Disclaimer; I don't own Harry Potter and make no money off this story
Summary; During the debacle in the Hall of Prophecy when Lucius Malfoy has a hold of Harry, something strange happens. That sets three people on a peculiar path with something very odd to deal with. Not to mention making decisions they never thought they would have to. LM/HP/SB

Prologue
Mentally beating himself over the head, now knowing this whole thing was a trap of some kind, Harry started to struggle to get loose of Lucius Malfoy. He had the prophecy, of course, something the git wanted he was sure, but he wasn't going to give it up. However, when the evil prat pulled him close to get a better grip on him, Harry stiffened up, eyes widening, then started to stammer. The almost electric feeling that danced over his skin then down his body, seemingly straight to his cock, which was instantly hard and throbbing, stunned him completely. Oh, this was a feeling he knew as he had already encountered one connected with it before. Holy shite, there was another one? How could there be another one? And it was Lucius Malfoy! This wasn't going to end well. Standing there, stiff, he didn't know how to react or what to do, just shaking slightly, sure his eyes were buggy in appearance. Because, as sure as Buckbeak loved ferrets to dine on, Malfoy had felt it too. Now what should he do?
Snarling internally, Lucius was cursing all kinds of people for this debacle. The plan had been a sound one, something that had been honed for a long time. Potter was supposed to get the vision then tell someone, somewhere, prompting Dumbledore and some of his Order to show. Voldemort was then going to make an appearance, the prophecy that the old coot was laying so much on was going to end up proven invalid and it would throw the other side into complete chaos. They had toiled over this damned thing for the last year now, perfecting it to where it couldn't fail. It had, though, in a huge way. Oh, the Dark Lord was not going to be happy with this! Now he had to work with the nightmare that had been dropped in his lap without revealing all kinds of plans.
Grinding his teeth, he was trying to formulate what to do with Potter now that he had him and work to keep with the plan as much as he could. However, any formulation of anything was stopped dead in its tracks when he pulled Potter closer to him and the sensations started. Seriously, he was curious as to how he remained clear-headed as fast as what felt like every drop of blood in his body surged straight into his cock. Blinking, astonished at the feelings dancing through his body, his breath became slightly labored and he shook. What in Merlin's good name was this? He sure as hell didn't know, but it felt bloody amazing!Trying to think, he was desperate to connect the feelings with something to figure out what it might be from. As stiff as Potter was in his grip, he was sure the boy had felt it too. The only thing, anywhere, he could place had to do with some kind of magical connection he had read about long ago. As he couldn't remember the whole thing, only the basics, he was lost as to what to do. Was it possible? He, of course, heard about some professing it when they attached themselves to someone, declaring it was forever. From what he knew, those that did that kind of thing were deluded because they usually ended up divorced. This though—there was no denying it. He felt it and was sure Potter had as well.Going with his instinct on the matter, hoping to work it out, he inclined his head, keeping an eye out on what was going on around him. So far, it appeared the other Death Eaters were busy with those that had come with Potter. Good. Voice shaking slightly, he said to the young man, “Look like you're struggling. I won't hurt you, but we need to make this look good.”Still stunned and rigid, Harry didn't know what to do. He didn't trust the prat, no doubt there, but he didn't want anyone thinking this was off either. Doing what the man said, he started struggling, hoping it was a good enough acting job that no one would think something was off if they looked in this direction.Pleased with that, as some seemed to be glancing in their direction, Lucius kept an eye out then whispered, holding Potter closely, his touch becoming more of a stroke than anything else. Quietly, he said, “You feel it too, don't you?”Knowing there was no sense in denying it, Harry mumbled, “Yeah.” Flushing slightly as his cock began to throb, he wanted to yell for Sirius through the connection they had, but knew it wouldn't work. He was closer than when at Hogwarts, but the amount of magic here would probably negate it the way it did in some places. Now he didn't know what to do. This was bad, really bad.Liking that the young man confirmed it, Lucius asked as pieces of what he had read about slid into place better, “I've heard of this before, but am curious if you know what it is.”Giving a mental moan of pain over what was asked, Harry didn't know what to do. He knew that the kneazle was out of the bag, and Malfoy apparently knew what this was, so there was no denying it. Which meant he was going to have to tell Sirius, because he had to know. Shaking his head, still trying to look like he was struggling, he mumbled, “I know.”