Chapter 9: Video Day Part 2

Kelsey walked up to Riley's door and knocked, "Come on bro! We have to be on set in twenty minutes!" He heard voices and a loud thud.
"You alright?" He asked through the door. He was about to knock again when the door opened with force. He tried to hide his smile from his friend. Her hair was disheveled and it looked as if she just threw on any shirt and jeans that were close.
"Umm good thing you're going to make up first," Kelsey said with smirk and pointed at a spot on her neck. With panic in her eyes she went to the bathroom, and lo and behold there was a hickey on the right side of her neck. Just as Hermione came in looking in the same state Riley was in.
Riley turned around and looked at her. Hermione's hair was a mess, more than usual and she was wearing one of Riley's button down shirts. Riley didn't want to leave her. Not when the girl in front of her was looking like that. Hair a mess, biting her lip, her eyes smiling, and a couple of hickeys on herself.
Hermione walked up to Riley and looked at the hickey, "Oh Merlin, did I do that?" She asked as she touched it and Riley slowly sucked in a breath as Hermione touched her. She was about to say something but Kelsey interrupted them, "Riley we got fifteen minutes to get you to make up! Hey Hermione!"
Hermione eyes went wide and then she covered her face in her hands and leaned on Riley who just smiled. She kissed the back of Hermione's head and the other girl looked up at her, "I gotta go. Are you gonna be on the set today?" Hermione nodded and her unasked question was answered when Riley leaned in and gave her a soft kiss.
"I'll see you in a bit," Riley whispered pulling back. She kissed her on her forehead and walked out of the bathroom and tried to ignore Kelsey's knowing smirk.
Once out the door they walked down the hallway no words were being said until they turned the corner, "Shut up Kelsey!" Riley said as the reached the elevator. Kelsey kept smirking and shook his head, "I didn't say anything," they stepped into the elevator and he pressed the button.
"You didn't have to you asshole," she said with a small smile as the doors closed. Last night was the most she felt alive in a long time. The last time she felt like this was when her and Hermione were in the warehouse and she had her against the wall. This girl that is some what a stranger to her some how is bringing out a side of herself that seemed to be missing. Riley wouldn't have it any other way.

Harry and Draco were on the set waiting for the day to begin and watching everyone set up the equipment.
"Remember when we would do this?" Draco asked leaning over to Harry to make sure no one would hear them.
"I was just thinking the same thing," he whispered back. Watching all these people set up everything brought them back five years ago when they used to do this for Outsiders. They missed it and wished that night didn't happen. It did, but they are back in their lives and right now that's all that mattered.
"Hey guys," Mike said walking up to them. Harry shook his hand but Draco was looking at something.
"Draco are you okay?" Mike asked bringing Draco out of his daze. "What? Oh, yeah, uh, Mike I need to show you something," Draco said and Mike nodded and started to follow him. Harry watched as Draco was showing Mike a cord that wasn't supposed to be there. They continued to investigate when Harry felt some one beside him. He didn't have to see who it was. He just smiled and shook his head.
"Did she rock your world last night?" He asked trying not to last. Hermione just pushed Harry who laughed. "We'll talk later,."
"Uh huh, we'll get drinks after this. I think they have radio interview or something. Maybe we could go and watch."
She grabbed his arm and leaned her head against his shoulder, "That sounds good. Hey so when am I gonna see Sirius?"
Harry smiled, "Whenever you want. Just let me know."
Riley was looking down at some papers and just happened to look up and see Hermione close with Harry. For some odd reason she didn't feel jealous. She found that weird, and rather soothing. Normally if some one saw that, they would get jealous, but not her. Why wasn't she jealous? Why wasn't she screaming inside? Why isn't she wanting to punch Harry in the face and yell at Hermione? Why didn't she feel ANY of those?
She was brought out of her thoughts when Mike came up to her with Draco who was holding a set of cords. It wasn't long until the rest of their friends joined them.
