AN: This story was originally posted on fanfiction.net under my penname HeavyMetal-Chic. I have removed all of my works from fanfiction.net and am now posting almost exclusively on AFF.Org. I would also to point out that this long mess of stuff will only be located in the start of the first chapter. There are several commonly used plot devices from both fandoms used in this story. I don’t claim ownership of any of them.

Summary: The magical world is gearing up for one of the most explosive confrontations it’s ever seen, when their fifteen-year-old Savior goes missing during the summer. Suddenly, one of the most powerful figures of the Light is waging a full-scale war against one of the most powerful Pureblood families of the Magical world and the most powerful group of people in the Muggle world. What does young Harry have to do with this group? Why are the Malfoys siding with them? And why the hell is Harry a Cat-boy?
Prelude: It Begins

     Lily Evans was pregnant but only a few people knew it. Her fiancé was a young man named James Potter. The two of them met at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when they were eleven-years-old. He was in love with her from the moment they met, but it took her six years to return his feelings. At the start of their seventh year she finally gave him a chance. By the end of their final year James Potter had proposed and Lily Evans had agreed to marry him.
     Shortly after the two of them graduated from Hogwarts, Lily became pregnant with their first child. By the time Lily found out that she was pregnant the two of them had already defied Lord Voldemort, the man known as the most powerful Dark Lord to ever exist, three times and had been convinced to go into hiding by a man named Albus Dumbledore, who was the Headmaster of Hogwarts. Lily Evans might have been highly talented in Potions and Charms, but she was still a Muggleborn. No amount of magical talent could save a Muggleborn from Lord Voldemort’s wrath. If they had been captured by the Dark Lord his followers would have done horrible things to her before killing her. James on the other hand, would have been given a chance to join the Dark Lord’s ranks. James Potter was from one of the older Wizarding families and the Dark Lord would have viewed him as a fine addition to his Death Eaters. Of course James Potter would never join them. He may have been several things throughout his life but he would have never tortured or killed someone for sport. James may have been a bully when he was a kid, but he grew out of that as he matured.
     The young couple got married and moved to a comfortable yet small three bedroom cottage in Godric’s Hollow shortly after finding out that they were to be parents. It was in this house that their first child, named William Sirius Potter, was born on February 23^rd, AC 179. His eyes were a darker shade of green than his mother's and was named William after his Paternal Grandfather and Sirius after one of his Father’s closest friends. Less than six months later Lily and James learned that they were expecting a second child. On April 17^th, AC 180 the Potter family welcomed their second child into the family, naming him Alexander Remus Potter. Alexander Remus Potter was also named after important people in his family, Alexander after his Maternal Grandfather and Remus after another close family friend. Six months after his birth, Lily learned that she was expecting their third child. On July 31^st, AC 181 Harry James Potter was welcomed into the Potter family. He was named Harry after Lily’s favorite uncle growing up and James after his Father. He was also the only child in the new family to have the exact same shade of green eyes as his mother, and in just a little over a year he would save the Wizarding World from the very same Dark Lord his family was hiding to avoid. Sirius Black was named Godfather of the three Potter children, a title that he accepted with pride.
     Shortly before Harry’s second Halloween, his first being just a few months after his birth, Albus Dumbledore contacted the Potter family with bad news. Sirius Black, who was the Potter’s Secret Keeper as well as Godfather of the three children, had been targeted by Lord Voldemort because of his closeness with the Potter family. Albus Dumbledore wanted Sirius to go into hiding and for the Potters to change their Secret Keeper. The old man suggested that they use another close friend of theirs, a man named Peter Pettigrew as their new Secret Keeper. They protested at first, wanting to use their friend Remus Lupin, from whom the Potter’s second son got his middle name, instead of Peter Pettigrew but Dumbledore had already convinced Remus to go into hiding himself. Remus had been forced into hiding because of his Ministry known status as a werewolf. In the end the Potters agreed to use Peter as their Secret Keeper because they didn’t really have any other choice.
     The change in Secret Keeper had only been in place for three weeks when everything fell completely apart. On Halloween night AC 182, just three months after Harry’s first birthday, Lord Voldemort and his loyal followers called Death Eaters attacked the Potter family home. Thankfully the Potter family had been prepared for the possibility that their initial protective spells would fail. When the Potters first moved into their home they realized that there was a small room that could only be reached by going through a four foot tall door well hidden in the laundry room. Originally it was meant to be a storage closet, but when Lily first saw the room she came up with a different idea for how to use it. At eight feet by eight feet, the room was the perfect size for a safe room in case they were ever attacked. As their small family grew child by child and their infant sons grew into toddlers they began to make a game out of the safe room. It became their secret club, that only family and close family friends were to know about. All it took was a few simple charms to completely hide the door to the little safe room from all forms of magical detection.
On the night of the attack, James got three-and-a-half-year-old William and two-and-a-half-year-old Alexander into the room just before house was over-run by Death Eaters. He locked the room with magic and returned to the living room to defend his family. While James was making sure that William and Alexander were protected Lily had run upstairs to get Harry from his crib. Harry had been put to bed earlier than normal because he was still getting over an ear ache. If he had been downstairs with the rest of his family on Halloween night things may have turned out much differently. James, talented as he was in Defense magic, was no match for the Dark Lord. He had already been killed by the time Lily got to the nursery that held Harry, the same nursery where she died pleading for the life of her youngest son. That night her sacrifice allowed Lord Voldemort’s fatal magic to bounce off of the one-year-old and rebound onto him. Harry was left in his nursery with nothing but a scar on his forehead, crying for his Mother as the Death Eaters ran for their lives. His brothers remained locked in the safe room, which contained food with special charms took keep the small children from choking on it.
     A few hours later Rubeus Hagrid arrived to remove the Potter boys from the house under Dumbledore’s orders, just as Sirius Black was arriving. The two of them exchanged a few words before Sirius left his motorbike for Hagrid to use to transport his Godsons some place safe. If Sirius had been paying closer attention to Hagrid he would have noticed that something wasn’t quite right with him, but Sirius was too focused on tracking down Peter Pettigrew to notice anything at all. As Hagrid entered the remains of the Potter house all memory of the fact that the Potters had three children instead of one completely left his mind. Hagrid was left with only memories of the youngest Potter child. It took Hagrid a few moments to get to Harry, but once he had the still crying one-year-old he left the house without even pausing to think about the two older children. Hagrid took little Harry to Little Whinging, Surrey where Albus Dumbledore was waiting to place him with his only remaining relatives.
     Once Harry was placed on the doorstep of Number Four Privet Drive with a letter to his maternal Aunt explaining the situation, Albus returned to the house in Godric’s Hollow. Albus had been close to the Potter family since the couple were students at Hogwarts, and that closeness meant that he knew most of the little family’s secrets. His knowledge of the family included exactly where the hidden club room was and exactly what enchantments protected it. He found the two children still comfortable in their clubhouse. The two older Potter children knew the old man and trusted him, so when he unlocked the door and called to them they ran right out. As soon as they were close enough their memories were wiped. William was then abandoned in the Russian wilderness. Alexander received the same treatment, with the exception of being dumped in the American Southwest. Even if Petunia Dursley nee Evans had cared enough to look into why only one of her nephews was left on her doorstep she would not have been able to. The moment she started to read the letter that was left with Harry a charm woven into it wiped all memory of the other two children. Albus Dumbledore only needed the youngest Potter child alive and within his grasp, the other two children were unneeded and he wanted to make sure that they would stay out of his way.
