“Fuck me
Harry!” Draco pleaded, legs spread wide for the ambitious Gryffindor. A low
groan left Harry’s lips, looking the writhing blonde over with heated eyes. His
hands shook as he felt around the bed, their bed, for his wand, trying to calm
his breathing.
“You’re not
even prepared, let me find my wand” Harry pleaded, avoiding eye contact for
fear that he might lose all sense of himself and just start thrusting into
Draco’s hot cavern blindly.
“Fuck.Me. Now.
The only wand I’m thinking about is in clear sight! Take me like this, unprepared and dry. Make
me hurt Harry!” Draco yelled out, not caring if everyone in the apartment
building heard him. The two had been together since their seventh year together
at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry, Draco demanding that they find
their own flat immediately after graduating. It was the best five years of
their lives; the two spending nights together tangled in each other’s limbs.
Tonight was like every other night, Harry persisting in being tender while
Draco begged for his rougher side. His wild side. Harry hooked one of Draco’s leg around his own waist, pushing his
hard length against Draco’s tight entrance, watching the heated look in Draco’s
eyes before thrusting completely in.
Harry’s eyes snapped open at the sudden jolt of the muggle
bus, causing him to look around in complete confusion for a few moments before
resting back in his seat. He had been staring at the passing buildings for so
long he must have fallen asleep some time ago. He sighed quietly and pulled his
mini discman out to change the disc, putting the headphones in his ears before
turning the music on, resting his head back against the seat to watch the rain
bounce against the glass window. He let his mind reflect back to something he
was always thinking about, Draco. It had been a year since he last saw
the blonde sex god. Harry groaned slowly at the thought of his old lover and
what he had to face when going back to London. It had been his and Draco’s
five-year anniversary when he had run away. He didn’t leave a note, he didn’t
call, he just packed his clothes, left his wedding ring and disappeared into
thin air. He could only imagine how furious Draco was at him but he had to
return before the absence nearly killed him. After almost a year of being apart
he couldn’t stop thinking about the tender moments the two shared, the quiet
whispers as the passed one another and he could never, ever, forget the way
Draco kissed. Harry had to blink back the tears that threatened to spill over
his cheeks, his mind a haze as he tried to stop himself from breaking down. He
had written to Hermione a few times over the year, sending flowers to her at
the birth of her second child and a card for her birthday. He had never written
a return address and only broke down once to write to Draco but even then the
note revealed nothing and couldn’t possibly have made up for what he did. But
after a long year of being separated it was time he took the long ride home and
confronted his husband.
~*~
“All right….
Lets go over the list one more time.
300-dollar silk sheets on the bed, check.
50 candles lit around the room, check.
3 course
meal-simmering, check.
Having a boyfriend as smooth as me, priceless”.
Draco thought to
himself as he looked around the room, impressing himself with how well the
apartment looks. After living with Harry Potter for five years he had learned a
few things about his old school rival.
For example, Harry was a romantic who always wanted the deeper meaning
or a sentimental moment and as much as Draco hated it he had to admit that it
was nice once in awhile. So on a day like this one he went all out with the
touchy goodness that would make his husband melt. He had exactly 7 minutes
before his husband got home from work, which worked out perfectly with Draco’s
plan of getting in a quick shag before serving out the meal. He licked his
lips, obviously not thinking about the food. He sat gracefully at the table
that was already set for two, pouring himself a glass of champagne as he
watched the door intently, sipping casually at his drink. After 60 minutes of
continuous fidgeting and turning the stove off before burning the food to a
crisp, he remained at the table, his empty glass sitting beside his plate as his
eyes remained on the front door. His face was blank and body still, appearing
to be under complete control except for the impatient twisting of the silver
band on the ring finger on his left hand, the only sign of his aggravation.
Draco didn’t
know what time it was and in that very moment he just didn’t care. He stood in
the bedroom of his and Harry’s apartment, his blank expression slowly turning
to complete and utter sadness. He thought he had felt a presence in his bedroom
but he never thought it would have been his husband. The closet door stood wide
open, everything on the left side, Harry’s side, was gone. The suitcases at the
bottom, gone. Everything of Harry’s was gone, except for a silver ring on the
300$ silk sheets that he had bought.
