The dungeons of Hogwarts were much warmer after the war ended, thanks to Harry Potter’s influence. He had vanquished the Dark Lord Voldermort aka Tom Marvolo Riddle to the farthest reaches of hell and made sure his soul never returned. Although, the best Headmaster in Hogwarts history, Albus Dumbledore, did not survive the battle royale, that had encompassed the school and the surrounding grounds, Dumbledore would forever be deemed the hero of the day for his sacrifice for the wizarding world.
Harry Potter sat in a chair facing the fire in the chambers of the Potions Master of Hogwarts, Severus Snape, having a drink and contemplating recent years after the battle. It had been more than eight years since the final battle and Harry’s fame had forced him to stay in the lime light. The young wizard had tried and failed to fade into obscurity, but failed with every opportunity. He had been forced into an advisory position at the British Ministry of Magic for Defense against the Dark Arts, which thanks to Harry were now called Defense, Evil, and the Dark. DED was the most talked about class at Hogwarts for the teachers each year, because there was still a different teacher each year, and the new curriculum it covered. There was a wider array of creatures studied, spells learned, and defense tactics taught than ever before in recent history of the school.
After revamping the security of the British Ministry and educational system, Harry had finally figured out how he could fade into that place called obscurity, without real notice. It had occurred to him while sitting by the fire this evening waiting on the snarky potions professor to finish his evening of Gryffindor detention. Yes, Snape still discriminated against the lions, even after Harry and he buried their animosity for each other.
“America!” The word came out like an exhalation of all his hopes and dreams. No wonder people flocked to the continent with that same ideal no matter where they came from. America had that feel to it that said here, I can start over, or be better than I was, but Harry knew that the country had seen none of Voldemort’s megalomaniacal destruction or planning. No one knew who Harry Potter was or his contribution to wizarding society and magic, hell America barely had laws for magical people. They concerned themselves with vampires and were-animals. The country was so new that they had lost the fear of what magic could really do, because it was out in the open, but low key.
Harry smiled into the fire thinking about where he could go and start a real life that wasn’t so public. Even the muggles knew him for saving the Prime Minister from attack, just not why or how. America was the key.
He continued to smile and get lost in his thoughts not hearing the door to the private chambers open and admit their owner.
“Why am I not surprised to see you sitting in my favorite chair and drinking my best spirits?” The drawl made Harry’s lips curl further up and he glanced up to see the tall dark man standing over him.
“It’s Tuesday.” He answered the question not asked.
“Is that supposed to mean something?” Snape picked the glass of amber liquor out of Harry’s hand, “Move.” Harry quickly acquiesced and moved to the opposite seat. A wave of his hand had another glass of drink floated into his hand.
“I don’t think it is really the fact that you have made yourself comfortable in my seat and chambers, or the declaration of the day of the week, I think I am annoyed that you got past my new wards.” Snape sat and sipped from the pilfered drink.
“Sev, I am not without my resources. I’m brilliant, you know.” Harry laughed at the scowl that graced the man’s face. “Plus I’m your husband. Why wouldn’t I be welcome?” The scars visible down the lower half of the left hand side of his face did not detract from the beauty of the man. Snape could not hold the false bravado of the scowl and smiled back at Harry. The slight baring of fang made the Gryffindor take in a breath. It never failed the reminder of Severus’ death to make Harry regret the losses of the war.
“Are you hungry?” Harry’s smile faltered under the unwelcome memory of watching Severus bleed out after the bite from Nagini and then the specter of the lost hero that returned weeks later when Harry was at his lowest about the deaths of friends and foes. Severus had come up with a potion to combat the forced slumber of day and aversion to daylight, to continue teaching. The one plus from the Professor dying was the vamp that bit him was of a line that made you more beautiful for seducing victims. The classes after Snape started teaching again were a heap worse than before, not because of incompetent imbeciles, but blushing, giggling girls and lewd and lascivious boys being distracted by Snape’s new fair visage.
Snape seemed to catch the regret in Harry’s eyes, “Please refrain from being melancholy. I have just returned from a room full of crushingly aroused children made worse by the sweat from their vigorous cauldron scrubbing. I would like to enjoy this visit. Gryffindors are so potent, do you bathe in horomones?” Snape drained his glass and it refilled automatically. “Yes, I am a bit peckish, to answer your question.”
