Indecent Behaviour: the offence of committing indecent acts.
Beginning from her fourth year at Hogwarts, she found life to turn up even if it was just slightly. She had thought that after the punch, his behaviour would change and change indeed it did, but not in the way, she had expected it. Summoning her courage she never tried to hide from him, but the least she saw of him, the better it was for her in turn. She was tired of the fights; it was just a waste of time, because she knew that she could get better use of it, studying and doing research being some of the few.
Fourth year after Halloween found her being courted by none other than Viktor Krum; at first she didn’t get it, but allowed for the romance to play out its course. She would have gladly waited around for Ron still, but yet he did not see her as a female, at least not that type of female. She figured she needed some on hands experience, because her precious books could not provide that for her, not even a memory in a pensive could. At first she admitted, it was difficult, she felt guilt ridden thinking that she was just using Viktor, but in the end she found herself reciprocating to his feelings even though they were not as strong, like the ones she harboured for Ron.
“Viktor that’s enough for today,” whispered Hermione pushing Viktor slightly away from her person as she gasped to steady her breathing.
“Very vell,” he replied and broke further away from Hermione, looking anywhere but at her.
“It’s almost curfew,” she breathed looking him in the eyes. “It is best that I return, before my friends get any ideas and come searching for me,” said Hermione with a shy smile.
“Until ve meet again tomorrow then,” he said and Hermione nodded as she watched his form retreating away from her, with his warmth gone she began to feel the chill emitting from the library.
Once she knew she could no longer see him, she brought her fingers to her lips, smiling slightly. She didn’t think that snogging could cause such a reaction out of her. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of snogging, she thought to herself. Shaking herself out of her thoughts Hermione decided to keep to her word and head back to Gryffindor tower. Bidding the library a quiet ‘goodbye’ Hermione exited and went on her merry way.
Upon reaching the seventh floor Hermione stopped dead on her tracks, her heart skipping a beat, she was sure that she wouldn’t run into him, especially so near curfew time. Gathering her courage she decided to walk past him and ignore him, surely he wouldn’t say anything while he was all alone. After all, he liked an audience.
She was wrong.
He blocked her path.
She made to walk around him, but he simply kept blocking her path.
Slightly scared she looked up at him. She figured she shouldn’t have done that once their eyes met because of the look in his eyes. He wore the same expression that Viktor wore after they had been through their snogging sessions.
“M-Malfoy,” whispered Hermione, trying her best to hide the tremble in her voice.
That seemed to snap him out of his trance and Hermione was thankful for that. She witnessed him blink several times before he continued on his way. Hermione watched his retreating form disappear before she continued her way towards Gryffindor tower she did not want to think about the look that Malfoy had given her. Once upon the familiar portrait of the fat lady Hermione said the password and stepped right inside, smiling upon seeing her friends and making her way towards Harry and Ron.
“Harry, Ron,” greeted Hermione as she sat her satchel down before making herself comfortable beside her best friends.
“Missed you at dinner, ‘Mione,” said Ron and she could tell he was trying to hide his disappointment.
“Yeah, sorry, but you know how I always get caught up with my studies,” apologized Hermione hoping that she wouldn’t be questioned any further. “Have you discovered the secret to the egg yet, Harry?” she asked in hopes of taking the attention off of herself.
“No, I’m afraid not. It’s still quite the mystery I’m afraid,” explained Harry.
“Sorry I’m not much help Harry, I really am stumped as much as you,” said Hermione sadly. She really had no clue and it upset her too in turn.
“It’s okay ‘Mione, I’m sure once I figure out how to hear it, you’ll help me out. After all you haven’t failed me yet,” said Harry smiling brightly at Hermione.
Hermione shied away, but smiled brightly in return nonetheless. “That’s what I’m here for,” she breathed.
*~*~*
“HERMIONE!!!! HERMIONE!!!” screamed Ginny at the very top of her lungs and nearly breathless in doing so, as she searched for Hermione from somewhere within the girls’ dormitories.
“Hermione!” breathed out Ginny once more while still gasping to catch the rest of her breath.
“HERMIONE!” Hermione jumped in alarm from her bedpost nearly tripping on one of her books trying to get to the door. Composing herself she opened the door for the once screaming girl and stared at her in shock.
“Did I give you a fright?” asked Ginny once she caught her breath. “I would like to answer with a simple ‘no’, but that would be a lie I’m afraid,” explained Hermione as she waved her wand and cast a spell for her books to put themselves away and clear some of the mess, she did not want to trip on another book for the umpteenth time. “Tell me Gin, what is it that has you screaming my name and more than once?”
Ginny smiled sheepishly jumping with joy and said, “It’s Neville, he’s asked me to the Yule Ball.” Ginny then pushed Hermione further back into the dormitory and she made herself comfortable whilst casting a silencing charm in the fourth years’ dormitory.
Hermione simply followed after the younger girl and too made herself comfortable back on her own four poster bed. Whenever Ginny hunted for Hermione and found her, it meant only one thing and she was used to it by now. “You wanted Harry to ask you, didn’t you?”
Ginny nodded sadly some of the sparkling joy dimming away from her eyes. “You don’t understand Hermione,” cried Ginny quietly. “Harry and I are m-meant to be together I just know it,” stuttered Ginny. “And don’t think I’m saying that just because he’s already saved my life o-once,” explained Ginny using a dream like voice.
