The pale man stalked into the castle, his black robe flaring out behind him. He sneered at the quivering, weak wizards, who were kneeling on the ground. His men were guarding them, their wands pointed at their head, expressions eager. With a nod of approval, he made his way into the room that had once been the Great Hall.
He smiled coldly when he saw the defeated figures of the Order of the Phoenix and the teachers that taught at Hogwarts. The one man he hated more than anyone in the world was there as well. Years of being his spy and being treated as nothing but a tool had left a bitter taste in his mouth. He would finally get his revenge. After long last, Dumbledore would finally pay for his treatment of others. All the Witches and Wizards that he had destroyed in the name of Peace would finally get their revenge.
With a sense of anticipation, he stalked over to the man and sneered down at him.
"Any last words, Headmaster?" he asked coldly.
"Why, Severus? Why have you betrayed everything that we have worked so hard to achieve? Voldemort has been gone for five years, and we finally have peace. Why would you destroy that? Why would you betray me?" the old man asked sadly.
Snape laughed harshly. "Yes, Potter got rid of the one obstacle that stood in my way for power. For years, I have waited and planned for this moment. You don't know how much it fills me with joy to see you on your knees, knowing that you're going to pay. Pay for everything you have done in the name of your so-called Light. I have waited for so long to destroy everything that you have ever built," the Potions Master hissed.
"Sir," Draco Malfoy said from behind him.
Snape turned and looked at his godson. "Yes?" he questioned.
"Potter is not inside the castle," he replied.
Snape frowned and turned back to the Headmaster. "Where is Potter?" he demanded.
Dumbledore smiled smugly. "You failed, Severus. The one who will defeat you is free. He will destroy you as he did Voldemort. You may kill me, but know that I go to my death, secure that Harry will kill you in the end," he said.
Snape began to laugh. "You think Potter will kill me? You think that after all you have done to him, that he will lift a finger to save you and the Wizarding World? You must be mad," he replied, grim amusement showing on his face. "You killed his lover in the name of peace. You destroyed his home, turned the people against him, and forced him to stay here at Hogwarts and teach the DADA because he had no other option. You wouldn't even let him hide in the Muggle world. No, Dumbledore, Potter will not save you or anyone else in this room. His friends are dead, killed by you or Voldemort, his fortune gone, stolen by the very person who was in charge of it. His godfather is dead, killed defending his godson. I know that Black's demise was part of your plan. I believe Potter knows it as well. I have no worries about the boy saving your miserable hide," he said scornfully. "In fact, I think he would stand here and encourage it."
Five years ago, Harry Potter had finally defeated Voldemort in a bloody battle on the grounds of Hogwarts. With a scream of fury and blast of green light, Voldemort was finally defeated. The Wizarding World celebrated, while Snape began to plan, his main obstacle gone. He would wait until the Wizarding World became complacent once again, then he would strike. He would achieve what Voldemort had failed to do. He would control the Wizarding World and limit the amount of contact the Muggleborn's had with the Wizarding World. He would also limit the Muggleborns who would come to Hogwarts. He knew the Wizarding World needed a new influx of blood, but he wanted only the strongest to have a place in their society. He learned much from Voldemort, and the most important thing was that if he were going to kill Potter, get it right the first time, else the boy would be around to cause trouble.
He waited and planned. He watched with bitter amusement as the Boy Who Lived was betrayed by the very people he had saved. The boy, who had once been the beloved of the Wizarding World, was now a pariah. He was too powerful for the Wizarding World, and they were scared of him. Dumbledore had done nothing to protect the boy, his use for Potter had passed and he didn't care much beyond that. He was there when Potter found out about the money Dumbledore had stolen from his family vault. The Headmaster had been the Executor of Potter's estate after the death of James and Lily. Dumbledore had claimed that it was payment for those in the Order, for their hard work over the years. Potter had still been underage at the time, but he went to the Ministry to get help. They had done nothing. Finally of age and tired of the Wizarding World's betrayal, he left to try to make his way in the Muggle world, but he wasn't allowed that either. Dumbledore dragged him back, kicking and screaming, forcing him to teach at Hogwarts. With the Ministry backing him, they forced Potter to wear a bracelet that including a tracking spell. It also suppressed his magic to the extent he was no better than a Squib.