“I am not being melancholy; I am being introspective. There is a difference.”
“Indeed. How did you get past my wards?”
“Ha! I knew you wouldn’t let it go. I asked the castle to move the door. No anchor for the wards, no obstruction to enter.” Harry shrugged a negligent shoulder at the open mouth staring at him.
“You think well outside the box at all times, don’t you?”
“It is only because so many people think in it.” Harry’s initial smile and pleasure of this visit returned. “I’ve decided to go to America to escape my notoriety.”
The statement did not immediately register with Snape, so the sputter of liquid over his robes did not surprise Harry, just amused him.
“Is it so unheard of? Think about it, less rules and strictures, anonymity in public, and no fucking Minister of Magic.” Harry sighed in bliss over the last thought.
“The States are practically wild and untamed,” Snape paused as he noticed Harry perk up at that statement, “no, you would have no problem with that at all, would you?”
“No, in fact I think I like the idea even more. It will be a new adventure all over again. I haven’t felt this excited of the unknown since I got my Hogwarts letter.” Harry was smiling from ear to ear and Severus could not help but bask in the glow. It seemed brighter than the fire that burn in the hearth.
“Where will you go? I don’t think the Ministry will let you leave.”
“They can’t stop me and I can make untraceable portkeys, so…” Harry knew his plan was raw, but America was a good idea. “I will throw a dart at the map and go wherever it lands.”
Snape’s mouth curled at the thought, “I have a map here if you would like to use it.” Snape waved his hand and a map unfurled on the opposite wall. It showed color coded states for ingredients to be found. Harry knew this was a challenge to see how convicted he was to this idea of leaving. He conjured a dart out of the air and threw it over his shoulder. The flair of it made the Potion Master snort in amusement.
The dart flew straight and true, but little did the Savior know that fate would once again decide to grant him an adventure that would change and challenge him like Voldemort could not. It hit the wall with a dull thunk somewhere in the mid west of the United States. Harry rose from the chair and walked to the map and read the state and city where the dart landed.
“St. Louis, Missouri. The Show me State. Show you what?” Harry smiled at the thought of a state with an unofficial nickname like that. “Sev, we are moving to St. Louis.”
“Indeed, but how will you get past Molly to leave the country?” Severus smirked as Harry cringed at the mention of his adoptive mother. Harry turned to comment but was captivated by the beauty that confronted him. He just stood silent as his eyes roamed the man seated before him. Severus was a vision after his death, beauty in death. His once hooked nose was now straight. His thin lips were a plump pink that begged for a kiss. And, his pale sallow skin was still pale, but it was like smooth clean porcelain now. Harry was transfixed by the vampire.
Severus noticed what happened and smiled at the rare occurrence. It wasn’t often that Harry let himself fall under his thrall. “Come here, Mr. Potter.” The command was subtle but enough to break the stubborn Gryffindor from the trance.
“You haven’t called me Potter in ages.” Harry walked over to the vamp and knelt in front of him. He beared his neck for Snape and closed his eyes.
Instead of lowering his head to the bare expanse of flesh, Severus took Harry’s mouth instead. Harry moaned instantly into the cool mouth and tongue that invaded his warmth. Severus ravaged his mouth and lifted him into his lap. Harry had never managed to get taller with the amount of power he wielded, so he fit perfectly in Severus’ lap.
Severus moved from the warmth of Harry’s mouth to his neck. Severus ran a cool tongue over the warm flesh; he could feel the blood rush under the surface. He clamped his mouth over a spot below Harry’s ear and sucked the blood underneath to the surface. He lifted his head to see the bruised flesh and moaned at the beauty. His fangs elongated and pierced the patch of skin, sending blood pouring into the vampire’s mouth. Harry tasted so sweet and powerful. It was like savoring a fine liqueur. It was too heady for Severus to keep his control, so Harry simply submitted to avoid injury, although he could subdue Severus if needed.