"Draco noticed these. They're giving off some sort of vibration," Mike said pointing at cords that Draco was holding. Everyone but Riley gave each other worried looks. "Hermione, Harry, Draco, I need you three to get the crew sheet and look over and see who isn't supposed to be here, "Kelsey said. "As for the cords we'll have some one look at them. Thank you Draco, we'll talk tonight," he added.
"What's up with the cords?" Riley asked as she watched the three of them walk away. Eric put a hand on her shoulder, "Just wanna make sure no one's been tampering with our stuff. Remember L.A. when you almost died?"
Riley shuddered at the thought. About a year ago they were doing a concert in L.A. all of a sudden one of the stage lights fell and if she hadn't moved when she did, it would have killed her. They couldn't find an explanation for it. Nor any of the things that happened unexplainable to them. From stage lights, to electric shocks, to almost getting shot, or stabbed. The last five years they couldn't help but feel that some one wanted them hurt or dead.
Ever since then they always made sure things were only set up by people they trusted. But now they weren't too sure. Kelsey started to think about have Harry and Draco back to help set up their stuff. If Draco didn't notice those cords who knows what would have happened. Before they could talk more about it the director called over for Mike to get ready.
Today they were doing individual scenes, they wanted to start with Mike first and then end with Riley. Then, the very final one would be all of them together at sunset. After that they had to go do a quick interview with a TV show. Riley would announce her break up then, that is if the rumors haven't caught up to any one yet.
It was a slow and easy day today. Yesterday she had fun with Hermione, more than she thought. She really wanted to know what was going on with herself. Ever since Hermione came in her life, her world seemed to turn upside down. She looked down the street and saw Hermione with her friends and Riley couldn't help but smile. She really wished she could find out why Hermione has her in such a way. But she guessed that was just the mystery of it all.

"Hey guys this is Maria with Entertain Music. I'm in Fiji! Yes that's right I'm in Fiji! Not only is it amazingly beautiful here, but I am here with Outsiders! Say 'Hello' guys!"
"Hello!" They all said together, "I'm here to talk to them about their new mysterious music video, the contest winner, and rumors about their love lives. Sit tight and we'll be right back!"
"And we're out! Okay that's three minutes!" The producer said.
Maria was going through her cards as she was getting touched up by the make up crew. Her blonde hair, blue eyes, and long eyes made her perfect for TV. Ryan guessed that's why she got into it. They've done interviews with Maria before and the reason why they like her the most is because she doesn't bullshit with them. Entertain Music was one of the media outlets they use to get the truth out. They always loved interviews with them, either with Maria or some one else. This media was their go to
Riley looked over and saw Hermione standing with Harry and Draco, she smiled and gave a small wave. Which didn't go unnoticed by Maria, but Kelsey gave Maria a look and she just nodded.
"OK! We are back in five, four three," he showed two fingers, then one, then pointed back at Maria.
"Welcome back everyone I'm Maria, with Entertain Music with Outsiders here in Fiji!" She looked down at her cards, "Okay guys let's get right to it, why Fiji?"
"Well we've always wanted to come here, and the song we are going to release seemed perfect to do it in this place," Ryan explained.
"You recently held a contest to find the "Video Girl." Tell me how was that process?"
"It was great! We had so many girls come in and audition," Kelsey started, "First we wanted to make sure they had chemistry with Riley."
"So we would come up with situations on the spot and see how the girls acted," Eric finished.
"The second stage was choreography. We had them work with Riley and Ryan, because we also wanted dance chemistry," Mike said.
"Then, we had them dance with Riley and see who had the most chemistry with her and after that we all sat down and talked about each girl and we finally picked Hermione," Ryan finished off.
"Wow, Hermione seems like a lucky girl to be here to be working with all of you. Was she the right choice?"
Off the side Hermione felt as if some one had punched her in the stomach. She grabbed onto Harry's shirt for dear life. Harry just put his arm around her to support her. Draco came close to her side just in case she ended up fainting.

"Hermione is the perfect choice," Riley said with a big smile. "This is her VERY FIRST music video she's never done anything like this before. She's a natural! I can't wait for y'all to see this video."
"We can't wait either. It should be coming out soon right?"
"Should be out in about three weeks," Mike said.
