Chapter 9
Coming into their bedroom, Sirius looked at the bed and grinned then shut the door behind him very quietly. Harry was still out cold. That wasn't unusual. His godson tended to sleep longer than he did most days. That was fine as well, he didn't mind in the least.
Walking over, he sat on the bed and ran his fingers through Harry's tousled more than normal hair then chuckled softly when all he got in return was a grunt and several garbled words he couldn't make out. Typical Harry. Once glance up told him that the leash he wore around his wrist all the time was still hooked to the headboard. Good. Harry also still had the leather wrist cuffs on as well. Another good thing. They were mandatory and his godson wore them all the time anymore. Like the leash, the cuffs were hidden with a spell, but they were there. Letting his fingers trace down one of Harry's bare arms, he could see the ligature marks from their 'play' session the night before. Looking down, he could see them in other places where he had been bound as well, something that made him grin. One of the first things he learned was that Harry wanted them left on him. He said it was because it was a reminder of what they did. That was fine and he could deal with that, leaving them rather than using the typical spell for healing that most would want.Looking at his godson, Sirius smiled. Once more he reached up and ran his fingers through Harry's inky colored hair. He loved this life, all there was to it. It was strange, bizarre and all kinds of other things, but that didn't matter to him. As far as he was concerned, it was perfect. And he wouldn't change it for the world, despite how so many still frowned on their relationship. It was a tad over five years since the return trip through the Veil. And much had changed for many. As they had talked about, Harry distanced himself from his friends. Ron and Hermione had moved on to finish school, in Hermione's case, and go into training, in Ron's. Since then, they had taken jobs in the Ministry, as expected, and were engaged. Ginny had gone back to school then moved on to become a professional Quidditch player. The three had tried to stay in Harry's life, something he and Harry had dealt with and allowed minimally, but like so many, they had all drifted apart. Generally, the only time they saw each other was at gatherings at the Weasley's for some event. That was fine with him as those three were the ones he was most worried about when it came to discovering that something was really 'wrong' with Harry. So far, on that front, they were good.Over the years, but especially during the first one, there had been speculation by many that there was something off when it came to Harry. First was their relationship, something that caused all kinds of talk. That he didn't mind and they both ignored it. Second, though, were some of Harry's actions since then. His godson was known for having a temper. Most, when it came to the morons that tried something stupid with Harry, chalked what came up to that aspect of his personality. After all, he was still younger and it took time for your temper to cool and you to mature completely. Sirius let that go on. It was something that would only help as it drew attention away from other kinds of speculation, such as how Harry's personality had changed. That he didn't want anyone to notice, so he let the temper issue be the one out there. In all honesty, it was far better now than it used to be as Harry was calmer and the most bothersome issues were under control. As he expected when planning for this before coming back, it hadn't been easy. That first instance of Harry not listening or heeding what he said was only the beginning of what came. There was a slight period of easing in before the worst hit as they were adjusting to being together and the fun that came from the sexual part. That only lasted a month or so when the next incident came after a fool in Diagon Alley pushed Harry to his limits with some of what he said. Like what happened with Rita, Harry was ready to fight. And nothing he did worked until he invoked the bond. It was then the Darkness in Harry began to battle against what he was trying to accomplish. As he had expected that, wondering when it would come actually, he had been up to the challenge. That first year was the worst. By the end of it, he had enough in place that it calmed the worst of what was there. There were still moments, as anyone would expect, especially if someone were fool enough to provoke Harry intentionally. Thankfully, there weren't many of those, so he could handle what came. By now, Harry was calmer and settled into what the relationship was like without the huge challenges that it brought on at first. That he liked. It also made everything going on far more enjoyable for both of them. He thought that part of what helped was Harry himself got partial control over the Darkness. What he put in place aided that, no doubt there, but Harry had needed time to get control over what Albus had unleashed in him. It was still the part in