Reviews for Getting Personal

Aha! So it's a potion of some kind that will do something to prove she loves him? That's probably enough to hold me over until next week. But what if Severus has the same idea? He IS the potions master here. I can't wait to find out!
"Stop it, Hermione. You're trying to apply logic to matters of the heart." I cannot tell you how many times I have heard these own words in my head. I tend to be overly logical and sometimes there's just no reason to love.
I find it interesting that Draco wasn't too surprised to hear about Hermione and Severus. Maybe because it's he's a dom too and can see it, but I thought he'd be surprised about Hermione at least. It's very nice of him to help her out too, though I suppose he could be just thinking about his godfather's happiness.
I hope Hermione's letters are short because she's busy and not because she's trying to keep secrets. I'd like to think she's sneaky enough to write her usual length without alluding to her plans. I feel for Severus because I know how long weeks at school can seem without your usual correspondence to keep you sane.
"His fingers threaded between hers, and he pressed their scars together in a kiss of redemption." Beautiful, just beautiful.
The part about Little Richard made me laugh. I love that her toys are all named because it makes it seem like Severus is sharing her with others. Richard, the Jolly Green Giant, Wellington, and Severus, Hermione's own little harem.
"He could feel the hard weight of the glass pressing on the back of his fingers, and he wondered if she'd ever be up for a threesome with him and Dick." Such foreshadowing here, please write this.
"You know I'm quite a bit bigger than Richard, don't you?" "Push out Richard. He

Wow! What a cracking chapter. I can see why you put so much time into editing. With the depth and breadth of emotions you were conveying/depicting, it

I've read all of your stories and I am floored by your talent. Teaching Miss Granger was one of the best pieces of erotica that I have ever encountered. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and reread it immediately. You truly have a gift and I hope you keep writing because I would read anything with your name on it. I'm very much enjoy reading Getting Personal. I like that we get to see both Hermione and Snape in a different light than in TMG. You write your characters in a way that feels fluid with the way that JK Rowling established them. I can easily believe that these are who her characters would become in adulthood. Also, the fact that you don't try to beautify them is a nice change of pace from what I usually see authors do. Snape has a big beak of a nose and crooked teeth, and Hermione has her busy mane of hair. I love that instead of glossing over these details, you accentuate them and it makes your characters that much more real and easy to relate to. I could honestly go on for paragraphs about how much I love your work, but I'll leave it here. Please never stop writing!

I can't decide how I feel about the progression of this story. I have loved every single second of it, and I thought the last chapter was particularly hot in places, and I loved the idea of them branching out with new toys.

But my problem stems from the fact that I almost can't remember a time in my fanfic life without you and your writing. I discovered Teaching Miss Granger in September and I consumed it at an alarming rate. On the one hand, I felt incredibly guilty (and I think I said as much in a review) that I had come to it late and consumed every chapter at an alarming rate and I hadn't given you reviews on each chapter as we went along, which is what it deserved. But on the other, I was extremely pleased that I was able to go through the chapters without pausing.

I've had the opposite experience with this story. The good side is that I can savour it a little more and it's lasting weeks instead of days. But the down side is that sometimes I forget some of the intricate detail (especially if I am reading other stories in between). I can't tell you how many times I've grinned when I've suddenly remembered it's gone Thursday and there'll be an update.

This has turned into a very long way of saying that I am loving this journey that we're taking with the characters and I am loving every step of your story and although I desperately want the story to end because I want to see how everything turns out, I don't want it to end because I don't want this to be the end of your SS/HG journey.

Thank you for taking the time to write both of these stories. They should quickly become classics.

Ugh I just love this. The part just at the beginning about opening Pandora's box and "the real way to a man's heart was through his prostate" made me laugh out loud. The girl's night was refreshing to read too, I enjoy Luna and her perceptiveness. Severus's explanations of Hermione's different sexual personalities was also very interesting to read. And that he fucking loves "the natural Hermione." The half-blood Prince paddle also made me chuckle, it is very clever.
"If she didn't love him back, he didn't want to know yet."This line made me so happy. It put me at ease to think that he wants the same thing. It was hard to tell before if he'd give in and admit being in love with her. I'm excited to see what Hermione needs from the library to tell Severus that she loves him. I can't wait!
I also love reading the reviews that you and Desert_Sea give each other, they express my feelings in ways I wouldn't be able to do myself. I guess that comes with being fantastic writers.

I absolutely adored the Pandora's box and the worship descriptions. Excellently executed and the metaphor was carried through the entire description of their time together in what was a definitely erotic way.

One thing though: you make a reference to them "going out" but I'm still not sure they could be classified as a regular dating couple since only a few people are aware of their relationship and they have not really acknowledged feelings or connections beyond what he was hired for?? perhaps saying "since they were together" should retain the feel of should she confess her true feelings or not...

Also, the story hasn't addressed the matter of her paying him for his services and how that ties into his feelings for her.

    Just something I note.

Please do keep writing! It's a fantastic story and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Comfort and joy indeed!! So glad they are finally working through the nonsense and are able to see each other. Hopefully now they can have some lemony fun without the projection. Haha

Damn... I want that. Down to the carol-coitus. heh. But comfort and joy...? That sounds perfect. It'd be really nice... even without the verbal assurances and waiting for the other shoe to drop and wondering if it would be picked up again. *sigh*

Neville's reaction to our leading couple was about the most perfect reaction to seeing Severus and Hermione a couple I've ever read. The visual was perfection. I had to read it to my sister-in-law along with an explanation, which made her laugh. Made me glad I'd decided to check fics tonight when I wasn't originally planning to do so. Getting "excited" while staying on my in-laws' couch for the holidays isn't exactly a Comfortable situation. ;) But chapter was SO worth it. I feel everyone's reactions were so believable. Hagrid was awesome about Crookshanks and the whole situation.

Dream Crooks & seeing into Severus' soul Crooks... I feel he's judged Severus justly and found him acceptable to watch and care for Hermione in Crookshanks' absence. I feel THAT is why Crookshanks felt he could pass on when he did: he knew Hermione was in good hands.

Harry took everything rather well, all things considered. I adore little baby James. Too precious. Hermione's explanation of death to the child was just about perfect. My lil'man is rather old hat about dealing with death and people or animals being gone that he is a staple in his school's grief therapy groups. Since his father passed when he was 8 days he's very good at helping other children find comfort in that they at least have memories upon which to cling when they lose a parent or other loved one. It's one of his best traits, and something on which I try to make sure I commend him often.

    Thanks so much for writing.

I can definitely see the wisdom of naming chapters rather than numbering them. They do tend to run together otherwise. The sheer volume of your writing must keep you so busy. I find that banging out a few thousand words every 4-5 days is difficult enough. Do you have the same sleeping problems I do?

So I liked this chapter for many reasons. There was a full journey of emotions and satisfying resolutions which was pleasing. The Christmas puns were great. The sex scene was, as always, excellent. I like how you keep looking to change up the descriptors