“Oh Gin, Harry and Ron are both on the same page at the moment I’m afraid. You know I was hoping that Ron would ask me too, but he’s yet to make a move. I have a feeling he’s already saving me as a last resort,” sighed Hermione. “But no matter, someone has already asked me and I said yes,” explained Hermione with a shy smile.
Ginny froze momentarily, a mischievous smile forming on her lips. “Do pray tell, who it is that has asked you. Please, please, I’ve told you of my date,” begged Ginny.
“Oh Gin, I told myself I wouldn’t cave, but there is no reason to hide it from you and you’ve no idea how much I am dying to tell someone,” laughed Hermione feeling very girly. “Very well if there is someone I will allow myself to tell it is you Ginny. I trust you won’t let it slip to anyone else,” warned Hermione.
“I’ll make an oath and not tell a soul. Now tell me who is the lucky boy or man that gets to escort you to the Yule Ball?” asked Ginny moving her eyebrows suggestively making Hermione giggle.
“Viktor Krum.”
Ginny gasped and beamed madly, happy for her friend.
Ginny sighed in content and then in discontent, unable to contain it further. “I truly am happy for the two of us ‘Mione. I get to attend while being one of the younger students and you don’t get to go stag. I was pretty sure you would not have been otherwise. While my brother and Harry are both dolts the other male students not so much,” smiled Ginny mischievously. While she may be a young girl it didn’t mean she was blind to things or deaf to peoples’ conversations. “Why do they have to be such dolts?”
“I dunno Gin, but sadly they both are,” said Hermione, but content that Ginny didn’t push on the subject of her Yule Ball date, she did not want to deal with Ginny as a fan girl, because Viktor Krum already had plenty of them despite his age. Caving in after a moment of silence Hermione finally said, “Come here I know you can use one.” Hermione opened her arms wide open to let the younger girl onto her arms for a much needed and deep comforting embrace.
“Thanks Hermione,” nearly cried Ginny as she jumped onto the open arms of Hermione making the two of them fall on Hermione’s bed flat.
“It’ll be awhile more you know, before Harry and Ron become men,” whispered Hermione wrapping her arms tighter around the younger girl. “While they may get into some trouble and learn their lessons from the trouble they’ve caused it is only sending them onto that road of maturity,” explained Hermione as she began to stroke Ginny’s sleek hair.
“I know,” cried Ginny burying hear head deeper on Hermione’s shoulder.
Hermione chuckled feeling Ginny’s hair tickle her neck from her last action, “And besides we, ourselves are not exactly full grown women yet,” smiled Hermione.
Ginny laughed, “True to that. I can’t wait to be a grown up,” grinned Ginny pulling away from the hug and resting on her knees to clear her face of the tears.
Hermione laughed a quiet laugh. “You’re just beginning your teen years Gin; I don’t think you really want to wish that just yet.”
“I’m just playing Hermione, it’s just the thought of love makes me wish sometimes you know.”
“Oh I know, been there and done that sadly. Anyways, I must kick you out; I need to make my way to the library. I’m afraid I have fallen behind, while trying to get your brother and Harry to be civil towards each other again.”
“Uh huh sure call it what you want Hermione,” said Ginny while moving her eyebrows suggestively.
“Ginevra,” warned Hermione while unable to hide her mischievous smile.
“Don’t worry I’ll always love you too,” said Ginny blowing a kiss towards Hermione and making her way out of the dormitory. Hermione heaved a sigh and made herself comfortable back on her bed. After the talk with Ginny she didn’t feel like stepping out of the dormitory. She decided it would be best to step out once it was dinner time instead. Surely Viktor might be a little upset, but he would understand too, she hoped.
~*~*~
“Hermione, are you ready yet?” asked Ginny through the closed door. “No not yet,” replied Hermione. “Just go on without me, I’ll be out there shortly, I promise.”
“Very well, I’ll try to drag the two dolts by force then, since they refuse to go on without you,” nearly whispered Ginny. “You know Hermione,” began Ginny using her normal tone. “Ron still thinks you’re going stag,” Ginny informed Hermione.
Hermione frowned, she should have known Ron would still be thinking like that, but no matter she didn’t want to show her disappointment, glad that the closed door was a barrier between the two girls. “You go and do that Gin drag them out of the common room to meet up with their dates,” encouraged Hermione while smiling to herself, as she imagined how Ginny would drag the two out. “And don’t worry about me, worry about Ron he might get mad at me, but it’ll be his fault for not acting quicker.”
“Okay,” said Ginny. “But for Merlin’s beard don’t keep us waiting too long,” laughed Ginny.
“Right,” said Hermione to herself as she heard the younger girl’s footsteps echoing away.
Hermione scurried about the shared dorm room and began working on the finishing touches of her look. Grabbing a hold of her perfume, she spritzes some on, on all important parts of her body to make the scent linger longer. After that she runs back to the bathroom to do a double check on her hair since that was her main concern for the event. Happy with the results Hermione grabs Harry’s invisibility cloak, dawns it on, and makes her way downstairs to the common room of Gryffindor tower.
She breathed a sigh of relief when the common room was deserted from the eldest classmates. Keeping a tight hold on the cloak she makes her way towards the dining hall. Upon reaching the end of the stairs before the dining hall she removes the invisibility cloak carefully making sure not to damage her hair in the process and puts it away within her charmed bracelet that happens to be a bag.
“Magic, it never seizes to amaze me,” she said to herself while checking her reflection on a compact mirror she had pulled out from her bag.
Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves Hermione finally rounds the corner putting a smile on her face and waving to the few that waved at her first. She did not expect to get the reactions she was receiving from her fellow classmates that she almost felt like running back to Gryffindor tower because it just made her even more nervous, but before she could turn back Viktor had met her by the end of the steps.
Alright Hermione you can do this. So a few people are staring more than usual, that’s to be expected, I think. No n-no no n-no, no turning back now. Just smile and breathe, it won’t do to faint.
Snapping out of her thoughts and ignoring the talk and whispers from her fellow classmates she accepts Viktor’s offered hand. “You look quite ravishing tonight Hermione,” he said nearly breathless.
“T-thank you,” whispered a blushing Hermione. “Although I feel like I must run and hide. I’m not used to all the stares, at least not these kinds of stares,” she admitted shyly focusing her eyes on him.
“I assure you, you’ve nothing to fret about.”
“If y-you say so,” she said trying not to stutter, but looking up at Viktor all the same.
He took her by the hand and led her onto their destination, where the two would partake on the first dance along with the other three champions.
Sometime later after the third dance with Viktor, he took her away from all the noise and dragged her outside, but not too far away, after all it was winter and winter can only be cold and there was only so much a warming charm could do. She giggled joyfully as he twirled her around playfully making her feel like a child once more.
“Ve’re finally alone,” he said.
“So we are,” Hermione said smiling. “Am I allowed to assume that you wish to resume where we left off yesterday?” she asked.
Viktor only smiled as his answer and captured her lips with his own. Hermione reciprocated once more their lips finally moving together as one. His lips felt so soft, his kiss becoming urgent as though he could not breathe without her. Hermione picked up on the minty taste smiling happily thinking about how her parents will definitely approve of him. She then laughed breaking the kiss up, if she told him what she was thinking Viktor might get upset.
“Vhat’s so funny?” “Nothing,” she lied. “My mind, it just went somewhere else you know,” she explained. “We best head back inside. I’d like to keep dancing some more,” sighed Hermione dreamily while grabbing for his hand.
Viktor held her hand in his and led them back inside to join the others for some more dancing. They danced a couple more songs before Hermione decided she needed another little break from dancing. After a few attempts she had finally managed to get rid of Viktor and convinced him to keep having some fun without her with the excuse that she wanted to check on her best friends. She had noticed that they had hardly done any dancing with their dates.
That’s quite odd, she thought.
Before she would actually check on both Harry and Ron she decided to step outside for a short breather. Their moods definitely seemed to be offsetting and Hermione didn’t want her night to be ruined quite yet. She knew that it was being a bit selfish trying to prevent from ruining her night, but she hardly ever had the opportunity to do so. She also knew one of the two would manage that quite nicely.
Heading back outside Hermione had barely managed to escape Professor Snape on her way out as she tried to lay her discomforting thoughts to rest. She sat on the stone steps taking in a deep breath and slowly letting it go to calm herself down, and from the unwanted attention. She wasn’t used to the spotlight, so to speak, not the kind she had been showered with throughout the night.
Hermione smiled shyly unable to figure out what to do about her thoughts. It seemed boys finally figured out she was a bloody female, even some she wasn’t expecting. That’s where she decided to end those thoughts and looked up at the twinkling stars.
Hermione didn’t want her night to end, that she was sure of. She bet many others felt the same way, but although she knew she wouldn’t get to see her parents, it was definitely nice to stay on the castle grounds and not worry about any danger.
After a few minutes break and calming down Hermione decided to finally go back inside. Standing up slowly while righting herself and looking up at the stars once more, she felt hands rest on her hips. Feeling slightly alerted, she decided to relax all the same knowing she couldn’t be that upset at Viktor.
“Viktor, I told you not to worry,” she began saying slowly turning around to face him. Her eyes opened wide in shock, the male holding onto her was not Viktor Krum. “Mal-“
His lips were on hers before she could finish uttering his name. Hermione felt his hands gripping harder on her hips when she began to push away from him. She didn’t understand his motives, didn’t want to understand either way. He was her enemy and vice versa.
Managing to break away slightly she managed to say, “Malfoy, please stop.”
Her heart was beating faster than ever the feeling of cheating on someone even though she was being forced to, did not sit well on her heart. She began pounding on his chest in the hopes to deter him a bit, but that didn’t seem to get through to him. What finally did it was when he needed to catch his breath. She had been breathing through her nose; therefore she did not need to catch a lot of it like he did.
With him taking his break to catch his breath, Hermione searched for her wand. If he did not want to let go of her she needed to stun herself free of him.
“Looking for this?” he asked showing her, her wand. Hermione gasped in shock wondering when he had obtained her wand and because his other hand had tightened on her hip.
“When did you-“
“Before you stood back up,” he answered before allowing her to finish her question.
She shook her head not understanding and trying to keep him distracted she knew she needed to get away from him before he lost control. “I don’t understand,” she said her lips trembling slightly in fear. She hoped he didn’t catch that.
“You don’t need to understand,” he said and leaned towards her lips once more. Hermione tried pushing him away once more to no avail, he being much taller than her also made him stronger than her. Her objective: She did not want to enjoy his kiss. Hermione had to admit the raw emotion behind the kiss was making her tremble slightly with excitement; she had yet to feel like that with a kiss from Viktor.
He bit her bottom lip and she gasped at the pain, he then took the opportunity and slid his tongue inside her warm mouth. Hermione’s mind went blank at the action; she closed her eyes as Malfoy deepened the stolen kiss. Deep inside she knew she needed to wake up and think about how to push him away and stop the kiss, but she couldn’t, she found herself enjoying his attention more than being disgusted by it.
