I usually hate time travel fics (mostly because they all seem to be about hermione going back in time and hooking up with tom *insert barfing noise here*) but this story is amazing and addictive. I'm sooooo glad you decided to not abandon it.

YAY YOU'RE BACK!!! I was beginning to think you forgot about this story! What an awesome chapter to come back with. I love each and every conversation and I love how indepth you go for each person.

Thorfinn likes Narcissa!! What? That is awesome! I honestly need to stop trying to guess what will happen in this story becasue there are so many twists and turns and nothing is how I expected it to end up! Of course what I imagine and what you give us are two seperate things. You are an exceptional story teller and an amazing author! I'm so happy you're back and I can't wait for the next update!

Excellent to see this back and sorry to hear your been unwell. Hopefully better now. :)

Well is there anyone not already married who your not going to have hitched up by the end of it. Not just Pansy and Harry but now Narcissas and Thorfinn. ;)

Glad to see that Hermione is starting to recover and also she and Draco are also starting to be more honest about their feelings. Ditto with Pansy. Its now Blaise's turn to be a bit of a pillock, although good to see Ginny is becoming a bit more adventurous as well.

No problem with the break. Take your time and have a good holiday. Sounds like things have been pretty stressful anyway without Christmas so a rest and some fun would probably help you. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter on the 5th Jan but if it's later than that no problem. :)

Good insights into several characters. Both in 1999 and 1863. Especially Luna and Neville and also why Hermione feels some guilt, no matter how unrealistic for the attack on her.

I'm surprised that the plan is for the younger members of the group back in 1999 to go back to Hogwarts. Can't see that Harry is in any way fit for that and it would tear him apart as well while several of the others could well refuse on the basis that either Harry or the lost four might need them and they can't concentrate anyway until all five are safe.

I know the Shawnee mainly from the history of the 1812 period and Tecumseh's attempts to protect the Indian tribes in the region against further encroachments on their lands. From a quick look at Wiki some members held on in the east until forced into what's now Oklahoma after the civil war and I fear that's what's going to happen to Tala's tribe although it sounds like Caleb is likely to be going with them, presuming and hoping they make it through the war.

Another chapter of very good character defining and the interaction of the people involved, especially as they steadily start to question previously held ideas. :)

Well that was nasty. No actual physical rape by the sound of it but close enough that Hermione could be traumatised for the rest of her life. Hopefully the gang and especially Draco can help her recover but its going to be a long job. Was thinking when you identified the date and location that it would be an ordeal for Blaise – as he obviously and understandable expected. However sounds like it is for Hermione, and probably also Draco in helping her recover. Which suggests there might be something personal for Blaise to come, although its not necessarily going to relate to his skin colour.

A bit surprised that Draco was able to march through the camp in full fury mode without attracting hostile possibly fatal attention, although given its the height of the battle I suspect that the rapist were also doing their damnedest to keep away from the fighting which is where most of the force probably was.

I was way off in identifying this location, because I took a 80 years war too literally rather than recognising Lincoln's famous line. Will not make future predictions in reviews to avoid possibly affecting your competition. Be interesting to see what you come up with for the other three periods/locations.

One good thing is that they have located Osiris's descendant already and he has prior experience with other people affected by the curse which makes things a lot easier.

No hurry on the next few chapters,  Losing someone/something close to you is always a blow and with Christmas coming up you have reasons to take a break anyway.  We will keep checking for updates whenever so when you feel up to it.

Before I get to the present people I have to say that YES finally! Dramione!! Though is sucks the way it happened. I know why Draco did and said what he did and his pain was so heartbreaking. I felt so horrible for him. But I'm glad him and Hermione finally worked things out and they are offically together. But Jesus that line where Draco yells that he needed her and she wasn't there...I can't even explain how impactful that was for me. And Blaise for the win for figuring out his friends true pain and anger. He is such an underrated character and I have to say that your Blaise is my all time favorite. He's so strong and I honestly fear for his safety next era. My guess is the Civil war specifically Gettysburg as Abe's most famous speech was related to it.

Now to the people in the present. First off, hats off to you for making Hansy work. Most stories pair her with Ron which is fine but I really like Pansy with Harry in this story. it works and its developement is realistic. I also love how Pansy took it upon herself to check on Harry and helped him. But now...poor Theo! I knew he would eventually break but I never expected him to go as far as trying to do the ritual to take the pain away from Harry. I'm so happy that Harry Ron and Neville decided to help him and be his friend. Poor kid could really use one right now.