In that one moment Draco’s mask was shattered.
~*~
Draco Malfoy leaned back against the armchair in his
apartment’s small study, his feet propped up on the desk with his hands clasped
over his stomach, his silver eyes unfocused as the rain started to fall
outside. His blonde hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail, keeping the
loose strands away from his perfect face. His facial expression was carefully
blank as he lost himself in his own thoughts. He felt so lost, even in his own
apartment he felt utterly lost. His apartment/loft had always been his
sanctuary, a place for peace and quiet, or for working when the hour’s late and
you couldn’t sleep, a place for him and Harry to –Potter. He sneered at nothing
in particular as his mind traveled back to a knife that was plunged so deep in
his heart he had a hard time breathing.
Has it been a
year already? He thought to himself with a sad sigh, taking a shaky breath
before letting it go in a sigh. He had lived the happiest years of his life in
this apartment, all coming to a shaky end when his love disappeared. He hasn’t
seen Potter in a bloody year, the golden boy disappearing on their five year
anniversary without a trace of where he ran off to or with who. Draco’s eyes
traveled from the window to the two rings on his left hand ring finger, both
matching and his only thread to the past.
The past…
The thought brushed against his mind and a swell of anger boiled through his
veins. He had to stop thinking of the past… he had to stop thinking about the
emerald-eyed liar and all those beautiful words that he thought meant
something. He had a girlfriend now… he had a new life. One without the
troublesome Gryffindor yet, he couldn’t stop wearing those two rings, he
couldn’t give up. When the door opened and slammed shut he sighed, tipping his
head back to listen to his girlfriend of two months sing some pop song. Draco
had known that he was into guys since he was 14 but after the disaster, that’s
name was Harry, he decided to try out the fairer sex to see if there was any
kind of an attraction. Kim was his latest amusement, having been with her for
the past two months, surprising all his friends. He knew he doesn’t love her
and he knew that she was in love with his money and… stamina. But if he let her
go then it truly meant that he was utterly alone, a meaningless fling was
better to keep you company in bed then your shadow.
“Draco, baby?”
Came Kim’s high-pitched yell from the kitchen.
“Yeah?” Draco
asked, shaken from his thoughts.
“That mud blood friend
of yours is having her retched little baby shower thing tonight… You realize if
you hadn’t said we would go, we could be at your mothers!” She yelled, clearly
unhappy with the idea of spending time with Hermione. A smile touched Draco’s
lips, the one good thing about having a pureblood as a lover was the mutual
hatred of public appearances with those unworthy. Draco absently looked at his
watch, standing from his chair with a bone cracking stretch, moving to his
bedroom to pick out an outfit that cost more then the entire Weasley family
could afford even with their combined income. Another good thing about having a
pureblood for a lover, you don’t have to play nice to the little people.
~*~
Harry barely had time to drop his suitcases down in a room at
the leaky cauldron before Tom’s arms were smacking him on the back and
welcoming him back. Harry smiled politely and nodded his thanks, asking Tom to
keep quiet about his return until Harry had some rest after his long trip.
Unfortunately for Harry, word travels fast in the wizard world. Harry had just
taken off his shoes to crawl into bed for a nap when there was a loud knock on
the door. Almost dreading whom it could be he opened it only a inch before
peeking out.
“Open this door
immediately Harry or I’ll break the fucking door down!” Harry wasn’t sure which
one was more surprising, hearing the anger in Lupins voice or hearing him
curse. He swallowed hard, his hand shaking slightly in dread as he swung the
door open. He was expecting a good hard punch or a nasty hex so it left him in
complete shock as Lupin gathered Harry into his arms and hugged him close.
“Remus?” Harry
asked tenderly, taking hold of his shoulders and pulling him back a bit to look
his face over.
“Oh Harry my boy!
