The Ultimate Betrayal
A/N - Unfortunately, I own none of it.
Over the flames of what was once her beloved school, Hermione edged towards him knowing that the time was near. Dark hair clung to his brow and his breathing became labored as he continued to fight the curses that rained down upon him.
Words whispered; full of malevolence and hatred as she pointed her wand and watched his limp body slump to the ground. As his final breath escaped him, he watched in horror as she walked over and stood beside the familiar figure wearing a long, black cloak.
“I’m so sorry Harry, there was no other way,” she whispered.
