Title: The Muggleborn And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Summary: Twenty-three year old Hermione Granger is suffering from something that only one person can work on to sooth or cure. However he�s in Azkaban for something that he claims he was forced to do and no one wants to let him out. When it becomes dangerous will they let him out to help Hermione out or will they let Hermione suffer?

Chapter One: No Trial

No one was there when the former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Severus Snape was sent to Azkaban. He had been cleared of the death of the Headmaster, but the rape of Hermione Granger earned him his place in the famous wizard prison, Azkaban. The Minister of Magic had sentenced him to thirteen years, a lot longer then others that had committed the same crime. There were some, like Hermione herself, who wanted Severus to have a trial. But the Minister considered a trial � a waste of valuable time,� so it was never done.
For Hermione she received her own form of sentence. She had become pregnant due to what had happened and wizards and witches all around wanted her to get rid of the baby. They did not want it among their children, though Hermione had insisted that the child would be nothing like its father. They even went to the Minister of Magic, begging him to make her get rid of it. The Minister declined their request and several months later Hermione gave birth to a little girl name Emily.
Hermione brought baby Emily to Hogwarts to show her off to her former Professors and her friends. At once her friends told her they didn�t even want to see what they called, � the Snape brat.� This included Harry, who had the loudest voice of objection.
� I don�t know why you don�t just drown it,� he had told her.
Hermione clutched her baby close, tears rolling down her face.
� But she can�t help it that she�s a Snape,� Hermione protested. � It�s not her fault!�
� Hermione, she the product of a rape,� Harry pointed out. � She�s going to hate everyone, anyway.�
Hermione shook her head.
� Severus didn�t rape me, he was controlled,� Hermione confessed.
Harry just stared at her, his face starting to get red as her words made it into his brain. Suddenly he grabbed Emily, and Hermione screaming, got the attention of Headmistress McGonagall, who at once pulled Harry away from Emily.
� Harry, what do you think your doing?� McGonagall asked. � You just can�t grab a baby like that. It looked like you were trying to kill her.�
� I was!� Harry said through gritted teeth.
McGonagall stared at him, shocked that he was going to murder a baby.
� He grabbed her after I told him that Severus was controlled to rape me,� Hermione explained.
McGonagall turned and looked at her.
� What do you mean, he was controlled?� she asked.
Hermione hung her head down, tears welling up.
� Draco Malfoy told Voldemort that Severus had lied about being a pureblood. He said that he would have killed Dumbledore, himself, but he wanted to make it look like the man had died of old age. He blamed Harry for screwing it up for him, but he also blamed Severus. Voldemort held out the punishment, not telling Severus that he knew the truth about the lie that he had said when he was in school.�
She held Emily close, the tears falling.
� I was taken from Godric Hollow when we went looking for the last four parts of Voldemort�s soul. I was brought before the whole band of Death Eaters, which I can tell you is scary enough without the head moron there. Well, anyway, Voldemort told the Death Eaters that Severus had lied and that he was going to let Severus watch as everything that was important to him was taken away. He killed Severus mother, which was the one thing that made Severus yell for everyone to hear that the Order was going to win and Harry was going to kill him.�
� Go on.�
� Voldemort didn�t take kindly to this, I can tell you that,� Hermione went on. � He said that Severus was a fool to believe in Harry�s abilities to defeat a great wizard like himself. He also wanted to make a point that he was more powerful then Harry, by proving that he was even more powerful then Severus. He took out his wand and cast the Imperious Curse on him. He then ordered him to rape me, and that he would let Harry watch as he saw what he wanted to see, Severus being a Death Eater.�
� So what Harry saw wasn�t the full picture.�
Hermione nodded.
� After Voldemort closed his mind he made Severus tell me that this was the first time that he rapped someone. He also confessed that he had never been with anyone because Voldemort stuck him in a room and made him do potions all the time. Draco taunted him, saying that he was to ugly for anyone to love and that rapping me was like rapping a blanket. And now Severus is in Azkaban for something that he didn�t do out of his own free will. I WANT HIM OUT.�
She screamed this last part so loudly that Emily woke up. It took five minutes to calm her down and when at last silence fell, Hermione�s face fell.
� They�re not going to let him out, are they?� Hermione asked. � They�ve got their big bad Death Eater and that�s all anyone wanted.�
She walked past them, and then stopped.
� Severus killing Dumbledore was the first time he used the Unforgiveables. Thought you would like to know.�
And she was gone.
Hermione moved away from her parent�s house to a place that none of her friends knew. Of course none of them were really looking for her. The years rolled past and Hermione taught Emily all the things that were important, courage, fair play, and honesty. When Emily asked if she had a daddy, Hermione told her the truth.
� Of course you do, but he�s in Azkaban,� Hermione said.
� And why?�
� Because they think he did a bad thing,� Hermione told her. � Of course, I know he didn�t do it.�
� Can we please visit him?� Emily asked.
Hermione looked at her daughter, unsure how to answer that one. Hermione had no idea if he was allowed to have visitors, but she knew that Emily wouldn�t leave her alone until she agreed and they went.
� Okay, we�ll go,� Hermione, promised.
Emily got all excited and at once raced to her room and did a drawing for her visit. When she returned with it, they both left.
A/N: This will become a Hermione/Severus pairing, but in later chapters.
