Also- wanted to say a quick "sorry" for asking the Ron questions here. Didn't/Still don't know how to private message? But thanks for answering. I look forward to reading your work on other sites. (I saw that in your profile. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the timely updates! I think my favorite part was how Draco and Hermione had to actually deal with the trauma. Thanks for not just glossing over it, but also not making it too dark. Great writing!

Don't worry about the negative comment. The story is fine. An interesting take on the duo.

I am hoping there is more to this. I didn't see it labeled WIP and I usually hesitate to read unfinished works. It's very good. It's unusual to see certain characters unglued. I like it.

What happened to the labor and delivery? What impact did it have on Hermione and Draco? How long between the birth and going back to Hogwarts? Did a chapter get lost?

Wait a minute - did you seriously just skip THE WHOLE ENTIRE BIRTH? The whole point of this story is that they're having a child together, despite a really terrible beginning. You cannot skip the birth and expect us to just be okay with that. The birth is a pivotal point in the story and in how Hermione and Draco feel about their child and about each other. Does he look like Draco? Can she bond with the baby? Does the baby seem more accepting of her now that he's here? These are important aspects of story and character development, and you can't just skip over them. I've waited for 12 chapters for the birth, and it apparently happened off screen because the author didn't think it was worth mentioning. You've totally lost me on this story. I give up.

For 8 -10. :-) Thank you. Wow, Ron was a first class a$$hole! I hope one day he realizes all he lost and it helps him become a better person to his next set of friends. I didn't hate him in canon like so many others do, sorry, but your Ron, on the other hand, I dislike immensely! I am sorry Draco got so beat up, but at the moment I am aching for poor Hermione. One thing's for sure, I would NEVER have another child with him. Sheesh! I am glad Harry was as level-headed as he could be for his friend. :-) I look forward to more soon! Thank you for all 3 updates. HG4eva

OK, you aren't evil, just mildly ornery. I just loved this chapter and it made dealing with a migraine so much easier. I agree with you about Ron and the way he left Hermione and Harry hanging. Thanks for making my day.

To Schoolteacher623: Normally I wouldn't answer this way (via the REVIEWS page) but the admins on this site flag long author's notes and I despise doing this in the AFF Forums. I prefer messaging more closely tied to the original comments - like AO3 or FF.net do it.

I struggle every time I "write" Ron. JKR didn't do me any favors when she posted on Potterworld that she struggled to see Ron and Hermione together.

So I try to look at Ron as a guy who's surrounded by his betters and doesn't have a good handle for dealing with it. Think about it: the twins and his girlfriend are smarter; his best friend, sister and brothers are better at Quidditch, he's the also-ran third wheel to the Chosen One. He's good at chess and has a really great sense of humor but it's often overshadowed by his gaffs and hesitancy. I try to put myself in that place - a short plant surrounded by tall trees. Then I write the interactions from that perspective.

Hope that helps to see my basic method for bending canon. LOL

Thanks for reading my work. There are many great writers to read who have written better examples of how to do this than I have. Been at this writing fiction thing for about 2.5 years. Still tripping over my own "pen".

And Ron confirms his status as a complete wanker! I agree with you about his leaving- also not at all bitter! :) I'm currently trying to write my very first ever dramione fan-fiction and Ron keeps irritating me! Don't want him to be too stupid, but I really don't want him to be really nice either. Maybe you have advice? How'd you find such a good balance? If you don't mind answering?

Two paragraphs is not a chapter. It does not make your story better to break up important scenes into a bunch of miniscule pseudo-chapters. It makes the action much harder to follow because you aren't posting it all at once.

Has anyone ever told you that you are purely evil? A cliffhanger? Thank you for updating so quickly, I think. Just please, please keep it up. :-)

Wow- Ron. Is. An. Idiot!! And I am okay with that- I never di really like he and Hermione together to be honest. The story is really developing well- your characters are unique and I am enjoying their development. Thanks!

First, thank you for the 2 updates! I should not have read the other reviews before writing mine... sigh. I guess I am alone in my thoughts. :-( I know Draco is doing his best to be there for her and his son, but I don't see him as a saint. He DID rape her and it wasn't "fun" for her, so seeing him every day is making her face things I am sure she'd much rather forget. Plus, she is pregnant with a child that seems to hate her, physically abuses her when her rapist isn't around, and has caused nothing but angst in her life. I hope this kid shows at least a modicum of love for her once he's born, because she really has lost everything for him and all he seems to care about is Draco. Was Ron an ass? Absolutely, and it should be a long while before she forgives him for all he said and did. Another loss for her though; one of her first friends and a person who has been in her life for longer than he hasn't. No matter how horrible he was, it is still a loss and she's allowed to morn. Merlin, I feel horrible for her. :-( But, I do look forward to more of our good storytelling and I hope Hermione will have some happiness and a lessening of her pain by the end. Still loving the "Grannys!" Thanks, HG4eva