Harry was pulled up to straddle Severus’ lap and their groins met in a flaming desire to be sated. They ground together until Severus detached from Harry’s neck. A small line of blood escaped down the corner of the vampire’s mouth; Harry did not hold back his tongue that snaked out to lick the errant elixir of life and join their mouths together in a conflagration of passion. The sweet copper flavor took them both to a height close to orgasm, but not quite there.
Severus moved his hands from stabilizing Harry at his waist, moving them down to cup and squeezed the firm globes of his ass. He felt the taut fabric barrier keeping him away from a wonderful prize, an orgasm. He ran a hand over the seam of Harry’s trousers making the younger man’s breath hitch. He placed his fingers on either side of the sewn binding and ripped them apart.
Harry’s breath caught at the sound of the ripping fabric, but bit into the now warm skin of Severus’ neck as a finger traced his entrance before it sunk into his tight hole. Harry rocked on the finger pushing in and pulling out of him. Severus added two more fingers before Harry could adjust and felt gratified when Harry seemed to stop breathing for a few moments.
“Oh, Sev, feels so good.” Harry moaned and rocked his hard member against Severus’ abdomen, helping the fingers inside him thrust harder.
Severus vanished his pants and impaled Harry without removing his fingers. The Gryffindor came in an instant. Severus removed his fingers, but continued to thrust his cock in and out of Harry. Harry bounced on the vampire’s lap with Severus’ hands holding him steady as he moved. Severus finally gave in totally to the urge to take Harry. He firmly held the man in his lap still, beginning to thrust in earnest.
Harry screamed at the pleasurable treatment, “Yes, fuck me Sev, fuck me.” And Severus did just that until they both came, Severus shooting seed into Harry and Harry creaming the inside of his trousers and pants.
“That was brilliant.” Harry said nuzzling Snape’s neck. “I would miss this so much.”
“Would?” The deep velvet baritone asked to the ear he was nibbling.
“I am not leaving you here,” Harry lifted his head to frown at Snape. “Did you think I would?”
“Of course, it would be logical if you are trying to get away from your notoriety.”
Harry laughed a bit at the statement, “Sev, when in the last fifteen years have you ever recognized me for my notoriety? I seem to remember in school you constantly berating me for being the Boy-Who-Lived, Gryffindor’s Golden Boy, and, my favorite, Savior of the Wizarding World. All of which, you felt that I did not deserve and was nothing but an attention seeking brat.”
Snape had the good manner to look chagrin, “Indeed, that is how I characterized you, but I have come to appreciate your talents of late.”
“I know what talents you appreciate,” Harry punctuated his statement by rubbing himself against Snape.
“Insolent brat,” he said, but he smiled too.
“That sounds better. How could I leave my one grounding element here and I am sorry, but I don’t think you would have a good time without me around.” Harry knew his cheek would get a reaction out of Snape, but when the man just pulled him closer and kissed his neck, he went with it.
“I will go, but I believe we must negotiate for me. I would be an official ‘person’ in the eyes of the American government and I believe there is a Master of City in St. Louis.”
“I have some friends in the Ministry that can be trusted, plus the Minister owes me a huge favor.”
“I believe Draco would be relieved to get rid of his competition, but he may fight you for me.”
“Oh no, you will be a part of the favor, Sev.” Harry pushed his nose back into the vamp’s neck and inhaled. Severus was unique among the undead. He still retained a semblance of life, because of his magic and Harry’s magic combined. He still couldn’t retain a normal body temperature, but he wasn’t truly all dead either.
“I assume we will leave when the school year ends?”
“I wouldn’t want to take away the Hogwarts’ Heart Throb.”
“Must you be so tiresome?” Snape stood depositing Harry on the ground and walking to his bedroom.
“America, Sev, you can’t be so stiff.” Harry called after his lover.
Guilty Pleasures was the most popular male strip club in St. Louis. It also housed the offices of the Master of City, Jean-Claude, no last name, just Jean-Claude. The only vampires with last names were the young ones. The recently made still got to keep their names thanks to the new laws on the United States. All vampires were legal citizens and subject to the laws of the land. There was no outright killing of the undead. It took a warrant and an executioner to put down a vamp.