Hermione stopped keeping track of time and allowed him to do what he wanted to with his lips so long as his lips remained on her lips. She calculated that he would tire of the act and with her not responding any longer; in turn it would make him want to stop all entirely.
He finally stopped; she opened her eyes and stared back at him blankly. She felt warm, because he had yet to let go of her. She blinked in confusion unsure if he had truly done what he had done. He planted one last kiss on her lips, just a peck this time she figured he decided not to push any further.
“Remember Granger, that a Malfoy will always get what he wants no matter the circumstance,” he said before he let her go and began walking away from her leaving her dumbstruck.
Snapping out of it Hermione finally said, “I’m not a toy Malfoy.”
It was too late then by the time she responded with a comeback he had already left her all alone in the winter cold. “The cold,” she figured she could use that as an excuse as to why her cheeks were so red instead of the truth from the embarrassment she felt from the act of sinning. Her lips, she didn’t know an excuse for that one yet.
*~*~*~*
“HERMIONE!” Ginny said raising her voice slightly in the hopes to snap the other girl pacing in front of her from her current trance. “Hermione, will you please stop that, it’s making me dizzy,” complained Ginny covering her eyes with her hands all the while collapsing on Hermione’s four poster bed.
Hermione stopped pacing balling her hands into fists. She just felt so angry even though she had no need for the anger, the plan was full proof they just needed to set things into motion.
“Hermione please speak, tell me what bothers you or else there is no possible way for me to help you,” begged Ginny sitting back up on the bed and staring at Hermione expectantly.
“I’m sorry Gin, I just keep having these mood swings for some reason and before you ask, no I am not pregnant. While I do accept the act of intercourse before marriage, I find it silly to conceive a child out of wedlock,” explained Hermione.
Hermione turned to look at Ginny sitting on her bed and softened up, she didn’t need to snap like that at the fourteen year old girl nor did she need to bring up that subject. “I’m sorry,” apologised Hermione. “I just dunno what to do. I dunno if the contract for the D.A. members is full proof yet. I need to further my research before I feel safe enough that I can trust that no member will rat us out to any of the professors especially Umbridge without any circumstance,” sneered Hermione.
“Oh so that’s what you’re so worked up about. I dunno why, but I could have sworn it was because of boy trouble. You and Krum are still keeping touch, right?” questioned Ginny with a raised brow.
“Of-f c-course we are still keeping touch, but we decided to keep that on the low, I don’t really enjoy the media attention after what’s happened last year and he’s decided to help with that by only writing every fortnight instead of weekly like he used to,” explained Hermione almost robotically.
“After all that and you’re still hung up on Ron aren’t you,” whispered Ginny and Hermione simply nodded in response. Ginny took the cue and decided to change the subject instead. “Hermione once the contract is set in stone, where exactly are we going to hold practice?”
“That beats me Gin, but you know there is a rumour about this room in the castle that comes and goes when one needs it. If we can find out on what floor it resides on and how to get access to it, we will be set. We’ll need to ask around and be very discreet about it too we do not want to give cause to any more suspicion,” explained Hermione as she made herself comfortable on a chaise.
Ginny stood up from Hermione’s bed walking over to a semi-relaxed Hermione, “I’ve heard of the room too. Leave it to me, I’ll tell the few other trustworthy Gryffindors in on the D.A. so far to help me search for the famed room, while you focus on that contract. Also leave Harry and Ron to me, I’ll keep them off your case because this contract indeed is very important and only you can do it,” smiled Ginny as she held onto Hermione’s shoulders reassuringly.
Hermione smiled back standing up making her way to grab her satchel. “Thanks Gin, you go and do that. I’ll make my way to the library to do some more research. I’ll see you come dinner time okay.”
“Yes ma’am,” smiled Ginny following Hermione out of the dormitory. Ginny made her way around Hermione acting as a shield in case Ron and Harry were resting somewhere within the common room area. Ginny smiled up at Hermione and gave her the thumbs-up to indicate that the two dolts were nowhere in sight even though Hermione could see that for herself since she wasn’t that far behind Ginny. Nevertheless, Hermione smiled at Ginny in thanks and exited the common room and made a beeline towards the library.
Once inside the library Hermione walked over to Madam Pince who she found was cleaning the barely dusty shelves of the library with a simple yet somewhat worn out feather duster in appearance. “Madam I’ve this permission slip from professor McGonagall,” explained Hermione handing the librarian a note.
Madam Pince took the note from Hermione and inspected it suspiciously making sure it wasn’t forged. “Very well, you are much older now therefore I’ll allow you to enter the restricted section on your own, although next time do try and gather a note from a different professor, I do prefer to see variety.”
“Of course Madam,” smiled Hermione.
Once receiving a rare smile from the librarian Hermione wiped her own fake smile off of her face and made a beeline for the restricted section of the library trying to contain her eagerness. This time smiling honestly, and once inside Hermione breathed in the smell of the books in the restricted section excited to finally be able to look around at the books and read them without worrying if she would get caught or not one minute or the next.
“All the possibilities,” breathed Hermione in awe while running her forefinger on each of the spines of the books she could reach. “Nevertheless all of this will have to wait for another time,” she frowned. “I must find the books I came looking for,” she breathed sadly. “And what better way, but to start at the back of the section,” said a now giddy Hermione clapping her hands together quietly since she didn’t want to get kicked out so soon from the restricted section.
