Chapter 9
The next morning Sev and Harry got ready for the Weasley’s Christmas party. They were going over in the morning and would open presents and would stay till lunch. Then they would come back to Hogwarts and have dinner with the remaining students and the staff. Harry was also excited as Draco and Blaise were going to be there and neither knew of the babies or the pregnancy. He was startled when he felt his husband wrap an arm around him.
“Are you ready to go?” Severus asked his spouse. He couldn’t wait to see the reactions to the news that they were having twins.
“Yeah. You got all the presents?” Harry asked.
“I shrunk them and put them all in this bag.” Severus said as he led his husband to the fireplace so they could floo to the Burrow. All they had to do was wait for Remus and Sirius, who just walked through the door. Severus went first out of habit, to catch Harry when he came through, but his husband didn’t need the help.
When they were all there they walked into the sitting room and greeted their family with hugs and were surprised at the number of people who touched the bump of Harry’s stomach. They were all sitting down opening presents when the front door opened.
Everyone looked up and were shocked to see Ron and Hermione standing there. The two had left the family and had been living with Percy when the family stood behind Harry and Severus.
“Um…we just thought we would stop by and see how things were going with the family.” Ron said as though they hadn’t been gone for two years.
“Actually we wanted to apologize for the way we treated everyone. We were wrong and realized that yesterday when we found this.” Hermione said holding out a photo album of the Golden Trio she had created when they were in school. Looking at Harry she said, “We were your best friends and turned our backs on you. You have no idea how sorry we are for that, we may not have liked your spouse, but we didn’t really give him a chance either. Can you forgive us?” She asked looking hopefully at Harry.
“I don’t think things with ever go back to the way things were, I don’t know if we can ever be best friends again, but I am willing to try just being friends.” He really did want to be friends with them again, but also wanted Molly to have some of her children back. He didn’t want to think about what it would be like to have one of his twins not talking to him. He knew he had done the right thing when Sev wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close.
Hermione smiled at them and the two joined the group on the floor and ended up sitting right next to the Malfoys. Her and Ron could both see how their old Potions Professor loved their friend and were happy for the two, now that they could see past their prejudices. To show they were serious about this they greeted them in a friendly manner and the present opening resumed.

When it came time for Molly and Arthur to open their presents from Harry and Severus Harry could hardly sit still. He looked at his husband and almost groaned when he saw the smirk on his face.
Molly opened hers first and was surprised to find some pink baby cloths for a baby of about six months or bigger.
“We knew you two would want to have the baby some time and decided it would be practical to have some things here for it.” Harry explained.
It was then four heads whipped around and at the same time said, “BABY!” Ron, Hermione, Blaise, and Draco all laughed when they realized what they had done.
“Yes baby, Harry is pregnant and due in four months.” Severus said while smiling.
Everyone was a little shocked to see him smile, but knew he was happy about the baby.
“So it’s a girl then.” Molly said as Arthur began opening his present. They all gasped when he pulled out the blue baby cloths.
“Actually, it’s twins.” Harry said while watching everyone’s reactions. “This means you can lay off Sirius and Remus about children as you are getting the two you wanted.”
“Well, we just found out yesterday, but she is getting one from us as well.” Sirius said while wrapping his arm around Remus. “We wondered why Remus didn’t transform during the last full moon and went to Poppy. He is about a month along and won’t transform until six months after the baby is born.” Sirius said with a big smile on his face.
Harry got up and gave his godfather and Remus a hug and wished them congratulations. Soon enough they were back to celebrating Christmas and Molly was hounding Draco and Blaise and Ron and Hermione as to when she could expect children from them.

That night Remus, Sirius, Severus, and Harry all went back to Hogwarts and were eating dinner with the rest of the staff and students. It was then they saw a purple light of a spell flying at Harry and Remus. Severus and Sirius acted quicker than they ever remembered doing. Severus pulled Harry out of his chair and into his lap while putting his arms around him and hands over his abdomen. He looked over at Sirius to see he had done the same thing with Remus and was protecting the baby.
Looking up they saw Alex with his wand out and Cody standing next to him. Severus stood and walked over to the two of them. “What spell was that?” He seethed, not seeing Sirius come up behind him.
“Just a prank that would have given them the stomach flue. Nothing serious.” Cody said, thinking it was just a little prank.
Severus was too furious for words, but Sirius wasn’t, “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE? HAD YOU HIT THEM WITH THAT SPELL IT WOULD HAVE COST BOTH OF THEM TO LOSE THE CHILDREN THEY ARE CARRYING. THAT IS THREE MURDERS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ON YOUR HANDS.” He said while glaring at the two boys. Sure they hadn’t known about Remus, but they knew Harry was pregnant.
At hearing that this could have killed their babies the two men paled immensely and their hands were instantly placed protectively over their stomachs.
“Sorry, we didn’t know it would do that.” Alex said with tears in his eyes. He really didn’t know that could happen.
“There is a reason I asked for Mr. Potter-Snape to be warned and now I will ask those of you here and will ask the students when they return to warn Mr. Lupin-Black as well.” Albus said while glaring at the boys, thensmiling at Remus, it was then his brain caught up. “Three murders?”
“Yes, Harry is having twins.” Severus said finally finding his voice.
That said he and Sirius walked over to their still stunned husbands and led them from the hall. They could see it would be best if the two were to relax.

Severus immediately took Harry into their bedroom and laid him on the bed. He then went to his side of the bed and climbed in pulling his husband to him.
“Could that have really caused me to loose the babies Severus?” This thought had been terrifying him since he had found out
“I’m afraid so love.” Severus knew Harry was scared now. He knew Harry and Remus hadn’t known about this before as the two were never ones to play pranks that would make others suffer.
He was surprised when he heard his husband muttering something and looked to see him running scans on the babies.
“I just wanted to make sure they were ok.” Harry said looking at his husband.
“And?”
“The spell didn’t hit and they are fine.” Harry smiled when he heard a sigh of relief.
“You know we can’t keep calling them they.” Severus said deciding to try and distract his husband.
“I know.” Harry said as he yawned and soon drifted off to sleep.

Sirius led his husband into their sitting room where he forced him to sit while he made some hot chocolate for him. He knew Remus loved the stuff, and this would be the best way to calm him down.
When the two were seated with their hot chocolate Remus looked up and said, “We almost lost it didn’t we.”
“No, I wouldn’t have let anything happen to the baby.” Sirius said while taking Remus into his arms to comfort him. He was about to continue talking when he heard a knock on their door.
He was surprised when James and Lily walked in with Mitch. They had given Mitch the password and knew that was how they had gotten in.
“How are you guys doing.” James asked, feeling bad his sons almost caused so much grief.
“We’re ok since the baby is ok.” Sirius said while looking at his once friend.
“We went to check on Harry, but no one answered, and Mitch didn’t know the new password.” Lily said.
“That’s right they changed it. They are probably asleep right now anyways. Harry gets tired easily, carrying twins and all.” Remus said looking up.
James looked at his friend and saw just how tired he looked and decided it would be best if he and his family left so Remus could get some sleep. He didn’t want to cause anymore problems with the baby.
Saying goodnight he ushered his family out the door.