Jean-Claude sat behind his desk. His old style clothing with lacy sleeves were only modernized by the thigh high boots hidden behind his desk. He was going over paperwork that needed his approval. Among the paperwork was a request from a Severus Snape, a Brit, to enter the territory for residential purposes. He had already been approved for a visa and he was going to be coming in a month’s time. Jean-Claude raised his eyebrow, but figured a vampire so young could not be any trouble. Little did the Master of City know that the vampire in question wasn’t going to be any trouble at all, but would be the only rein on the trouble that was Harry Potter.
Harry and Severus were taking a portkey to the St. Louis airport. Severus had expressed to Harry the time and effort it took to fly muggle transport. They had only been approved for visa because the Minister got jobs for them as preternatural experts with the local police department. So Severus was now Harry’s personal assistant.
The portkey was set to activate in late afternoon so that Severus did not have to deal with high sun. The vampire stood next to Harry outside Hogwarts. The castle had been their home for most of both men’s lives. They stood looking at the group of people closest to them. Harry held Teddy’s hand and put an arm around Severus as the portkey activated and in a few moments they were in a warded room in an invisible part of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
The facility was crowded so Harry quickly placed a tracking charm on Teddy if they got separated. They had sent everything ahead and had an agency buy property and a local wizard to ward it before they arrived.
An hour of traveling later and Harry, Severus, and Teddy made it to their new home outside of St. Louis. The house was surrounded by heavy woods, but sat in an acre clearing. It looked like a two story log cabin, but in grander scale. The wraparound porch sported wood theme lounge furniture and a bench swing. Teddy detached his hand from Harry and ran to the porch and jumped up on the bench swing laughing happily.
“I think he likes it, Sev.”
“It would seem so. I would say it is eclectic.”
“I had the decorators prepare a surprise for you.” Harry smiled up at Severus as they walked into the foyer of the great room. Harry fell to the ground laughing when he saw the scowl and heard the growl from Snape. The whole room was done in Gryffindor red and gold.
“This is atrocious and offensive. I will not live in such a gaudy home.” Severus walked back out the front door and plopped down on one of the porch chairs.
“Sev, come back in I fixed it. Come see.”
“I better not see green and silver either. Over twenty years of that can depress a person beyond repair.”
“I agree with you there.” Harry led Snape back through the front door and the great room. It was now done in muted browns, taupe, and beige with accents of bright color. It was met with Severus’ approval as he nodded to Harry. “The bedroom is supposed to be decadent, crimson and silver.”
Harry smiled as they headed up the stairs to show Teddy his room. The little Lupin rushed into his room excited over the little wizards casting spells at each other over the walls. The ceiling was charmed with fluffy clouds and sunshine. There was an attached playroom off the bedroom that housed his toys and broom. He was a happy eight year old. They left Teddy to his room. Harry made sure to get a home near woodlands so that he could accompany Teddy on the full moons safely. Teddy Lupin had not been lucky enough to escape the lycanthropy that had plagued his father, but maybe the local wolf pack leader could help him. Harry had done his research on the were-packs of the U.S. He would find a way to introduce Teddy and get the specialized help that was not available in England.
Harry and Severus had finally settled down to the living room enjoying their new home when a house elf popped in to announce dinner.
“Mitzy, is telling Master Potter that dinner is ready.” The elf popped out again. It had been decided that one of the Hogwarts elves would go with the two men, because they were incapable, according to McGonagall, of taking care of themselves and their home. So Mitzy was recruited out of the large amount of elves that volunteered for the job and move.
Because of Severus’ unique condition he could not tolerate solid food, but he could take in liquids. They sat eating quietly until Harry couldn’t take the silence.
“So what do you think of our new home?”
“I think as long as the lab is fully stocked, I could care less. However, the bedroom is satisfactory.” Severus was secretly pleased with the house and the lab and Harry, but he could not let go of his affected persona of the snarky potion master.
“I think you like it all and just want to keep your old appearances, but we are in America now for a reason. We can be ourselves, not who the public makes of us.”
“You are annoying.” Severus picked up a goblet of wine and sipped. He stiffened and Harry noticed.
“What’s wrong?”