Hermione made her way towards the back of the restricted section and began to read the titles of the books to herself. She frowned realizing she had made a bad decision by starting at the back, while the summaries and titles of the books were interesting they were not what she needed. She scolded herself mentally to focus on the needs and not the wants.
Hermione looked up thankful that there were books higher up. Placing her satchel down on a nearby table she stretched her arms before ascending the library ladder to reach the higher up books. Hermione frowned in disappointment; she didn’t get any of the needs from the titles, only the wants. Hermione began to descend the ladder slowly, while muttering to herself in disdain, “I swear I should just take up permanent residence within the library. Things would be so much easier and I would be so much happier too.”
Hermione jumped off from the last three steps on the ladder only to have her buttocks land on a pair of hands. Her breathing sped up while her hands held tightly onto the ladder’s railing. She gulped; things had been going so well she did not expect any encounters at the moment or at any moment.
His hands slowly slithered higher, finally resting on her hips; he sure seemed to love her hips she figured. Hermione froze she did not know what else to do. She kicked herself mentally because she had placed her satchel on the table where her wand had been hidden. She couldn’t even stun him. He only pushed himself closer to her body and she could feel his growing bulge, making her gulp.
“Ever since our kiss last year, I didn’t think I would get a chance to catch you all alone where no one else could see us together,” he breathed in her ear proceeding to nibble on it. “How lucky of me, to have stumbled upon you today of all places, merely coincidence,” he said nonchalantly gripping her body closer to his as he breathed in her lavender scent.
“M-Malfoy, please I don’t know what you want with me, but please I beg that you let go of me. I’m in a relationship,” lied and begged Hermione trying to struggle out of his grasp.
He spun her around making her back rest on the ladder steps and closing the space between them even further. He caressed her face, tracing her lips with his thumb. “You can be in a relationship all you want, but you’ll always belong to me.”
“You’ve gone mad Malfoy, I am not property to be claimed,” said Hermione in a calm voice in hopes to get him to open up his eyes. “Besides I’m a filthy mud-“
He cut her off by diving for her lips. Hermione fought back putting up a struggle. He let go of her lips, but he did not let go of her. “Dark times may be approaching, but don’t ever utter that word around me,” he hissed and Hermione nodded in understanding not wanting to defy him in that moment.
“I still don’t understand you Malfoy, what is it that you want from me?”
“Why Granger I thought that would be very obvious,” he said as he grabbed Hermione’s hand and made her feel him. Hermione pulled her hand away shaking her head. “You can steal my kisses Malfoy, but you won’t ever have me,” she promised.
He chuckled quietly, breathing in her lavender scent once more while leaving a trail of soft kisses from her neck to her shoulder. “Granger, Granger tsk tsk,” he smirked. “You are the defenceless one here after all; you were even stupid enough to leave your wand far away from your person. The only thing that can save you now is-“
“-if someone were to find us here,” she gulped as she finished his sentence.
“Oh you are catching on,” he mocked her. “Now this time do and try to respond back to my affections,” he growled while squeezing her arse making her shift closer to his body.
“Mal-Malfoy you are not right. You need help, let me try and help you,” begged Hermione trying to push him away from her.
“Ah ah, what did I say?”
“I’m the defenceless one here,” she repeated robotically.
“That’s a good girl,” he grunted.
Draco Malfoy leaned forward capturing Hermione’s lips with his own once more. With one of his free hands he made her wrap each of her arms around his neck. He then carried her over to the table where her satchel rested and sat her on the table wrapping each of her legs around his middle. Fearing that she would get a hold of her satchel specifically her wand, he threw her satchel along with her wand in the opposite direction of their bodies and re-focused on the kiss. He then deepened the kiss by nibbling on her bottom lip and she granted him access a small moan escaping her as he began to massage the insides of her thighs.
She let her arms rest around his neck disappointed that he had thought steps ahead by throwing her satchel and wand away from her. With their lips playing together there was no way she could call for her wand. She kicked herself mentally yet again since she could have summoned her wand before their lips had locked.
Nevertheless she allowed him to do his bidding so long as he did not intend on having sex with her. He broke the kiss, frowning.
“I’ll admit I’m disappointed Granger. Each time I saw you kissing him you were so responsive, why aren’t you responsive with me?” he asked her and she was taken aback by his question.
“I-I was responsive? How would you know?” she asked trying not to show her anger.
He had been spying on her and Viktor it seemed.
“I’ve been watching and when I first stumbled upon you two I decided that I wanted what he was getting, except that I promised myself that you would only belong to me. You can try to give yourself up to another man, but in the back of your head you won’t be able to and you’ll just push him away,” he explained making her look him in the eyes.
Hermione felt lost and confused upon looking him in the eyes and shook her head. “I told you I am not your property or your toy Malfoy,” she whispered the threat of his words finally sinking in, but not allowing herself to admit it in front of him.
“That’s where you are wrong love because as a Malfoy, I will always get what I want. Now I have decided that I will make you fall in love with me and I trust it won’t take so long,” he said matter-of-factly making Hermione shake slightly with fear and strangely excitement.
Hermione allowed for her legs to fall to her sides and tried pushing him away from her once more to no avail since he was much stronger than her, if she could only get to her wand. She needed to distract him by all means and make her escape.
She let the moment escape yet again.
“Malfoy you’ve gone mad, you’re not right. It’s almost as though you are no longer you. You hate me remember,” reasoned Hermione.
He turned to look at her and she noticed his eyes had become almost glassy by her words. He shook his head, and then he rested his forehead against hers. “I’m still me,” he whispered. “Only difference now is that I want you and no one is going to take you away from me not even that vile Dark Lord,” he explained. He then made her look him in the eyes and said, “I forbid it.”