control and had changed his godson, but Harry, what was left of him anyway, had needed time to pull back part of himself. That he had managed, with his help of course. So much else had changed as well. Kingsley, despite what he said that first morning after the battle, was still Minister. He hadn't planned to run again, but was encouraged by people who loved what he did and how he changed so much. Though some of what he did was unpopular, such as cutting deals with so many ex-Death Eaters, it was now seen as something that helped heal their world. Most wouldn't ever get out of Azkaban. That was good, of course. The Malfoys would. Draco would be released in a few years, if he remembered correctly what his sentence was. Lucius in another five. The only reason they got the 'light' sentence they did was that Lucius started talking, about everyone and everything, to get Draco a lighter sentence. Lucius did all he could to mitigate his and Draco's sentence, but it didn't work completely. At the time Voldemort took over so much, the man was an escaped convict, having been broken out of Azkaban by Voldemort. That didn't help him in the least when it came to what he tried to get them off. Nor did some of his other stunts, something he pulled out to try to get completely off like he had the last war. It came down to he made the wrong choices, like Draco did, and was now paying for them. The same with so many others.Kingsley had also gotten rid of the Dementors, made sure Umbridge went to prison, tossed out so many of the archaic laws, battled to get rid of the laws against werewolves and so much else that was just common sense that so many had ignored for so long. That's why people wanted him. Though Kingsley had told him and Harry that he didn't like the job, he kept on doing it because he was making real changes that helped. That Sirius liked, a lot. It was about time someone stepped in and did the right thing. And Kingsley was perfect for that job as he didn't cater to anyone, only doing what was right. While the world moved on without them, as he and Harry stayed to themselves and pretty much hid away, they worked on their new relationship. That caused its own problems as they were used to their relationship in the past. Though they both adored what was now there, some changes had to happen to evolve it into them being basically married. It took time and effort, especially coupled with the other problems tossed into it. Harry also had to adjust to his role as basically a submissive. Because his godson was one that was considered a 'leader' and had always made choices for so much, that was stressful and took work to switch, despite the fact that he wanted this new way of acting. For a time after things finally settled and he got the measures in place to deal with what was there, he and Harry had floundered at finding something to do. Most normal jobs were out. There was no chance he was allowing Harry to work where he wasn't around. That was a recipe for disaster if there ever was one. So, they didn't have much of anything they could do. They did fine for the first two years, with plenty to keep them occupied complete with going on a few vacations to other places they always wanted to see. Then the boredom set in. He had expected issues with them being with each other all the time. It was then it began to manifest, making sometimes difficult issues worse to deal with.Deciding they had to do something before they went completely barmy, Sirius thought that they should try starting a business of some kind so that they would not only have something to do, but could do it together. It was just coming up with something they wanted to do and that would be viable. Though they both had money and could support any kind of hobby, he wanted something that would actually make money. And they had no clue what they could do. Many ideas were bandied about, but none were workable. Most of what they liked already had shops devoted to those things and were plenty successful. There were others where there was just no competing with what was there and the reputation. Still others, though good ideas, would take years to get working, if they would succeed. So, they had been at a loss as to what they could do. It was finally something Harry said that triggered the idea. After going out to get some new 'toys' one day, playing into the BDSM they were into, Harry had wrinkled his nose after coming back from one of the shops down Knockturn Alley. The places down there were disgusting and seemed to attract the worst sort of clientele you could imagine. The two of them had been to Muggle shops that were far nicer and didn't have the seedy appearance the Magical ones did. They had also been to a few Muggle BDSM clubs. Both of them had liked those. Though they tended not to participate, watching was good by them. Talking it over, the idea clicked.Going through Kingsley to keep it a secret who was getting the license for not only the sex shop part, but the BDSM club and booze, they had opened their own. Their names appeared nowhere on the