“Are you angry with me that there isn’t an invitation for you?” Lidia asked Natasha as she on her bed with the Russian woman brushing through her thick black curly hair “I could stay home tomorrow night, you know...I’d be okay with that”
“No” Natasha said “Severus is bringing me in to London to watch the ball drop” Lidia could hear the blush in her tone “He said there would be fireworks and that it would be romantic”
“You and Severus have gotten really close, huh?” Lidia turned and looked at her “How’s it going?”
“We need to head to Diagon Alley” Natasha told her standing and helping her in to her cloak before securing her own “Severus is the most romantic man I have ever meant. He really cares about me and I can tell that just by the way he speaks, he helped me get all those presents for you guys and when I tried to pay him back...you know” She blushed “He wouldn’t let me, told me that he wanted more than just my body...he said that he wanted my heart”
“He really is sweet” Lidia said as they made their way to the Floo network “And good in bed”
“I cannot believe you had sex with him” She laughed “Whore”
“Sex?” Lidia said “I was his first”
The two women met Lanni in Diagon Alley, the red haired woman was smiling brightly. She was decked out in the best set of robes in London, her hair was swept up in an elegant knot and her make-up was light and beautiful. She was standing with another woman that was standing straight and regal with a small smile on her face. This woman wasn’t really pretty but there was something alluring about her, she had blond hair, cold blue eyes and pale skin, her face look a little like a pug and if it were for the real smile that lit her face a second later she really would be ugly.
“Welcome” She greeted holding out her hand to Lidia “I am Pansy Malfoy, Scorpius’s mother”
“Nice to meet you” Lidia said “I am Lidia Granger”
“I know” She smiled “You are famous in my house now, Lucius and Draco talk of nothing else”
“They are too kind, I’m sure” Lidia smiled and waved her hand towards the shop “Shall we shop?”
“Yes” She smiled and followed them in. They walked for some time sometimes bumping in to one another and sometimes having to search for the others. Pansy came over to Lidia while Natasha and Lanni were in a dressing room and she smiled tightly at her “I think we need to talk”
“O-of course” Lidia said confused “What is it?”
“You’re a smart girl” Pansy said with a raised eyebrow “I’m worried about you, Lidia” She smiled “In a twenty-eight minute visitation to my house you managed to pull my father-in-law out of his suicidal stupor and you’ve made my husband go completely bonkers over how smart you are, how charismatic you are...need I go on?”
“I think you should” Lidia said “Because I am not sure that I fully understand what you’re getting at”
“If you are trying to get your little claws in to my husband I will take you down” Pansy sneered “And don’t you try to seduce Lucius either, that man’s heart has been ripped out and stomped on too many times and he can’t take it...tell me I don’t have to worry about you, because I really want to like you”
“I am already in love with someone else” Lidia said “I am his true mate, I would never leave him for anyone...I can’t live without him” Pansy’s eyes danced over her face and then she sighed and gave a watery smile “I’m sorry...you’re young and beautiful...I felt...jealousy”
“It’s okay” She hugged the older woman “Come on, let’s get our dresses”
They got passed the awkward conversation and rejoined the other girls that were looking for something good to wear. Lidia wanted to look sexy for Remus but now she worried that if she chose something too sexy then Pansy would think she was trying to capture her husbands’ attentions or her father-in-laws eye. However, she found the dress that made her heart feel as if wings had taken hold of it and she knew that Remus would fall in love with the dress. She paid for it and together they all made their ways away from the store promising to see each other soon which was true, they would see one another again tomorrow night.

“How long has Mrs. Malfoy, Scorpius’s mother, known the Malfoy family?” Lidia asked her mother.
“She and Draco have been married for about twenty years now” Hermione answered “And they were friends all through Hogwarts not to mention that they were friends since they were five and Pansy made him eat an ant” She calculated it in her mind “About thirty-three years give or take a few years, why?”