Hermione sighed and began trying to break the eye contact. Something was definitely wrong with Malfoy she could almost swear that his spoken words were planting themselves in her head each time he made her look him in the eyes, almost as if compelled.
“You can feel now, can’t you?” he asked her.
Hermione looked up at him leaving her thoughts. “I dunno what you’re talking about it,” she lied.
“Don’t make this more difficult than it has to be.”
“You’re the difficult on-“
He shut her up by kissing her lips.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Harry, please stop being so reckless, there is no need for it. You broke your lessons with Professor Snape and I am only trying to help you. So for Merlin’s sake just focus,” said Hermione holding her wand to Harry’s forehead.
“Drop this Hermione, I cannot do this right now, I have other things on my mind. We will continue this on another night,” explained Harry pushing Hermione’s wand away from his forehead and standing up. He towered over her, height wise, and so she simply nodded in response. “Very well, but Harry please do not delay it any further, you can’t keep letting him trick you,” sighed Hermione dejectedly in the end.
“I know, I know, but right now I just need you to be my friend. Now I’ll be off, I need to get some fresh air. I’ll be out by the pitch, don’t let anyone find me okay. I wish to be alone for now,” he explained and Hermione gave him the look. “Don’t look at me like that Hermione,” he said grabbing onto her chin making her look him in the eyes. “Don’t concern yourself, I won’t do anything stupid.”
Hermione wrapped her arms around Harry’s middle and whispered, “Promise?”
“I promise,” he promised while wrapping his arms around Hermione in an embrace. “I just need to get my thoughts together. If anything, you know how to find me,” he smiled pushing her away.
“I know, but it doesn’t mean I like it,” said Hermione crossing her arms.
“I’ll be fine and I promised already. Now go on and go to the library,” said Harry handing over his invisibility cloak to Hermione.
Hermione took the cloak with a nod and dawn it over her body only exposing her head to Harry. “Just don’t skip out on dinner again okay,” said Hermione and Harry nodded before walking out of the common room. Hermione grabbed her satchel and covered the rest of her body under the cloak and made her way towards the room of requirement.
Ever since returning for their sixth year Hermione avoided being seen in the library and only went there when she was sure she wouldn’t be alone. Instead she would use the room of requirement to conjure a secret path to the restricted section of the library and hide away so long as Malfoy was nowhere near the section, and she was sure to never be caught after all she had permanent permission to read the books now, that she was seventeen making her of age per Professor Dumbledore.
Hermione paced the all familiar steps summoning the door and once the door appeared she went inside. Removing the cloak and then dropping all her belongings on the table she had asked for, she walked across the room and turned the handle. Sticking out her head to look around and make sure no other student was in sight she finally stepped out and left the door ajar.
Hurriedly, Hermione walked to the last section she had been in and proceeded to pull out the next five books out of the shelf. Hugging the books close to her body she returned to the door left ajar and once again returned to the confines of the room of requirement. Once inside she set the books on the table. After the books had been set down on the table she emptied the contents from within her satchel then placed it back on the table to let it rest. Grabbing for some fresh parchment and her favourite quills and ink she finally sat down on the comfortable chair and tried to relax.
Hermione stood up abruptly from her chair and began pacing the floor. She didn’t like the uneasy feeling that she was feeling all of a sudden. Not trusting herself she pulled back her hair in case she dared to pull at it.
Deciding to quit pacing she walked over to the fireplace and sat right in front of it, watching the flames dance about in order to relax. Feeling the heat emitting from the flames she removed her jumper. She even stepped away from the fireplace beginning to feel a little too hot, but no matter how far away she got she just wanted to keep removing articles of clothing. The only thing she dawned now which she found strange was her undergarments, skirt, and short sleeved oxford shirt that revealed part of her bra since she had popped open a few of the buttons.
“This is ridiculous; it’s never been this hot before. Maybe I have a fever,” she told herself walking back to the chair to transfigure one of her quills into a goblet. Casting a quick ‘aguamenti’ she filled the goblet with water and began to drink from it.
After drinking the water Hermione began to feel slightly better she even thought about casting a cooling charm, but if she was getting sick she didn’t want to chance it. Instead, she went ahead and began putting her belongings away back in her satchel even stepping out of the room of requirement for a few minutes after she righted herself to put away the books she did not get to read.
“Sorry my loves, but it will have to wait for another day,” she said sadly.
Once the books had been placed back into their rightful home she went back inside the room of requirement, the door disappearing behind her. She didn’t mind it so much since it always did that whenever she was done with that particular door. She sat back down on the chair for a moment; she definitely figured something was wrong with her. She even put away Harry’s cloak inside her satchel dead set on heading down to the infirmary to get herself checked out with Madam Pomfrey.
Placing her satchel on her shoulder she then grabbed her jumper and placed it on her arm while using her free hand to open the door to leave the room of requirement.
“There you are love.”
Hermione looked up at the tall figure standing right in front of her, shocked that he had even found her. Before her whole body could step out of the room he had pushed her back inside and locked the door behind them. With his presence in the room, the room began to shift to his liking.
“A bit warm don’t you think love,” he said as he removed her jumper from her arm, her satchel, and wand from her.
“How did you-“ she began to ask but he had cut her off yet again.