When he finally found some happiness with Pansy Parkinson -- to the surprise of many -- that too was destroyed. Killed in an Auror attack on her family home, they told Harry that she was part of a plot to resurrect Voldemort and bring chaos to their peaceful world. Potter never said a word about the obvious lie. He withdrew into silence, never talking to anyone unless it was Hogwart business. He flittered around the castle as if he were a ghost, never spending time with the other teachers. He only came out of his room to teach his class. Snape knew that the Aurors had killed Parkinson, not because of any plot, but because Potter had been happy -- and the fact that she had been a Slytherin. Dumbledore had been afraid that she would influence Potter into taking revenge on those who betrayed him.
Snape shook his head at the stupidity of the Wizarding World. They had left themselves wide open for another Dark Lord. They had betrayed the one person who could save them, and they did it without impunity. Now, the bumbling idiot thought the boy would save them again. Snape snorted with contempt.
"Harry will save us. That's what he does," Dumbledore said adamantly.
"Potter wouldn't waste his time," Snape replied. "Where is your precious savior now? I bet he's hiding out in the castle, hoping that we will kill you and he'll finally get his revenge. You stupid fool, you have no one to blame but yourself that he's not here to save you," the Potions Master said with a smirk. "The Boy Who Lived would rather die than lift a finger to save your arses."
"Harry will..." Dumbledore began.
"Oh, belt up, you old fool," McGonagall snapped. She was on her knees beside the old man. "Severus is right. Harry would sooner see you dead than help you."
"Me? Don't you mean us?" Dumbledore asked, confused.
McGonagall snorted and got to her feet. She walked to stand next to Snape. "How do you think the wards got weakened enough for Severus' men to get in to the castle? I helped him, you stupid ass. I've watched for you destroy that boy for years and I could do nothing to help him. I watched as you betrayed him time and time again, unable to lift a finger. I watched as you forced him to stay in a world that he hated. I watched as you killed his lover, the one person that had made him happy, simply because she was a Slytherin and you were afraid of her influence over him. I've watched and I've hated every moment of it. When Severus approached me for help, I agreed. While I may not like his methods, I'm tired of watching the Wizarding World fall into greed and corruption. You are the worst of them, Dumbledore. You don't even bother to hide it anymore. You deserve everything you got coming to you. You disgust me and I wipe my hands of you," she said contemptuously.
She turned and nodded at the amused Potions Master. "If you will excuse me, I have a few things I need to take care of. Let me know when you punish him; I want to be there," she snapped.
Snape nodded and with a final disgusted look at Dumbledore, she walked out of the Great Hall. Dumbledore's expression was stunned. The Potion Master knew that he couldn't believe that the woman he thought was his closest friend had betrayed him. Snape started to laugh, and Dumbledore's face grew furious. The other professors looked at them warily. Even without his wand, Dumbledore was still powerful.
"How does it feel to be betrayed by someone close to you?" a voice rang out in the hall.
Snape turned and looked at the figure in the doorway. He smirked as he watched the man stalk into the Great Hall. He made his way over to stand next to Snape, his gaze on Dumbledore.
The Headmaster's face brightened as he gazed at Potter. "Harry, good, you're finally here. Take care of Severus for me, would you? He seems to think he's the next Dark Lord," the old man said with exasperation.
Harry gazed at Dumbledore, his face pensive, and the old wizard seemed to realize that something wasn't quite right. Harry started to chuckle. "Snape thinks he's the Dark Lord?" he asked.
"So it would seem," Snape replied wryly.