“Oh” Lidia said smiling “She just expressed some...worries about my closeness to the Malfoy men the other day, that’s all”
“She worried that you were interested in stealing Draco, huh?” Hermione grinned “Pansy was never one of the pretty girls, I know that sounds mean but she would even admit that and I feel that she fears a beautiful young woman such as yourself could steal away Draco’s affections easily”
“If he wanted to be stolen” Lidia said “I feel that he would have been stolen way before I came in to the picture”
“True” Hermione nodded “A man can’t be stolen unless he wants to be...unless he’s kidnapped of course” They both laughed “However” Hermione added in after a few minutes of silence “You are not only beautiful but smart, charismatic, driven and the daughter of a god. You may not be now but someday you will likely find yourself in high demand and someone like Draco Malfoy and even Lucius, though I heard he’s not really himself nowadays, notices that and tries to get in good with that person for their own selfish needs”
“Then why was she so upset when she thought I was going after Lucius?” Lidia asked after thinking about what her mother said for a minute “Knowing how the Slytherin mind works, I know that getting in with the biggest fish in the pond is a good idea...the only better idea is being the biggest fish in the pond” Lidia explained “If I’m the biggest fish and the Malfoy’s would want to be on my good side so I would favor them, why not push me towards Lucius if not her own husband?” Lidia looked confused “She may be his wife but I read all about her and the Malfoy’s during the war and I know that they craved power enough to follow Voldemort...you don’t just stop wanting that much power”
“That’s true” Hermione said looking at the scar on her arm that read: Mudblood “Maybe she’s changed and she really loves Lucius and just wants her family to be whole without any more problems such as new wives and all that” She sighed heavily “Or maybe it’s because if Lucius married you and you had a child she and Draco would never get the whole Malfoy estate”
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“Lucius would definitely leave you a good amount of property, money and probably over half of the enterprise” Hermione explained “If you had a child that kid and Draco would have to share everything with each other and with you...pureblood families” Hermione shook her head with a laugh “So strange”
“Yeah” Lidia said distracted “Strange” She smiled at her mother and gave her a kiss on the forehead “I’m going to get ready for the ball”
“Call me if you need anything” Hermione called after her.
“I will” She promised.
Lidia went to her old room with her little sister and started to get dressed. She was lost in thought, going over what she had learned earlier...she was Remus’s mate she knew that but what if...for a short while she was another mans wife. It would be for a good reason, she wouldn’t have his kid, there were potions for that sort of thing. She shook the thoughts from her brain. She truly was her fathers daughter and the fact that she would even entertain the thought that she could marry an old man that was likely dying so she could have his money and own half of his business made her worry that maybe the people at school were right. Maybe she was unknowingly biding her time until she could finish what her father started...until she could rule the world.
“You look very pretty” Gabby said to her and that pulled her from her thoughts long enough to look in the mirror. She was wearing a simple mint green dress that was strapless and had a darker green sash around her waist. The dress long and had many layers to it of varying colors of green and little gemstones on the heart-shaped bust. There were unattached gauzy sleeves that went down to her wrist and up and over her shoulders, the material was clingy and slightly scratchy. She worried her hair would be a problem but she decided that if it was she would take care of it, for now it was held back in a ponytail, strands pulled all around the ponytail to make it look like her hair exploded out of her head and there was a thick green sash-like-headband on her head that had a little train of its own trailing down her back. Her curls were made perfect and they brushed her shoulders when she turned her head this way and that to get the full effect of her appearance. Her make-up as always managed to look natural but tonight she decided instead of her normal pink gloss to go with a bright eye-catching red.
Hermione actually cried while she took magical picture after magical picture of Lidia alone and then Lidia and Remus once he came down. He looked amazing in his suit, Lidia was sure that he would have looked amazing wearing...anything but the black slacks, white button down shirt that was partially hidden by a vest and topped off with a suit coat made her almost pant. As it was a nice party and no one wanted to tumble out of a fireplace covered in soot there was a horse-drawn carriage awaiting the young couple and as they got in, Lidia calculated if she enough time to molest Remus on the way to Malfoy Manor. She decided probably not, but he wasn’t safe for the ride home!

A/N: I hope you enjoyed yourself, they kind of ran away with me as usual but I couldn’t help myself, there is a plot twist in there that wants to come out and I am fighting to keep it at bay!
