Reviews for The First Horcrux

I'm not sure why more people haven't reviewed this story. I know I like it. Maybe it's the slower pacing and Tom being so young? That's in no way a complaint. It's nice to have a contrast to the sometimes frantic pacing in your other stories. As for Tom's youth, well, horcruxes are mysterious things, who's to say there is not advanced age progression or some other effect to consider. Just look at how different the two incarnations are from each other now. Heck, if he helps them find the other horcruxes, maybe he can absorb their essence somehow and age a little. Even if he stays fourteen, I'll keep reading.

I trust you to know where your story is headed, so don't let the lack of reviews get you down!

Yes, yes, yes! I just love this story! I've been checking out your other fics (the shorter ones not Precious Mudlood) earlier today, and this one is definitely my favorite, though I did like Necessary Sacrifices quite a bit too. Tom's only 14 physically, even if he's really so much older, so it was getting on my nerves how he kept one-upping Hermione. Though she was obviously wary, it seemed she still underestimated him for his age and kept getting caught by surprise.

I loved the ending to this last chapter. She's finally ready to get even - her vindictive streak is one of my favorite characteristics of her. I always thought it was so funny when she got Rita Skeeter in a har, Marietta's face with SNEAK, and lured Umbridge to the centaurs. Now a naked boy got in bed with her, and she's certainly not happy! lol. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter to see how this all plays out.

Congrats to you for this original idea. I'm so glad I discovered this story!!

I think this story needs some loving too!

It is such a creative concept. I have never read anything like it and love where you are going with it. I constantly have a hard time with the idea of a sixty year old man in a child's body. It makes it really surreal. I also love how you made Tom essentially Voldemort's worst enemy. I would really really enjoy seeing a strong Hermione here who kicks ass and can actually stand up to Tom and be his true counterpart!

This fic really shows great promise. I'm loving it so far! The plot is highly unique and you pretty much have unlimited possibilites where to take it. Tom is just what I'd expect him to be in this situation - slipping right back into his manipulative, obsessive and controlling bastard self lol.
I wonder though why Dumbledore didn't extract an Unbreakable Oath from Tom which would prevent him from causing harm? I mean I realize you need Tom in at least some control for the fic to work, but can you think of an explanation which fits in with the plot? I could see Hermione asking Dumbledore about it and him telling her that... but I digress. :)

Do you know that this is the first fic where I would have accepted a slightly more fluffy Dark Lord? One actually developing emotions and all that? lol Though I'm very glad you didn't take that route. :) But it would have worked. I can't wait to read more!