Btw Draco's theory is awesome! I never expected that in the slightest. and Poor Blaise showing his softer side with Julia. So sweet. Great chapter and I can't wait for the next one! Should be really exciting! And please don't stop posting on this site. It may not be very many views compared to the other sites but your stories need to be seen by everyone! Ultimately it is your choice and I will follow you where ever your stories may go :)

I just read this all today and it is brilliant... the history you are writing around, their emotions along with their developing relationships with the whole group including the family & friends left behind... the characters you decided to include is greatness  and I'm so excited with the wonderful music lyrics you have included!!

This story is amazing so far. Always so excited for sundays.

I believe the next era to be the American Civil war. Specifically Gettysburg.

Well that was quite a ride with a lot of emotional drama. Thought it was one step forward and about three back when Draco exploded at Hermione, but they seem to have finally sorted themselves out somewhat. :D

Also the other couples are developing. While there hasn't been anything as dramatic when your saying “Ginny laid tucked between her wizards’ legs“ those two are both evidently thinking of themselves as a couple. Also Harry is starting to relax around Pansy. Good side plot with Nott's attempt to shift the focus of the tracker spell. A lot of angst all around but well written and very convincing. Draco is obviously going to be nervous for quite a while understandable.

Interesting idea for why their activities weren't mentioned in the magic history book. It sounds a bit dark when your saying they needed to be there and their presence made things worse, with more killings as a result, although all too probable with the clear evidence the locals have of the actual presence of witches. Possibly could also be argued that in the longer run it might make things better overall as the trials ended up repulsing so many people in the longer run.

In terms of the next location my 1st thought is the 80 years war of Dutch Independence, which would fit with the timing and another nasty period of conflict and bigotry as well. Could be somewhere else of course as probably other conflicts that would be about 80 years in duration.

The fact that Joseph and Julia are heading back to England and then the parchment lit up with the next puzzle suggests that at least their finished here and one out of the five tasks have been completed.

One thought that occurred to me. Did you have Harry take on that role of trying to link up with them as a way so that when they do get home at least their friends and family have a good idea of what's gone on, especially in terms of the fact their going to be two close couples that would otherwise have shocked most of the people who knew them? I know that by causing [a lot of] problems for him its helping it getting Pansy close to him but it also serves as a way of avoiding too much shock when they get home.

Oh wow...You have legit left me speachless with this chapter. I love the song choice and I can definitely see how it works better when imagining everything in slow motion. It made it all that much more impactful. But wow. So much happened and I have no idea where to even begin.

Let's start with the people in the present- Poor Narcissa, I really just want to jump through the screen and hug her tightly. Theo too that poor kid. And Thorfinn! I never expected him of all people to care for Harry as if he was like his own son during that moment. Really gave me a new perspective on him.

For the people in the past- Holy shitball Hermione! I did not know she had it in her to not only murder two people but oh god that threat she gave to Ann! Ruthless and scary and I am so proud! (sheds tear) And my lord we can't forget Ginny letting the girl know how Draco would have killed them all if she had outed Hermione instead. This whole chapter left me with goosebumps! I love it! And way to go Blaise for taking charge and knowing what to do to help heal Draco. But I think my favorite part of this whole chapter is Hermione helping calm Draco with that memory. Also the memories before subtly showing her how long Draco has liked her and protected her. And GOD DAMN that manor scene where you described how Draco was pushing Hermione out! I invisioned the whole thing and it was AMAZING! I honestly have no idea how you write all this but girl you are freaking awesome! I can't wait to see what happens next chapter and I am super happy people are giving you the credit you deserve. I'm assuming its on another site as it appears to be mainly myself and one other person on here and I have seen this story on fanfiction where you have over 150 followers! Congrats on that! Thats amazing! I would create an account on there but I want to make sure people on this site know how great this story is and to review reivew review because you deserve it for all the hard work you have put into this fic.

Keep it up! I wish this could be published as the 8th book to the HP series! It's that good people! Read it and leave a review to let your authors know how fantastic they are doing!

Well that was a lot messier than I was expecting and not sure how that's not going to cause a lot of butterflies. Expecting something more subtle but then as the old adage goes no plan survives contact with the enemy. The fact that two witch-hunters [aka perverted sadists] have been killed along with the clear evidence of witchcraft – which will include the use of black magic i.e. smoke bombs – and the rescue of a proven witch is likely to fan the flames of hatred and bigotry even further.