"Oh, Dumbledore, you foolish old man, Snape isn't a Dark Lord," Harry said with a shake of his head.
Dumbledore looked confused. "He's not? Then why has he taken over Hogwarts?" he asked.
"He's doing what he does best. He's spying," Harry said with a whisper.
"Spying?" Dumbledore asked.
"Yes, for the new Dark Lord. It's been very hush, hush and he didn't want anyone to know, but I found out and helped him. It's his duty to spy, you know. He's very good at it," Harry said, amused.
Dumbledore's face was relieved. "You mean this was all an act? He's only doing this to appease the real Dark Lord? Who is he? Can you defeat him?" the old man asked eagerly.
Harry began to laugh and Snape joined in.
Harry reached out, took Dumbledore's hands in his, and gripped them gently. "Headmaster, you foolish old man, I'm the new Dark Lord," he hissed out and with a quick move, the bracelets that had once suppressed Harry's powers were slipped around the Headmaster's wrist, and with a click, the old man's power was restrained.
Harry chuckled at Dumbledore's stunned expression. "How does it feel to be the one wearing those? I find that I like the irony of it. I really like the justice of it all," he said.
"But how did you get them off?" Dumbledore asked weakly as he stared the bracelets.
"You really should've made sure that the bracelets didn't belong to Salazar Slytherin. The snakes should've given it away. Amazingly enough, all I had to do was utter the right word and the bracelets came off. I haven't worn the things for four years now. The ones I wore were only a replicated version to throw you off track. I couldn't get rid of them though. I thought they would look better on you. I was right. They are so you," Harry explained mockingly.
"Harry," a voice called out.
Harry turned and looked at Draco expectantly. "Yes?" he asked.
"The Ministry is ours," the blonde-haired man replied triumphantly. "Pansy said that the Minister is dead and so are most of the Aurors. The bombs that the Twins made were a huge success. We are putting our men into position as we speak. The Werewolves and the Vampires are taking their places as well. Our allies have surrounded Hogsmeade and are subduing the inhabitants as we speak. No one can enter or leave Hogsmeade. The floos are offline, except for the selected few. Remus said to hurry up, he wants to celebrate our victory," Draco reported with a grin.
"Tell your mate he'll have to be patient. Of course, you could always give him a private celebration. I'm sure he would enjoy that more," Harry teased.
Draco's face brightened. "Oh, now that sounds like a good idea."
Harry chuckled. "Tell Pansy good job. Oh, and make sure that Ginny is close by. You know how she gets after a battle," he instructed; a naughty twinkle in his eye.
Draco grimaced then laughed as he walked out of the Great Hall. Harry turned back to the stunned Headmaster. He gave him a feral smile and Dumbledore's face paled.
"See, Dumbledore, after all this time, you thought you had subdued me. You thought that you had me under your control. Well, you were wrong. I was never under your control. I was in control of everything. I only gave you the illusion of my submission," Harry told him gleefully.
"Parkinson?" Dumbledore croaked out.
"Oh, yes, that. Well, really, did you think that killing her was your idea? Please, we needed a legitimate way for her to disappear. If she died, well then no one would be looking for her when she went to recruit our allies, now would they? All it took was a potion, given to you by our dear Potions Master, and a subtle suggestion. I just had to play the part of the grieved boyfriend -- which was so far from the case. If I had any plans on touching Pansy, Ginny would've cut off my hands. She's a tad possessive of her lover," he grimaced.
"Ginny? The Twins?" Dumbledore asked, the twinkle gone from his eyes and his posture defeated.
"Sure. You didn't think they wouldn't find out about what you did to their family, did you? They knew you were the one that got Ron, Hermione, Molly and Arthur killed. They knew that you were their parents Secret Keeper. They also knew that there was only one way that the Death Eaters could've found them, and that was if someone had betrayed them. Oh, they knew," Harry growled, his eyes darkened with rage.
