Title: What I Did During The Summer

Rating: R

Summary: Hermione is due to start her seventh year at
Hogwarts. However, she has a little surprise for Harry and Ron, one that will
test their friendship.

Chapter 1: Hermione�s Dirty Little Secret

�� Eighteen-year-old
Hermione Snape hummed as she got ready to start her final year at Hogwarts. She
was looking forward to be back in Professor McGonagall�s classroom or looking
up to Professor Flitwick. She tapped her trunk with her wand, shrinking it and
then stuff it in her pocket.

�� I wish you weren�t
leaving this time,� her father said.

Hermione smiled at him.

�� I know, but I�m a
married women and I�ve got to leave. Severus sent a letter telling me that he
found the perfect house in Hogsmead.�

Her mother smiled at her.

�� He�s always caring
for you.�

Hermione blushed.

�� Ya,� Hermione
said. �And since this is his final year, I�m helping him with setting up his
new shop.�

�� Does Dumbledore
know about this?� her mother asked.

Hermione shook her head.

�� He�s going to give
notice in about five months. He wants to give Dumbledore plenty of time to find
a new Potions Master and Head of House. I�m going to co-own the shop, so I�ll
have loads of new responsibilities.�

Her father laughed.

�� That�s my girl,
always thinking outside the box. That�s what I like about your new husband.
Thinks just like our baby girl.�

�� Well at least send
us a letter and tell us what happens.�

�� Alright.�

And she kissed her parents goodbye and Disapperated.

�� Hermione
appeared outside the Hogwarts gates and walked down to Hogsmead. She noticed
that most of the villiage had been rebuilt since
Harry had faught against the Dark Lord. Hermione
almost blushed when she remembered that Severus propose to her the moment Harry
shoved Gryffindor�s sword into Voldemort�s gut.
Hermione knew right away that life would never be the same.

�� She found
the shop that Severus was about to open and noticed that Remus was busy adding
the dark paint that would make it a well-known part of the village. The sign
that read �Kauvara Potions� was hanging in the front,
flashing different darken colors. He looked down when he heard footsteps.

�� Hermione,� Remus
said, letting him self go and landing on his feet. �What are you doing here?�

��
I co-own the shop silly,� Hermione said. �Where�s Severus?�

�� Inside,� Remus
said. �He got a huge order of supplies and he�s sorting them out. I wouldn�t
bother him if I were you.�

�� Of course,�
Hermione said. �Just tell him, when he isn�t busy, that I stopped by.�

Remus nodded and Hermione headed the opposite way.

�� Hermione
stopped by Honeydukes and got herself some candy and
then headed back to the castle. Hermione was glad to see that Severus had given
Remus something to do instead of moping around, waiting for Tonks to come
around. She felt bad for her old friend, since it seemed that no one wanted to
be with him. When she arrived at the castle she was greeted by Professor
McGonagall.

�� Hello, Hermione
dear,� McGonagall said.

�� Hello, Professor,�
Hermione said back. �I thought that I was meeting with Dumbledore.�

�� Oh you are, but I
wanted to greet you first,� she said. �I�m sorry about all this trouble, but it
seems that the board is clamping down more and more on relationships, not that
I didn�t mind the wedding. It was wonderful, the food was wonderful.�

�� I�m glad that you
liked it,� Hermione said. �Personally I can�t wait until I�m out of here. Then
I can settled with my husband and have a wonderful
life.�

�� I agree,�
McGonagall said. �However, I don�t think he�s going to take Severus leaving in
five months lightly. He kind of will miss him.�

�� I know, but I
heard that Fleur is a excellent Potions Mistress.
Severus recommends her highly.�

McGonagall nodded.

�� She does seem
highly qualified for the job,� Minerva said. �Though I�m sure
that Harry will be relieved when he finds out that Severus is leaving.�

Hermione laughed.

�� Oh, he�ll be happy
alright,� Hermione said. �But I know they won�t be happy with the

fact that I�m married to him.�

McGonagall had a feeling that Hermione was right.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

�� Hermione, come
in,� Dumbledore said when Hermione opened the door.

Hermione stepped in and closed the door behind her. She sat.

�� I hope that your
summer was alright,� he said.

�� It was nice,�
Hermione answered.

�� Well I�m glad to
hear that, my dear,� Dumbledore said. �Now I�ve informed the board of your
marriage to Severus and they�ve said that you can�t be personally involved with
him while he�s still teaching. However, when you leave school then that will be
a different matter.�

�� I understand,
sir,� Hermione said. �But, I don�t want to stay in Gryffindor tower. After word
gets out that I�m married to Severus, I might not be wanted.�

Dumbledore sighed.

�� I understand,�
Dumbledore said. �I believe that Rowena Ravenclaw�s quarters have been done
over. You can use them, if you wish.�

�� Thank you,�
Hermione said.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

�� So how did things
go with those ingredients?� Remus asked Severus when he told him he could come
back in.

�� Well,� Severus
answered. �You know, it�s going to be nice to get away from Hogwarts once and
for all. I�m just tired of teaching dunderheads that will never amount to
anything.�

Remus looked at him.

�� I hope that your not putting Harry in that category.�

Severus laughed.

�� Right now, I don�t
care,� Severus said. �In a few months I�ll be free of even him and that will be
wonderful.�

�� I bet it will be.�
