The One I Love
I watch him all the time.
No one seems to notice, for which I am grateful. If they knew of my obsession with him they would surely laugh. Me: the forgetful, clumsy semi-squib; in love with him: one of the most powerful and influential wizards in the world and he isn't even out of school yet.
I watch him as they fight, words like snake bites flying from both of their mouths, hair in disarray from the sneaky hex cast when he was distracted by the insult to his parents, eyes flashing...
Merlin, he's gorgeous.
I wish I stood even half a chance of catching his interest.
What do I have to offer him? Sure my blood is of the purest wizarding stock, sure I have plenty of money. But I'm still just useless, chubby Neville Longbottom.