licenses, having been magically hidden, but it was them that owned and ran it. And it was a success, a big one. They were in Knockturn Alley, of course, as they had to be there because the Ministry wouldn't allow a license for that kind of site in the Alley proper, but they managed to find a vacant building at the end nearest to the Alley and went to work. By the time they were done, they had something they were proud of. The sex shop was in the front. It was clean, well lit and as welcoming as they could get it. A male only BDSM club was in the back. On one side was a bar and on the other the club with all the equipment. They also made it to where you had to wear a wrist band. Black meant you didn't drink booze and could participate, blue was drinking and watching.Once they got it up and running, Sirius put out word to a few people he knew and managed to hire people that actually knew what they were doing when it came to D/s and BDSM. They ran the BDSM club itself as they were well versed in the lifestyle and made sure whatever went on stayed safe. Sirius let them handle it how they thought was best as they knew better what needed in place to make it run smoothly. Then they hired managers for the bar and shop. Though it had been slow at first, the business was now booming. Despite the fact that it was odd and most people wouldn't admit to going inside, they were always full. In fact, they had seen plenty of people they knew come in. For most it was just curiosity, but others had a membership. That always made Sirius grin.Looking down at the still sleeping Harry, his smile grew. While many were horrified by their relationship, he adored it and Harry. After all, going in, he loved Harry with all his heart and would do anything for him. This was just an extension of it. And, honestly? He loved this relationship as well. More than anyone would ever know. Like in the past, he would do anything for Harry. This proved it.Sliding up into a sitting position on the bed, he undid the leash and set it down then he himself laid down by Harry, slipping an arm around him. Kissing Harry on the shoulder, he chuckled at more of the mumblings from his godson as he stirred slightly. Grabbing the leash, he put the loop around his wrist then gave a tug, knowing that would wake his godson. Though they had no set hours, they went to the club each night. Tonight they were going to meet with two people, so Harry needed to get up.Though Harry stirred more, he didn't wake, something that had Sirius chuckling. Shaking his head, he perched over Harry then began to kiss him on the shoulder while tugging on the leash. Lifting his head, he muttered, “Wake up, Harry,” before going back to kissing him, running one hand up and down his side.Opening his eyes, Harry groaned then squinted. Feeling the touches, he looked over his shoulder at Sirius and gave a lop-sided grin. “'Morning, Sirius,” he mumbled, reaching up to rub his eyes.“Afternoon, Harry,” Sirius chuckled.Groaning, Harry shook his head and dropped it back down onto the pillow. “It's my morning, you know that. We don't keep normal people hours.”“Very true,” Sirius laughed, rolling off him and lying on his side, propped up on one elbow. “We need to get moving. They'll be at the club this afternoon when they get off work, so we have to get up, get over there and tend to whatever cropped up before they get there or we won't have the time to sit and talk to them like we want.”Knowing that was true, Harry groaned, but nodded. “Which means I have to get my arse out of bed and do the normal.”“Hence the reason I woke you,” Sirius snorted, reaching over to ruffle Harry's already tousled hair. “Come on, we'll get a shower together, find something to eat then deal with whatever around here.”Muttering about not wanting to get up, Harry groaned again and pushed himself up then rolled over, sitting up, legs dangling over the edge of the bed. Wincing at his sore arse and the other areas that were a bit tender, he chuckled, “You need to put the ointment on anyway. I'm a bit sorer than normal after our fun last night.”“I'll handle it,” Sirius told him with a grin. Sliding to the edge of the bed, he sat up by Harry. Putting a hand on the back of Harry's head, he gave him a kiss. When he broke it off, he said, “We just have to make sure that we don't get distracted. That tends to happen with the two of us.”“We do,” Harry laughed, giving Sirius a nudge. Standing with a groan, he scratched his bare stomach then stretched. “How much time do we have before we have to be there?”“A few hours. We'll have plenty of time to take care of whatever,” Sirius told him, standing himself. “Nothing to worry about.”“Let's get it done then,” Harry sighed, trudging off towards the bathroom.Watching Harry go, Sirius' eyes drifted to his naked arse then grinned. Shaking his head, he reminded himself they had things to do, so they couldn't get distracted. Heading in that direction, he sighed. There were things to take care of, so they needed to handle that and not just have another fun bout of playtime. That could come later.