Welcome back! We were all so worried about you! If I had to listen to
Hermione’s ramblings for another minute I swear I was going to drive my head
into the wall. Where have you been? You look positively worn out. Sit by the
fire and I’ll get you some tea. Shoo! Go on!” Harry opened his mouth to protest
but shut him mouth an audible click and moved to sit in an old armchair by the
fire, watching as Remus prepared tea for the two.
“You’re not angry
with me for leaving?” Harry asked quietly, taking his cup from Remus’ hands as
the older male took a seat across from him.
“Well… I have to
say that we were all pretty angry for the first few months but we all came to
realize that you needed a break from the wizarding world. Everyone knew you and
what you looked like so we figured that you disappeared within the muggle world
for some solitude.” Lupin took a small sip of his tea and winced at the warmth,
blowing the steam off the top as he regarded Harry carefully. “Are you staying
for long?”
“Yes.” Harry said
quietly, taking a gulp from his teacup, not minding the heat one bit “I’m here
for good now. I was thinking about taking up McGonagall’s over of teaching at
Hogwarts – I don’t think going back to competitive Quidditch will be right for
me.” Lupin gave a large nod of approval and patted Harry’s knee.
“You’ll be a fine
teacher Harry! When do you plan on telling Hermione and Ron? Are you going to
the party?”
“Er… What party?”
Harry asked in mild confusion.
“Oh right right,
you haven’t been here to hear the news. Hermione’s with child again and there’s
going to be a party downstairs for the two. They would both love it if you
came! You could write them a letter and I’ll deliver it personally” Harry’s
mood brightened a bit, looking Lupin over and for the first time realizing how
much he missed the wizarding world. He thought about Hermione’s and Ron’s
smiling face as they held their first three children and smiled himself.
“Its awfully
tempting” Harry murmured softly.
“You could see
everyone again. Fred and George are closing down the shop to make it. The
entire Weasley clan will be here, not to mention Snape and Draco but I imagine
both will be la-” At Harry’s sudden intake of breath Lupin froze midsentence
and looked at him in surprise. Harry placed the teacup on the small table
between them, not looking up for a long moment before clearing his throat.
“H-how is Draco?”
Harry asked after only a moment’s hesitation, his index finger circling the tip
of his teacup, avoiding eye contact.
“Oh you know…”
Lupin murmured, avoiding eye contact as well.
“Tell me the
truth Remus” Harry said forcefully, resting his shaking hands in his lap.
“Draco was pretty
shaken up after you left… He didn’t talk to anyone for almost three months and
then he showed up with Kim out of the blue. None of us know where she came from
but apparently she’s from a pureblood family with huge-” Remus held his hands
out in front of him, his hands in front of his chest to demonstrate what he was
talking about. His words however fell short when he realized how pale Harry had
gotten. He lowered his hands to his lap, giving Harry a truly sad expression.
“I’m sorry Harry.”
“It’s all right
Remus. I knew he was with someone I just didn’t know it was a female” His heart
broke in two all over again, his bottom lip trembled as he stared at the floor,
tears welling up in his eyes. He wasn’t brave enough to look up at Lupin, hands
clenching and unclenching as he stared at the old rug in front of the fire.
“What do you
mean?” Remus asked in concern, leaning forward in his chair to watch Harry’s
face, a knife piercing his own heart at the look of utter despair on Harry’s
face.
“I-I-I knew h-he
was ch-cheating on me. Th-that’s why I l-left” Harry broke into quiet sobs,
hands over his face in humiliation. He was the savior of the wizarding world
and here he was sitting in the leaky cauldron crying his eyes out in front of a
man who he felt was a father. His body trembled in exhaustion as he wept
quietly. “I-I love him Remus! A-after all th-this I l-love him s-so much!”