“How is it you know about such a thing?” Lucius asked, slightly stunned and curious. There was no backing away from it now if what he was remembering was right and it would just grow from here since they had connected. It was also going to throw spanners into all kinds of works, something the Dark Lord needed to know about.Shutting his eyes, Harry didn't know what to say. As it had connected once, Malfoy was going to find out about the other, probably very quickly. He hadn’t read much on this, relying on what Sirius had done to get the information he did have. What he did know told him the man was going to find out one way or another. “Because I've felt it before and it's moved on from there,” he finally admitted quietly, glancing around, praying someone, somewhere would rescue him from the new nightmare he found himself in.Astounded, Lucius didn't know what to say. Taking it in, eyes darting around, trying to find somewhere to drag Potter so he could get information, he didn’t know for sure what to do. “There is another in this?” He asked quietly. With a dejected nod, Harry sighed.“Have you consummated the connection with them?” Racking his memory for what he learned of Potter from Draco, he was trying to think who it might be. From all intelligence he had, he hadn't heard the boy was involved with anyone. There had been a slight crush type thing on Cho Chang, but that was long over. The only thing Draco mentioned at times was the Weasley chit seemed to have Potter in her sights. However, from what he was told, Potter didn't seem to be interested in her. For that he was thankful, but it left him at a loss as to who it might be.Embarrassed by that, Harry grumbled, looking down, “Yeah.”Desperately trying to think, easing them sideways, hoping to vanish into one of the stacks of jars out of the line of sight and the battle that now seemed to be going on, Lucius told the young man, “You have nothing to worry about. I can't hurt you, as I'm sure you know by now. We just need to talk, nothing more.”“This is a nightmare,” Harry mumbled, knowing Sirius wasn't going to react well at all.“It was predestined, so there is nothing we can do,” Lucius told him softly, giving him a gentle pat. Now he was curious, though, so he asked, “Who is it?” That he felt he had to know so he knew not only what he was in for, but how to deal with the situation from there. All he hoped was that it was someone he wouldn't want to strangle every time he looked at them.Harry sure as hell didn't want to answer that! Oh, Merlin, this was bad. Stammering, he didn't know what to say, eyes darting all over for a rescue of some kind.“Harry, I can't hurt them. And I'm going to find out. Just tell me. It lets me know what I'm dealing with here, like if they are younger than you. If that's the case, I have a real problem,” Lucius told him, sliding further towards one of the stacks, keeping a wary eye out. Oh, hells bells, he hoped they weren't younger than Potter! That would be a bloody nightmare if they were! Potter's age alone was cringe-worthy for him. Younger? He didn't think he could handle that and it would be something that could get him into real legal trouble nothing he would be able to manage could get him out of.Not having thought of that, Harry muttered, “He's not. He's a couple years younger than you.”“It's a man?” Lucius asked, making sure to confirm that, relaxing about the age topic.“Yes,” Harry sighed, allowing Lucius to pull him along to the stacks while keeping an eye out. He didn't know what the bloody hell was going on, really, but he was praying that something, somewhere would show up to get him away from Malfoy so he could meet with Sirius to figure this out.Pleased with that as it meant he wasn't going to be dealing with someone that could get him in serious legal trouble, Lucius asked, “Who is it?” Once more trying to sort through information on Potter, he could only come up with two names that might fit; Lupin and Black. As far as he knew, though he might not have knowledge of it, those were the only two around the right age the young man had contact with.Stammering, Harry didn't know if he should tell the man or not. Oh, this was bad! Especially with Sirius being wanted.Thinking it over as he slid them closer to the stacks, it hit him. Eyes widening, he mumbled, eyes darting everywhere to keep an eye on who was doing what, “It's Black, isn't it? Your godfather? That's why he was made your godfather.” It made sense now. Lupin would have made a far better parental figure for Harry than Black ever would have, despite being a werewolf. And if the Potters had made Lupin his godfather, there would have been nothing anyone could have done about it, despite him being a werewolf. Which meant, if he was reading this right, that Black had known since Potter was an infant. Though it wouldn't have been his first choice when it came to something like this, preferring a woman, it was sure as hell better than some of the alternatives. Not saying anything, Harry just nodded, screaming for Sirius through the connection though he was sure it wasn't getting through. Eyes darting all over, taking in everything, he moaned in mental pain when he saw more bodies seeming to turn up out of nowhere. From what he could see, they were both Order members and Death Eaters. This wasn't good.