Eyes locked on the BDSM side of the club, Harry grinned as he sipped his beer. Though it was early, there was one member in that was putting on a good show for everyone. He was the kind Harry called a 'slut', meaning he would do anything with anyone, as long as he got to bottom. That's what was currently going on. One of the regular Doms was in, had him naked in the stocks and was fisting him. Shaking his head as he watched, he glanced up when he heard someone coming. As he thought, it was Sirius. Most didn't know who they really were, as they wore a glamour all the time when in the club, but they knew they were the owners, so they acted respectfully.
Scooting over to where he was in the corner of the booth he was in, Harry's eyes drifted back to the show being put on, chuckling softly. “The slut is having a good time.”“I noticed,” Sirius laughed, sliding in by Harry. Slipping an arm possessively around Harry's shoulders, Sirius looked in that direction. “Interesting,” he commented as he watched what was going on. Even from where they were sitting they could hear the loud moans from the man even though he was gagged.“He's enjoying it,” Harry told him, leaning against him.Giving Harry a squeeze, Sirius laughed, “Obviously!” Holding Harry close, he glanced around while taking a sip of his own beer. Though everyone knew the two of them were together, he always made sure that he was close to Harry and made some gesture to make it damned clear that he was with him. This was the only place other than home that Harry's collar wasn't hidden. The same with the leather cuffs. That was enough to tell all but the most foolish that Harry was claimed. However, they'd had a few try with Harry since opening the club, so he wanted it as clear as they could get it. His own eyes drifting back to the show, pleased that one of the ones in charge of that side of the club was keeping a close eye on the action so it didn't get out of hand, he asked, watching what was going on, “Is that something you'd like to try?”“I'm not sure,” Harry admitted, twirling his beer bottle on the table. “It's something fun to watch, that's for damned sure, but not sure about going there. There has to be some serious pain involved if you haven't done it before.”Understanding that and knowing Harry's aversion to some of the more painful aspects of BDSM, Sirius nodded. “Understood. Maybe we can try and see how it goes.”“Maybe,” Harry said softly, keeping an eye on what was going on.Giving Harry a squeeze, Sirius then glanced around and leaned back. Their company was coming. Unable to help himself, he chuckled at the look on Bill and Charlie's faces at what was going on. You could definitely tell the two were not into the scene as easily as they were shocked by some of what went on.Like many others, the two had come in one night with what they called a 'guest' band on their wrists. That meant they paid the entrance fee for one night and came in to see what it was like. After that, they had come back a few times. Sirius observed that it was more to just find a corner, sit and talk so they weren't bothered. That was fine as plenty of others did that. As they made it clear to all they didn't want to 'play' or get involved in the scene, they were left alone. After a few times of seeing them, he and Harry had joined them, telling them who they were, in a way without actually coming out and saying their names. Since then, the two came in here and there to just relax, so they all sat talking. Though they were surprised that he and Harry owned the club, they hadn't said too much, seeming to enjoy the company.Waiting until the two took a seat and ordered a drink, Sirius snickered, eyes drifting back to what was happening on the other side of the club, “They started early tonight.”“We see that,” Charlie chuckled, shaking his head after he took a sip of his beer. It had been a long day on the reserve in Wales, somewhere he transferred after the war to help out with so much, with a new clutch of eggs being laid. So, he was tired and wanted to relax for a while. As Sirius made sure they were left alone here, they could manage that in a way they couldn't in a normal bar.Shaking his head, Bill just snorted. Leaning back in the booth, he stretched out his legs with a groan, sipping at his gillywater. “It's close to the full moon, so you can expect some strangeness.” That was something he knew about because of the pull of the damned thing thanks to what Fenrir did to him.“True,” Sirius sighed, making a point to double check everything each night because of the increase in odd activity around this time. Seeing a dour look on Bill's scarred face, he asked, “Rough day?”