirked at them. “I like shocking them.” He smiled as Hermione linked her arm through his. “I am starting to enjoy the idea of costumes.”

Hermione laughed. “Maybe you just needed the right motivation for it.” She smiled when he nodded and kissed her quickly. “Maybe Greece helped a bit.”

Poppy nodded in agreement. “I think your time away did help quite a bit. You seem more relaxed.”

“We figured out a plan.” Severus grinned at them. “I will be slowly changing things here so that by the time the wedding comes, it will be an almost seamless transition of the 2 worlds.” He shrugged. “I like my life there. It's very happy and free.”

“You deserve it.” Poppy patted his arm and headed off. Albus and Minerva soon followed.

Severus turned to Hermione as a slow song started and held his hand out. She nodded and let him lead her out to the dance floor. He surprised the students by smiling the whole time.

Hermione smiled through out the entire evening. Severus held her hand as they did rounds, smiled when they danced, and he even rested his arm around her when standing or sitting. “Severus, I'm proud of you.” She smiled at him as they sat at a table and enjoyed their juice.

He squeezed her hand and smiled. “I'm getting used to it.” He laughed and leaned in close. “Just don't expect me to snog you in public.”

She laughed. “I wouldn't let you anyway.” She set her cup down as he finished his. “Rounds.”

He smiled and stood up pulling her up with him. “I won't snog you but you will let me kiss you.” When she nodded, he leaned in for a light kiss.” He looked around at the students they passed. “I see any more than that from any of you and I will be owling parents and you will have detentions. Got it?” The students nodded and scattered.

Hermione was giggling when he turned back to her with a grin. “At least you didn't tell them they couldn't kiss.”

He shrugged and led her back out and around the room. “I can't punish them for something I do.” He smirked at her. “And I do like doing it.” When they found no students, he pulled her out for another dance. “I also plan on doing it an awful lot.” He kissed her quickly again.

She smiled as they danced. “Good, because I like it too.”

As they watched Severus, Minerva smiled next to Albus. “He really is happy now.”

“Yes, he is.” Albus patted her shoulder. “He deserved something like what he found in Greece. He has deserved so much more than what he got here.” They watched the couple dancing. “I have a feeling things will get very interesting when his 2 lives merge.”

“Indeed.” Minerva smiled as the couple joined them for a drink. “Why don't the 2 of you cut out early. You are always here late. Have some fun.” When they finished their drink and headed back out to the dance floor, she shook her head. “Sometimes I see him reverting back to how he was when Lily stood by him in school.”

“As have I.” Albus watched them thoughtfully. “I believe I know what he could use for Christmas.”

Minerva nodded. “Same here.”

A loud commotion was suddenly heard by the main entrance. 2 boys were arguing about something. A girl was nearby trying to separate them. As wands were drawn, the students were surprised yet again by their Potions Master and his apprentice.

“Expelliarmus!” “Stupefy!”

Severus and Hermione stood side by side with their wands aimed at the boys. Hermione held their wands in her other hand. She stormed up to them with a glare. “I'm ashamed of both of you! You are supposed to be prefects and models to the younger students!” She stepped right up to the taller boy and got in his face. “Your sister is only a year younger than you. You need to put your house rivalries aside and let her make her own friends.”

Hermione motioned to the other boy and Severus released him from his spell. “You have been studying with her every weekend. Has he threatened you before?”

“Yes.” He glared at the boy. “He doesn't believe we are just friends.”

The girl frowned and stepped up beside him. “My brother thinks that Will here is only after one thing.” She glared at her brother. “He forgets that he's the one working his way through the girls.”

Severus raised his brow and looked at Albus. The man motioned to Hermione to carry on. He turned to the brother and released his spell on him. “Is this true?” The boy shook his head but didn't look up.”Don't lie to me boy! Tell the truth!”

“Yes!” He glared at his sister. “That doesn't matter. She is supposed to listen to me. The girl is supposed to do as the boy says.”

Hermione laughed evilly. “Anyone who believes that drivel is an idiot. You know who I am. I can out duel almost anyone here, minus a few of the professors.” She walked up to him with a death glare. “You forget who trained you. Women are not slaves to men. If anything, women are stronger than men. Ask your mother who gave birth to you, who carried you for 9 months while your father went out working.”

Severus pulled the boy towards the door. “Detention with Filch for a week. Your parents will be notified. A man never treats a woman like she is below him. That is unacceptable behavior.”

Hermione turned to the other bay and the girl, motioning them to the hall. “Are you two alright? Did her hurt either of you?”

The girl shook her head. “He threatened both of us before but tonight he just lost it. My dad won't care about what happened. If he comes, he will say you are being too harsh on him.”

“He will be handled if he does.” Hermione smiled at them. “Now, I think you two should return to the dorms. I know you will just worry the rest of the night so do you know of anyone else who may try anything?” They looked up as Severus rejoined them.

“Yes.” The girl frowned at her. “The boy from Slytherin that hangs out with my brother. She wrapped her arms around herself. “He hit on me the other day saying my brother would be fine with it. When I refused, he tried to force me.”

“What? When? You never told me that!” The boy frowned and pulled her into a hug as she cried.

Severus growled as he watched. “take her to the common room. And elf will bring some tea with a calming drought. I want you both to drink it.” When they nodded and headed off, he shook his head. “The boy she is talking about is the son of a death eater.” He frowned at her. “If she got away from him once, he may be more forceful the next time he tries.”

Hermione gasped at the thought. “I think we should talk to Albus.” He nodded and they headed back to the dance.