"Ron and Hermione didn't trust you, either. Taking into account what happened to my parents, they left a letter behind after their deaths. They had arranged for someone to deliver it to me in case they died. You came very close to dying that night, Headmaster. I shared the information that was in the letter with the remaining Weasleys. Imagine their shock when they realized the extent of your betrayal. Angered by your act, Bill, Charlie, the Twins and Ginny came to me and I let them in on a plan that I've had since my godfather's death. See, I knew that you would turn on me, Dumbledore. You had my friends killed because they were a hindrance to my duty," he sneered. "I have to admit I wasn't expecting the depth of your betrayal. I would've protected them if I had known. With the help of my family, friends and mate, I planned and I waited until the time came to take over the Wizarding World. Now, here we all are. You are finally on your knees before me. And I have such plans for you," Harry hissed venomously.
"You have a mate?" Dumbledore asked, his eyes filled with anger and fear.
Harry relished the look. For so long the man had been the object of Harry's hate. He hated the old man more than he had ever hated Voldemort. The man was a master manipulator and a murderer. Oh, Dumbledore might not have personally killed them, but he betrayed the location of the Burrow to the one person Harry wouldn't have expected. Percy had become a Death Eater, much to the horror of his family. When Dumbledore betrayed the secret of the spell, Percy had taken revenge on his family for siding with Harry. He had murdered them, one by one. But he didn't escape. Oh no, Harry had the pleasure of knowing that Percy begged for death by the time he got finished with the bastard.
"Mmm...yes. Well, actually he's my husband. We've been married for six years now. We were fucking since I was fifteen, the old perv," Harry said affectionately.
"And you enjoyed every minute of it," his husband said as he slid his arms around Harry's waist.
Dumbledore's eyes widened and he choked with rage as he realized just how deceived he had been.
Harry laughed. "You didn't really think you could kill my godfather, did you?" he asked. "You shouldn't plan people's death around where their friends can hear you. You know werewolves have sensitive hearing. Once Remus knew, he told Sirius. It was just a matter of a polyjuice potion and the Imperious spell and viola, dead godfather. It was actually quite brilliant, if I do say so myself," he commented proudly.
Sirius laughed. He leaned down to nibble on his husband's neck. Harry moaned and tilted his head to the left, letting Sirius place gentle kisses on his skin.
"Would you two get a room?" Snape bellowed with exasperation. "Is this my curse in life? To continuously walk in a room with you two going at it like dogs in heat?" he asked.
Sirius snorted and Harry grinned. "It's no worse than walking in on you and the twins," he replied, a grin on his face.
Snape smirked. "Yes, but we make it look good," he stated.
Harry laughed and shook his head. Draco walked in to the hall and grinned widely. "We are in place. Everything is locked down and those who would oppose us have been defeated. The Wizarding World is ours," he announced gleefully.
There was a large cheer and Harry sighed with relief. He had planned this for so long. The World that had betrayed him now belonged to him. And he would run it as he saw fit. There would be no more imprisonments without a trial. There would be no more restrictions on Werewolves, Vampires, and other Dark Creatures. The house-elves were to be freed as well, with Dobby leading them. They would be able to choose whom they worked for, if they even worked for anyone again. The Wizarding World would no longer be filled with greed and corruption. From now on, there would be trials and tests for each Witch and Wizard that wanted to work for the Ministry. There would no longer be another Fudge, Umbridge, or Percy in office. The Minister would work for the people, not him or herself. Snape had even suggested an Oath, based on magic, to insure that the Minister served the people. Harry liked that idea more and more.
Harry sighed deeply. He was finally free. Free to live how he wanted. Free to live in the open with his husband. Free to be happy. Oh, he knew it was going to be hard, keeping the peace and making the changes in the Wizarding World, but he was ready for that. And if he had to destroy a few Wizards to do that, well, what the hell. He had been trained for this.