“I got the divorce papers today. So, it's official; we're getting divorced. I had hoped that she would change her mind, but she didn't and filed. Oh well, I knew it was coming and prepared. It just means that I now have to deal with that and the other problems. As it's coming, Charlie and I decided to see if we can find a flat to share. Staying at home just isn't cutting it for the both of us.”“Not that we don't love mum and dad, but we're used to being on our own there,” Charlie added with a sigh. “Besides, the traffic in and out of the place is enough to make you mental! We were used to it when we were growing up, but it's just hard now.”Sirius nodded and chuckled, “I can certainly understand that.” Sobering up, he asked Bill, “You're giving her the cottage then?” He knew why this was happening as Bill had talked about it a few times. Unlike what she thought, Fleur, like so many, couldn't handle the increase in animalistic instincts that came with the attack by Fenrir. She had tried, more than so many did, but just couldn't. As the two had a daughter now, she was just to that point and the divorce was coming from it. It was sad, but this is what usually happened as most weren't equipped to handle the changes that came from such attacks.“She has my daughter, so it's only right that she keep it,” Bill told him with a shrug. “I don't have a problem with that or the support I have to pay. It's just going to make it to where I have to watch my money, nothing more. If it wasn't for Victoire and wanting to see her, I would just go back to Egypt.”“Something else understandable,” Sirius told him. Looking between the two, he asked, “Any leads on a flat? I've been keeping an eye out for you, but the only things I've heard about are either just nasty or too expensive.”“Nothing so far,” Charlie sighed, slouching. “We're coming across the same problems you mentioned. That and they just aren't big enough for the two of us.”Glancing at Sirius, who looked his way and nodded, Harry said, “We might have something for you. It was something that we weren't going to say anything about to see if you could find something or we could.”“Any suggestion would be good,” Bill told him, leaning forward and putting his elbows on the table. Harry—he had changed so much since the war that he wasn't always sure what to make of him. There was something unnerving about him at times, although he didn't know what. This was still Harry, however, and he didn't have a problem with whatever it was. Though all of them had been blindsided by him and Sirius bonding, they were happy together. That's all that counted in his books so he went with it.“Hell, we're even considering Aberforth's offer of taking the apartment at the Hogs Head,” Charlie snorted, grinning as he did. “You both know how nasty that is.”“We do,” Sirius laughed, shaking his head.“What do you have?” Bill asked, curious. He knew this place didn't have an apartment above it. What was upstairs was needed for storage and couldn't be converted. Besides, he wasn't about to live in Knockturn Alley! It was fine to visit the club, as Sirius and Harry made damned sure everyone was safe and the outside was kept that way, but no chance at living down here. Especially if his daughter was to visit.“We thought about letting you move into Grimmauld Place and taking the second floor. We would share the kitchen and that, but the second floor would be yours and we wouldn't intrude there. The top one is ours and you wouldn't have access there. Everything else we would share. As you know, we redid the whole damned thing, so it's nice. As protected as it is, your daughter won't have a problem there. Hell, Teddy spends the night occasionally when Andromeda needs a break and your mum is busy. There is plenty of room for the two of you and you would have your privacy. Standard rules would apply about guests and such because of the wards, but it would work until you could find something better. And you would pay rent, so it would be about the same, though probably more comfortable than either of you could find elsewhere.” Sirius told them, looking between the two after he finished.“That is something we'll seriously consider,” Bill told him honestly after a glance at Charlie, who looked interested. “Let us talk it over then we'll get back to you.”“It's a better idea than anything else we've found,” Charlie admitted, mind already turning over the idea, working on problems that could come of it.“We just wanted it out there in case you couldn't find anything else,” Harry told them. “We'll manage to work around problems in the house if you do take the offer, don't worry.”Seeing both of them nod, looking interested in the idea, Sirius asked Bill, changing topics, “How is your kiddo? Last I heard she was growing like a weed.”Smiling, Bill nodded, “She is! Runs you ragged.” Then he began talking about his daughter, smiling as he did. Though the end of the marriage hurt in ways he didn't anticipate, at least he had her out of it. That would make up for almost anything.
