Summery: Hermione is being targeted by an evil that hasn’t set foot on earth in over a thousand years. Now, she must be protected. What happens when she and her protector fall in love? R/R
Chapter 8
November passed. Extra security was added to help protect Severus. It was now a week before Christmas. Hermione and her friends had explained about the Christmas holiday and it’s traditions to Anakin. He found the holiday quite intriguing. He was actually thinking of getting Hermione a gift of some kind. The last weekend before the term let out, there was a Hogsmeade trip. Anakin had arranged everything with Harry and Draco.
“Hermione, I need your help. I want to get the perfect gift for Ernie, but don’t know what to get him.” Ginny said.
“All right. Anakin, will you be all right with these two?” Hermione asked as she pointed to Harry and Draco.
“I’ll be fine. You have fun and be careful.” Anakin answered.
Hermione and Ginny nodded. Anakin followed Draco and Harry into a nearby shop. They led Anakin over to the jewelry section. There, Anakin saw every type of jewelry imaginable.
“Now, what are you thinking about exactly?” Draco asked.

“I think it’s perfect.” Anakin smiled.
“Can I help you?” The sales clerk asked.
“Yes ma’am, how much is that necklace?” Harry asked.
“Oh, that’s a lovely choice. That one is 20 Galleons.” The clerk said.
“We’ll take it.” Harry replied.
“Is there anything you want engraved on it?” She questioned.
“Anakin? Is there?” Draco asked.
Anakin nodded. He grabbed a quill and a spare piece of parchment on the counter. He quickly wrote down the message. The lady smiled and hurried off to do the engraving. Ten minutes later the three guys exited the store.
“Thank you Harry.” Anakin said.
“Don’t worry about it. Just make her happy.” Harry replied.
“I will.” Anakin vowed.
Anakin turned and went to find Hermione and Ginny. As he walked away, Draco turned to face Harry.
“You do realize that he may not be able to keep his promise to make her happy.” Draco stated.
“I know. Why did he have to be a Jedi Knight?” Harry sighed.
“I don’t know love. Do you think we should tell Hermione that she’s not the only descendant of Jedi at Hogwarts?” Draco asked.
“No. She has enough to worry about. She doesn’t need to worry about the Sith coming after us too.” Harry replied.
Draco nodded. He pulled Harry close and kissed him fully. Harry moaned and returned the kiss. They pulled away and just smiled at one another. Harry draped his arm around Draco’s shoulder and the two walked off to meet up with Ron at Honeydukes.

“On Christmas night. I believe she will be more vulnerable then.” Palpatine answered.
“Yes Master.” Darth Maul said.
“Darth Sideious.” Voldemort spoke up as he entered the room.
“Voldemort, have your Death Eaters prepared to go after this Severus Snape on Christmas night.” Palpatine instructed.
“Fine.” Voldemort hissed.
Palpatine watched as Voldemort exited the room. He then turned and faced his apprentice.
“Watch him. I don’t trust him. I feel he will betray me.” Palpatine instructed.
Darth Maul bowed and left the room. Palpatine turned and stared out the window.
“Soon, the universe will be mine.” Palpatine whispered.

Christmas holidays began. Most of the students returned home. The only ones who remained were Hermione, Harry, and Draco. Ginny and Ron were traveling with their family to Romania to visit their brother Charlie. Hermione, Anakin, Harry, and Draco sat in Hermione’s suit talking.
“Do you guys have anything like Christmas where you come from Anakin?” Draco asked.
“No. I mean we have holidays and things, but not like Christmas.” Anakin answered.
“I bet it would be cool to be able to travel and see other planets and their inhabitants.” Harry said.