“Well you’re not the only one in need of the room love. I figured that I would stay outside until the person within decided to step out so that I could get use of the room myself and to my luck it happened to be you,” he explained making her sit on the table making her slightly at eye level with him. “Now, let me make you feel better,” he said as he began to unbutton her shirt slowly.
Hermione shook her head trying to snap herself out of the sudden shock. He was being civil, too civil despite that he had broken Harry’s nose at the beginning of term.
“M-Malfoy why are you being so-“
“Would you prefer me to be rough?” he asked her as he groped her leg harder to demonstrate that he would not hesitate in being rough with her.
Hermione felt shocked once more, the feeling of him being rough with her, it sent a jolt through her body and even though she didn’t dare to admit it to him, she actually liked it. Although with the moan that escaped her lips, she figured that he could put two and two together easily.
He smirked, that trademark smirk never failed him. “So you do want me to be rough. You like to struggle,” he said while he slid the shirt off of her shoulders.
Hermione gulped. “I-I-I never said that.”
“You didn’t have to say it per se, but your body seems to speak all on its own,” he smirked planting a kiss on her exposed shoulder.
Hermione shuttered she could not believe her reactions to his touches. It felt so exciting and right, but wrong at the same time and the excitement radiating off of him sent her to a new height alone.
She needed to clear her head of her thoughts, but with her heart beating so loudly from the excitement she could barely hear her own thoughts.
“W-what, what are you p-playing at Malfoy?” Hermione finally managed to stutter as she felt his hand glide up and down her inner thigh getting dangerously close to her neglected nether region.
He moved his hands to rest her at sides and pulled her closer to his body. Hermione’s body trembled from the action and a small moan escaped her lips that surprised the two of them when he parted her legs making himself comfortable between them. She gulped, feeling the heat radiating from his hard-on, that alone made her think a little straighter.
She was not giving it up to him.
Not her virtue.
As the situation dawned on her upon spotting the bed that the room had conjured she began to struggle and she noted that she had not done so from the very beginning. Every time he had sought her out she had always put up a struggle of sorts, but now it came late in the game.
“Don’t worry love, I won’t force you, but I am here to pleasure you,” he smirked making her look him in the eyes. She tried turning away from his eyes.
His eyes.
His eyes.
His eyes.
His eyes, she noted they looked different from the past encounters there was a strange but eerie glow to them. Determination definitely reflected from his eyes as well as the promise he had voiced.
Hermione struggled she needed to get out and away from him as much as his promise brought to her excitement she knew it was a dangerous excitement that she would probably never forget.
She witnessed him smile at her for the first time serenely, one that also radiated fulfilment before he leaned forward and captured her lips. Hermione felt time go still as their lips touched she could feel his heart beating hard and fast against her chest. A kiss so passionate and yet so innocent Hermione was then determined to grasp this memory. This one kiss she knew now she would never forget. She pulled away, her forehead leaning against his to allow the capturing of some breath. He smiled a sweet smile making his already beautiful eyes look even more beautiful than usual, but she dared not say it to him, the last thing she wanted to do now was boost his ego. Still Hermione couldn't keep herself from smiling at the thought of the feelings that he had aroused within her and finally said, "You’re so annoying."
“Is that why you hide?”
Hermione tore her eyes away from his and shook her head. “I don’t hide from you because you’re so annoying I hide because I am hiding from me. I’m scared Malfoy,” she whispered the last part.
“I understand. Is it me, you’re scared of?”
“At first yes,” she admitted. “But after that first kiss I felt that need to seek you out and see what can happen. But with this war going on I decided not play on my feelings. I’ll admit I wasn’t sure why I felt a sudden attraction to you, that’s when I did some research. Did you know that your eyes have a certain glow to them?”
“I-yes, but it only happens with you. I’ve kissed other lips once upon a time to see if the others would cause the same effect, but it only happens with you,” he explained.
Hermione felt her heart stutter for a moment not happy that he had kissed other lips, but in the back of her mind she knew he had to. The thing that they wanted most after all is forbidden.
“It’s rare you know, for perfect mates to find each other.”
“I know, but it’ll be our secret just until this war is over.”
“What if one of us dies,” cried Hermione.
“It’s a good thing we haven’t mated yet,” he smiled sadly, wiping away one of her stray tears.
“Is that why you keep telling me not until I’m ready?”
“Believe it or not, but yes it is. In this war I am certain you have a higher chance of survival than I, and even if you had said yes this instant I would feel the need to turn you down. Yes, I can give you pleasure, but I wouldn’t allow us to mate, I would rather you continue with your own life and forget about me,” he explained making her look him in the eyes.
Hermione pushed him away. “What makes you so certain I would move on? I see how you are trying to be selfless here, but it is also selfish. What if at the end of the war I cannot get myself to move on and you have died? We’ve already had contact-stop that,” she screamed pushing his hands away from her face she didn’t want to look him in the eyes. “Stop trying to mesmerize me into forgetting you.”
“I’m not trying to mesmerize you into forgetting me,” he admitted placing his hand on her face once more making her look him in the eyes.
Hermione closed her eyes, she had already figured out his plan all along and she was not going to let him carry on fully. She was after all still her own person. He could try and make her forget about him, but she would still remember him physically. Gathering her courage she pulled him closer to him trapping him in one of her hugs. “Don’t let go just yet, please. I’ll let you do what you must, but please don’t let go yet.” He embraced her allowing her to cry on his shoulder. It broke his heart as much as it broke his to go through with his plan, but he needed her to move on and have a happy life. He was already certain that death would follow him soon, since he didn’t want to complete his task.
