Author�s Note: This is a challenge story that I challenged some Harry Potter groups couple of years ago. The premise is Snape pairs each of the 6 years up with a member of the 6th year for a summer homework assignment (How the Other House member lives). Draco goes to live the summer holidays with yes, The Weasleys, and finds out that there is more to having money when you are wealthy with the love of your family and I mean the entire family is there including Charlie and Bill. The end of Year 6 for Draco and Year 5 for Ginny. This story was started in 2003, where it remained in my folders till recently brought out and I began to work on it.

Ron and Harry were not very happy as they looked at the magical clock get past the second hour of potions. Snape was holding the class up while he wrote something down on some parchment. It really never bothered them to wait for Snape to dismiss the class but this time was different, they both wanted to get out of the room fast before Snape or Draco did something to either of them to get detention.

Snape looked up through his greasy hair at the Slytherins who were all rapping their fingers on their tables. "20 points will be taken from each student, for rapping their fingers on their tables!"

That pretty much stopped the noise as Snape finally looked up from the parchment. "Students, I've spoken with Dumbledore about this and he agreed for the entire summer holiday, you and a partner will be living in each other's home for the entire summer. You must write what it is to be like that person living in their home. You will find out who your partner will be when you walk out to see the parchment stating who you will be staying with. I want four pages written dealing with this project and if I do not receive it; you will lose 20 house points come the start of term in September. If you do four pages or more you will gain 20 house points! Class dismissed!"

The sounds of the chairs scooting backwards were loud as everyone went racing out of the room. There were some gasps and cries as the students found out who they were to be living with for the summer months.

"Ron, you are not going to be happy with the choice Snape gave you," said Harry, as he noticed Ron walking up to the parchment that was hanging on the door. �I guess Dumbledore didn�t want Snape to put me with a Slytherin but hooked me up with a fellow Gryffindor.�

"Which Slytherin am I getting?" asked Ron, as he fingered the list running down to see the names written down.

"Malfoy!" �Weasley!� screamed Ron and Draco all at the same time.

The two sixth year students just glared at each other before they turned on their heels and stormed away - one heading towards his House Master to scream at him for assigning him who he did and the other heading towards the Headmaster's office to scream at him for allowing Snape to send students to someone's else home for the summer holiday and to a known Death Eater's home.

It was about ten minutes after Harry entered the common room, Ron came storming in and flung his book bag onto the couch, whipped out his wand and in his anger transfigured a pillow into the face of Dumbledore and started to hit it with his fists.

�He didn't drop the 'see how the other student lives during summer vacation', right?� asked Harry.

�No! What's worse is that we have to sleep in the same bed that they sleep in!� yelled Ron, flinging the pillow towards the portal and almost hit Minerva McGonagall in the face.

�What is the problem here? I heard your voices all the way down the hallway,� asked Minerva, looking at the two boys, one of whom was going red in the ears.

�Sorry, Professor but Ron didn't like the school assignment that Professor Snape gave us,� said Harry.

�Oh, I know that one. Don't worry, the summer will go fast,� replied Minerva, as she walked out of the room again.

Ron grumbled about the assignment. �You got it lucky, Harry. Snape didn't put you with Draco. I would have thought he would do that with his prize student,�

�Actually, I think Neville got it hard too. He's paired up with Vincent Crabbe, Ron,� said Harry. �I think I better write to Vernon and let him know that he won't be having me for the summer months but Seamus Finnigan, a fellow Hogwarts student.�

�Oh dung bombs�that's right. Vernon will love not having you but will probably hate having another magically inclined student living under his roof for the summer vacation,� said Ron, looking up at Harry.

�I think I will like seeing how Seamus lives. I better warn him about Uncle Vernon's hatred of magic users,� said Harry, as he got up and headed up the stairs.

Ron just sat in the chair when he figured he better owl his mum and dad about this. Maybe they can get Dumbledore to let him and Draco skip this assignment. He didn't want to go anywhere near the Malfoy mansion at all.

Dear Mum and Dad,

I'm doing fine.

School is doing all right.

I'm studying hard and one of our Professors.

Professor Snape has given us a summer vacation assignment.

I'm stuck going to the home of Draco Malfoy.

And he's coming to stay at our home for the summer months.

Can you two convince Dumbledore to let Draco and me not do this?

I do not want to stay at the Malfoy's mansion at all!

Please help me!

He went to the Owlery to get Pig and tied the message to his leg and then tossed him out the window. Ron knew it wouldn't be too long before he got his response from his parents. He knew his dad would want him to go and 'spy' on Lucius Malfoy just incase there might be some Dark Art stuff that he still owned since he was once a Death Eater, a loyal follower of Lord Voldemort.