“We have company at the door.” Severus answered, coming to his feet. A spell thrown towards the stairs insured that Teddy would be protected and not come downstairs. They both drew up their defenses and power to wrap around them to confront this unknown threat.
“What is it, can you tell?” Harry asked Snape as they walked towards the door.
“Two vampires, powerful. I don’t feel any ill intent, but they’re strangers.”
“Well, it seems the wards are holding. Let’s greet our guests.” Harry went to the door and opened it. His mouth dropped open at the sight in front of him. Two of the most beautiful vampires he had ever seen stood on his door step. One of them had deep blue eyes and curly raven tresses and the other had pale blond hair, not Malfoy blond, but pale with blue eyes the color of a clear blue sky. The blonde seemed to be hiding half of his face behind a curtain hair. Harry could not help the hand that lifted from his side to reach for the vampire. The vampire hesitated as he reached out. Harry brushed away the hair and saw the scars that graced half of the vampire’s face. He moved away from Harry’s touch and let the hair fall back in place.
“You’re beautiful. Is this the welcoming committee, because I am glad we moved?” Harry turned to smile up at Severus, but frowned when he saw the intense look on his face. Harry looked at the object of such intense concentration for Severus and saw him fixated on the other brunette vampire.
Harry dropped his hand and turned and placed a hand on Severus’ arm, “What’s wrong, love?”
“This is Jean-Claude the Master of City.” Turning his attention to the other vampire, “And this is…” The question was answered quickly by Jean-Claude.
“This is Asher, my second, mon frère. I am here to welcome you to St. Louis.”
“I would be remiss if I did not invite you in,” Harry cheerfully smiled and stepped aside so that the two vampires could enter. He remembered something at the last second when he was perusing the vamps that they could not enter without an invitation.
Severus put himself between their guests and Harry. He knew Harry’s personal shields would be enough for his protection, but Severus would always be more protective of him than himself.
“Uncle Harry?” Teddy called from the top of the stairs, “I can’t come down.”
Harry jumped and raised a hand to let Teddy come down the stairs. He waved Teddy to his side and turned to their guests. “This Theodore Lupin my godson. I am Harry Potter and this handsome man is Severus Snape.” Harry gestured to everyone. “Teddy this is Jean-Claude the Master of City and his lieutenant Asher.” He smiled at Teddy.
“Are they vampires like Uncle Sev?”
“Yes. They have come to welcome us.”
“Do you know any werewolves? I’m a werewolf. I howl at the moon.” Teddy announced proudly with his chest poked out.
“Oui, Little One, I happen to know the Ulfric of the local pack. Maybe we can introduce you?” Jean-Claude looked up to Harry with the question.
“That would be brilliant. We had no idea how to find the local Ulfric. Teddy needs guidance on how to deal with his wolf.”
“Where are his father and mother?” Asher asked, he would have usually stayed silent and unnoticed, but after the comment of beauty from this slight raven haired boy, he felt comfortable bringing notice to himself.
“They died eight years ago. He has been with me since.” Harry answered, saddened by the memory.
“They were heroes!” Teddy said, chest poking out further than before.
“Well, then you come from good stock.” Asher bent to smile at the little boy.
Teddy seemed to do the same thing that Harry was compelled to do. The little hands swept away the hair and caressed the scarred flesh marring the perfect beauty. “You’re beautiful like Uncle Sev. He was hurt too, when my mum and dad died, but he lived. Uncle Harry killed the bad man that hurt them.” Teddy dropped his hand and turned back to Harry and buried his face in his side.
“Mitzy.” Harry called the elf and she popped in instantly.
“Master Harry called Mitzy?”
“Can you take Teddy up stairs and read him a story? I think its bedtime for him.”
“Yes, Mitzy will take little master to bed.” Mitzy took Teddy’s hand and popped out of the room.
The vampires were not showing their shock and curiosity at the little being that seemed to be able to pop in and out, but Harry knew they had questions.
“Mitzy is our house elf. She is a magical creature that serves people with magic back home.” Harry gestured to the living room for the men to have a seat.
