Title: To Prevent….To Protect

Summary: Helga Lupin lost her parents to Voldemort, now a
third year student she wants to prevent her parent’s deaths. This is the story
of Helga Lupin, a Gryffindor that will do anything to prevent and to protect.Disclaimer: I own nothing, but Helga and her sweet dreams.
Chapter 1: The Dwell On Dreams
‘It doesn’t do to
dwell on dreams and forget to live.’Professor Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter
and the Sorcerers Stone.Helga was running,
she was always running. Running away from the truth, running away from being
different, always running away. Helga Lupin was a third year Gryffindor and the
only daughter of Hermione Granger and Remus Lupin. She didn’t know that much
about her parents, except that they had both been in Gryffindor and so much
alike. Severus Snape raised her from the moment her parents had died and had
always told her a line that he had learned from Dumbledore when Helga cried at
night.“It doesn’t do well
to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”Helga never believed a word of it.
Now she was
about ready to break wizard law by traveling back to before her parents had
died. She just wanted to be there to keep them from going into the house, the
house of Tom Riddle. The Time Turner that she had was one that Ginny Snape had
given her, telling her that she would never tell a soul that she was given an
illegal Time Turner. She promised, but now she was about to break her word. She
didn’t care about the law, she cared about her parents.She used
her wand to set it to the right time and then she disappeared, the world
disappearing in colors. The ride was hard on her, but she managed to make it to
the end. However, when she landed she noticed that it was raining hard. She
knew this wasn’t right, it had been a cool night when they attacked Riddle’s
house. She looked around and saw that she was at Hogwarts, which confused her
even more.However,
her brain told her to get in where it was dry and so she hurried across to the
oak doors and opening them, she entered.“God, Noah could
recreate the flood with the rain out there,” she muttered.She then looked around the entrance hall. Nothing was
broken, or damaged. Something was very, very, wrong here.“Excuse me,” said a
voice.She turned to see a horrible man standing there.
“Yes,” Helga said.
He smirked.
“All Hogwarts
students are suppose to be in the Great Hall, my, my, where in trouble now.”And before Helga could move, he pulled at her robes and forced
her into the Great Hall.“Hay, let me go,”
Helga yelled. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”“Rubbish,” he
snapped. “Dumbledore, this girl was spying inside the school.”Helga turned to face the Headmaster and after taking one
look at him, she fainted.“Well, that’s a
first,” Dumbledore said. “Never had a student faint on me
just by seeing me.”Note: It seems that Helga knows how to make a good first
