• To Harry Potter birthdays didn't really matter much, they were just like every day. He would wake up, start cleaning and cooking trying to avoid his 'uncle's' fits of rage. He had woken up like usual, going to the bathroom first, his eyes still half closed as he did so. He washed his face to wake himself up before looking in the mirror, what he saw startled him. instead of the usual scrawny boy with a mop of shaggy black hair and green eyes, he saw someone with hair as smooth as silk and though his eyes were still green they almost seemed to glow, but it wasn't the fact that his hair had grown to the small of his back that alared him, no it was the large pair of pure black feathered wings sprouting from between his shoulder blades that convinced him he was going insane. It explained the pain he was feeling in his back, it also explained the weight that had nearly caused him to fall when he had first stood that morning. His head pounded as an owl tapped at the window until it finally opened and the owl just dropped a letter before leaving. 'Dearest Harry, if youre reading this then you have just come into your inheritance, my son you are not a normal wizard, you are what the wizarding world call a Faerie, my son there are two types of Faerie, a submissive and a Dominant. There will be a difference between the two,submissive aresmaller and their hair is quite long and their ears are slightly pointed. I am a dominant and your mother was a submissive, and though she was a muggleborn she had faerie ancestry. Love James Potter.'
