Our Love

My family was falling apart.
I was scared and didn't know what to do.
You showed up in my life.
I didn't know what to think.
We were stuck together till school stared.
I had no choice in being with you.
It was either you or Voldemort,
I chose you.
You kept me safe and warm.
All I could do was fall in love with you.
My heart was complete as long as you were there.
You were my only family, my only friend.

Yet one day I wake up and you're gone from my side.
You have gone off to fight the Dark Lord.
I'm worried I might never see you again.
A day later I get news of yours and Voldemorts deaths.
All I can do is cry for you, morn for the person I loved and lost.
I wish you were still here, then I would be brave right now instead of frightened.

Now I stand here at your coffin saying goodbye to my love, my soulmate.
I will never see you again, at least not in the living,
But I will always love you and never forget our wonderful time together.
