I hardly ever reveiw stories, so this feels a tad awkward, but I really like your story and can't wait for the next chapter.
I aslo have to say wonderful choice for the first task. I know this was probably explained in a past chapter, but can Ron drop out as honorary champion, or because he agreed to take part in this as his punishment, does he have to go through with it? Not that I want Ron to do so since he deserves to be put in his place...

I absolutely looove this story. You my dear, had incorporated all the aspects I love to read in stories, drama, bashing, showing how Harry became powerful and it is not like a overnight thing, one minute he is useless next BAM he is powerful no u didn't do that. I am also very much excited in the slash that is going to happen i am basically on the edge i am so excited for the next chapter. Just to let you know in chapter 9 towards the last paragrah you wrote

um...i realize that you probably have a life off of the computer, but the edited thingy at the bottom of the summary said that you started this at the beginning of january, but then stopped at the end...i was wondering if the story was abandoned? it is really good. i like how you invented marvolo. there are so many things that you did that no one else that i read did that made this story awesome. i really hope that this isnt abandoned with how good everything is getting. please update?

I have to make a confession. I originally read through this amazing fanfic and I was so interested in the story that I pretty much skipped every Author's Note. Shame on me. :( But when I was going back through and reading again, this time I did read the ANs, and so caught this mention of possibly making a Sirius/Severus relationship. Personally, I do think there are too many stories where Harry is gay and suddenly all of his male and female friends suddenly became gay and pair up with completely unlikely people and they stop being their actual characters and all became sex-obsessed maniacs. I think Sirius and Snape are shown very in character here, and realistic that Sirius has some mood problems after over a decade in almost total isolation from human interaction in Azkaban, never mind the mental affects of having to hide in a dog's mind and only partially escaping the mental torment of Dementors. I also like how Sirius can get Snape to act less composed and more immature, and how it wasn't instantaneous but instead you showed them slowly getting along better and even then it isn't perfect. I suspect they will never actually admit to anything like friendship aloud, too. I would prefer to keep them in this relationship that has grown out of their history and different personalities and loyalty to Harry-- they are in a relationship, why do we have to add sex? Also, Snape's long-held love for Lily is described beautifully and I kind of like the idea that he doesn't feel comfortable feeling or comparing any romantic interests to her, which is why he didn't find someone else.

I was interested by your idea that all wizards and witches are pretty much bi-sexual, but with a preference for one sex or the other. I know other stories where the wizarding world is very open about who you choose to love and without prejudice about it, partly because magic enables same-sex pairings to have children, so the argument that it will cut back on the population or destroys chances for heirs to old families to be born is not an issue. I wonder if you have something like that, or will stick with the idea of adoption or a surrogate if Harry thinks about having a family later on.

Wonderful job describing Sirius, Snape, Harry, and Marvolo during the break. It was fascinating to see Marvolo acting like the Dark Lord he is around Snape and for Harry to witness it, and hint how Marvolo isn't that soft. At the same time, I loved Snape looking at Harry and Marvolo's relationship. Snape's sudden doubts about letting Harry Potter around the weapons, and his horror at teaching Harry how to brew poisons had me laughing out loud, even as Marvolo glared Snape into submission. Things do have a way of going crazy around Harry, but I'm sure Marvolo doesn't mind a little destruction if he can please Harry. Great job of writing about so much happening that is intersting on its own and how it builds in the story, so readers are never impatient that "why are we reading about this, can't we just hurry up and learn more about X, i.e. Harry's black fire". Don't know what will happen in the next chapter, but I've been delighted about everything you write so I'm looking forward to it, no matter what happens!

More please! It's just brilliant I love it, Hermione and Ron are getting on my nerves though, can Ron just get eaten by Aragog please? I love your Voldemort I feel it's a very realistic representation of a split soul, unhinged and angry - I'm glad that he's willing to listen to Marvolo and Harry. Not sure how I feel about offing Dudders - I'm sure you'll do it perfectly though, you're good with that stuff. Also I'm glad you gave Harry some flaws, he was coming off very Mary-Sue with his instant talent at everything it's nice in a sort of sad way that he has to actually work for things most of us take for granted, friends, trust etc. I really can't wait for your next chapter, I hope it doesn't take to long!

    Incredible.

I stumbled across In Servitude to the Dark two days ago and read through both stories as rapidly as I could. You have done an absolutely amazing job! I love how you describe dark magic and the magic all around people in nature. You include so much in your stories but everything we learn is so fascinating it feels very easy to read on, not impatient for the conclusion. Ron is, obviously, a self-deluding prat, but I kind of have hope for Hermione. I at first thought she was too in awe of authority and too bookish to let herself be swayed by the emotional and really magical idea of dark magic, but she isn't as purely intellectual as she might want herself to be, and I think Harry might sway her, especially with good things like the Patronus Charm and his sprites. I'm so glad Hermione was learning from her time with the elves, and Harry's way of comparing her S.P.E.W. to the white man's crusade to bring civilization to the heathens and savages was perfect. As much as I want to see Marvolo and Voldemort merge and what will happen after that, I am intrigued by the idea of Harry trying to complete the tasks with borderline dark magic and very curious about what you'll come up with, and so content to wait.

Snape is amazing. Don't worry about him appearing too soft. He is so recognizably Snape, with enough snark and sternness, that his openness with Harry isn't out of character and works well. Their relationship has been one of my favorite parts of both stories for a long time now. You also do a wonderful job of describing Dumbledore and his machinations without giving up and just making him 'evil' or willfully blind to how harsh some of his decisions are for the war and self-righteous. It's very interesting to compare Marvolo to Voldemort and I'm fascinated by seeing more of Harry interacting with Voldemort before and after he merges with Marvolo and is resurected.

Great story, and I am eagerly looking forward to the next chapter!

A fun story so far, but it hasn't been updated in some time...which is saddening, this was just starting to get interesting. While the relationship between Harry and Tom Riddle seems more than a bit creepy, it has an oddly well written component that captures interest while reading...but way too fucking pedo. In any case, continue to update, ja ne.

Hello! First time I'm reviewing one of your stories. I also realize that you are well ahead of where I'm at at this moment but I just thought I would let you know that as of how you have your story written right now the twins would have had no need to try and trick the age line - they would be old enough to just enter it and enter their names. The age limit was actually restricted only to 7th years (i.e. 17 year olds). The twins would be in their 6th year (i.e. 16) during Harry's 4th year so would not have a restriction in your story. :) Just though I would let you know that in case you want to just quickly change that little part to make it consistent. :) Otherwise I absolutely love your story (both this one so far and the one before this). It is obviously well planned and thought out and excellently written. :) Keep up the good work!

I like this so far, the interactions and all. Really, I'm enjoying the way you're portraying Ron. My opinion is he IS a jealous, irrational idiot. I'm glad Hermionie was able to grasp what was wrong with her S.P.E.W ideas! I also agree, first task as dragons, nest-guarding Mother dragons, was not a good choice, especially if they're trying to portray the Tournament in a better light. I'll be looking forward to your next chapter, I'm really pleased so far.