“I must thank you again for your offer of introduction to the Ulfric. The U.S and St. Louis is very new to us both. We hope to go site seeing tomorrow, but are hopeless on what to go see. Teddy wondered if there was a zoo?”
Jean-Claude and Asher observed the human and vampire across from them. There was something very odd about the young man and even odder about the vampire sitting next to him. Jean-Claude had tried to enter Snape’s mind and ask for the oath of allegiance to not alert the human, but it was as if this Snape had never had a master and did not need one. That was a disturbing thought and Jean-Claude pondered on whether to come out and ask his questions or play the welcoming host to these men.
“We do have a zoo, but it closes rather early I am afraid Mr. Snape would not be able to attend with you.” Jean-Claude said, “They do private functions, but the animals react to our kind.”
“But, Sev is unique he—”
“Potter, I don’t think it is wise to divulge this information.”
“What information?” Asher was instantly on alert.
“Sev, it would become common knowledge the first time we work with the local police on something during the day.”
The Blonde’s eyes widened, forgetting the poise and restraint built from hundreds of years, “are you saying that he is not bound by the day?”
“Yes, like I said my Sev is wholly unique. That is why I fell in love with him.” Harry smiled indulgently at the vampire next to him, but only received a blank stare in return. Harry felt slightly hurt by the vampire reverting back to his cold, stoic routine.
“It would seem your companion is not happy with you.” Jean-Claude’s voice took on a quality like silk and it wrapped itself around Harry. The raven haired human turned a glazed smile to the master vampire.
“Your voice is very nice, but my magic protects me from any coercion. If Tom Riddle could not control me, vampire tricks will not.” Harry stood to walk to Jean-Claude whispering a spell that aroused the vampire and reversed his thrall.
Jean-Claude knew this was not a good idea and voiced it, “You should not do this I will not be able to control the ardeur. It would…” he trailed off as the ardeur broke over them all.
Harry sent his magic seeking the source of this wave of lust. He looked to see Severus sitting looking at Jean-Claude and Asher with barely controlled lust. He looked poised to strike, but was only delayed by making a choice on which person to pounce upon. Harry found the source of this magic at the core of this vampire. It was warm and living, like it had a mind and could not be tamed. It seemed to flare as it realized it was being observed instead of served. It had its own hunger separate from the vampire’s blood lust and hunger.
“How interesting. What is this?” Harry smiled seductively. He found himself engulf in arms that were like steel. He turned his head to see Severus stand, but he shook his head to tell the vampire to stand down.
“It is the ardeur. It will burn us all with lust until it is fed.” Jean-Claude was scared that this young man was not afraid of this overwhelming feeling. The ardeur claimed all, not by choice, but force. It took the will of its victims and laid waste to any other desires.
“Do you feed this willingly?” Harry nuzzled the fangs grazing his neck, but kept his head.
“Harry, what are you doing?” Severus’ voice sounded worried. Being a deatheater and wizard for so long gave him the buffer he needed to not be engulfed by the wave of magic.
“I am seeing if we can form an alliance with the Master of city. Do you feed this willingly?” He asked the man holding him again.
“I have to, if I do not it will make me or weaken me. I cannot be weak. I have responsibilities.” Jean-Claude rubbed his groin into Harry’s belly. The shorter man moaning as his groin ground against a rock hard thigh.
“Who feeds you?” Harry continued to question.
“I can assuage the hunger remotely on lust, but my human servant, Anita and my pomme de sang are my main sources of ‘nourishment’.” Jean-Claude’s hands moved down Harry’s body to cup his buttocks and push him harder against his thigh. Harry sped his movements against the vampire. The orgasm that had been building broke across him and he felt the strange magic feed off of him.
Harry was released and he fell back into familiar arms and felt the wave recede from the area and collect itself back in the vampire.
“Is that not interesting to you Sev?” Harry looked up at his love with a sated smile.
Snape simply sat down on the couch and placed Harry in his lap. He wasn’t exactly jealous, but he wanted to see that smile because he caused it.
“It was enlightening. What are you proposing to our Master of City? I think he would like to know.” Severus’ eyes caught the grateful eyes of the other raven vampire.
“I would like to feed him.”