“Shite,” Lucius mumbled as he saw the makings of a full out battle now coming. Order members seemed to turn up out of nowhere, and he thought he had even spied Dumbledore in the mess. He muttered, “We need to talk this over, just not right now. I'm not going to ask you to trust me, as I know that won't happen, just rely on what you felt. I can’t hurt either you or Black. Right now, I need you to play along with something to get both of us out of this mess and make it appear that nothing is off with either one of us. Can you do that?”Out of this mess with no one the wiser was good with Harry, so he nodded.“What I'm going to do is drag you back where everyone can see us. Struggle like would be expected. Then I need you to drop the Prophecy. Make sure you do it with enough force that it breaks. First, though, before you do that, we both need to look at the label. That's all.” Lucius told him, stoking the young man's stomach gently where his arm was wrapped around him.Though not understanding that, Harry did as Malfoy suggested, struggling, but holding the Prophecy jar then turning it so they could both see the label. When he looked at it, his eyes widened at the word invalid that was stamped across it in big, bright red letters that flashed. “Invalid?” He asked softly, trying to keep on struggling.“Remember that, no matter what anyone tells you. Pass it along to Black as well. Something is amiss here, keep that in mind, Harry,” Lucius told him, moving them more towards the center of the room where everyone could see them. Mumbling, scanning around, he said, “When you 'get loose', I’m going to cast a spell at you. It's not going to injure you, but it's going to look like I’ve cut you up some and left bruising. All you're going to feel is a mild tingle. Tell Black what I just said and he'll know how to fix it, then fill him in on what just happened. This way no one thinks anything is off and won't question what they see.”Letting out a shaky sigh then giving a brief nod, Harry stiffened up. He didn't trust Malfoy to throw any kind of spell at him, that's for sure. If it was to just look good, though, he would deal with it.Making sure they were in a place that everyone could easily see them, Lucius whispered, “This is where we do it. Struggle, smash the Prophecy then we'll make it to where it looks like you managed to get loose. We'll communicate soon as to what happened. Remember the Prophecy and what we discussed. Make sure you fill your godfather in,” Lucius counseled softly. Feeling the lad nod, he said, “Alright, Harry, make it look good.”Taking that for what it was, Harry began to really struggle. While doing that, he jiggled the Prophecy around to where it went crashing to the floor, shattering. Then, howling, like would be expected of him, he pulled loose and began to move away, holding his wand tightly.Pleased that it went well and was certain that it looked good for everyone, Lucius snarled for appearances sake and threw the spell at Potter. Once that was done, he disappeared into the stacks of prophecies to go find the Dark Lord and report in.Fighting not to laugh as the spell, whatever it was, hit him and it tickled, Harry then dashed off to help his friends. Pleased to see some Order members there, hoping his godfather would be one of them, he moved quickly, thoughts racing over what had happened and what he had to tell Sirius.
Screaming Sirius' name as he was battling with Bella near that damned Veil, Harry headed in that direction as fast as he could, only being stopped when Remus grabbed hold of him. Seeing the spell hit and Sirius falling backwards towards the Veil, he screamed louder, that connection between the two of them setting off all kind of unpleasant things as his godfather was facing death. However, before Sirius went through the Veil, a bright gold shield appeared behind him, cushioning his fall and dropping him sideways. Then an orange-ish colored spell hit Bella, driving her back and dropping her. Eyes wide, panting, seeing Sirius sit up, Harry saw Lucius step out slightly and nod to him, a smirk on his lips then he vanished, moving away. He assumed that no one else saw the man as he was trying to stay hidden, but he had stopped it. Pulling loose from Remus, he dashed up to his godfather, wand leveled, keeping a look out.
Kneeling down by Sirius as he sat up, he asked, looking around, “Are you alright?”“I'm good, Harry,” Sirius panted, his own wand out, though his hand was a little shaky. Glancing at the Veil over his shoulder, cringing, he asked, voice soft, “What the bloody hell happened? I was stopped by something.”Keeping an eye out, wand ready, Harry said, “We need to find somewhere safe to talk. There is a ton to fill you in on. Something big happened.”“Right, got it,” Sirius nodded firmly, getting to his feet and shoving Harry behind him. Moving them to where they were away from that damned Veil, he caught Remus' attention as the battle seemed to be dying down, other than Voldemort and Dumbledore going at it. Seeing other Order members either helping the wounded or trying to round up Death Eaters, he guided Harry to a hidden place while trying to get Remus to join him.
