Negotiations are going on between my two
best friends for a return to their boyfriend-girlfriend state. I just think
they need to snog properly.

Monday January 10^th.

Lousy stinking school started today.
Just my luck to have double Potions as my first lesson! Got paired up with
Malfoy… again. I was silly enough to get irritated by his insults and
Snape took 50 points from Gryffindor. I opened my mouth to protest as to why,
but he shot me one of his ‘just because’ glares.

Wednesday January 12^th.

Professor Trelawney’s prediction for this
year was: Harry Potter will suffer a most painful death. Lavender gasped, Ron
laughed and I rolled my eyes. Her Inner-eye is becoming annoyingly predictable.

Thursday January 13^th.

Wizards must celebrate April 1^st
on January 13^th because Malfoy actually helped me gather my
books after he stumbled upon me this afternoon; that had to be some kind of
sick joke.

Friday January 14^th.

Looking forward to my first Hogsmeade
weekend of the term. I need fresh air and loneliness.

Walked in on Ron and Hermione
snogging on the Common room’s sofa. Yuk!

Monday January 17^th.

Draco Malfoy is acting weird. He
kept looking at me out the corner of his eye during potions and when I ached my
eyebrows at him he blushed and spilled his cauldron content all over himself.
Snape cleaned the mess and forgot to take any points from Slytherin. The
bastard!

Tuesday January 18^th.

Malfoy is up to something. I know because
he keeps observing me and being nice to me. But I won’t buy any of it.

I told Hermione this and she said,
‘Maybe he’s reconsidering his future as a servant for the Dark Lord’. How
hopeful can you get?

I laughed my ass off and she glared
at me sceptically.

Wednesday January 19^th.

I’m sick and tired of Snape’s grudge
against my father! He landed me a detention just for miss-hearing the
ingredients and turning Goyle into a teacup. As if I did it on purpose!

Thursday January 20th.

Draco Malfoy is haunting my dreams. I was
sitting by the lake and he walked up to me wearing a big round badge that read
‘Harry Potter is my hero’. He smiled and swooned and then punched me in the
face.

I woke up with a start and had to
take two showers to make sure it’d been a nightmare.

Friday January 21^st.

Quidditch match against Hufflepuff
tomorrow. Spent the whole afternoon polishing my broom and trying hard not to
think of anything Malfoy-related.

Saturday January 22^nd.

Just my luck! Got hit by a bludger square
in the stomach. I’m spending the night in the hospital wing.

Sunday January 23^rd.

Madam Pomfrey is suffering from
Health-obsession. I’m spending yet another night in the hospital wing
just because she talked Dumbeldore into it!

Monday January 24^th.

Something funny happened this morning. I
was walking down to the Great Hall when Malfoy appeared round the corner
looking slightly flushed. He shoved a piece of parchment in my hand and ran
away without a word.
