"Burn those!" came the sudden, very sharp order.
They all turned their heads toward the speaker of that sharp order, even Severus, who arched a brow at him. "Taylor?"
"Roark, Hadrian, if you really want to keep them safe from anyone ever finding out who...and WHAT they are, if you value their lives as much as I think you do, you will destroy those."
Roark immediately grabbed the file and both notes, moved the fireplace where a low fire burned, and threw them in. The fire flared around file and paper, eating at both until there was nothing left. He turned to look at Taylor, who gave a nod.
"Do you have any more of those little notes in your office?" he asked him.
Roark shook his head. "No. We brought everything we got from them home. The first few sectars {months} we were here, our office wasn't as secure as we would have liked. We were constantly being searched by our leaks for any information we may have left lying around."
"And it isn't now?"
A chuckle had everyone looking over at Harry. "No," he told them, "it isn't now. When we said our office was secure, we meant it. After those that were searching came into contact with a few of Raphael's little...surprises," a round of laughter sounded as they all knew all too well about Raphael and his little surprises. "They finally gave up."
No surprise THAT was. Raphael's little...surprises could, in fact, be very unpleasant, and sometimes very painful. He wasn't a weapons and defensive specialist for nothing.
"Did YOU know it was them?" Kili asked his cousin.
He shook his head. "No, Ki. Like you and everyone else, I knew there were informants in place, but not who they were, and I never suspected they had actually placed an undercover Counter-Intelligence team in place."
"Given just how serious they were taking Tom Riddle then, we should have known they would."
"Should have, could have, would have." Greyson began. He would have gone on, but Logan suddenly burst into laughter.
"Just WHAT, Logan, is so damned funny?" Roan demanded of his second-to-youngest brother.
"The note to Roark," he gasped, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes. "He said he'd be back tonight, to teach him how to use those knives he gave him," blue eyes still sparkling with laughter barely contained, he looked over at his best friend, whose lips were already twitching.
"Boys?"
"He has no idea, Aiden, that Roark has been taking extra defensive and offensive training courses with Raph."
"Well then, I'd say he's going to be in for a very big surprise, wouldn't you?" a sound of agreement had Roark looking at his brother. "Rabastan said the same?"
Harry smirked. "Fuck, Rory, this is going to be so much fun when they come for us tonight."
"Isn't it though," came his chuckled response to his brother's words.
They were all suddenly laughing, the Durins, one and all, realizing just what the Peverell Potter brothers had in store for their lovers. "Oh, to be a fly on the wall for the shows that are going to be put on tonight."
"Forget fly on the wall," came Roan's amusement-rich voice, feeling truly amused for the first time since Gareth's death. "I'd like to be the one to sell tickets to the main event. Drinks and snacks supplied. Those two are going to have no idea what hit them."
That brought another round of laughter.

They all arrived at Headquarters just over an centar {hour} later to find Zac, Apollo, Morgan, Charlie, Bill, and Bill's partner, Samuel, waiting for them in the conference room, talking with Ardyn. They looked up as the door slid open.
"Good morning," Roark said with a warm smile at his Uncles, at Morgan, and the eldest two Weasley brothers.
"Sorry we're late," Harry spoke up, coming in behind his brother. "We overslept. Those sedatives Sebastien gave us last night were a lot stronger than he said they were. We didn't even stir awake until nearly ten hundred."
"Not a problem. You two needed to get some sleep," Zac said as he got to his feet, moving to hug each of them. "I think you're right about Ardyn," he murmured into Roark's ear. "And what's worse, so do Bill and Charlie," he drew back as Apollo appeared at his side.
"WELL," he said, "you certainly LOOK better," he told him as he drew free of his hug to study him. "You slept the whole night? No dreams? No waking up?"
"Yes to both of those and woke up this morning feeling better than I have in a a long time. I even snarled at Logan when his com call woke me."
Harry chuckled. "Yeah, so did I, and before either of you ask," Harry went on quickly. "We probably would have slept a couple more centars {hours} if Logan's call hadn't woken us."
Their Uncles let out hearty laughter, throwing their heads back as behind them, Bill and Charlie began to chuckle. Harry and Roark looked at each of them, their brows arching, arms coming up to cross over their chests, chuckles escaping from them as well, Ardyn looking on with a frown.
"Just WHAT, may I ask, is so damned funny?" he demanded of them all.
"It's become a running joke that if Harry and Roark were EVER late for any of their early morning classes, which, by the way, wasn't often; it was because they had overslept, both of them having stayed up half the night studying."
"They always worked so much harder than anyone else, getting all the required work done and turned in on time, even some extra credit class works were handed in. Many of their Instructors just let it slide with no comment, but there were those few hard-nosed ones who would lecture them about sleeping so late on the few days they DID.
The brothers shook their heads. "All too true," Harry spoke up with a smile. "I do feel better for having slept all night, and there is no grogginess to speak of, so that's a good thing,"
And with that said, let's all take seats," Roark said, moving to the table and taking the nearest seat. "I've got a list of things I'd like everyone to get a start on today. I don't much care who does what, except for Logan and Kili." He turned to them. "I'd like for the two of you to continue your work on where those new drug dens are. Fi, Damien, Percy, Ron, I'd like the four of you to give them a hand,"
"No problem, Rory," Damien told him with barely a grimace. He hated working with Percy Weasley, who had this whole I know better attitude, always demanding things be done his way because it was the best way.
Even though it more often than not, wasn't. Then there was Ron, and his constant talking of how he was Harry Peverell Potter's best friend, that they had had some great adventures at Hogwarts, which he may have been at one time, but Harry had grown up, Ron still acted the same.
"Aiden, I would like for you to build yourself a team and set to work on those new Pleasure Houses we heard about last night. Grey, I need you to do the same, only I want you to work on the incoming and outgoing shipments."
They both nodded, thinking to themselves that Roark had really come into his own by being in command here. He studied, and thought things through, making sure he had all the facts available before issuing any orders.
"We'll get right on that."
"Severus, where are you, Sebastien, and Robin on those drug samples we got our hands on?"
"We've had a few small breakthroughs, but we're still working on them. I've managed to work out the combination of ingredients, but we're still having trouble with their measuring formula...how much of each they use. I won't be able to come up with any kind of counter until I do."
"What if they aren't using any kind of measuring formula?" came as if he weren't even thinking about it, which he wasn't. That thought had just popped into his head, and he had spoken before he knew he had.
"WHAT?!" came from three startled men, midnight, dark blue, and aquamarine eyes widening.
Harry's head came up to look over at his brother in surprise. "Is that what you think, Roark? That they're just throwing things together to see what results they may get?"
Roark looked up. "It's possible, isn't it?"
"However unlikely," Severus said slowly, thoughtfully. "THAT is a very dangerous way to work. Some ingredients may not react well to others. The possibility of something going drastically wrong would be...unthinkable."
"We're talking about Tom Riddle. You think he cares one wit about the people who work for him than he does anyone else?"
"No. As a matter of fact, I KNOW he doesn't care. If someone is killed in the act of doing what he was told, there's always someone else to take his place."
"That's going to make things much harder," Robin told them. "IF they ARE just throwing things, and amounts together..."
Three men groaned, but then they sat up, a new gleam in their eyes as they pushed to their feet. "Excuse us, Rory, boys." They all but ran from the room to get down to the lab.
"I swear," Desmond said with a chuckle. "Sometimes I think you do that on purpose."
Roark's head slowly turned to him, his lips twitching. "Me?" he asked with the most innocent look he could muster.
That brought another round of laughter.