He looked down at the old man who had manipulated his whole life. If the man had ever once shown real concern for him, if he had ever professed an ounce of caring or even love, Harry would've never gone down this path. But the Headmaster hadn't. He hadn't been anything other than a tool to the Headmaster. One to be used and then put away when he was no longer needed. Well, he was no one's tool and Dumbledore was the one that was no longer needed.
Harry glared at Dumbledore, relishing the rage that filled the old man's face. "Your time is up. You need to pay for your actions. You're no better than Voldemort. Your peers have judged you and found you guilty. Your crimes are as follows -- neglect and abuse of a child, abuse of your power and position, manipulation, theft, use of illegal dark spells, betrayal of the Fidelius Spell, and murder. The first suggestion was to put you to death, but I find that it's too quick. You would be dead and unable to regret your actions. So, instead I'm going to let you live," Harry explained.
There was a relieved look on Dumbledore's face, which immediately turned crafty. Harry shook his head. Even now, when he was defenseless, the old man was planning. "I've decided that you won't be killed. Instead, you will drink a de-aging potion. I want you in good health for this punishment, so I am allowing you to be de-aged around twenty-one, I think. Then I'm going to strip you of your magic. You'll have no more power than a Muggle. You will then be bound to the Snape family, to be used as he sees fit. You will watch as this world grows and prosper, knowing that you aren't a part of it. You will be nothing more than an observer. You will only be allowed to die when I do or if Snape allows it," Harry explained.
Dumbledore looked shocked and terrified. Harry was satisfied and started to turn away from the Headmaster when he stopped and looked back at the old man. "Oh, did I tell you that you won't be allowed to speak to anyone? You will spend your time flitting around like a ghost with no chance of communicating with anyone? Don't expect a short life either. I have the Elixir of Life. Oh yes, I found the Sorcerer Stone. You were supposed to have destroyed it many years ago. Imagine my surprise when I found ten other stones as well. You must have stolen them from Nicolas Flamel before he died. Terrible shame that, but don't worry, I'll use them well. In fact, I think there's enough for me and my family to stay alive for thousands of years. Have a wonderful life, Dumbledore. Remember, this is all your fault," Harry said. He nodded to the four guards and they dragged Dumbledore kicking and screaming from the Great Hall.
Snape looked at the other teachers questioningly. Harry glanced at them and grimaced. "Dumbledore's lackeys," he stated. "Kill them. Kill them all. I don't want a chance of some stupid rescue attempt, plus I just can't stand stupid people," he said.
Snape nodded at the two Wizards standing next to him. Fred and George had walked in when Harry had been talking to Dumbledore. They walked forward eagerly and began killing the teachers. They had changed since the death of Ron and their parents. The betrayal by Dumbledore had added an edge to their humor. They were no longer the mischievous, light wizards they used to be. Oh, they still did their pranks, but they had a love of killing that had developed the longer they had delved into the dark arts. They had researched with revenge in mind. Snape was the one who had kept them from completely falling into the darkness, but they were still darker than they had been.
"Come on, luv," his husband said as he caressed Harry's arms. "Let's go work off some of this stress. Let the twins have some fun and Snape can keep an eye on things. It's been a week since I've felt your cock in me. I need it," Sirius whispered hotly in Harry's ears.
Harry whirled around, grabbed his husband and pulled him in for a rough kiss. A few minutes later, the two parted, their breathing loud. Harry turned to Snape and yelled, "Watch out for things. I'm going to go take my husband and fuck him to death."
Snape grimaced. "Yes, my lord," he mocked.
"Prat," Harry called out cheerfully as he dragged his husband out of the hall.
Snape looked around and sighed with satisfaction. It wasn't how he thought he would go about getting power, but he was glad that he took the time to listen to Potter the night after Black's supposed death. With that one act, he had acquired an ally more powerful than Voldemort or Dumbledore. He would have the power, wealth, and knowledge that he craved, without the headache of ruling the Wizarding World. Not only that, but he had found love as well. It may not have been the way he had imagined it, but he had to admit, it was better.