"Now, Riley there's rumors going around that you called off your engagement. Please tell me this isn't true," Maria said in a sad voice.
Riley rubbed the back of her neck and took in a deep breath, "It's true, Maria. I called it off."
"I'm so sorry. May I ask why?"
"Well to be honest, we've had problems before we got engaged, and I thought we were working through everything. But then it seemed that we were more different than we thought. I called it off because," she fought the urge to look over at Hermione.
"I didn't want to be with some one that I didn't have feelings for. I know I had them a long time ago and I thought they would come back but they didn't. So I didn't want to live a lie, and I didn't want to be in a relationship that would hurt Danielle. I still care for her, and I'll always have love for her. But I can't live a lie."
"Mike how did you tke the news?"
Mike pondered for a moment, "To be honest I was shocked, I was a little hurt that Riley wouldn't be my sister legally but she's always been my sister. No matter what, this band is a family and we've stuck with each other since we were fifteen, sixteen years old. I am sad for my sister, but in the end as long as they both are happy that's okay with me."
"We'll be right back," Maria said into the camera.
"Okay! We're out! Three minutes!" The producer said again.
"Well word is out, what's next?" Riley asked.
"Well, Riley we have something we're going to announce so whatever happens go with it okay?" Eric looked at his friend, "Um yeah okay sure," Riley said with confused look.
"Okay we're back in thirty seconds!" The producer yelled. Riley was still looking at her friends trying to figure out what they were going to do. She's acted before, but this would be a totally different type of acting.
"We're back in five , four three," Again the producer should two fingers, then one, then pointed at Maria.
"Welcome back everyone. If you're just now joining us I'm Maria with Entertain Music, with Outsiders, on this beautiful night in Fiji. It was just announced that their new music video, which they are currently filming will be released in three weeks. Also the rumors of the called off engagement is true. Riley just confirmed the break-up, with her and manger Danielle Stark.
Mike weighed in and said that as long as his life long friend, and band mate is happy that's okay by him. Same goes for his sister. Now guys tell me about this video," Maria said turning to back to them.
"It's about a couple that's here on vacation. We shot some scenes in Paris with Hermione to as some storyline to it. It's your typical romantic love story between two people that are in love," Ryan said.
"You also have been keeping it a secret of which song you're doing. Can we get any hints?"
They all looked at each other and chuckled, "All I can say is that it's a song after track number 7," Riley said with a smirk.
Maria laughed, "Keeping us on our toes. Okay before we go you said you have an announcement, is it good news or bad news?"
"Well you could say it's good news for us and bad news for some people," Kelsey said.
"Okay don't keep us waiting what is the news?"
"We've decided to leave our record company Stark Night Labels and go back to Red Label Records" Mike said.
Harry, Hermione, and Draco looked at each other in shock. Everyone's phone started to go off.
"Isn't that the label they signed with before?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, remember they signed the contract while at Hogwarts," Draco explained.
"But wait, Riley still doesn't remember. What are they going to say to her?" Hermione looked at her two friends and they both shook their heads. She turned her attention to Riley. She looked calm and collected, as if it didn't phase her at all.
Maria was trying to keep her composure and not to show any shock after that announcement, she looked over and saw her producer motioning her to stop the interview.
"Wow, that's a big announcement! But it seems that we are out of time. I want to thank Outsiders for being here," she motioned for the camera to go to them and they all said "Thank you" at different times and waved.
"I'm Maria with Entertain Music, I'll see you next time," she said with a smile.
"And we're out! Some body get me Tony!" The producer yelled louder than usual. They all got up and gave Maria a hug and told her thank you. She said when they find out more to call her and they will do a follow up.
Just then their phones started to go off non stop. "It's the Label" Eric said. "Who's going to talk to them?"
Ryan took a deep breath, "I'll do it," he said as he walked away and answered his phone. Riley was still sitting on her stool waiting for an answer. Kelsey, Mike and Eric, went up to her, "You okay buddy?" Mike asked.
She looked up at him, "Why does Red Label sound familiar?"
"I think we should go back to the hotel," Kelsey said