“Are you sure about this idea of letting them move in, Sirius?” Harry asked, voice louder than normal as his godfather was in the loo. It was almost four AM, so they were getting ready for bed. He was standing there naked, except for the collar and cuffs, waiting for Sirius to join him so they could lay down. “It's risky, you know that. And I'm not sure how well I'll handle it.”
“I don't see it as a problem,” Sirius told him, coming out of the loo, naked himself. With a groan, he stretched then flopped on the bed, patting beside him as a signal for Harry to come join him. “You need to remember that they do normal worker drone hours and sleep at night. We don't do that. So, we might encounter each other here and there, but it won't be much and not for long. Hell, most week days they'll just be coming home when we leave for the night.”“There is that,” Harry said, flopping down by Sirius. Turning on his side, he rested his head on Sirius' shoulder and draped an arm over him. “It's just—like on our days off. We're used to doing what we want, including mostly naked breakfasts and that.”“That we would have to change, I admit it,” Sirius laughed, pulling Harry close. Giving the collar a tug, he then reached up and stroked Harry's head. “They can't get up here so they won't see our 'toys'. We've also made sure it's soundproofed, especially the playroom. So, they won't have a clue what we have up here. The rest—they've been around you enough that it won't be a problem. They might see some odd bits, but it won't matter.”“Very true,” Harry said, tone distracted as he pondered that. “It would just be hard to adjust to.”“That I admit,” Sirius conceded. Turning on his side, facing Harry, he told him, “It won't be bad if they accept. We'll just have to be mindful of going downstairs and what we're showing, nothing more.” Sighing, he added, tone weary, “Despite all Kingsley has done about werewolves, the old prejudices are still there for so much. Bill is well known, so everyone knows where those scars came from. Though he doesn't transform, he gets some of the characteristics each month, something that scares the idiots. Though the two haven't said anything, I'm sure that's factoring in when it comes to them finding a place. One look at those scars and some wouldn't rent to them, making an excuse of some kind. As I dealt with Remus for so long, it doesn't bug me a bit. You? What we've worked with there was harder. And I'm damned sure that what he deals with doesn't bother you either.”“Not a bit,” Harry told him honestly, snuggling up to Sirius and shutting his eyes.Smiling, Sirius kissed him on the top of the head. “We'll discuss it more when they make a decision. Nothing to worry about.” Changing topics, he said, “You got another letter from Dudley. That's two now. Are you sure you don't want to answer him?”“Nope,” Harry snorted. “What he tried was too little, too late. I don't care anymore.”“He wants to establish a relationship, Harry. He's about the last of your relatives,” Sirius told him softly. He had hoped that Harry would have a change of heart because he thought it would do him good, but he assumed it wouldn't work.“I don't care,” Harry snorted, eyes sliding shut. “There is too much history there for me to want to try. He should have thought of so much years ago.”“I understand,” Sirius sighed, holding him close. It was something that he would try with later if another letter came. Harry was still there and shades of who he used to be could be brought out. That was something he wanted to encourage. He couldn't do that if they isolated themselves completely. If Bill and Charlie did move in, it might help. No, he didn't plan to have all of them act like a big family, but Harry being around them on a regular basis might help what was here. At least he hoped so.Changing topics, Sirius said, “Let's talk about the fisting. If it didn't cause pain, would you be willing to try?” Though he was the one in charge, so much of what they did were things he wanted Harry to agree to. If it was for purely pleasurable purposes, he wanted Harry to agree. The thought of fisting intrigued him, so he wanted to get what Harry felt about it before they pushed on.“The pain is the big factor there. I can't see how it's done without that. Yeah, I've heard the talk, of course, but the ones I've seen having it done, have a look on their faces that says it hurts,” Harry told him, rolling his eyes up to look at him.“Maybe that's something we can try and see what we can manage. Let me get with a couple of them at the club to see what they say on it. I agree, though; most have that look that reads of pain. That we don't want.” Sirius told him, thinking this over.
