During the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric and Harry became so close that they ended up creating a blood bond between them which made them as good as brothers. When Cedric died, Harry felt broken and mourned his 'brother'.

That summer he went back to Privet Drive and continued to mourn that loss until the following month when he received an official letter from the American Magic Association whom informed him that Edward Cullen was claiming him as family and wanted him to come live with him.

He refused, informing them that he wanted a blood test done before he would accept because he couldn't trust people just on their word because of whom he was.

A week later he was flown into America, Seattle, Washington specifically, to get the tests done and so that he could meet his maybe relative.

When he walked off of the plane he was met by a tall blond haired man holding a sign with his name on it.

Walking over with a smile, Harry held out his hand and said, “I'm Harry Potter nice to meet you Mr...”

“Cullen. Dr. Carlisle Cullen. My adopted son, Edward, is the one who thinks he's related to you. He asked me to meet you and take your blood. I think he wants me to see how you feel about all of this.”

Driving straight to the hospital, they were allowed into one of the rooms where Carlisle quickly drew blood with the provided needle and within seconds they were done.

“Well that was a little quick. I wonder how fast the blood tests will take.”

“There is a rush order to have them done so hopefully we'll know by tonight or tomorrow. We would have had them done with a Mediwitch or Mediwizard, but with your name we didn't think they'd keep it too quiet...vows or not.”

“I appreciate that.” Harry said, rolling his sleeves back down and stood up from the chair. “Is it possible that I can meet Edward?

“I'm sure he'd like that. How about I call him and have him meet us at your hotel after he gets done with classes?”

“Oh he's in school?”

“Yes he's in his first semester at the local community college. He wanted to stay close to home.”

Nodding, Harry followed the doctor out of the hospital and to his car.

Five hours later, while Harry was watching a movie with Edward, ignoring the eerie fact of how much he resembled Cedric, the phone rang and Harry snatched it up, putting it on speaker phone.

“Mr. Potter, this is Seattle Memorial Hospital with the results of your tests. Would you like to come in and hear them or just over the phone?”

“You can just say it over the phone.” Harry said after sharing a look with Edward.

“Congratulations. You are related.” With that, the person he was talking to hung up without a goodbye or anything else.

“Um...was he really supposed to just blurt that out like that?” Harry said, clicking off the phone.

“No.” Edward said with a laugh. “But who cares. So...you want to meet the rest of the family?” Edward asked, warily.

Smiling, Harry said, “I'd love to. It's nice to actually have blood family.”
