Prologue
Disclaimer: Alas, I don\'t own neither Harry Potter or the Buffy verse. Those belong to J.K Rowling and Joss Whedon respectively.
AN: So I’ve played around with the time lines a bit, and have changed a few of the plot points (which I’ll note later) but other than that the story lines of the Buffy Verse and the Harry Potter Verse remain the same. This story will mainly be centered around Hogwarts and the battle with Voldemort, but will spend short periods of time in Sunnydale. Updates will probably be about once a week, as I have a hectic RL going on right now. Oh, and before I forget narration of the story is going to switch, but don’t worry I’ll always make sure that your not too confused.
~ Hermione was the slayer that came after Kendra (who came after Buffy.)
~ Hermione became the slayer when she was 17 (her last year at Hogwarts)
~ Other than that, that should be it. If I decide to play god anymore with the plot lines I’ll let you know.

The dreams had started coming right after her 17th birthday, at the end of her 6th year. She remembered it clearly because they were just the kind of dreams one doesn’t forget. Dreams of hell and demons and everything she had read about in her text books…except these weren’t just drawings they were real. The end was always the same, her death, except it wasn’t her but someone else, someone in a different time and place. Even with that knowledge she still woke up with the same fear imbibed in her stomach and the same adrenalin pumping through her blood.
Blood, that was another issue that was concerning her. The past weeks had left her feeling charged, like live energy was coursing through her. All her life she had felt like prey. Prey for being a bookworm, prey for the Slytherins, and most importantly prey for Voldemort. For once in her life she, Hermione Granger, felt like the hunter. For once she felt like she had all the power…and she couldn’t for the life of her explain why.
Every morning she would get ready for classes, going through her normal routine. Bring out one of the white fluffy washcloths stored in the Prefect\'s closet and scrub her face with cold water. Afterwards, looking at herself in the mirror, thinking ‘It was just a dream Hermione, just a dream. The studying is catching up with me, but in a couple of weeks it\'ll be all over with.’ This would be true except she started noting the changes of her physical aspects also. Over the course of a few weeks she had gone from slightly pudgy to completely toned. Her broom riding skills had improved tremendously (rivaling those of Harry’s) and when asked about it she simply replied “I must have just had a good day”. Even though it would have been expected of her to tell her friends what was going on, every cell in her being was telling her to keep it quiet. Keep everything quiet until she reached the mythical place of her dreams, a so called Sunnydale, this mysterious place that she had neither heard of nor seen on a map. Though she knew it was of up most importance that she got there as soon as possible. Unfortunately for her that wouldn’t be until the end of her school term.
It wasn’t until the marking showed up on her left hip, a Gaelic symbol of protection with a circle around it, that she knew she had research to do. So she went to the only library with in her reach, the one at her own school.

AN: I know the chapters short, but I wanted to send out a teaser to see if anybody would like it. If the story is responded well (even if it is just by one person) I’ll continue it with much larger chapters.