Wiping away at her tears he makes her look him in the eyes one last time. Hermione tried looking away, but he kept her still. “Please don’t,” she begged. “I swear I’ll be yours just as you said from the very beginning. The seed had been planted that day on our fourth year. You just can’t go and make me forget because of the inevitable war,” she choked out.
“What I did that night was very selfish of me. Potter knew that war was coming then and now that it is so near I cannot let you suffer Hermione. I’d rather you see me as the enemy that I am to be and not as the match that we could be if our time were to be different.”
Hermione tried shaking her head not wanting to hear his parting words but his hold on her chin hardly allowed for any movement of her head. She got mad at herself for allowing herself to keep her hair up, if her hair had been down that would allow for some of his words to be somewhat muffled and the upcoming spell could be easily broken.
“I beg of you Draco, please don’t do this. We can work around this,” breathed a frantic Hermione.
He shook his head sadly before giving her a peck on her lips. He then proceeded to reconnect their eyes. “I am your enemy and you are mine. All of our kisses, they never happened.”
Hermione blinked several times. She shook her head before she took a look at her surroundings. Nothing looked out of place, but she felt out of place. Jumping off of the table she grabbed her belongings and proceeded to head back to the common room.
“I just need a little nap no need to go see Madam Pomfrey,” she told herself.
No need at all.

Hermione paced in front of her chimney which roared with life, it’s fire warming her body as she made her rounds. She felt mad, not mad as in upset, but mad as in crazy. She told herself she couldn’t fool herself any longer and that she had to break it off with him. Five years after the war and three years officially being together, she just couldn’t do it anymore. She was elated when he had decided that the two would be official, but there was always that but.
I just can’t do this anymore.
“Hermione, what’s wrong?”
“Ron!” she exclaimed caught off guard. “When did you arrive?”
“Not that long ago,” he said as he scratched the back of his head, “tell me Hermione, what’s wrong?”
“Us,” she blurted out. “I can’t do us anymore. I dunno if you’ve noticed, but I cannot seem to be myself anymore. The last thing I want to do is hurt you Ron, but I just can’t,” she said much more calmly.
She heard him inhale and exhale, glad that he had taken to heart what she had taught him in order to keep his cool whenever he became upset. “Thank you, Hermione.”
Hermione looked at Ron taken aback, not expecting his words. “That’s it?” she asked stupidly and he simply nodded. “I know it’s been a long time coming, truth is I only asked you to be in this relationship, because I was sent a note asking to make you happy. Clearly I’ve failed,” he said with a sheepish smile while scratching the back of his head.
Hermione smiled in return. “Ron, you haven’t failed at all. Indeed you did make me happy, it’s just that this, what was us it just doesn’t sit well.”
“I know.”
“We can still be friends, right?”
“Of course, but we best go some time without seeing each other first so it’s not so awkward.”
“I u-understand,” uttered Hermione.
“Goodbye.”
“Bye.”
And that was the last time Hermione saw Ron that is until a few more years later. Their friendship had rekindled as though their relationship had never happened. Out of the trio she was the only one that had yet to settle down with anyone. She had tried to take on lovers and start relationships with other men, but they all failed. Not one of them caused the spark that she had been looking for, the spark that she had been missing all this time.

“Oh my dear Hermione, who is it that you are looking for?” asked Ginny while she took a sip of her orange fizzy.
Hermione sighed and brought her attention back to the redhead sitting right in front of her and smiled reassuringly. “I dunno Gin, but this single streak of mine has got to come to an end. I’ll be twenty-eight soon and still no child in sight,” complained Hermione.
Ginny broke out into a fit of laughter while Hermione glared at her for a moment before joining her. Ginny wiped away a tear of mirth and smiled at Hermione. “Ah only you Hermione would complain about that. You must get bored to see me knocked up even though I am only with my second child,” smiled Ginny. Hermione shook her head, “you know that’s not true Gin. Anyways my lunch break is almost over. I must bid you adieu for now.”
Ginny stood up from her seat to hug her friend before they went their separate ways. “Alright alright, but next time there is no escaping my questions.”
“Oh Gin,” smiled Hermione as she let go of Ginny and made her way to exit the small muggle restaurant.
Hermione made her way to her usual Apparating spot in the muggle world and proceeded to Apparate back to a spot near her job. She walked the rest of the distance and entered the nearly quiet office.
“Welcome back Miss Granger. Did you have a good lunch?”
Hermione smiled at her secretary Izzy upon being greeted. “Indeed I did, you may go take yours now. I apologise for making you wait so long. You know how Ginny can get,” explained Hermione sheepishly.
“It’s not a problem Miss Granger,” smiled warmly Izzy. “I will be stepping out today for my lunch. If you need me Miss Granger, please do not hesitate to call me back.”
“I know I know and I promise Izzy. Now go,” said Hermione waving away her worker.
“Bye Miss Granger,” said Izzy as she exited the small building.
Hermione didn’t even get to say bye as usual and proceeded to shake her head. “I wonder how much longer until I get her to call me by my name,” she sighed. Hermione immediately got back to work. She picked up the list to her right that still needed to be taken care of. Hermione frowned deeply, Izzy had already taken care of all their orders per usual. “I swear that girl can run this business all by herself.”
Sighing Hermione turned around to be face to face with a customer that she had not heard enter the small building. Blushing in embarrassment she began to apologize. “I am so sorry, please ignore my musings. How can I be of he-“
Hermione stopped midsentence upon recognizing the man that had entered her small business. “Malfoy?” she questioned.