Also I'm concerned about the future of Joseph and Julia. Not sure how the gang are going to resolve that, as the locals are convinced [rightly in this case] have helped the 'witches'.

I had a feeling that Hermione was going to lose it at some point once she got some idea what has happened to Draco. Didn't think it would go as far as killing people, especially so brutally.  Suspect that will have an impact on her later on.

The plight that Draco has been in and the effects of the mind link means that Hermione really understands how much he cares about her and also increasingly vice versa. So hopefully once this mess is sorted out that will be one big building block towards getting them both together and home.

Like the proposition by Joseph to Ginny as it really surprised her and made her think. Never going to happen with the cultural difference and the fact that Ginny was already suspected as a witch before this chapter but a good little twist.

Hopefully they can save both themselves and the other innocents.

I can 100% tell that you have really put some serious time and research into this story! I can't even begin to think about how much work it takes to not only write a fantastic story normally but the details of the accents and languages you write in to bring the era to life! Simply amazing! You are truely gifted in this field, I don't care what anyone says! This chapter was heartbreaking, scary, exciting, funny, well at the end of course not the torture part lol. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love that each chapter is long like a real book that helps hold me over and I love how enthalling each scene is. I hope Hermione, Blaise, and Ginny can save Draco in time and I hope he forgives them for taking so long. I can't wait to see how they plan to rescue him with smoke bombs! I just hope they don't mess up the past in doing so. And poor Harry man. That kid just can not catch a break! But my heartbreak really lies with Narcissa as she had to watch her son get tortured in front of her through Harry. God poor everyone in this story. I can't imagine the mental effects this will have on everyone. They will all need each other to get through this and jesus this was just the first era! I am truely afraid for the 4 in the past that have to go through 4 more time periods! I wonder if they will be in other countries or just America as I feel Ginny's comment about how America does not have a pretty past a few chapters ago is a clue. Sunday honestly cant come soon enough! Keep up the great work! You are amazing!

Ugh that was bad. All too common unfortunately for what humans throughout history have too often inflicted on each other but still very nasty. And yet probably some way from the worst that could have been inflicted. Very uncomfortable for Harry undergoing all the pain and suffering that Draco is. [Presumably he doesn't also experience the pleasant bits else it could be awkward for him facing Hermione when all this is completed given what's probably going to be happening at some stage.] ;)

I like the way Julia stood up to her father and helped remove his doubts so that he was willing to help hide them when the rest of the mob came around. Also the red herring of the black stallion as I assumed initially that was Blaise's disguise.

Had a brief look on Wiki, my version of Hermione's magic book, ;) to get a better idea of what went on and how Draco could be rescued without too many butterflies. Of course none of the group are mentioned as being among the accused. I'm wondering if they can actually get away with rescuing him subtly with assorted invisibility and mind/control/memory wiping spells so that no one, or at least none of the villains actually remember any details of the group and Draco's arrest. Or at least little enough that there's no lasting memory and hence no problems for Julia and Joseph, which might be a problem if they do make a fairly dramatic rescue as the assorted fanatics are likely to look for more victims and quite possibly targetting them as the 'witches' who escaped were 'obviously' aided by the pair.

The other issue is that the curse seems to relate to things they must do and some interaction with the assorted members of Osiris's family and not sure that's been fully completed yet. Unless its a case of Draco managing to produce an Incorporeal Patronus, possibly demonstrating to him and also Hermione that he has really reformed from his younger days.

One other point is that Ann Putnam, although she dies young by modern standards has another ~25 years ahead of her. Although she seems to have suffered from a lot of health problems, possibly brought on by the stress of her activities during this period. Also she was the only one of the accusers to later retract her claims and apologise for her actions.

Oh my God! Poor Draco...poor Harry...poor everyone! I have a strong feeling your Content Warning is about to come in to play very soon and it has me completely worried for everyone. Not that the warning didn't come into play in Pompeii but Salem is a whole new ball game! Im scared but at the same time extremely excited for next chapter. I wonder if the group knows yet that Julia is the ancestor or maybe even Joesph as he seems nice enough to allow 4 complete strangers into his home with his daughter around. Ann sure as hell is not innocent yet bold that trashy little bimbo. I know she's 12 but damn I really hate her! I hope someone shuts her up and soon and I really hope it's Hermione who does it. Though an angry Ginny who seems protective of the blonde as well after they made up back in the ice age would be a good fit to make ann see the error of her ways. Even Blaise as we have yet to see him really angry. God this story is good! Keep up the great work!