“In exchange for what, Mr. Potter?” Jean-Claude had recovered and sounded suspicious.
“Information if needed for my new position as a consultant to the St. Louis Police.” Harry smiled as understanding crossed Jean-Claude’s face.
“I would agree to that, if you can tell me how Mr. Snape, who is little more than a fledgling, can possess the power to go out in the sun?”
“Ah, that would be a more advantageous agreement, but you could not ‘take the cure’ like Severus because you were once human and Severus was not.”
The two guest vampires looked dejected for a moment.
Jean-Claude opened his mouth to speak, but Snape interrupted, “I would be willing to work on it. I know I will get bored without a challenge now that I do not teach anymore.”
“You were a teacher before your turn?” Asher asked.
“And after, he was much more liked after he became a vampire. The students would call him The Great Bat of Hogwarts and vampire. It was poetic irony when he returned after the final battle changed.”
“A school let you teach after becoming a vampire?” Asher’s astonishment was palpable.
“Like I said, we are not simple humans. So do we have any agreement on information?” Harry returned the conversation to the subject before.
“I cannot be fed by you. My human servant would stake me herself. Anita is also a consultant with the local police and a Federal Marshal, but it has been harder for her since we have bonded. We will help regardless of reciprocal exchange.”
“That is nice to know. Where may we contact you?” Jean-Claude handed over a card to Harry, who handed it to Severus. “Thank you. We will be in touch when we think we have something. Will we get to meet your Anita? She sounds very interesting based on her job. I bet she is tall and beautiful, and intimidating, to be comparable to you.” Harry laughed at his supposition.
“NO!” Jean-Claude laughed, thinking of Anita. “You would think she is, but she is 5’3, shorter than you mon ami, but she is beautiful with long midnight hair that curls. I sometimes think it is alive the way it wraps around her untamed.” Jean-Claude let his mask fall to show his true feelings for his servant.
“Anyone shorter than me with that job has to be intimidation personified. I look forward to working with someone who has such regard from you. You must have all her time?”
Jean-Claude’s face crumpled a bit as he answered, “Non, I do not she has many…things that pull her in many directions. I am lucky for my time.”
“She has other lovers?” Harry seemed to gasp at the thought that the beautiful vampire in front of him was not enough for the woman.
“Oui, but it is necessary, she is a victim of the ardeur she received in our bonding.”
“But you said you could not feed from me, how can she have others?”
“She is possessive, but she does not enjoy the men that flock to her. I tire of sharing, but each lover she acquires strengthens my power base. It is the price I pay.” Jean-Claude looked to Asher with a hint of regret on his face. Harry recognized the look.
“You were once lovers, but not now?” Harry knew he was prying, but could not help it.
“You are far too perceptive. I have not opened up to anyone like this in a long time, not even Anita could get this information easily. Is this some spell you have worker, Mr. Potter?”
“You should call me Harry. I don’t mean to pry, but are you satisfied with this situation? Severus can ask anything of me. If he wanted a lover then it would be my pleasure to give it to him.” Arms tightened around Harry and he sighed contentedly.
“It is not that easy with Anita. She complicates the simplest things. She has so much power but rejects it at every opportunity.”
“It is hard to accept power when you are not born to it and know how it can corrupt, but I do not know your Anita. Maybe she would like someone to talk to that can understand. I will meet her eventually, I’m sure. You either love me or hate me, or both.”
“Mr. Potter I would like to invite you to one of my establishments as an honored guest, the Circus of the Damned. I would also like to offer my friendship. You are someone I would very much like to call friend and Mr. Snape, too.”
“Friends call each other by their first names.” Harry teased.
“Harry, Severus, will you be my guests tomorrow evening at the Circus?”
“We would love too. Can Teddy attend also?”
“Yes, as long as he is not easily frightened.” Asher answered.
“No, the boy is fearless like his mother.” Severus smiled as he answered the blonde.
“Good we will send a car tomorrow evening. I will see if the Ulfric is available. We must leave you now it is late and we have other business to attend to. We both look forward to tomorrow night.” Jean-Claude and Asher made courtly bows as the other two men stood to show them out.
“We do as well.” Harry replied showing them out into the late night.
