"For Hunter, once he had been fully trained is when the most danger will be present."
"Because, once he's been fully trained, if he were so inclined, he could kill someone with a single thought, Or word."
"Yes. With the proper motivation...fear, fury, pain, he need only think of the one causing him those feelings and..." he broke off gave a shrug.
"BY THE GODS!" James gasped, his eyes going wide.
Rohan raised his hands in a placating manner.. "Let's not panic--"
"Not panicking, Rohan. I just never thought that my precious baby boy would grow up to have that kind of power. Or Harry, for that matter,"
"Harry, at least, has had some training, but is not necessarily as strong as Hunter. It's when they decide to link that the problems get much worse."
"So, what do I need to do in order to protect my sons?"
"Get Hunter trained, get them BOTH trained, and I think, as much as I know you hate the idea, you need to contact Albus Dumbledore. You're going to need help with their magic, and he can recommend someone, or several someones, who will be able to teach them what they will need to know."
"You will also need to sit down with Harry and Hunter, explain all of this to them, WITH-OUT scaring them half to death. As soon as I talk care of a few thing on Caldonia, I'll be back."
"Same. As soon as I've got things settled on Elendia, I'll leave Brady in charge and come back to help Aidyn."
"Sounds good, I'll talk to Albus tonight."
"Don't tell him any more than you have to, Uncle. If he finds out about this, he will try to use the boys for his own gain. We thought he was bad with Grindelwald? He's even worse about about Riddle...or Voldemort, whatever you want to call him, and if he should ever decide Hunter and Hadrian were threats? Gods help them."
James shook his head. "I know Voldemort is extreme in his use of dark, or even black magic, but still, haven't they both realized you can not have one without the other?"
"I doubt that they care, and ever since that Prophecy got out about a confrontation between Voldemort and two of great power, born when the seventh month dies," Corvus shook his head. "I wish we knew, or could find out what the rest of the Prophecy is, but Albus won't tell any of us, and the Seer who gave it has been hidden away in some secret location."
"What we need to do is to get into the Hall of Prophecy." Thorin grumbled.
James shook his head. "Only those that have a Prophecy about then can enter there, and as much as I want to know what the damn thing says, I'm not endangering Harry OR Hunter just to find out. Voldemort has already tried a few timed to get to my boys. I am NOT giving him a free shot by taking them any where near the Hall."
"Corvus, I know you and Tom Riddle were friends--"
"ARE friends, Thorin," Corvus corrected. "We are friends."
"Has he said anything about going after Harry and Hunter?"
"No, he hasn't. Granted, he's not exactly been himself lately."
"What do you mean he hasn't been himself?
"He's become irrational about some things, gets angry at any perceived slight, there's more but I haven't been able to put a finger too it. None of us who are close to him can, but we're not giving up."
"Hum..." Aidyn sat forward in his chair.
"Aidyn? What are you thinking nephew?"
"Something that is a bit insane, but may be plausible if the person doing the spell work needed is powerful enough. Or a Potions Master who could make the potions that would be needed to do it."
"What do you mean? Do WHAT?"
"Tampering. It is entirely possible he may have been tampered with. Magically, or with potions, maybe even both. Corvus," he turned his head to look at him, saw he had gone a bit pale. "DO you think, when you return to Calseres, do you think you can make a note of all the changes you see that is not normal behavior for him?"
"Yes. You really think Tom's been tampered with?"
"From what little you have told us about him? I think it may be possible. I want to do some research, that's why I need to know what the changes are."
He nodded. "Consider it done, but...If he HAS been tampered with, how do we fix it?"
"That's what I'm going to research. Tell Riddle what we've just talked about, maybe he can look at things on his end,"
Corvus nodded. "I'll give him a call tonight."
Aidyn suddenly turned his head, a frown appearing on his brow as his eyes locked on Christian. "What's going on Chris? Your mind is like a rolling, boiling mass of chaos."
"What do you think of a betrothal between Rodolphus and Hunter?"