“Oh Harry! I had
no idea he was with her while seeing you!” Remus pulled Harry into a hug and
stroked his back, the younger wizard slipping from his chair to rest in Remus’
arms, crying his heart out. After 20 minutes of sobbing and tears Remus tucked
Harry into the bed, the youth passing out in his arms from the pain that
coursed through his body. Remus watched him sleep for a few moments before
turning to head out the door, shutting it behind him and pulling out his wand,
he tapped the door lightly and listened as the door locked itself. Once Harry
was secure he made his way down the stairs, running his fingers through his
hair to try and calm his growing headache down.
~*~
“Draco darling,
there’s someone at the door!” Kim called out from the bedroom as he began
dressing for Hermione’s party. Draco sighed to himself, having just gotten out
of the shower only moments before. He pulled the towel off from around his
waist and tossed it towards the hamper that was overflowing with Kim’s own
dirty clothing.
“What’s wrong
with your feet?” He asked, doing a quick spell to dry him off, giving an
irritated look towards the pile of dirty clothes.
“You can’t
honestly expect me to answer the door without a stitch of makeup on!” She cried
in horror, sitting in front of her makeup table to look herself over in the
mirror. She wore only her underwear, brushing her light brown hair out of her
face.
“All right. How
about all your dirty clothes that are everywhere?” Draco asked while pulling on
his bathrobe, the visitor knocking again and not sounding too pleased at having
to wait outside.
“Do I look like a
house elf?” Kim said with a little too much attitude for Draco’s liking,
raising his wand to hex her sorry ass but at another sharp knock he whirled
around on his heel and headed towards the door.
“Who the hell is
it?!” Draco yelled towards the door as he came from the bedroom.
“Speak to me like
that one more time, Mr. Malfoy, and I’ll shove your wand somewhere unpleasant…
sideways.” Drawled a low and heavily sarcastic voice, causing the young wizard
to nearly stumble in surprise at the voice of his godfather. He opened the door
wide to let him in, it being a very rare occurrence to see the Potion master
anywhere outside a classroom.
“Severus! What
brings you here?” Draco said as he shut the door behind his godfather. Severus
strolled into the livingroom in his regular attire, the robes dramatically
swirling behind him.
“Seeing how
things are with… Kim” He said with a disapproving look, looking towards the
bedroom where he assumed the airhead was hiding herself.
“Oh things are
excellent – Just got done fucking her brains out”
“Thank you for
over sharing Draco.” Snape sighed. “I’m here to give you some last minute
advice… Don’t come tonight and if you do don’t bring her.”
“Excuse me?” Came
a voice from behind Draco, causing them both to turn to look at Kim in
surprise. She stood with her arms crossed over her chest, leaning against the
doorway with a small glare towards Snape. “I was invited too and I’m going” she
said in a rather demanding voice to Snape who didn’t like her tone at all.
“If I wanted to
speak to a brainless twit I’d give Weasley a call – I know it’s hard for you to
do considering it’s the only thing you can do, but shut your mouth.” Draco knew
that he should be pissed at Snape’s words but he couldn’t help giving a tiny
smile at the look on Kim’s face. She stared speechless, clearly never having
anyone speak to her like that before. “Now. As I was saying. You both should
think twice on attending tonight’s activities”
“Thanks for the
rather… odd advice but we’re going. It’s about time we made another social
appearance.” Draco said in a calm voice, ignoring the still angry look on Kim’s
face, her body poised as if she were about to attack Snape.
“If you’re going
then I am too” Snape said with a large smirk, turning promptly on his heel and
heading towards the front door, swinging it open with a gleeful look. Draco’s
confusion was written all over his face, watching Snape move and calling out
before the door was completely closed.
“Why the hell
would you go to a party the mudblood was throwing?” Draco asked, not able to
contain his confusion.
“Because I can’t
wait to see what Potter says to you two when you walk in the door” And with a
final wave of farewell he was gone, the door clicking shut. Draco stood there
in utter surprise and shock. He distantly though he heard Kim huff and head
back to the bedroom to finish getting ready but Draco’s body was frozen in
place, his eyes never leaving the door in front of him.
Could he mean… but it wasn’t possible if… was he telling
the truth…. Could Potter really be back?