Standing hidden in one of the stacks of prophecies, peering around the corner to stay out of sight from those that were showing up until he could get the hell out of there without getting caught, Sirius was listening to what his godson had to say, shooting Remus an astonished look here and there. “What the fuck?” He asked quietly. “Are you sure?”
Nodding vigorously, peering out as well, Harry mumbled, “Trust me, I couldn't make something like this up. I was trying to get through to you with the connection, but with the magic down here--” trailing off, he shrugged. The spell they used to have an odd form of telepathy wasn't the best in the world as they had found out. In places with heavy magic, it didn't work well, if at all. That led to problems like this. Shaking his head, Sirius muttered, “This is shite. A big pile of it. I never knew there was a third. You—well, we knew about that and I explained it. A third and it's Malfoy? This is seriously fucked up.”“You don't have to tell me that,” Harry grumbled, keeping an eye out. Glancing at Remus, who was looking incredulous and shaking his head, he lowered his voice and imparted, “It was the same exact reaction, Sirius. I'm still hard from it!”“Bloody hell,” Sirius muttered, rubbing his eyes.“Are you sure that the Prophecy said invalid, Harry?” Remus asked quietly, keeping an eye out on what was going on.“It said invalid,” Harry told him firmly with a nod. “In big, bright red letters that flashed.”“We've all been guarding an invalid Prophecy with our lives!” Remus muttered, exasperated, looking up at the ceiling and shaking his head. “Arthur nearly died over an invalid prophecy! This is madness!”Rubbing his eyes, Sirius shook his head, “Oh, this is bloody bad.” Looking back at Harry once more, he asked, “And it was Malfoy that saved me with a shield of some kind?”“It was. It was gold, that's all I know. He also threw the spell at Bella that took her down.” Harry told him firmly.“Good thing, that.” Sirius chuckled dryly. “If I had gone through that damned Veil, you would have died right along with me because of the connection. Bloody hell. He knows it's me that's the other?”“He guessed, I didn't tell him,” Harry admitted. “He does though. I get his end, honestly. He wanted to make sure because of the age issue.”“Yeah, I sure as hell get that,” Sirius chuckled mirthlessly, shaking his head. Reaching out and ruffling Harry's hair, Sirius said, tone soothing, “Don't worry, you did the right thing. He was going to find out. There is no way to hide this from him. We just have to worry about keeping it hidden from everyone else is all.”Putting a hand on Harry's shoulder then giving a squeeze, Remus told him gently, “You did what was best, Harry. It was the only thing you could do given the circumstances and with what you were working with. We'll work with it from here and take whatever as it comes.”“If he gets in contact with you, let me know as fast as you can. We're going to have to deal with it, and a ton of other shite along with it,” Sirius told him firmly. Seeing Harry nod vigorously, he said, “Let me see if I can find the mirrors your father and I used in school. I'll get them to you somehow in a day or so. If something comes up, use those until school gets out. We're working on something here to where I stay with you over the summer. This mess might make that easier.” Stepping back, he cast a spell on Harry's face, one he thought might counter what Malfoy had done if his godson described it right. Pleased that the 'damage' was fixed, he said, “Don't worry, Harry, we'll figure this out. Then we'll work with it from there.”“And get whatever it is Malfoy knows,” Remus added quietly. “Something is off here, though I don't know what. We need to know what it is. Malfoy's end might be biased, but it can help us slide things into place, that's for sure.”“I will, don't worry,” Harry told him with a firm nod. Snickering, he said, “No way I'm dealing with this mess on my own! And it's not like I can tell anyone what is really going on. All of us would be in a world of trouble if I did that.”Laughing, Sirius ruffled his hair, “No shite, Harry! Just keep doing what you have been and we'll go from there. Just trust me and Remus, we've got something going here that will help.”Leaning against Sirius, feeling better as he did, Harry sighed, shaking his head as Dumbledore came towards the direction where they were hiding. That meant that he would probably be going back to the school, though he didn't want to, and would be away from Sirius again, something that was starting to actually hurt if they spent too much time apart. There was no way around it, though, so he would deal with it.Giving Harry a soft kiss on the top of his head, Sirius rubbed his back and mumbled, “It's only for a few more days. We'll get through it. Don't worry.”“I know,” Harry muttered back. “Still sucks though.”“That it does,” Sirius grinned then straightened up as Albus slipped in with them.
A.N.- Though this may sound similar to a plot I have going for another one, trust me when I say it's going strange places. It was, initially, going to be the same story, but split off into two. So, though some elements may be similar, it's not the same. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
