Reviews for Songs of Regret

Combining the communication mirrors with a magical painting to give an apparation destination is pure genius. I love it when fanfic authors invent new ways to use magic. Well done. I'm relieved that Draco made it through the Dark Mark ceremony relatively unscathed and that Ron will not be a recurring problem for Hermione. As always, looking forward to the next chapter.

    Altering time has begun....

    Wondering what you'll change next.

I like it I don't mind you're going off canon.

Okay, so he made it through and she has gotten things under control on her end. Now, we just have to set up Harry to kick Voldy's butt, gather up the Death Eaters and get them all in Azkaban with their magic bound forever, and then get Draco and Hermione back together, so they can prove his innocence. Easy peasy! lol Looking forward to seeing how you do it all. :-) Thank you!! HG4eva

That was beautifully done, though horrifyingly devastating. I hope you are a VERY happy ending type of writer, because after all of this, they need some true joy. Thank you for not making Ron an ass. I truly appreciate that. :-) Thanks! HG4eva

Hey I really like this story so far! After you reviewed mine I thought I'd see what have written! I feel bad, I accidently deleted your review when I was trying to delete a disclaimer message from adult fanfiction so if you read my story and you don't see the review, that is why. Anyway, love you work and thank you for the review! :)

ouch. The way that was drawn out, hour by hour and minute by minute, was excruciating and yet it made it feel all the more real. Impressive.

I'm very surprised by Ron's reaction. Like Ginny I wouldn't have expected him to be so mature about it. Certainly not yet. He liked her since he met her though? Having a hard time with that, considering canon, as he didn't seem exactly thrilled with her on the Hogwarts Express or later during classes. :shrugs: Whatever. Perhaps its the more typical way people tend to change their own history in their heads to what they'd like to think. Just because someone says something doesn't make it fact. Still I like this, remembering she is his friend and to care for her. She's lucky to have that.

I suspect Draco forgot to inform Hermione that he was going to be unavailable for three days starting with his marking? That's going to be even more difficult for her in a way I would think.

    Thanks so much for writing.

I am blown away by how intense this story is. I play each song Hermione teleprojects as I read your chapters and the eroticism of the sensual scenes is magnified exponentially. Then your descriptors of their heartache and longing -- well-- I am teary-eyed and sitting here reading with my stomach muscles in a knot because I am right there with them. You write beautifully, powerfully. Great story. Now, get Draco out of harm's way and get Ron's hands off of Hermione so I can relax and enjoy this some more. :)

Hahaha! Part Seer... Booyaka! ^_^ That made my day.
Of course there's about a million potential situations for who sees into one of the mirrors and how, but really I'm looking forward more to how our protagonist pair try to cover up when it happens.

Loved Draco being an archer. The whole "bare chested archer in the rain" imagery was very clear for me. So sadly beautiful.
I also like that Severus and Draco are already there for each other. I'm sure it will make things so much easier for both of them. But they'll have to be extra careful to not let their guards down in those places more likely to be caught -particularly Malfoy Manor. I was worried during their conversation... but then I guess Voldie and co. haven't moved in yet. I'll have to check... was that something that happened after Azkaban was freed its prisoners in canon? I think so... but I'm not 100% sure.

Ginny's the observant one, isn't she? Or maybe just lucky THEN perceptive, as she did miss Hermione's reaction to mentioning spying. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one to spot Draco first in the mirror, though I'd be less worried her response. She at least seems to think first before reacting.

Oh! I hadn't thought about Narcissa giving "Margaret" permission... but then I also didn't know about the how the manor's wards functioned. How fortuitous for our leading couple. I'm really glad they had that night... it was beautiful and Hermione's soundtrack had just the right blend of soft sadness and deep love to really augment their physical affections. I personally don't care for the artist's voice, though I otherwise love the song.

Poor Narcissa. I always love how much she truly loves her son, and it makes me happy when fanfictions keep at least that aspect of her. It seems such an integral part of her being, as there was little else we REALLY learn of her in canon. I will continue to reiterate that I hope her claim for Draco's happiness holds true when Hermione's identity comes to light. I wonder though what she thought of "Margaret's" song? Not that she would know it was song-projection, just the song itself. Being Muggle and not yet created I just wonder what she thought upon hearing its words and tune. At least she would know her beloved son was beloved of another.

Lovely, Lovely chapter -despite the sadness of what is in store for Draco.

    Thanks so much for writing.

That was sad, but beautiful. I only hope Narcissa is as loving, forgiving and understanding when the truth is revealed. I also hope Draco gets through the next day as well as possible. :-( Thank you for Ginny! Have a lovely, safe, and happy New Year! HG4eva
